Qinghai, a place that has a lot of fate with me. This is the third time I have stepped into the beautiful Great Qinghai. I really like places of nature. Looking at Qinghai, a vast land in the northwest, the scenery along the way is as beautiful as a painting. Driving on the wide road is like running endlessly on the road, and you can use your eyes to appreciate the beauty of the snow-capped mountains, grasslands, cattle and sheep on the road.

This time I went to Qaidam. The name Qaidam had appeared in my mind a long time ago, and now I can finally set foot on this land. Starting from Xining by car, you can arrive in Delingha in about 7 hours. Of course, you can also choose to fly directly from Xining to Delingha before starting the self-driving tour. It is much more convenient to travel by car in the Northwest region, and you can go wherever you want.

The self-driving route this time is Xining - Delingha - Dachaidan - Keluke Lake - Emerald Lake - Snow Mountain Hot Spring - Southern Eight Immortals - Water Yadan - Jinzihai - Chaka Sky One - Xining.

Come to Keluke Lake, located in the northeast of the Qaidam Basin in Qinghai, where there are lush aquatic plants and quiet and clear lake surface, it is a good place in the Qaidam Basin. Keluke Lake (Keluke Nur) is Mongolian, which means "grassy achnatherum beach", and some people say it is "a place with lush water and grass". Its name may be a bit controversial, because along the way, I saw some writing Keluke, Keluke, etc., but in fact it is the name translated from Mongolian transliteration, and there is nothing to worry about.

It happened to coincide with the 5.19 China Tourism Day, and there were many local Tibetans parading on horseback, and the costumes they wore were quite handsome.

Keluke Lake is rich in natural nutrients, which provide excellent conditions for the survival and development of fish. I saw a lot of people fishing with fishing rods by the lake, because the carp in Keluke Lake are large in size, thick in meat, fine in quality, delicious in taste, high in fat content, and rich in nutrition, so they are very popular among people.

Many beautiful photos can be taken in a beautiful reed field. There are many people fishing leisurely by the lake, and children are catching small fry in the swamp. This lifestyle is really comfortable.

Emerald Lake is also called Dachaidan Salt Lake. When the car just drove into Emerald Lake, I was always surprised by the beautiful scenery in front of me. Let my eyes and soul feel the baptism of nature here. Here is due to the different concentrations of minerals contained, forming a colorful scene, with various blue, green, brown, red, etc., just like emeralds.

The formation of the Emerald Lake is said to be the pits dug here a long time ago, and then suddenly there was a heavy snowfall, and it became such a beautiful landscape, which is amazing.

The snow-capped mountains not far away are reflected on the surface of the lake. This kind of scenery is really beautiful at first glance.

Fortunately, God is really giving face, so I can see such a beautiful scenery. When the weather is fine, the lake surface reflects the blue sky, white clouds and snow-capped mountains like a mirror, as if you are in a fairyland.

Snow mountain hot spring

The Snow Mountain Hot Spring in Dachaidan is the surface runoff hot spring with the best water quality and quantity in Northwest China, and the only natural geothermal spring in the Qaidam area. This Snow Mountain Hot Spring Resort Hotel is already considered the best hotel nearby, and each room also includes tickets to the hot springs.

Dachaidan Snow Mountain Hot Spring is located 8 kilometers north of Dachaidan Town, Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province. The hot spring in the snow-covered plateau is also called by the world: the heavenly bath spring closest to the sun, moon, stars, blue sky and white clouds.

The hot springs here are divided into indoor and outdoor, and the temperature of different hot spring pools is also different ~ Dachaidan has a relatively large temperature difference between morning and evening. After returning to the hotel at night after a day's trip, taking a hot spring can really relieve fatigue and let you relax. sleep better.

During the day, you can see the snow-capped mountains not far away, and at night, you can soak in the hot springs and watch the stars in the sky.

In my opinion, this is a magical land, which is a landform combination of intermittently extending elongated mounds and concave grooves, which is called Yadan landform by geologists.

The Yadan landform of the Southern Eight Immortals in the Qaidam Basin is the most distinctive place in the country and even the world. After thousands of years of geological changes, the climate evolution of alternating strong winds and dryness, the lake has dried up, and the geological movement has lifted it out of the water body. , the crust condensed by salt and sand was eroded by the westerly wind to form the current Yardang landform.


Looking around, there are only yellow sand and mountains left. This inaccessible wasteland gives people the feeling of a lonely planet. Sometimes when the sand blows up, it becomes a magical ghost city that makes people lose their way.

Then come to the "Route 315" 757 Road, which is known as "China's Route 66". This road has a big slope, so it looks particularly good when photographed. But taking pictures belongs to taking pictures, so be sure to pay attention to safety! Important things should be said three times!

The speed on this road is very fast. When taking pictures on the road, remember to pay attention to the passing vehicles. When you see a vehicle coming from a distance, you must stay away from the road. Don’t wait until the vehicle is approaching before dodging. But very dangerous. You can't make fun of your own life and safety just to take pictures.

Yadan on the water

Water Yardang Geopark is the only water Yardang landform in the world. Due to the uplift of Lake Jinel, it gradually submerges the Yardang Group on the northern edge, forming a unique water Yardang, just like the endless uninhabited desert. There was a "Wang Yang".


Water Yadan Park is about an hour's drive from Nanbaxian. Compared with Nanbaxian, this is a different kind of "devil city" style. Some landscapes really need to be watched with your own eyes, which will make you fall into the magic of nature.

It's a little pity that the weather in Yadan on the water is not very good this time, but you can also see the blue and emerald green color of the lake on the water surface. After thousands of years of evolution, who knows what it will look like after thousands of years, and who knows whether it will still exist in the future.

This water Yadan scenic spot has not been over-developed yet. You can also experience desert motorcycles and camel riding in the scenic spot. I think you must experience driving a desert motorcycle to feel the refreshing feeling of galloping on the desert.

There are lakes of various sizes in a desert. Flocks of wild geese fly across the sky, stepping on the hot sand with bare feet and climbing up the hillside. The colors of the lake, sky, desert and grass constitute a painting. Take a panoramic view of this magical natural beauty.

There are ancient legends about Jinzihai. It is said that when Genghis Khan led his troops through this place, the marigolds left behind turned into a sea of ​​gold; I would like to go back to the mountain and enter the lake, so the lake was named Jinzihai.

Even if you are stepping on very hot sand, you have to look cool when taking pictures.

Reminder: It is recommended that you take off your shoes when you go to the desert, otherwise you will definitely go back with sand full of shoes~

At present, Jinzihai is undeveloped and does not need any tickets. You need to see the beautiful scenery as soon as possible~


Chaka Sky One

I went to the very famous Qinghai Chaka Salt Lake many years ago. It was early May when I went there. The weather was very bad and very cold. I couldn’t see the feeling of the mirror of the sky at all. It was a whole piece white. That time was really a big regret for me, but it was also because of the regret that I had the urge to come again.

Chaka Salt Lake is one of the must-see attractions in Qinghai, but Chaka Sky One near Chaka Salt Lake is a newly opened attraction. The point is that there are very few tourists here compared to the original Chaka Salt Lake! And since it was just developed, it is still very clean.

Although Sky One does not have the train tracks of Chaka Salt Lake, you can also take a small train to slowly enjoy the scenery along the way. There are many stops suitable for taking pictures.

To my surprise, there are hot air balloons! ! I was thinking that if you look at the salt lake from the air in a hot air balloon, it must be very beautiful, it is the legendary perspective of God.

Looking closer, the water in the lake is very clear, and I hope in my heart that I can keep it so clean when I come back next time.

When there is no wind, the lake is as quiet as a clear mirror, clearly reflecting the reflections of people and snow-capped mountains on the lake.

In order to allow everyone to enjoy the salt lake more deeply, a very long pedestrian plank road was built, and when you walk to the innermost part of the plank road, you can see a super large love plank road.

Every time I went this time was when the sun was high in the sky, but I could imagine in my mind that if I came to Salt Lake at dusk, I could see the beautiful sunset reflected on the lake. The stunning view above. But when traveling, you have to leave some regrets, and I will come again next time with a regretful heart.

This self-driving trip to Qaidam, Qinghai, once again refreshed my understanding of Qinghai, and I kept sighing the beauty of nature along the way. There are many landscapes that need to be seen as soon as possible, because I don’t know what these places will look like after many years, and I don’t know whether these beautiful scenery will still exist.
