📒 write in front
I went to Macau for 3 days as soon as I cleared the customs. I really missed the food and good hotels there~ After I came back, I immediately finished writing this travel experience. I hope to provide a little guidance for fans who want to visit Macau. .
This "Tourism Restart Guide" selects "must-sees" for recommendations from three aspects: attractions, gourmet experiences, and hotel vacations. Friends can collect them.
🚗 Must-see attractions 01 Ruins of St. Paul's
The ruins of St. Paul's Cathedral, which was built in the 17th century and destroyed in the 19th century, reflects the fusion of Eastern and Western cultures in Macau.
The church has experienced three fires, and now only the front wall remains. Because the appearance of the Ruins of St. Paul's is very similar to that of ancient Chinese archways, and the architectural style also combines Eastern and Western styles, which is very distinctive.
We arrived at the archway at 9 o'clock in the evening. There were very few tourists, so we could pose as we wanted.
Suggested itinerary: We stayed at the Grand Lisboa Hotel for two nights, only 25 minutes walking distance from the Ruins of St. Paul's. After dinner in the evening, walk along the new road. Along the way, you will see various old buildings with European style, such as Atlantic Bank, City Hall, Love Lane, etc.
Senado Square, which is full of southern European style, is called "Fountain" by Macao people. It has been the center of Macau since it was opened as a port until now. Now at 8:45 pm, the streets are empty, so I quickly recorded it with my camera.
The oldest and largest number of Western-style buildings in China are preserved in the old city of Macau. The night view on the new road is so beautiful.
Billboards filled with traditional Chinese characters have a strong commercial atmosphere.
02 Bishop Hill Chapel
Macau is the first and last European colony in Asia. Macau was colonized nearly three centuries earlier than Hong Kong, so the traces of colonization will be more obvious.
For example, the Bishop's Hill Chapel in Ziwangyang is very worth visiting. It is a Gothic revival-style church with a mountain and a sea facing it.
The church was built in 1622. The surrounding ancient trees are towering and the green plants are in line with each other. It is very suitable for taking pictures. In addition, the church itself is a sacred and solemn place, so there are quite a lot of students taking wedding dresses here. Because of the relatively high altitude, Bishop Hill overlooks the city of Macau Peninsula and Nanwan Lake, which is pretty good.
🍽 Food Guide
Macau is an international city with Chinese, South, North and South cuisines, a paradise for food lovers. As a senior foodie, I will definitely not miss it. This trip to the stars has successfully checked in two Michelin three-star restaurants, which is absolutely worthwhile.
01 Michelin three-star "Tianchao French Restaurant"
The first place to check in when you come to Macau is Tianchao French Restaurant, which has won three Michelin stars for 12 consecutive years. It is also the only Western restaurant with three Michelin stars in Macau. It was created by the famous French chef Joël Robuchon of the century. The current executive chef is Julien Tongourian, who is in France. It ranks among the top five dishes and ranks first in Asia.
The decoration of the whole restaurant is very good, and the door is a very elegant collection of wine cabinets; let's introduce this ultra-luxury dining experience from the restaurant landscape and food products.
🌟The seats of the restaurant are set along the outer ring of the glass curtain wall dome. I went to eat at noon. On a sunny day, the visibility is high, and the city scenery of the Macau Peninsula is overlooked at 270 degrees. The scenery is super beautiful, and it is said that the night view is even better.
🌟The lunch menu has three sets. The cheapest one is MOP 998, which includes a starter, a main dish, cheese or dessert, coffee or tea with classic candy, and the remaining two packages add a starter or main dish respectively; the wine is ordered separately.
🌟The specific menu can be seen in the picture above. The ingredients include caviar, duck liver, and seafood. The bread and optional desserts are very good, and the service is also quite good. When serving drinks, the waiter will introduce them to the guests carefully.
🌟When entering the table, the waiter of the restaurant will deliver a mask bag; when serving, there will be a transparent glass cover to cover the food to prevent it from getting cold.
🌟The restaurant is located in the dome on the highest floor of the Grand Lisboa Hotel. After the building takes the elevator to the 39th floor, then transfer to the elevator to reach the restaurant on the 43rd floor.
🌟Each waiter is equipped with a badge with his name and national logo on his chest, which is convenient for diners from all over the world to communicate.
🌟When dining, there will be a dress code, women are required to wear fashionable casual clothing, men are required to wear long trousers, open-toed shoes and sleeveless tops are not allowed.
It is said that the success rate of marriage proposals in this restaurant is quite high, because the entire restaurant has a super luxurious atmosphere.
In the center of the restaurant hangs a large crystal chandelier inlaid with 131,500 Swarovski crystals, pouring down from the 19-meter-high dome ceiling like a waterfall, against the backdrop of the marble floor, and matching the Baccarat ( Baccarat) crystal floor lamp, super romantic.
Under the Swarovski crystal chandelier, a pianist was arranged to play. When we took pictures in the past, the pianist would use his eyes to match your photo.
The restaurant's table, porcelain combination and decorations are all very distinctive. When we dine, the wine is served in Riedel's crystal wine glass, and the food is served in Bernardaud's high-relief platinum plate, which is very high-end.
Recommended dishes:
At Tianchao French Restaurant, there are two French delicacies that you must try, namely "Caviar King Crab Tower with Seafood Jelly" and "Grilled Beef Tenderloin and Duck Liver with Port Wine Sauce".
The caviar king crab tower with seafood jelly is just like a work of art. It looks so amazing that you can't bear to eat it.
Looking at these little dots, you know that it is a test of chef skills. The upper central layer is black caviar, with crab meat hidden underneath, surrounded by seafood jelly, with small yellow balls on top of the seafood jelly, which is made of cream mixed with cauliflower and green parsley.
In terms of ingredients, he used French caviar and king crab from Alaska in the United States. The taste perfectly blends the mellow and rich umami of caviar with the smooth cauliflower cream.
The second course is "roasted beef tenderloin and duck liver with port wine sauce". When serving, two waiters will put a rectangular wooden box in front of you. Aroma, rosemary and dried wood sprigs. Low-temperature grilled beef tenderloin and duck liver are placed in the middle.
The taste of the duck liver is not greasy, it melts in the mouth, it is super delicious, after dipping in the special port wine sauce, the taste will be more layered.
Regarding fine wines, we selected three types of wines to match this food. There are white wine, red wine and champagne. According to Ying Sheng, the wine menu here is the most comprehensive in Asia. Since 2005, it has been awarded the "Grand Award" by the famous wine review magazine "Wine Spectator" every year. I just want to say one word, cow!
Eating French food is very ceremonial, and it takes a long time. We ate this lunch for 4 hours. Before the appetizers are served, the waiting student will recommend a French van and explain to you the names and names of various breads. Taste.
Afterwards, butter for dipping bread will be made for you on the spot. There are two small dishes, one is salty and the other is tasteless.
After the meal, dessert is served, and a dessert trolley will be pushed over, with various cakes on it, and an ice cream trolley after that. I have never eaten many of them, full of freshness, and I want to try everything.
There are many flavors that I have never tried before, like the vanilla ice cream in the picture below. They offer two types of sorbet and ice cream, the difference is that the sorbet has less cream content and more water content, which is suitable for women who are losing weight.
02 Michelin three-star "8 restaurants"
After eating French cuisine, follow along to taste Cantonese cuisine. The 8 restaurant we visited this time is the only high-end Chinese restaurant in Macau that has won three Michelin stars for seven consecutive years.
The name of the restaurant is named after the number "8", just like the word 8 and the energetic goldfish, it can bring good luck and auspiciousness to all visiting diners!
Red and black are the main colors in the decoration design of the restaurant. The whole is noble, luxurious and full of traditional Chinese cultural characteristics.
Entering the restaurant, you must first pass through a glass corridor. On both sides of the corridor are slowly flowing water curtain walls. Through light and shadow projection technology, the scene of a goldfish pool is ingeniously simulated. The vivid goldfish will move with the steps of the guests. Very innovative.
A shining silver crystal ball hangs in the center of the dining area, which will emit different colors and form an "8" with the reflection below.
On the wall behind the restaurant is a double-sided embroidered screen with giant goldfish, which is lifelike and beautiful.
The ceiling chandelier is decorated with things like copper coins, which is very traditional Chinese.
The restaurant is famous all over the world for its exquisite creative dim sum and classic Cantonese dishes prepared with modern cooking techniques. Let’s take a look at the classic dishes below.
Appetizer, a small spoon, with a small abalone on one side, and beef stuffed with morel mushrooms.
Golden Garlic Emerald Star Spot Ball is the signature dish - Dong Xing Ban has sweet and fresh meat, sweet and crispy tempeh and golden fried garlic. The combination of soy sauce and garlic will produce a unique aroma. Before serving, add the sauce boiled in the soup to make the noodles smoother.
Salt and Pepper Long Lizai
A selection of siu mei, including black pork char siu in honey sauce, pan-fried scallops, and snow field crab organic tomato.
Shredded Duck and Scallop Soup with Fish Maw
Guanyan Stuffed Bamboo Fungus
Crispy Blue Angel Shrimp with Pipa Chicken
Casserole Braised Rice with Abalone and Chicken Diced
Dessert with Macao characteristics, egg tart with milk tea. The meringue of the egg tart is quite thin and crisp, and the custard is thick and fragrant; the milk tea is silky and fragrant, just a small cup, just right.
The wine is also paired with champagne, white wine and red wine. Good wine can help freshen the food and help open up the layers of taste buds.

03 Authentic Cuisine of Macao and Portugal
The Grand Lisboa Hotel is currently the hotel with the most Michelin stars in Macau. Including the one-star innovative steakhouse "Master Chef", there are a total of 7 Michelin stars. But the hotel is not full of high-end restaurants, and you can also taste some authentic Macanese and Portuguese delicacies at a more affordable price.
Day and night coffee shop, their croissants are very popular, many locals like to come and buy some bread for breakfast the next day.
Let me introduce some classic delicacies that locals love to eat.
Portuguese-style pork neck, the meat is very tender, and it is eaten with shredded cucumber at the bottom, which makes people feel a different taste.
Bacalhau balls are salt-cured cod meat mixed with potatoes and fried. Almost every Macau person must order an appetizer when they go to a restaurant.
Grand Lisboa Company Sandwich
Day and Night Café – Congee and Noodles is the place to sample Chinese dim sum and dishes. For example, all kinds of handmade noodles, Cantonese porridge and Sichuan and Shanghai snacks are available.
Food is served here quickly, and performances are a major feature of the restaurant. It is also a pleasure to enjoy the well-known "Kung Fu Tea" performance in the congee and noodle area.
A Niang Sauce Duck
The decoration of the restaurant is very Chinese style. The pillars on the bridge are decorated with twelve zodiac signs, which is quite special.
Next to the dining table are lotus ponds, and the lotus leaves are made of metal.
The porridge and noodle section generally tastes OK, the price is close to the people, delicious and not expensive, and the secret recipe for saving money, you can get a discount if you pay the bill and get a membership card.
To taste the authentic tea restaurant culture in Macau, I recommend the Crystal Gallery restaurant, where we ate our breakfast. Hong Kong-style pineapple oil, pan-fried cocktail buns, four-treasure rice, and royal barbecued pork omelette rice are all specialties here.
Then the restaurant is open 24 hours a day. People staying at the Grand Lisboa Hotel sometimes get hungry late at night, so they can have delicious supper downstairs, which is convenient.
Royal Char Siu Omelette Rice
Hong Kong-style pineapple oil, look how thick the butter is in the middle.
A favorite nostalgic snack among Macau people, spicy sardines with luncheon meat doll noodles.
🏨 Vacation experience
The Grand Lisboa Hotel in Macau has gone beyond the definition of an ordinary hotel and is definitely a tourist attraction.
Its very Macau-style lotus symbol is the architectural design, which fully demonstrates the history and cultural heritage of the city, and is also one of the most representative buildings in the area. Several times, when I took a boat from Xiangzhou Port to Wailingding Island and Guishan Island, I could recognize this golden building from a distance along the sea.
Under the aerial photography, the Grand Libo Hotel stands on the Macau Peninsula, and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge in the distance lies across the sea like a crouching dragon.
The style of the hotel is very high, and the toiletries are all international first-class brands, Hermes.
The hotel has more than 400 luxurious rooms and suites. There are three kinds of room colors, red, blue and purple. The room I live in is purple.
The rooms are relatively large in size. My room can enjoy the reclamation area of the Macau Peninsula and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, and the view is OK.
The night view will be more brilliant, Macau is the city that never sleeps in the East.
The bathroom space is also quite spacious, the bathtub is equipped with a massage function, and there are underwater lighting.
Double sink design, the mirror in the middle is equipped with an LCD TV.
01 Make food by yourself
Vacationing in the Grand Lisboa Hotel, you can’t stop experiencing various experiences. In addition to tasting delicious food, you can also do it yourself and make delicious food with the master.
In the afternoon, at Don Alfonso 1890 Italian Cuisine Restaurant, follow the pizza chef Maurizio Ferrini to make local Italian food, authentic Neapolitan pizza.
The teacher first introduced the production process to me, and then I kneaded the dough under his guidance.
Knead repeatedly to make the dough round and larger, and finally form a shape with a low center and high sides.
Another chef instructed me to add toppings to each crepe.
I added prosciutto, shiitake mushrooms and some organic veggies, tomato sauce etc. Give it to the master to put it in the oven, bake for 30 seconds and it will be out of the oven.
In the day and night cafe workshop, we followed Mr. Deren Murakami, the bakery chef, and we experienced making wood bran cakes on the spot.
Wood bran cake is a favorite dessert of Macau locals. It is a must-try when visiting Macau.
Wood bran cake, called Serradura in Portuguese, is a unique Portuguese dessert in Macau. Wood chaff refers to biscuit crumbs. It is made by freezing biscuits, cream and other materials layer by layer.
The production process is simple, just three layers of biscuit crumbs and three layers of cream. The two are spaced apart from each other, and finally a mint leaf is inserted in the center for decoration.
After the production is completed, give it to the teacher and send it to the refrigerator to refrigerate.
02 Art and culture appreciation
Entering the first floor of the Grand Lisboa Hotel is like coming to an art museum. The exhibits inside are too rich.
From glittering dragon boats to prehistoric mammoth ivory carvings, many rare treasures can be seen here.
Entering through the main entrance is the statue of Dr. He.
On the left are diamonds and emeralds, quite dazzling.
The prehistoric mammoth ivory carving, Monkey King Monkey King, the characters inside are very vivid and vivid.
The Eight Immortals cross the sea, each showing their magical powers.
The lotus pond in the lobby is also a good place to check in.
03 Spa experience
The Grand Lisboa Spa was recommended by the travel guide Forbes, so I will try it this time.
What I experienced was the 60-minute Grand Lisboa Royal Massage. There are more than 10 types of aromatherapy to choose from. The masseuse will cover the aromatherapy stone on the glass and let us smell it for easy selection. Aromatherapy is all produced in England.
Afterwards, the masseuse will ask me about some acupuncture points, strength and body pain position, and help them accurately press the spine and foot points, and use Swedish massage techniques to soothe the body and mind, relieve muscle and joint pain caused by exercise, and promote blood circulation.
We experience this as a suite, with extra soaking tubs and separate toilets.
I finally chose lavender-flavored essential oil, which is easier to relax and relieve fatigue.
The mobile shampoo cart in the hair salon next to the spa is really unique. I have never tried this shampoo experience in the mainland. After the hair cut, guests do not need to get up and go to the hair washing chair as usual.
Now you are sitting on a leather chair, and the barber will push the shampoo trolley over and wash it for you directly, which is very convenient and saves space.
After the cut is more energetic, I am happy to take a photo with the hair stylist.

Guangdong has resumed how to handle endorsements on the 26th of last month, and the time for the opening of tourism endorsements nationwide is September 23. 📷 Traffic strategy
I stayed at the Grand Lisboa Hotel for two nights during the Michelin star tour. The location is superior, it is close to everything, and there is a public station at the door. Whether you go to Coloane, Cotai City or Taipa, you can find the corresponding public lines, which is very convenient.
Lewanjun has posted the bus route.
You can take the free shuttle bus when you come to the hotel. Take the Gongbei Customs Gate in Zhuhai as an example. After leaving the customs, just find the green bus and get on the bus.
There are many scenic spots around the hotel, and it only takes 15 minutes and 5 minutes to drive from Macau International Airport and Macau Outer Harbor Ferry Terminal respectively. If you like food like me, you can get a Michelin star restaurant without leaving the store.
