There is such a magical place where you can learn about astronomy, geography, and look at the starry sky freely. Here is【Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture: Located in the south-central part of Guizhou Province, it is connected to Qiandongnan Prefecture in the east, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in the south, Anshun City and Qianxinan Prefecture in the west, and Guiyang City, the provincial capital in the north;】
On the front line of Qiannan, the tourism resources have different characteristics from those of Qiandongnan. The mountains in Qiannan are still the typical "Mantou Mountains" in Guizhou. But the mountain is lower and lower, closer to Guangxi, so it is similar to the mountain in Guilin. It is more typical of karst landform features. Very suitable for junior high school, high school, and college students "research" trip. It can make people fully understand the knowledge of astronomy and geography beyond textbooks.
A few days ago, I participated in an itinerary experience by chance, and shared this perfect itinerary with friends who are interested in this area.
Day 1: Starting from Guiyang to Qiannan, the first stop can be arranged to China Tianyan
Recommended index: five stars
For most people, it's simply "the cauldron"! Yes, it is a cauldron that makes the Chinese people proud.
[Its full name is: Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope, or FAST for short, located in the karst depression of Dawodang, Kedu Town, Pingtang County. The project is a national major scientific and technological infrastructure . Known as "China's Sky Eye", it was conceived by Chinese astronomer Nan Rendong in 1994. It took more than ten years to select the site, and more than five years to build it. It took a total of 22 years to complete. 】
FAST was officially opened on September 25, 2016. The scenic spot where the telescope is located was put into trial operation on September 26, 2016. It is led by the National Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It has my country's independent intellectual property rights, the world's largest single-aperture, and the most sensitive radio telescope. . The overall performance is ten times that of the famous radio telescope Arecibo.
Scenic spots include the FAST Observation Deck, Astronomical Experience Hall, and Astronomical Cinema, all of which implement a real-name tour system.
[FAST Observation Deck], according to the new regulations introduced in April this year, mobile phones, digital cameras, tablet computers, watches and other electronic products are not allowed to ensure the safe and effective operation of Sky Eye. (Because the sky eye needs to "capture" the weak radio waves emitted by celestial bodies deep in space, it must be protected from interference from surrounding radio frequency signals.) So we cannot take pictures with mobile phones and digital cameras (if you really need to take pictures, there are local It provides rental and photoshoots, using old-fashioned film cameras) so this picture is from the display screen of the experience hall at the back.

[Pingtang International Astronomical Experience Hall] is a natural science exhibition hall for the world's largest radio telescope FAST project and popularizes astronomical knowledge.
The experience hall is next to the entrance of the FAST viewing platform and is divided into 4 permanent exhibition areas with different styles. Together, they vividly interpret the eternal topic of "universe, life, and people" for tourists from all over the world.
In the preface hall, there are Qu Yuan Wentian·Atrium Art Installation, Famous Wall of Bronze Relief Hall·A Brief History of Viewing the Sky, Glass Art Installation·Hua Xiawen Achievements, and a lighting art installation—ancient Chinese star map. The top is decorated with zenith paintings and artistic light arrays, organically combining science and art.
Qu Yuan's "Ask the Sky": From the separation of heaven and earth, the change of yin and yang, to the natural phenomena such as the sun, moon and stars, to the history of myths and legends, sages and sages, and the rise and fall of chaos.
The Radio Astronomy Hall revolves around the development of radio science, starting with a brief history of radio, explaining the various stages of human radio astronomy; and then detailing the various achievements and characteristics of the FAST project from project establishment, construction, and application.
This is a reflective panel structure, and FAST is composed of more than 4,000 such reflective panels to form a huge "pot"
The question I am most curious about here is also why it took so long to choose a site, so remote in this place in Guizhou?
This is the answer given by the experts
1. The landform is close to the shape of FAST, and the amount of excavation is small;
2. The karst topographical characteristics of Pingtang, Guizhou can ensure that rainwater penetrates underground, and will not deposit, corrode and damage the telescope on the surface;
3. The radio telescope needs a piece of pure land. There is no town in Wuhui within a radius of this place, and the radio environment is ideal.
solar system family
The Solar System Family is the first popular science hall for astronomical knowledge. It is aimed at astronomers with a medium knowledge structure and introduces the knowledge of the stars, planets, satellites, comets and other celestial bodies in the solar system.
stars and galaxies
This exhibition area is a popular science area for second-day astronomy. It focuses on the combination of radio astronomy and expounds the results of cutting-edge scientific research such as black holes and gravitational waves. In the form of multi-media, it interprets star-level celestial bodies, the Milky Way, and extragalactic galaxies. Beautiful and stylish.
Star Adventure Zone
This area is mainly for young visitors and their parents. It is suitable for parent-child tours or a small rest experience during group visits. The content setting is lively and changeable, the form emphasizes interaction and feeling, and organically integrates astronomy knowledge into the game.
The Astronomical Hall uses a light metal ball with a diameter of 15 meters as the internal projection image carrier, and 12 high-lumen laser projectors cooperate to project a vast picture of cosmic celestial bodies. The immersive viewing experience is shocking.
The second stop is the typical landform and original ecological scenic spot of the world natural heritage - Maolan Nature Reserve
Original ecological index: four stars
Recommended index: two stars
[Maolan Nature Reserve] In terms of time, I only went to explore the undeveloped original version of the unlit karst cave Golden Lion Cave, all by myself with a flashlight, wearing a headlamp, and walking along the plank road step by step. Although the decoration without colored lights is not so glamorous, it allows people to see the primitive simplicity and primitive growth environment of karst karst landform.
Maolan covers an area of more than 200 square kilometers, and the forest covers more than 91% of the north. Maolan is the core area of the karst world natural heritage in southern China. Due to the large ecological area, most places are protected and the original ecological tourist environment is maintained, and many places need to be developed and improved. It is not suitable for the public to choose, and only a few parts are available for the minority to choose to visit. Due to the large area, it is difficult to hike and cross. Other areas are only loved by outdoor enthusiasts and those who experience wild survival.
The third stop is the karst treasure of the world natural heritage - Libo Xiaoqikong Scenic Area
Xiaoqikong: Original Ecological Index: Samsung
Recommended index: four stars
This side of clear water is known as the emerald on earth! The beauty is intoxicating! Xiaoqikong integrates mountains, water, forests, caves, lakes and waterfalls. Fortunately, it is winter and there are not too many people. It can also be a little quieter to enjoy the scenery instead of counting heads.
In summer, it becomes a paradise for playing with water, where you can enjoy the scenery while playing in the water. Especially during the summer vacation, there are so many people, every road is crowded.
Xiaoqikong Scenic Spot is named after a Xiaoqikong stone bridge built in the 15th year of Daoguang (1836); the scenic spot is called "super bonsai", which integrates mountains, water, caves, forests, lakes, waterfalls, etc. In the canyon less than 2 kilometers long, there are 68 waterfalls rising and falling, rushing down and rushing away. As for the water forest less than 600 meters long, the roots of the trees are coiled on the wrong stones, and the clear water washes over the bluestones. Walking in it, you will feel as if you are in the Qiongyao Fairy Pool;
Big seven holes:
Original ecological index: Samsung
Recommended Index: Samsung
The water area of Daqikong is wider than that of Xiaoqikong. The typical low-middle mountain canyon landform landscape characterized by karst landforms is very magnificent and beautiful. You can take a cruise along the river, or walk on the cliff plank road, the shaded path, or shuttle through the karst virgin forest.
Mengyu Bamboo Raft and Tiansheng Bridge are more bright spots. If the rain passes and the sky clears, the mountain will be filled with fairy spirit. Our trip was under the sun at noon. However, the Big Seven Hole does not have the wonderful feeling of the Little Seven Hole. It is no wonder that after going to the Little Seven Hole, there are not many people who come to the Big Seven Hole. It is recommended that tourists who have enough time spend a day to enjoy it slowly.
strategy overview
1. Driving distance:
Guiyang~Pingtang: about 170KM, 2.5 hours by car, (Because of the high-speed speed limit of large vehicles, there are about 15 kilometers of mountain roads that travel slowly)
Pingtang~Libo: 30KM, (because there is no speed and high speed, the road conditions are slow, the time is about 1 hour)
Libo~Maolan Nature Reserve: About 30KM (Because there is no speed and high speed, the road conditions are slow, and the time is about 1 hour)
Libo ~ big and small seven holes: about 10KM, about 20 minutes
Libo ~ Guiyang: 240KM, 3 hours
2. Tickets
1. Pingtang China Sky Eye: No tickets for the FAST Observatory (Observation Deck Sightseeing Car 50/Science Popularization Experience Hall 50/Sky Cinema 30)
Explanation fees for the popular science experience hall are calculated separately, depending on the needs of individuals or groups, the number of people and the explanation tools are different, and the price is different.
2. Maolan Nature Reserve: Tickets are 50 yuan, sightseeing cars are 50 yuan.
3. Libo ticket: 130 yuan in peak season, 110 yuan in off-season, 40 yuan for sightseeing car
3. Accommodation (Because everyone has different preferences and standards, I recommend the two best local hotels. The basic information can be found in my Ctrip travel photography, and the Ctrip reservation platform can also check the prices of different seasons. )
1. Pingtang Xingchen Tianyuan Hotel (There is a telescope on each balcony to realize your dream of looking at the stars.)
2. Libo Ice, Snow and Water World Theme Park (the hotel is also divided into three themes of ice, snow and water) and corresponding theme parks, which are very suitable for families with children!
This kind of itinerary is generally not available for individual tourists and group tours. Most of them are customized tours in groups or independent tours.
[The moon is traveling] I have been on the road, thank you for following my Ctrip travel photography and travel notes!
