My impression of Xinjiang comes from the movie "Guest on the Iceberg" when I was a child, the martial arts novel "Seven Swords Under the Tianshan Mountains" I read when I grew up, and the names of many fruits: Hami-melon, Turpan-grape, Korla-pear, Aksu—Apple. Mysterious, sweet, distant...
This year I finally had the chance to see her beauty. From July 10th to August 3rd. It took 25 days to drive more than 12,600 kilometers from Harbin, the most northeastern part of the motherland, to Xinjiang, the westernmost part of the motherland, and traveled the small ring road in northern Xinjiang to see the most beautiful natural scenery in Xinjiang...

2018.07.10 The first day Harbin - Chifeng 874 kilometers

Photo description: Group photo before departure, the same as the trip to Tibet last year, there are still five of us in the group. From right to left: husband, me, bestie husband, bestie, bestie mother.
Departure at 7:00 in the morning and arrive in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia at around 18:00 in the evening. My girlfriend’s good friend in Chifeng booked a hotel for us in advance, and warmly entertained us to a well-known local restaurant—Siqin Ama. Authentic Mongolian meal.

Photo description: Pot tea, Inner Mongolian milk tea boiled in a pot, you can add the following snacks while drinking: millet rice, milk chews, cheese, milk skin, etc.

Photo description: I don't like to eat mutton, but this mutton head is really soft and rotten, delicious, not smelly at all, I can eat two bites.
.

Photo description: Harahai is a kind of wild vegetable. It is stewed with potatoes in millet soup. It is sticky and has a special fragrance.
The following is the one-day cost and accommodation information for your reference. It is a total of 5 people, of which the aunt is an elderly person, some attractions are free of charge, and some are half-ticket.
Note: 400 for refueling, 3 for water, and 296 for accommodation.

201.08.11 The second day Chifeng - Hohhot 850 kilometers

In the morning, my friends invited us to have a unique breakfast here at an old local shop: pair of clips. Then continue on the road...

Photo description: Inner Mongolian special breakfast - pair of clips. Similar to Roujiamo, but smaller and crispy, filled with bacon. Very fragrant, but a bit greasy to eat.

Photo Description: Juyongguan Great Wall in misty rain

On the way, I encountered a traffic jam on the Capital Ring Road, which lasted more than two hours. At 8:45 in the evening, we arrived at the second stop: Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia.

Note: refueling 870, meals 187, accommodation 273

2018.07.12 The third day Hohhot - Ejina Banner 1064 kilometers

Entered the world's longest expressway through the desert - G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway. Galloping all the way in the vast desert, distant mountains, deserts, Gobi, oases, Populus euphratica...

Note: 1190 for refueling, 237 for meals, 43 for fruits, water, etc., 286 for accommodation

2018.07.13 Day 4 Ejina Banner - Hami 685km

Continue to use the G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway, and finally enter Xinjiang after crossing the vast Gobi, the first city - Hami. From entering the new border, there are continuous security checks, getting out of the car, swiping the ID card, and checking the interior of the car.

Photo description: The first honeydew melon
Since we arrived early, we took a brief walk around Grand Cross Street, visited a department store, swiped the car, and found a kebab shop to eat some lamb kebabs.

Photo description: In shopping malls, there are slogans everywhere on the side of the road: All ethnic groups should hug each other tightly like pomegranate seeds.

Photo description: The first meal of Xinjiang mutton skewers. From this day on, basically as long as you go to the restaurant to eat, the two men will ask for 10 skewers of mutton skewers to try. If it is delicious, I have not tasted the mutton skewers here. , but the grilled mushrooms are especially delicious. I have never encountered this kind of grilled mushrooms since.

Photo description: When we were eating kebabs, the alarm sounded loudly, we were so scared that we didn't know what was going on! It was found that people from all shops were armed and assembled, and the boss told us not to be nervous, just doing explosion-proof training.

After going back to the hotel to rest for a while, we researched a restaurant on the Internet that was well-reviewed by Xinjiang Cuisine.com. I ordered all the Xinjiang delicacies in my mind one by one

Photo description: The decoration of the hotel has Xinjiang characteristics.

Photo description: The bills are all for Uighur~

Description of the photo: In the parking lots in front of many hotels, including the hotel we live in, there are many tightly wrapped cars like this, with no visible appearance and no license plate. At first we were curious, but later we learned that these were not formally produced. The prototype cars that are driven out for testing have to go to the coldest and hottest places, and Hami in Xinjiang can be said to be the driest and hottest place in China, so basically all cars that need to be tested must be come here. It's a long time to know~

Note: 750 for refueling, 343 for meals, 37 for fruits, water, etc., 62 for tolls, 27 for car washing and parking, and 225 for accommodation

When I was looking at the strategy on the Internet, I was attracted by a photo of the strong pink lake water in the Yiwu County Symphony Lake. Although it was a bit of a detour, my best friend and I decided to take a look.
On the way from Hami to Yiwu, you have to pass through Tianshankou Menzi Daxiakou. After going up the mountain, the temperature suddenly drops to 13 degrees Celsius. The gorge is surrounded by mountains on three sides. , Once out of the gorge, it is an open grassland with stretches of green fields.

Description of the photo: The white dots are flocks of lambs

Photo description: Once out of the gorge, it suddenly opens up. The yellow color in the middle is Mingsha Mountain, surrounded by continuous grasslands.

Description of the photo: Century-old pines and cypresses

Go down the mountain from the gorge and continue driving along the provincial road for more than ten kilometers to reach the Symphony Lake. Hami Symphony Lake is one of the few lakes in the world that can change color. It is said that it will show different colors as the weather changes. When it is sunny, the lake is as blue as the sea. At sunset, the sunset is reflected, and the green is red. , purple when it rains, and romantic pink sometimes. When we went, the sky was a little cloudy, and it looked a little purple from a distance. When we got closer, the water was very turbid. If you look closely, the bottom of the lake is yellowish-white. The scenery is average, but it is connected to the surrounding grasslands and distant mountains. , it is very beautiful~
When we went, the scenic spot was under construction, and it was still free. It is estimated that tickets will be collected after the repairs are completed!

Description of the photo: We ate another cantaloupe we bought yesterday while resting by the lake

From Huancai Lake to Turpan, you have to go back and cross the Koumenzi Gorge. At the foot of Xiakou Mountain is Koumenzi Village, which is also a dry goods market. The local Kazakhs mainly sell some mountain goods, such as dried mushrooms, medicinal materials, honey, and dairy products. I bought some fresh mushrooms and used them to cook noodles the next morning. It was very delicious~
The other side of the market is full of restaurants, basically operating the same variety: mutton soup or beef soup, which can be seen as a local specialty. We found a popular one. I don't eat mutton, I ordered a bowl of beef soup + meat + mushrooms, 40 a bowl, with two flower rolls. The taste is very good~

Photo description: We ate at his house

Photo description: cold Artemisia pepper, wild vegetables picked on the mountain.

Photo description: Beef soup with beef and dried wild mushrooms is the best beef soup I have ever tasted.

Eat and drink enough to continue on the road, from Koumenzi Village to Turpan, the second city in Xinjiang, and arrived at Huoyan Mountain at 19:00 in the evening. The scenic spot is very small, but how can we who grew up watching "Journey to the West" not go in and check in? In addition, it is worthwhile to experience the high temperature here. Take a photo with Huoyanshan, tell yourself, tell Dasheng, Bajie, I have been here! Good.

Description of the photo: The large thermometer in the shape of a golden cudgel shows that the surface temperature here is more than 60 degrees.

Photo description: The Huoyan Mountain got its name because the mountain range looks like a group of flaming flames, and the local temperature is like a furnace. A short stay here is a "baked" experience.

Interesting facts on the way: After coming out of Huoyanshan and passing the "Erbao" checkpoint, the policeman took a bottle of "cooling oil" and handed it to the driver, asking him to wipe it off, maybe because he was afraid that the driver would be so hot and dizzy, let him wake up! After passing the checkpoint and arriving at the gas station, the driver was very anxious and asked me to fill up for him. The security check at this gas station is the strictest. First, all passengers have to get out of the car and wait at the exit; second, they have to swipe the driver's ID card at the entrance and check the situation inside the car. Even the trunk and hood have to be opened for inspection before opening the thick iron Third, when refueling, the refueling staff must swipe the ID card again to open the fuel tank. Who else doubts the safety of Xinjiang? There is really no safer place than here~

Note: refueling 520, meals 404, fruit, water, etc. 58, attractions tickets 180, accommodation 361

2018.07.15 Day 6 Turpan - Urumqi 196km

It is less than 200 kilometers from Turpan to Urumqi, so we will visit Turpan in the morning and drive to Urumqi in the afternoon. The first stop is of course to Grape Valley.
Grape Valley is one of the must-see scenic spots in Turpan. When we came, the grapes were still more than ten days away from being fully ripe, but we already tasted very sweet. Grape Valley is located at the western end of the Flaming Mountains. It is a valley formed by the Tianshan Mountains. It is named after the orchard farmers who lived in it planted grapes in the valley. The scenic area is very large, in fact, it is a big village. You can enter by car, we invited a local guide - Ms. Gu Li, she led us to visit point by point, while talking. She told us that the Uyghurs do not have surnames. Each person's name is divided into two parts, with his own name in front and his father's name in the back. Compared with the Huoyan Mountain, the temperature here is particularly pleasant. There is a swiftly flowing small river running through the entire Grape Valley. It is the melted snow water flowing down from the Tianshan Mountains. It is very cold and is used to irrigate the grapes. But it needs to be in the pool for a few days to warm up before irrigation.

Photo description: A 103-year-old Uyghur grandpa and a beautiful Uyghur little girl. She will exchange a POSS for each photo

Photo Description: Husband and wife tree

On the way from Grape Valley to Karez, we bought freshly baked naan and found a shop that sells baked buns. We happened to see the whole process of making baked buns.

Photo description: Baked buns, because they are freshly baked, everyone says they are very delicious. My husband ate 5 of them in one sitting. I tasted the crust as I didn't like the taste of lamb.

One of Turpan’s must-sees—Karez, it was mentioned in elementary school textbooks, and today I witnessed this great water conservancy irrigation system with my own eyes. Karez is a special water conservancy irrigation system in the desert area. The snow water on the Tianshan Mountains is channeled into the farmland irrigation according to the situation. Turpan is full of wells, open channels, and underground channels, known as the "Underground Great Wall".

Photo Description: Karez

After visiting Karez, continue on the road to Urumqi, the capital of Xinjiang. The time difference between Xinjiang and the mainland is about two hours, and because it is summer, it is not dark at half past ten in the evening, so after arriving in Xinjiang, one day can be used as one and a half days. It was still very bright when we arrived in Urumqi. We didn't rush to the hotel but went to the famous "International Grand Bazaar" first. "Grand Bazaar" means big market in Chinese. It is a must-see place when traveling to Urumqi. The first time you visit the market, you still have to buy tickets! 10 yuan per person. The market is full of dried fruits, jewelry, silk scarves, musical instruments, handicrafts, special snacks, singing and dancing performances...
We walked around and were not in a hurry to buy anything, because it feels that this place is mainly for tourists and the price is not cheap.

Note: 293 meals, 59.4 fruits, water, etc., 657.5 attractions tickets, 38 tolls, 712.82 accommodation

The seventh day Urumqi - Tianshan Tianchi (round trip) 142 kilometers

Tianshan Tianchi, known as "Yaochi" in ancient times, is the bathing pool of the Queen Mother in myths and legends. Tianchi is a half-moon-shaped lake located on the north side of Bogda Peak in Tianshan Mountain, with an altitude of more than 1900 meters. It is a holy place for punching cards in Xinjiang.
The lake crystal is as clear as jade, reflecting Bogda Peak, surrounded by mountains, and the mountains are covered with tall and straight, green spruces and tasongs. The mountains are everywhere, and the scenery is like a fairyland. That kind of beauty cannot be expressed in words or photos.
But Tianchi tickets are still quite expensive, 125 tickets, 100 shuttle bus, 225 per person. When we went, we were catching up with some places that were under construction and could not go. We could only go to one scenic spot in Tianchi, but the cost did not decrease. . Later, I found out that the scenic spots in Xinjiang are basically like this. The distance between the gate and the scenic spot is tens of kilometers is commonplace, so I can’t imagine how big Xinjiang is if I haven’t been there. Later, we chose to purchase the "Kattoon Tourist Card" 268/person. It includes the tickets for most of the scenic spots in Xinjiang, but does not include the interval fare. It is recommended that friends who come to Xinjiang can apply for it, which is more cost-effective.

Photo description: Xinjiang's most famous scenery with special food - naan, mutton skewers.

Photo description: The snow-capped mountains in the distance of Tianchi Lake are definitely the finishing touch.
After returning to Urumqi from Tianshan Tianchi, we went to the Donghuan Dried Fruit Wholesale Market, which is opposite the International Grand Bazaar, and bought some Xinjiang specialties such as raisins, black wolfberry, Ruoqiang red dates, Tianshan snow chrysanthemum, etc., and directly packaged and mailed them back to Harbin. The price is comparable to that of the Grand Bazaar. It's much cheaper, and it's even cheaper than the local area in Harbin.
In the evening, the relatives of my best friend and husband in Urumqi invited us to have a big meal at a high-end hotel "Jianguo Hotel". I chose a few dishes that I haven't eaten before.

Note: 465 for refueling, 106 for meals, 37 for fruits, water, etc., 1340 for Katong, and 500 for shuttle bus.

The eighth day Urumqi - Karamay - Urho 680 km

Photo description: On the way, we met a shack selling melons. We stayed at the melon stand to eat melons. It was called sweet!

Photo description: When I arrived in Karamay, it was just in time for noon, and I found a very famous pilaf—I want pilaf every day. His family's pilaf is made of vegetable oil, and the mutton is served later. I ordered a vegetarian pilaf, which is very sweet and delicious, especially the yellow carrots inside.

Photo description: On the way to Devil City, passing by many sunflower fields, a sea of flowers, very beautiful~

There are several ghost cities in Xinjiang, but online information shows that the so-called "World Devil City" located in Wuerhe District, Karamay City is the largest, and it is included in the "Kakato" ticket, so of course it is the first choice! All the ghost cities refer to the Yadan landform. "Yadan" means "a steep hill" in Uighur. It is a type of wind erosion landform formed in arid and windy environment. Urho Devil City is a typical Yardang landform. It was a huge lake in the Cretaceous period, and various dinosaurs lived around it. Later, after two major crustal changes, the lake became a vast sea of land sandwiched with sandstone and mudstone, and was eroded by the environment of drought and wind. Thus formed the current Yardang landform. So you can also see many dinosaur fossils in Devil City.
The Devil City is very large, and you need to take a sightseeing bus in the scenic spot. The commentary in the car is particularly characteristic, a bit like a speech during the "Cultural Revolution", impassioned. There are a few spots where you can get off and take pictures. Here you will marvel at the uncanny workmanship of nature, and the vast and mysterious landforms are shocking to people living in the city!

Photo Description: Wuerhe District, Karamay City - World Devil City

Coming out of Devil City, because we couldn’t drive in, we found a road along the edge of the city and drove inside. Although the landform features were not typical in the scenic area, the feeling of vastness was stronger. The driver drove the car up the high slope , and then shoot! shoot! shoot!

Back in the urban area at night, after inquiring, I found a "Master Xiong BBQ" near the Jade City where we stayed, and finally ate "Red Willow Skewers" and "Nang Pit Barbecue". , we believe that the most delicious barbecue, don't miss it when you pass by, pass by~

Note: 359 meals, 54 fruits, water, etc., 260 attractions fare, 366 accommodation

Day 9 Wuerhe - Burqin (234 km) - Hemu (168 km)

Photo description: Scenery on the way
Hemu Village is a village under Burqin County, where Tuva people, a branch of Mongolian nationality, live and live together. It is the farthest and largest village among the only remaining 3 Tuva villages (Hemu Village, Kanas Village, Baihaba Village). It is known as "the first village in China".
Hemu Village is located in a river valley separated by heavy mountains. When we arrived, it was very cold and it was raining lightly. We couldn't go out, so we had to have some dinner in a small wooden house with local characteristics. After a while, a rainbow appeared after the rain. We who live in the city sometimes see rainbows, but because of the obstruction of high-rise buildings, we have never seen a complete rainbow. Today, we saw a complete rainbow for the first time bridge. really lucky~

Photo Description: Rainbow Bridge

After the rain, we walked out of the log cabin and wandered around... Although the tangle of tourists spoiled the tranquility of the place, as long as you calm down and appreciate it, you will find that Hemu Village is surrounded by green mountains and birch forests, the sound of small rivers, and the smoke from the wooden houses. , The eagle hovering in the sky... The whole person is surrounded by nature, like a painting, full of poetry. It seems that everything in the world can be left behind, only oneself is left.

Day 10 Hemu - Kanas (64km) - Burqin (136km)

In the early morning, the village was still shrouded in yesterday's mist, quiet and peaceful, as if the whole village was still asleep.

Photo description: The early risers in the fence have already raised a faint smoke ~ a beautiful day is about to begin.

Photo description: Wild flowers bloom all over the hillside on the way out of the mountain.

Photo description: The shuttle bus drove to a high place, surrounded by clouds and mist, like a fairyland~

Photo description: The gate of the scenic spot in Hemu Village is more than 20 kilometers away from the village.

On the way from Hemu Village to Kanas, the scenery along the way is also very beautiful~green hills, pines and cypresses, grasslands, clouds...

Arrive at Kanas Scenic Area at about noon, tickets are 185/person, interval tickets are 100/person, cruise tickets are 120/person, and the fare to Guanyutai is 60/person. The total cost for one person is 465. If you add accommodation It's really a bit too expensive to eat thousands of people! Because we have already lived in Hemu yesterday and experienced the feeling of the countryside, we unanimously decided not to stay here and hurry up to play. Fortunately, it is dark here, so we can play until a little later. In Xinjiang, I feel like I live an extra two hours a day.
Kanas Scenic Spot is located in the middle of the Altai Mountains in Xinjiang, bordering Kazakhstan, Russia and Mongolia. A national 5A-level scenic spot, there are beautiful mountains, rivers, forests, lakes, and grasslands, known as "Xanadu". Let's take a cruise on Kanas Lake first.

Photo description: The scenery seen on the shuttle bus

Photo description: The scenery on the way to the cruise ship wharf. The lush pine forest on the hillside is lush and lush, and it is integrated with the grassland. From time to time, fallen trees can be seen, and they return to the earth after decaying. The grass is full of flowers, and there are boardwalks by the lake for hiking. The pier for sightseeing boats.

Photo description: Cruise ship pier, the lake is milky white with blue and green.

Photo Description: Cruise on Kanas Lake.
Kanas Lake is an alpine lake located in the dense forests of the deep mountains of Altai. It is the deepest alpine lake known in my country. It is the core essence of the national nature reserve, and it has added a lot of mystery because of the local legend that there is a giant "water monster" in the lake. Kanas Lake is 1375 meters above sea level, and the lake is shaped like a crescent moon. The water source mainly comes from the meltwater of glaciers in mountains such as Kuitun Peak and Friendship Peak. The lake water shows different colors in different seasons. It is blue-gray in May, green or blue in June, and turns from green to milky white with bluish green in July, which is the color we see now. It is dark green in August and emerald in September and October. Around the lake is a verdant coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest, which is connected with the vast grassland. Personally, I suggest not to use a cruise ship, because you are not allowed to go to the upper deck during the cruise, and you can only take ten minutes to take pictures when the boat is parked. photo. And the windows in the cabin are very high, it is very difficult to see the scenery outside, the scenery on both sides of the river can be seen by the lake!
After the cruise, we took a car to board the "Guanyutai" and the flowers were romantic along the way.

The Guanyu Terrace is located on the west side of Kanas Lake. There are 1068 steps to the top of the "Guanyu Terrace". Because the mountain is very cool, I climbed very cool. I sweated a little at first, but felt very relaxed after a while. Leading the way and walking in the front, every time you stop, you will see different scenery. The flowers on the hillside are especially beautiful. On one side, you can see part of the lake, and on the other side, you can see the beautiful mountains with mountains and clouds.

"Guanyutai" is 2030 meters above sea level, built on the top of Harakite (meaning camel's peak in Mongolian). It is named for being in the best position to observe the lake monster. Designed by a famous architect, Yu Qiuyu inscribed a plaque. Of course, whether the lake monster is true or not, it is generally invisible to those who are not predestined.
Climb to the "Fish Viewing Platform" to see the overall beauty of Kanas Lake, three-quarters of the lake can be seen in the panoramic view. The surface of the lake is as smooth and calm as satin, like a piece of emerald inlaid between the valleys, and meanders to the downstream valley, the waves are shining, like the colors of fairy tales. Looking north, you can clearly see the highest peak of the Altai Mountains - Friendship Peak (4374 meters) from the south to the north.

Description of the photo: Guanyu Terrace

Walking down from Guanyutai is a mountain road full of flowers. We walked, enjoyed flowers, and took pictures without feeling tired at all!

Photo description: There are so many colors and varieties of flowers on the hillside, I basically don't know them, but I just think they are beautiful and I don't want to leave.

The Kanas River is the main tributary of the Burqin River. The upper source of the river is Kanas Lake. The lake water pours down and winds in the valley, forming beautiful bays and beaches such as Shenxian Bay, Moon Bay and Wolong Bay. After we came down from the Guanyutai, we took the shuttle bus to Shenxian Bay. The river here divides the forest and grassland into pieces that seem to be connected to small islands, forming a large swamp and meadow. It is said that we can see it here in the morning or after the rain. The fog is the most beautiful, always surrounded by veil-like clouds and mist, like a dream, like a fairyland, and it is said that it is the place where immortals live, so it is called "Shenxianwan".

Photo description: The beauty of Shenxian Bay can only be enjoyed on the plank road

There is a plank road from Shenxian Bay to Moon Bay that can be walked on foot, but we were too short on time and the sun was too hot. Instead, we continued to drive directly to Wolong Bay. Wolong Bay is formed by the Kanas River on this long-term side. It is composed of a series of meandering river bays formed by erosion. There are two small sand islands in the river bend, the scenery is unique~

From this, we walked around all the places we wanted to go, completed the task as expected, and then drove back to Burqin City. It was already dark when we arrived, and it should be around eleven o'clock.

Photo description: The beautiful scenery on the way back to Burqin

Interesting facts on the way: Kanas scenic spot covers an area of 10,030 square kilometers, which is very large. There are more than 1,000 shuttle buses in the scenic spot, but each car has a pattern, or fruit or small animals. The in-car broadcast will remind everyone to remember this sign. We didn’t pay attention to it at the time. I don’t know why we remembered it. When we got out of the car to live in the scenic spot, my best friend’s husband suddenly found that his mobile phone was dropped in the car. He must have driven away when he went back to find the car. I asked other staff members, who asked us what pattern was on the car, but we couldn’t answer. The staff member said that the pattern is for everyone to remember, so it is easy to find when you are in case of lost items. Later, we kept calling our mobile phones, and finally someone answered, saying that the driver picked it up and handed it over to the "Shenxianwan Convenience Police Station." We can take the shuttle bus to pick it up at any time. After the small crisis is resolved, everyone is in a happy mood!

Note: 200 for meals, 2152.5 for tickets to scenic spots, section fares and cruises, 5 for parking, 500 for accommodation

Day 11 Burqin - Tuoli Township, Jinghe County 669 kilometers

There are no scenic spots on the road for a day's trip, and the Gobi is all the way. It is only when we approach Jinghe County that the green appears. The fields are planted with endless goji berries and grapes. A new variety of cantaloupe was discovered on the roadside, so we just bought one and tried it. Originally we were going to Jinghe County, but we had an oolong when we booked a hotel online, and we were guided to Tuoli Township below the county. The goji berries that are sun-dried all over the ground are overwhelmingly red.

Photo description: Along the Gobi road, camels can be seen from time to time on both sides of the road

Note: 970 for gas, 276 for meals, 32 for fruits, water, etc., 91 for tolls, 260 for accommodation. Pioneer Hotel in Jinghe Tuoli Township is the worst hotel in Xinjiang, not recommended

Day 12: Toli Township, Jinghe County - Sailimu Lake (109km) - Huocheng (109km) - Horgos (40km) - Yining (93km)

Depart in the morning, the first stop - Sailimu Lake. It is the mountain lake with the highest altitude, the largest area and beautiful scenery in Xinjiang, and it is also the place where the warm and humid Atlantic air flow lasts, so there is a saying of "the last tear of the Atlantic Ocean". In the distance is the continuous Tianshan Mountains, the top of the mountain is covered with snow, and the bottom of the mountain is an endless deep blue lake, the beauty is suffocating~

Photo description: Walking to the lake, the lake water is crystal clear and refreshingly cold.

Tickets for Sailimu Lake are included in the card card, you can drive in, the car is free, (the most conscientious scenic spot in Xinjiang) there are basically no cars on the roads in the scenic area, we drive the car far away, avoiding tourists and taking pictures as much as possible, like heaven and earth only us~

Photo description: My best friend and I

Photo description: Although it is by the lake, it seems that the land is still very dry, and the vegetation is growing tenaciously.

On the road from Sailimu Lake, you can still see the lake for a long time. The lake is really big. Leaving Sailimu Lake and going to Huocheng on National Highway 045, passing by "the most beautiful bridge in Xinjiang" - Guozigou Bridge, which is the first cable-stayed bridge with double towers and double locks in China. The bridge has a total length of 700 meters and a net height of 200 meters from the bridge deck to the bottom of the valley. A bridge spans the mountains, surrounded by green hills. The bridge is magnificent and dangerous. People in the car seem to be walking between the canyons and above the peaks. In just ten minutes, it is like a fairyland in fairy tales. The car drove out and turned around the mountain. Looking back at the bridge, it can be said to be magnificent.

When I arrived in Huocheng, I ate the famous local nutritious high-pressure noodles. Because it was mutton soup, I ordered Dingding fried noodles. In fact, the noodles were cut into cubes and fried. The noodles in Xinjiang are particularly delicious, with gluten and strong flavor. , and there are many special names. If you ask carefully, they are actually a kind of noodles. We basically eat noodles every day. My favorite is belt noodles.

Description of the photo: Ding Ding fried noodles

After lunch, we came to "Han Princess Lavender Manor". It is estimated that every woman will love lavender. In addition to its fragrance, she is even more fascinated by the romantic purple. They all dream of going to "Provence" to take a beautiful photo in a lavender field! In fact, Yili in Xinjiang is also one of the eight major lavender producing areas in the world, and it is China's "Provence".
This is an exclusive place for women. Men are not interested, so they wait for us in the car, and we take pictures inside. In fact, we came a little later, and the patches of lavender and Damascus roses have been harvested, leaving only a small piece for tourists to take pictures. The world of aromatherapy here is a double feast for vision and smell.

Lavender is a perennial subshrub of Lamiaceae Lamiaceae, and also an ornamental natural aromatic oil plant. It is the main raw material for the manufacture of expensive and high-end perfumes, balsams and other daily cosmetics. There are many lavender product stores on the side of the road in Huocheng. The most famous brand should be "Ipa Erhan". My best friend and I also bought some products: lavender hydrosol, essential oil, soap, etc.

Afterwards we went to the Khorgos Port, which is a national first-class land highway port with the longest history, the largest comprehensive transportation volume, the best natural environment and the most complete functions in western China. It is an important port for trade between Xinjiang and Central Asian countries, and an important window for Xinjiang to open to the outside world. It faces Kazakhstan across the Khorgos River.
You can go to the duty-free shop in the port to go through the formalities with your ID card or passport. The inside is so big that you need to take a bus. There are duty-free products from various countries, as well as domestic products exported to foreign countries. The prices of some cigarettes and alcohol are really cabbage prices compared to the domestic market prices! (Purchasing restrictions: each person is only allowed to bring two cigarettes or two bottles of wine, and there are no restrictions on other commodities) There are also many shops outside the port, but it is difficult to judge whether the goods are true or false, so we all buy there.

After shopping, we continued on the road to Yining, our final destination today. It is worth mentioning that we originally booked a homestay on the "Aibiying" website, but we couldn't get in touch with the landlord along the way, and we still couldn't get in touch after we arrived. , I had to contact the customer service, but the customer service could not be contacted and we refunded the money. We had to find another "Minghao Boutique Hotel". Although the price is a bit expensive, it is the best and most comfortable hotel in Xinjiang. hotel. Unexpectedly, "Aibi Camp" made up the price difference for us after we uploaded the hotel information, so we only spent more than 160 yuan to live in the best hotel. What a conscience website!

Day 13 Yining - Turks Bagua City (142km) - Kalajun Grand Canyon (15km) - Gongliu (96km)

On the way from Yining to Tekes Bagua City, there are many apricot forests with many fruits, which are very attractive. The apricots bought on the roadside are the sweetest apricots I have ever tasted in my life. The dried apricots made of this apricot are called: dried apricots on the tree (commonly known as dried apricots hanged), the apricots are not picked after they are mature, but are picked after late autumn when the apricots are dry and do not fall on the tree. It is dried apricots on the tree, with unique fragrance, big and crispy kernels, and the dried meat is sweet but not greasy and has a prominent fruity aroma. I regret that I only bought a small bag and ate it up on the way.

Photo description: Turks Bagua City (picture stolen from the Internet)
Arrived at Bagua City at noon. When I first entered Bagua City, I felt that it was not as mysterious as I imagined. The buildings are all new. A road drives to the center and you will reach the center point soon. The whole city is radially circular. You can’t see it in the city. Knowing its unique appearance, the panorama can only be seen in aerial photography, so I had to steal an aerial photo on the Internet! After lunch in Bagua City, we set off to Kalajun Scenic Area.
Kalajun Scenic Area is divided into two parts, one part is the grassland in the air, and the other part is the Kuokesu Grand Canyon. Because we will go to the grassland to play tomorrow, and time does not allow it, we only played the Grand Canyon part (tickets are sold separately of). The scenic spot is very large. You have to take a car and then a boat, and you have to take a car every time you arrive.
"Kara Jun" means the wilderness on the ridge, the comb-like mountains covered with gullies, and the ups and downs of the mountains, forming a unique landform, which is very different from the canyons we have seen before. The lake water in the canyon is also unique. The water in Kara Jun Lake is a standard lake green, which is particularly beautiful, while the water in the canyon is another turbid lime gray. The entire canyon gives people a shocking vastness.

Photo description: Kala Jun Lake, the water surface is calm, it is a standard lake green. The cascading mountains and lake shores are reflected in it.

Description of the photo: The Crocodile Bay Valley is about 360 meters deep, with steep cliffs and steep terrain. The river flows through the bottom of the valley, and the river water is lime-gray. The main reason is that the river water comes from the snow peaks on the southern slope of the Tianshan Mountains. Under the influence of the turbulent flow between the valleys and the backwater of Kala Jun Lake after reaching Crocodile Bay, the flow velocity decreases and the calcium carbonate rock powder precipitates.

After the end, drive to Gongliu and stay in Gongliu.
Note: Refueling 425, meals 301, fruit, water, etc. 73, attractions tickets, section tickets, etc. 830, tolls 16, parking 5, accommodation 298.88 (homestay)
Day 14 Gongliu - Qiaxi Grassland (78 km) - Xinyuan (126 km)

The original plan was to go to the famous "Nalati Grassland" today, but the owner of the homestay we stayed in said that Nalati has been particularly commercialized these years, so it would be better to go to the more primitive Qiaxi Grassland. We listened to the advice and decided to Went to Qiaxi Grassland. (Kakatoon tickets) The south of the Great Wall is in Ili, and the most beautiful place in Ili is Qiaxi, which is also divided into two parts, one part is Qiaxi Grassland and the other part is Tarim Forest. The recommendation from the owner is very good. The place has not been over-developed, and it is relatively primitive. The car can drive in very deep, and the road is winding mountain road with beautiful scenery. After entering Kuogu, you have to take a short shuttle bus before you can get off and play.
We chose horse riding, and the price of horse riding here is also very reasonable, 60/hour, even the most timid girlfriends and aunts who are nearly 70 years old also participated, riding a horse slowly on a relatively flat dirt road, surrounded by mountains Surrounded by gurgling streams and towering old trees, it is very pleasant. Arriving at the end is where Yiwang Qingquan is located. Scoop a bowl of clear spring water, which is cold and sweet.

Description of the photo: There are a few lovely children accompanying us to ride horses
After this back and forth, I have initially mastered the skills of riding a horse, and I feel that I can control it by walking slowly. The big boy who accompanied me on the horse said that he could take us to his grandfather’s house on the mountain over there. My best friend’s husband and I did not ride. It was enough, so I paid another 120 yuan (60 yuan per person) and went up the mountain with him.
The three of us, each with a horse, waded across the creek and entered the dense forest. In the forest, there are many pine trees that cannot be hugged by two people. Looking at the top of the tree, it is about a few stories high. Under our feet, there are thick pine needles returning to nature. , Exuding a pleasant pine scent, horses walked on it and stepped on deep footprints. Go up the steep hillside through the forest, ride down the mountain step by step, the towering old trees are all under your feet, and when you reach the top of the mountain, it suddenly opens up, a vast grassland, backed by snow-capped mountains, and a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery. After riding around on the prairie, the little boy invited us to drink milk tea at his cousin's house. They are Kazakh herdsmen, and they graze in their pasture from June to September. After entering their yurt and sitting down, the host spread a clean tablecloth on the floor, cut a piece of naan bread for us, and brought us a bowl of fresh cream for dipping. Later, a teapot with a unique ethnic style was brought to us to make milk tea for us. Their milk tea is lighter than that drunk in Mongolia. The host told us that it is hot in summer, so there is no cream in the tea, so it is light. When drinking tea, their family members sat around together, and the hostess offered bowls to everyone with both hands. Although their Chinese was not very good, they were warm and kind...

Description of the photo: The little man's cousin is holding her baby. When we got off the horse, she put the baby on the quilt to play with. It is really a nation that grew up on horseback!

Photo description: A cute baby sheep with curly hair, does it look like a teddy dog?

Photo description: Kazakh herdsmen drink a bowl of milk tea in the pasture.

Photo description: The Kazakh grandfather who came across greeted us very warmly.

Photo description: The cold-dried milk bumps are very sour, we are not blessed to enjoy them!
Today, the experience of riding a horse in the forest, walking on the steep mountain road, running in the vast grassland, and drinking a bowl of milk tea at the herdsman's house can only be seen in movies for us who have lived in the city for many years. I have been here, and the personal experience today is really unforgettable. This is the charm of travel-let you experience a different life.
There was no mobile phone signal on the mountain, so we played willfully for two more hours. The partners who didn't go up the mountain waited anxiously at the bottom of the mountain. Although the experience is beautiful, but after going down the mountain, I feel deeply ashamed of my friends! At the same time, due to time problems, we did not have time to go to the Tarim Forest Scenic Area, which is in a scenic spot, so we had to continue on the road according to the scheduled itinerary, and arrived in Xinyuan County for accommodation.

Note: 400 for refueling, 190 for meals, 11.5 for fruits, water, etc., 670 for fare between scenic spots, horseback riding, and 336 for accommodation

Day 15 Xinyuan - Kuqa 504 kilometers

We started from Nalati in Xinyuan and entered the "Duku Highway". "Duku Highway" is known as: the top three most beautiful landscape roads in China, and the ten most dangerous roads in China. The Duku Highway is a road connecting northern and southern Xinjiang. , It stretches from the mountains, through the deep mountains and canyons, and the scenery and landforms are changing all the way. The landforms along the way include: Gobi wasteland, Yardang landform, alpine lakes, alpine meadows, plateau wetlands, forest valleys, snow-capped grasslands... one-third are cliffs, one-fifth are in alpine permafrost, the highest The altitude is 3700 meters.
When you get up in the morning, the air is refreshing. On the Nalati Grassland section you passed first, you will encounter a sea of "willow verbena" flowers. The beautiful purple color can be compared with the sea of lavender flowers.

Description of the photo: Groups of black-faced little sheep

There are vast green hills along the way. The mighty pine forest on the hillside is in harmony with the gentle grassland. A small river flows through the mountain along the side of the road. Groups of cattle and sheep can often be seen on the grassland...
Going forward, the hinterland of the Tianshan Mountains at an altitude of more than 2,000 meters in the middle of the Duku Highway. Arrive at the second largest grassland in China - Bayinbulak Grassland, where there are green grass, lakes, alpine meadows and alpine wetlands. There are many water birds in the lake here, and there are swans flying from Russia in the Swan Lake, but we did not enter the scenic spot because we were on our way.

Photo Description: Alpine Wetland

Photo Description: Alpine Grassland

Description of the photo: The car climbed up the mountain along the road, and when it reached the high point, the mobile phone showed that the altitude was more than 3,000 meters.

After crossing the Tianshan Mountains to the south, the landform has also undergone earth-shaking changes. Along the way, the green hills have turned into bare yellow, black, and finally red mountains of various shapes. They arrived at a place about 70 kilometers away from Kuqa—— Kuqa Tianshan Mysterious Grand Canyon.
The canyon is composed of reddish-brown giant mountain groups, which have been eroded by wind and rain and mountain torrents for hundreds of millions of years.
The red mountain is more vivid and dazzling when there is light, and it is said to be comparable to the "Antelope Valley" in the United States. It is a wonder created by nature.

Arrive in Kuqa at night. Accommodation: Kuqa

Note: 213 meals, 12 fruits, water, etc., 20 tolls, 262 accommodation
The sixteenth day Kuqa - Korla 445 kilometers
From Kuche to Korla, there is no scenic spot all the way, and when we arrive in Korla City, the car has driven more than 8,000 kilometers, so we changed the oil we prepared in advance here. The other name of Korla City is - Pear City. Korla fragrant pears are famous all over the country, but the pears were not yet ripe when we arrived, so it is a pity that we did not eat them.

Note: 460 for refueling, 281 for meals, 97.76 for fruits, water, etc., 55 for tolls, 50 for manual oil changes, and 528 for accommodation

The seventeenth day Korla - Turpan 389 kilometers
Starting from Korla and entering Turpan again, the scenery along the way is the big black mountain like the picture below, and the winding mountain road all the way. When the car drives to the mountain, the temperature becomes very low, only less than 20 degrees. Surrounded by the mountains all the way, A basin was seen far ahead, and after entering, the temperature suddenly rose again, reaching 40 degrees. After a long period of high temperature and sunlight, the grapes in Turpan have matured. There are many grape sellers next to the vineyards on the roadside. We bought a few bunches of mare's milk and ate it. It is not an exaggeration to say: it is too sweet, and it is panicky. (5 yuan - kg)

Description of the photo: Mauzi grapes are fully ripe, and the skin is very thin. Because they do not use pesticides, they can be eaten directly without washing. The hoarfrost on the peel is the most nutritious.

When we first entered Turpan and hadn’t entered the urban area yet, we saw a cart of cantaloupes at the gate of a farmer’s house in a village by the side of the road, so we stopped and ran to the Uyghur’s home to buy more cantaloupes to take back to Harbin. The host was taking a nap and woke us up. Although he didn't know much Chinese, he received us very warmly. Without saying a word, he cut a melon for us to taste. It was very sweet! So I bought seven or eight, and took out another one for him to cut up for us to eat, but he held us down and put the melon in the bag, took another one from the car and cut it up, saying that the melons we eat at home are not money. Really touched by their simplicity.

When we arrived at the hotel in the evening, we inquired about a night market for locals, and went to eat the last lamb skewers in Xinjiang. The meat of Yangwazi was very tender! The beef ramen is even more authentic and delicious!

Note: 430 for refueling, 251 for meals, 58 for fruits, water, etc., 40 for tolls, 20 for fines, 485 for accommodation

The eighteenth day Turpan - Dunhuang 842 kilometers

On the way from Turpan to Dunhuang is the vast Gobi. After arriving at night, I first went to the famous "Shunzhang Donkey Meat Yellow Noodles". I was in a hurry to eat and forgot to take pictures.

Photo description: It is more interesting when passing through the checkpoint in Hami. The driver is required to get out of the car and wash his face. It may be because the surface temperature is too high, let the driver wake up!

In 2013, I came to Dunhuang and saw the Mogao Grottoes. Since none of my fellow travelers had been there, I happened to drop in to see it. There are more than 400 caves in Mogao Grottoes, and only about 10 of them are open to the public every day, and the highest nine-story building was under construction in 13 years, but I didn’t see it. I can see different caves from 2013 when I come back, so I’m looking forward to it of. However, when I was looking at the guide last night, I found out that because it is the peak season, tickets need to be booked online in advance, and now it has been queued for a month later, so I can only buy emergency tickets, and I can only see four caves, and I can only book them. The ticket for the second day after arriving in Dunhuang, so we had to stay one more night in Dunhuang.
Note: refueling 540, meals 412, fruits, water, etc. 30, attractions tickets 500, parking 10, accommodation 441.93 (homestay)

Day 19 Dunhuang

In order to wait for tomorrow's emergency ticket, we have to stay in Dunhuang for a whole day. In the morning, we went to the "West Thousand Buddha Caves", which is 35 kilometers away from Dunhuang. The cliffs on the banks of the Dang River are an important part of Dunhuang art. According to the Dunhuang posthumous writings hidden in Paris, the excavation time of the West Thousand Buddha Caves should be earlier than the Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, and at the latest at the same time as the Mogao Grottoes.

Photo description: The West Thousand Buddha Cave is located on the cliff on the north bank of the river bed at the end of the sand mountain. There are thick shades covering the sky on the steep cliffs and deep ravines, red willows are overgrown on the beach under the cliffs, towering ancient trees, trickling streams flow through, and the environment is quiet.

Photo description: There is a viewpoint on the way back to Dunhuang from West Thousand Buddha Caves. From this angle, the mountains in the distance look like a reclining Buddha.

On the right hand side of the road is a winding sand mountain. We drove to the edge, took pictures and played in the desert...

Photo description: It is said that there are more than 40 varieties of cantaloupe. We bought one and tasted the different varieties we saw along the way from entering Xinjiang.

In the evening we went to the famous Dunhuang Night Market to shop and eat... shop and eat...

Photo description: This dish ordered because of its novelty is particularly unpalatable!

The twentieth day Dunhuang - Zhangye 627 kilometers
Get up early in the morning to visit the Mogao Grottoes at 7:00, and wait in line after arriving at the Mogao Grottoes Digital Center, and then take the free shuttle bus to the scenic spot. The emergency ticket is only open to four particularly large caves. There are loudspeakers at the entrance of the caves to explain, and people are not allowed to stay after entering in line. In 2013, there was a special lecturer who explained in detail, many characters and stories, painting color techniques, etc. are explained in detail, and there are a few small caves where the colors are particularly beautiful, which cannot be seen in these large caves . This time, the four caves were hurriedly read in less than 20 minutes. Therefore, it is not recommended to buy emergency tickets. If you want to appreciate the essence of Mogao Grottoes culture, you must make a plan and book normal tickets in advance.

Photo description: Photos are not allowed in the cave, so I can only take a picture outside from a distance~

Photo description: The landmark building of Mogao Grottoes, the nine-story building, enshrines the world's largest indoor statue of Maitreya Bodhisattva sitting cross-legged. It fills up the regret that has not been seen because of the construction for 13 years.

After visiting the Mogao Grottoes, we continued to set off on the road, driving more than 600 kilometers. Arrive at Zhangye Colorful Danxia Scenic Area at around 4:00 pm. The colorful Danxia landform spectacle that has been planted for many years because of Zhang Yimou's "Three Guns Surprise" is finally here today!
Zhangye Colorful Danxia is located at the northern foot of Qilian Mountain. It is widely distributed, with spectacular scenes, peculiar shapes and bright colors. It is the most typical and largest Danxia landform landscape in arid areas in my country. It has high scientific research value and tourism appreciation value. It is a typical representative of China's colorful Danxia. After entering the scenic spot, you will: marvel! The uncanny workmanship of nature; marvel! A glimpse of the sparkle in a thousand worlds. The colorful colors cannot highlight its magic through photos, and you can only feel it when you are in it—nature is the best designer, the best colorist, and the greatest architect...

Note: Refueling 400, meals 227, fruits, water, etc. 15, parking 10, scenic spot tickets 348, accommodation 323.71 (homestay)

The twenty-first day Zhangye - Alxa League Left Banner 654 kilometers

Starting the return journey today, I basically visited all the scenic spots in the Xinjiang trip plan, so I drove back all the way, and when I passed the right flag, I encountered a sea of willow-leaf verbena flowers, and I couldn't help getting out of the car to take pictures.

Description of the photo: It was cloudy when we set off in the morning, and it became clearer as we walked, and the sun was particularly hot, but the clouds in the sky were beautiful to a certain extent.

Photo description: Wild camels can often be seen in the desert.

Description of the photo: I saw two beautiful little birds in the woods by the roadside during a rest, with beautiful tassels on top of their heads and black and white flowers on their bodies. Later, I checked the information and found out that the scientific name is Dai Sheng. Pull the lens to the one that was taken recently, and I'm afraid to scare them when I get close, so it's not very clear. It looks even better when flying.

Note: 420 for fuel, 346 for meals, 5 for fruits, water, etc., 45 for tolls, and 296 for accommodation.

Day 22 Alxa League Left Banner——Ying County 777 kilometers

In the morning, I originally planned to go to Datong City, Shanxi Province today, mainly because 4 of the 5 people in the car had never been to the Yungang Grottoes, and they all wanted to see them, so that they could see all the four major grottoes in China. We passed by Ordos while driving, and everyone decided to go to the wholesale cashmere place to see if we could buy cheap ones. So we Baidu searched for a cashmere products wholesale market in Ordos City - Huarong Commercial Building. The cashmere products here are much cheaper than those in Harbin! Too much! I bought a cashmere vest, a cashmere sweater for my father, and cashmere pants for my family. Because of the delay in shopping, it would be very late to arrive in Datong. I just chatted with my friends online and learned that there is a very famous wooden pagoda in Ying County passing by on the way, so we temporarily decided to stay in Ying County tonight.

Photo description: When we set off in the morning, the scenery we passed was the prairie. The Helan Mountains in the distance were of different heights, shrouded in hazy clouds and mist, like an elegant ink painting.

Photo description: Reservoir passing by on the way

Description of the photo: I arrived at Ying County after dark. The county seat is very small. I accidentally drove to the old city center. When I got out of the car, I found firecrackers and fireworks on the street, and I saw long people in mourning. The funeral procession, after inquiring about the locals, knew that it was the custom here. The funeral was held at night, and firecrackers and fireworks were set off to send the old people to heaven.
I randomly found a hotel to stay in, and had dinner at the Liangpi shop next to the hotel. When I came out for a stroll at night, I found that the restaurants on this street here are all buying Liangpi, which seems to be a major feature! At the same time, we also found out that we lived next to the wooden tower. The square outside the wooden pagoda is very lively. There are square dancers, shoppers, and shoppers... After shopping for a while, I saw two waves of funeral attendees. The locals said that all funeral attendees would come from this place. Walk around the old street. It is said that the funeral customs here in Shanxi are more grand than marriage, and today I have seen it!

Note: 900 for gas, 123 for meals, 20 for fruits, water, etc., 70 for tolls, and 210 for accommodation

Day 23: Ying County - Xuankong Temple (59km) - Yungang Grottoes (96km) - Datong City (14km)

After breakfast in the morning, the first thing to do is to visit the famous Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. The full name of the Sakyamuni Pagoda is Fogong Temple. The Sakyamuni Pagoda is located in the Fogong Temple in the northwest of Yingxian County, Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. It is commonly known as Yingxian Wooden Pagoda. Built in the second year of Qingning in Liao Dynasty, it is the tallest and oldest wooden tower building in China, together with the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy and the Eiffel Tower in Paris, it is also called "the world's three strange towers". In 2016, Shakya Pagoda was recognized by Guinness World Records as the tallest wooden pagoda in the world. The Sakyamuni Pagoda is 67.31 meters high and 30.27 meters in diameter at the bottom, in a plane octagonal shape. Two relics of Sakyamuni Buddha's tooth are enshrined in the tower.
The whole pagoda is built entirely of wooden components and 54 kinds of bucket arches with mortise and tenon joints, without a single nail.

When walking towards the wooden tower, I saw many swallows flying around the wooden tower, at least hundreds of them. And looking around a little far away, there is not even a swallow. The guide told us that this is a kind of maryan that has lived here for many years, and it is also a kind of spiritual swallow. It does not build nests on the tower, but only lives in the gap under the edge of the tower. The fact that the tower can stand for thousands of years is also related to swallows. The woody fragrance of red pine attracts moths and worms, and swallows fly around the tower, protecting the wooden tower while looking for food. In more than ten days, they will fly away and spend the winter in the south.

In addition to being eroded by day and night, four seasons, wind, frost, rain and snow, the Sakyamuni Pagoda has also suffered many strong earthquakes. There are more than a dozen earthquakes with an intensity above five degrees. It was bombarded by shells during the war, and it still stands after thousands of years. It can be seen that it is because of the mystery of the building structure, the particularity of the surrounding environment, and the factors of human protection. It is a pity that the Buddha relic has been closed for more than a month and has no chance to pay respects.

Photo description: The family temple of Empress Xiao, Emperor Xingzong of Liao Dynasty, first had a temple and then built a pagoda. The architecture of the temple has the characteristics of Jin and Liao Dynasty.

It is 59 kilometers from Yingxian to Datong to arrive at "Xuankong Temple". Facts have proved that it is very correct to stay in Yingxian yesterday. I have visited the world-famous wooden pagoda, and the "Xuankong Temple" that I planned to visit today is also on the way, so I don’t have to go. Back on the road.
Xuankong Temple is located between the cliffs of Cuiping Peak on the west side of Jinlong Gorge, Hengshan Mountain, Hunyuan County, Datong City, Shanxi Province. It was built in the late Northern Wei Dynasty 1400 years ago. It is the only unique temple in China that combines Buddhism, Taoism and Confucianism.
Among the many temples in China, this Hanging Temple can be regarded as a wonderful building. Generally, temples are built on flat ground, but this Hanging Temple lives up to its name. It was built on a cliff and suspended in mid-air. The mountain here is steep, and on both sides are cliffs that stand more than 100 meters upright and cut like axes. The Hanging Temple is built on this cliff. It is really thrilling and unique.

Photo Description: Beiyue Hengshan

mirage doubtful sea,
The bird path is not in the clouds.
A poem on the ticket of the Hanging Temple. Because of the large number of tourists, considering the capacity of the temple, some people will be allowed to climb the temple every hour, so there is a long queue at the foot of the mountain. We have worked hard all the way, and we don’t really want to climb such a high mountain, so we gave up. .

Drive another 96 kilometers from the Xuankong Temple, and arrive at today's third scenic spot - Yungang Grottoes. Located at the southern foot of Wuzhou Mountain, 17 kilometers away from the western suburbs of Datong City, Shanxi Province, the grottoes were dug along the mountain and stretched for 1 kilometer from east to west. There are 45 main caves, 252 large and small niches, and more than 51,000 stone statues. It is one of the largest ancient grottoes in China. The art treasure house of the Great Grottoes.
The statues in Yungang Grottoes are majestic and rich in content, which can be called the crown of Chinese stone carving art in the 5th century AD, and is known as the treasure house of ancient Chinese carving art. The styles of grotto statues in different periods also have their own characteristics. The early "Tanyao Five Grottoes" are majestic and have a simple and simple Western sentiment. The grottoes in the middle period are famous for their exquisite carvings and gorgeous decorations, showing the complex and magnificent artistic style of the Northern Wei Dynasty. Although the grottoes in the late period are small in scale, the figures are thin and handsome, with moderate proportions. They are the model of grotto art in northern China and the origin of "thin and clean portraits".

Photo description: The third cave is the largest grotto in Yungang. The sitting Buddha is about 10 meters high. It is my favorite Buddha statue. It is fat and cute~

Photo description: Open-air statue, the main Buddha's chest and above are relatively well preserved, with a plump and round face, ears hanging from the shoulders, eyes full of spirit, kind face, exquisite carvings, vigorous and vigorous, and it is the most representative work in Yungang Grottoes.

The fourth scenic spot, Huayan Temple, is located in the ancient city of Datong City. It is an earlier and more complete preserved temple complex in Liao and Jin Dynasties in China.

Photo Description: The main entrance of Huayan Temple

Photo description: The "Daxiong Hall" in Shanghuayan Temple is the largest "Daxiong Hall" in China. It is the foundation of the Liao Dynasty, the building of the Jin Dynasty, the statue of the Ming Dynasty, and the mural of the Qing Dynasty.

Photo description: The mural patterns on the roof of the Daxiong Hall are different from each other. The paintings are exquisite and the colors are gorgeous.

The main hall of Huayan Temple is the "Bhagavan Temple". Bhagavan is the abbreviation of Bhagavan. It belongs to this Bodhisattva with folded palms and teeth. She stands on top of a lotus flower with a graceful posture, and smiles with her palms together, showing her teeth. "Panxi" is like a beautiful woman in the world. I think the craftsmen of the carving must have poured more enthusiasm into her. Some people describe her as the Venus of the East, but I think she should not be defined by Western standards She should be an oriental goddess of Chinese style. For a moment, I indulged in the brilliance of the soft beauty of youth and the solemnity of divinity, and felt extraordinarily beautiful.

Description of the photo: When entering the main hall of the ancient building, there is no light in the hall to protect the cultural relics, and photography is not allowed. I took two secretly and it was not very clear.

Photo description: clasping palms, smiling, showing teeth, showing feet, showing back. Divine product. Smiling posture, bright youthful face, curly hair and high crown, lightly parted cherry lips, slender hands clasped together, fluttering skirts, and a plump figure. The whole statue is about two meters high, standing barefoot on the lotus platform, gentle and pleasant, exactly like a beautiful young girl standing in front of her. God, wonderful.
