It’s the first time to write a travel note on Ctrip, and I really studied it for a long time~ because in the past two years, Taiwan/Hualien iron fans and big bowl iron fans often come and come again, the conventional routes and scenic spots have passed, or they don’t want to commercialize With the group, I want to walk slowly when I come to Hualien for the second time and the third time. Let me help plan the itinerary. Recently, I have sorted out the attractions in Hualien that can be visited without a chartered car or with a group, and completed it before. The hand-painted map and hand-painted food map, try to let everyone play some mysterious private attractions that cannot be visited with the group, and eat some delicious food that locals love.
But I still want to emphasize that if you bring the elderly and children, and the whole family to play, then it is recommended that you take the more conventional route.
The text has been converted to simplified Chinese for your convenience. If you have any questions, please leave a message to me.
Hualien is in the east, and the sun begins to set in the afternoon, so the Qingshui Cliff in the morning will be more beautiful~ Let’s start the text below!
Preamble: means of transportation + route + time required
First, let me briefly introduce the part of the transportation that can be selected: (Since the distances are listed in the following attractions, all distances are measured from the starting point of my Hualien Dawan B&B, for your reference)
1. Bikes: Free of charge.
Bicycles are a means of transportation that can be used at close range, because our homestay provides free bicycles. Bring the map of Hualien hand-painted by Big Bowl and google map, so you won’t get lost.
2. Short-term electric vehicles: NT$800/24 hours, each battery can ride 40 kilometers.
If you don't have a motorcycle driver's license, you can only rent electric cars in Taiwan. Short-term electric vehicles are suitable for medium distances and loitering in urban areas. It is very convenient to change the battery if you are afraid of running out of power halfway.
3. Long-term electric vehicle: 1100 yuan/24 hours, each battery can ride 100 kilometers.
Long-lasting electric vehicles are suitable for long-distance travel and have strong batteries.
4. Locomotive (motorcycle): 250-300 NTD/24 hours, refuel at the gas station (very cheap).
If you have a driver's license, renting a motorcycle is the best choice. It is cheaper and faster, but be careful.
One, to Qixingtan, along the way is very beautiful
One-way distance: 13 kilometers along the coastal bicycle trail (not a straight-line distance from the main road).
Means of transportation: bicycles, electric vehicles, locomotives.
This road is what I often ride when exercising, so the photos will be special, please be prepared :P
First of all, Chihsingtan is not a lake, but the sea~~ It is not in Hualien City, but if you really love the sea and like to swim slowly, we will go to Chihsingtan by bicycle~~! (but strong feet)
The starting point of this line is Pacific Park. First of all, you have to ride a bicycle from the homestay. It is more than 1 kilometer. From here to Qixingtan, you can ride along the bicycle trail all the way. You will pass many small, beautiful, mysterious and surprising points on the way. oh. The following will introduce them one by one. In addition, if you look at the sea and feel sick when you come back, you can choose to come back from the urban area, go shopping or walk around the scenic spots in the urban area. It is also good to eat (there will be an introduction to the urban attractions later. ).
Second, go to Suhua Highway to see Qingshui Cliff!
One-way distance: 26 kilometers.
Means of transportation: long-term electric vehicles, locomotives.
Qingshui Cliff is really not close, but long-term electric vehicles and locomotives can still reach it, but there will be more vehicles on the last section of this road. After all, it is an important scenic spot, so I hope everyone pays attention to safety. Qingshui Cliff is really beautiful.
On the way back, you can play in the water here~
Three, take you through the long coastline
One-way distance: 10-40 kilometers.
Means of transportation: long-term electric vehicles, locomotives.
This is the east coastline of Hualien. Except for a part of the walk in the mountains, most of the rest of the time is along the coast. Before, some friends lamented: Looking at the sea is beautiful, and what is more beautiful than looking at the sea is riding a motorcycle/electric car to see the sea. Absolutely yes, although it will be tanned and hot in summer, the wide field of view is really different from what you see in a car.
The length of this line can be determined according to time/mood/physical strength. You can only go to Ocean Park (less than 10 kilometers), or you can ride 40 kilometers to Isozaki Beach (40 kilometers). If you like watching the sea, you will feel very good.
4. Half-day tour of historical traces in Taiwan
[General's Mansion] [Songyuan Villa] [Jieshou Military Village] These three places are relatively close, and they show history from different angles. If you want to understand that history, you can spend half a day to see it.
One-way distance: 5 kilometers.
Means of transportation: bicycles, electric vehicles, locomotives.
First go to the General’s Mansion, because it’s closer to the city~
The "General's Mansion" was established in the 11th year of Showa during the Japanese occupation period. It has a history of more than 90 years. It is said that a military commander in Hualien area stayed here at that time. The nearby residents did not know his identity. They only knew that a high-ranking general lived there. Here, it is called "General's Mansion". With the changes of the times and the withdrawal of the Japanese army, the General's Mansion was also accepted as a residence for the military dependents.
There are many Japanese-style buildings in the General’s Mansion, and several of them look dilapidated, but they must have been in disrepair for a long time. It is said that the government has included them in the protection of historic sites. Along the middle aisle, there are Japanese-style houses on the left and right sides. The houses have independent front and back yards, full of greenery, and you will find Meilun Creek at the end, watching the fish jumping out of the water, watching the fish leisurely..., I can only say that the general mansion gives me the feeling of Back in the past in an instant, the super-large road outside, a drill into the alley, immediately walked into the past, and the history came back to the eyes.
【Pine Garden Annex】
Because the Pine Garden is the most complete military building in Hualien County during the Japanese occupation period. During the Japanese occupation period, it used to be a resting place for senior officers. It is said that the Japanese kamikaze commando team would receive the "Imperial Sake" rewarded by the emperor here when they went out. The mysterious color is strong, adding a lot of room for imagination. It is located on Meilun Mountain. Its geographical location and height have become the commanding heights of military affairs on the Hualien Plain. The Pine Garden Villa is also directly facing the estuary of Meilun Creek on Beibin Beach, overlooking Hualien Harbor and the Pacific Ocean. The scenery is pleasant; There are more than 30 pine trees in the forest, all of which are more than a hundred years old. They are elegant and quiet, and they have become the best scenic spot in Hualien City. Brother Wan, I walked leisurely in the park, walking on the wooden boardwalk, breathing deeply. There are chairs everywhere in the park, as if you can sit down lazily at any time, read a book quietly, and get tired... When you look up, there are beautiful scenery everywhere, which is very suitable for you who like to roam.
【Jieshou Village】
The best place to reminisce about "A Handful of Green". The movie "A Handful of Green" is a TV series with the background of military dependents' villages. It set off a trend in Taiwan a while ago. Ladies wearing cheongsams are waiting for the return of their husbands soaring into the sky. Scenes of life and death The love story is so touching and tear-jerking. In fact, Hualien also has a Jieshou Village, and it is also the most complete Air Force Village in Hualien. Take 30 to 40 minutes in the afternoon to walk into the narrow alleys of the Village. The retro Japanese-style bungalows are lined up closely, and the walls are painted with stories from 70 years ago. Being in it, it is like walking into a time tunnel, away from the hustle and bustle of the urban area, and returning to the time decades ago...
Five, go, ride to Liyu Lake!
One-way distance: 14 kilometers.
Means of transportation: bicycles, electric vehicles, locomotives.
Liyutan is the starting point of the Rift Valley Line. You can’t see the sea from the Rift Valley Line, but the mountains in summer are very cool~ there are few people and cars, and the trees on the mountain exude a faint fragrance, which is very comfortable~
Sixth, go to the mountains to see how big Hualien is
If you want to see Hualien from the mountains, you can choose from two angles: one is the "Maple Forest Trail" on the Central Mountain Range, and the other is "Farglory" on the Coastal Mountain Range. They are not too far away, but they are not suitable for bicycles, because they have to go up the mountain, and bicycles cannot reach them. The Fenglin trail can overlook Hualien and the Pacific Ocean from the central mountain range. It is very beautiful on sunny days, but I often come here to watch the night view. The Farglory Hotel on the other side is a well-known hotel in Hualien. It is located on the hillside of the coastline, so the view is also very good, whether it is day or night.
【Maple Forest Trail】
One-way distance: 6 km.
Means of transportation: electric vehicles and locomotives.
【Farglory Come】
One-way distance: 9.2 kilometers.
Means of transportation: electric vehicles and locomotives.
7. If you are bored at night, come drink tea and watch the night view
There are several places in Hualien that are suitable for watching night scenes. There are very few tourists. In addition to the maple trails above and Farglory Park, there are also some spots where you can drink tea and watch night scenes, which are more leisurely:
【Legend in the Mountain】
One-way distance: 7 kilometers
Address: No. 26, Shibi Street, Hualien City
Means of transportation: short-acting electric vehicles, taxis.
There are many outdoor stone seats in Legend of the Mountain. It is really great to enjoy the cool, chat, drink tea and watch the night view here in summer. The price will not be very expensive, tea is about 150-200 Taiwan dollars.
【Xiangyang Camellia Shop】
One-way distance: 7 kilometers
Address: No. 136-1, Shanbian, Ji'an Township, Hualien County
Means of transportation: short-acting electric vehicles, taxis.
There are also indoor and outdoor seats. The view is similar to that of Legend of the Mountain. It is recommended to choose one of the two, and the price is similar. They are all beautiful.
8. Sunrise and sunset in Hualien
Friends who come here in summer often encounter such sunny days. The sunrise and sunset on sunny days are very beautiful. But because Hualien is in the east, the sunset can only be seen on the mountain side.
【sunrise】
Location: Huaren seawall and any east coast seaside.
One-way distance: 1.5 kilometers
Means of transportation: bicycle.
This group of sunrise pictures is at 5:00 am and 5:40 am at the end of August, for your reference.
【Sunset】
Location: Taiwan Happy Farm
One-way distance: 4.5 kilometers.
Means of transportation: bicycle.
Taiwan Happy Farm is not big, it is a small seaside park with a small lake and some small animals inside, it is very suitable for parents and children to take a walk. If the weather is fine, the sunset is beautiful.
Finally, post a photo of the sunset of Taiwan Happy Farm that I saw on the Internet for your reference. There is a source on the picture, like this. . It shouldn't be an infringement, TT, because it's really beautiful.
OK, the above is basically the introduction of the scenic spots that I personally think Hualien can reach by walking slowly, which is quite long. If there is any problem, we will discuss it later. You are also welcome to come to Dawan B&B to drink tea and chat with me.
Next round preview: Hualien people also love the food :)
