About Medog, the first thing I know about it is because of the book "Lotus" written by Baby Anne. I am a person who reads very fast, although this is not necessarily a good habit... But reading "Lotus" is the slowest time I have read a book, and I am cautious every time I read it, because I am afraid of missing every detail but extremely Cool words.

The story is not complicated. Qingzhao, who is seriously ill, wants to go to the edge-like Medog to find peace when he is on the edge. Shansheng, who is lonely but unable to get rid of life, goes to Medog to find his only friend, Neihe. The two then met and walked all the way to Medog in the depths of the Yarlung Zangbo River Grand Canyon. It was difficult but still longing. Shansheng told Qingzhao the story of him and Neihe, but everything seemed to have quietly flowed away with the river...

Su Neihe, a girl with low self-esteem who lives under the fence, finally found a place for her soul in Medog earlier, but died of a mudslide two years ago while picking up school children from school. They are like the turbulent waters of the Yarlung Zangbo River, with strange and dangerous obstacles along the way.

Qingzhao later left with the "token", which the Shansheng gave her, which belonged to Neihe. As for Shansheng, no one knows where he went, whether he was alive or dead... In Medog, where the lotus blooms, they had a new start, and everything seemed to return to the original point. People know they walk by. The lotus blooms again, in the depths where no one can see, pure and lonely...

Why go to Medog?

Perhaps because of physical reasons, Qing Zhao wanted to find peace.

Shansheng may want to fulfill the agreement due to life reasons.

As for Sun Neihe, it may be because of evasion, or it may be because of faith.

Perhaps, they actually just want to redeem themselves.

Medog, formerly known as Boyu Baimagang, means hidden lotus. Medog belongs to Linzhi City, Tibet Autonomous Region. Although it is located in the plateau of Tibet, its average altitude is only 1,200 meters.

What is the impression of the plateau? The towering snow-capped mountains? Or an endless wasteland? Then Medog is different from the plateau in people's impression and Tibet in imagination. Medog is the place with the lowest altitude and the mildest climate in all of Tibet, and it is the Tibet that is least like Tibet.

Medog does not have a large number of Tibetans, but mainly Monba and Lhoba. Although the Moinba have their own language, they do not have their own written language, but most of them know and understand Tibetan, and have close ties with the Tibetan people in terms of life and economy. The Lhoba people also have their own language, but there is no written language. Earlier, they used knotting and wood carving to record events, but now they mostly use Tibetan and Chinese characters.

They live in seclusion in this land of lotus flowers, surrounded by the Brahmaputra Grand Canyon, Namjagbarwa Peak, and Galongla Snow Mountain... and Medog is like a quiet stamen, tightly embraced by these petals.

The altitude difference here is huge. From the 7,782-meter-high Namjagbarwa Peak to the 100-meter-high Paxika in the south, there is an altitude difference of nearly 7,000 meters, which makes the vertical differentiation of the Medog landform obvious. From the towering snow-capped mountains to the dense tropical rainforest, it is enough to see Medog.

There are vast forests and misty snow-capped mountains; there are fierce and swift waterfalls and rolling hills. Medog is the last county in China with road access, and road breaking seems to be a common occurrence here. The mountains are blocked by heavy snow in winter, and the mudslides in summer are constant, making this place once a secret place that is inaccessible.

The dense forest in the depths is carved with ancient annual rings, and the top of the snow-capped mountains hides the traces of time. There are always some scenery that cannot be reached by imagination, and there are always some roads that cannot be crossed by wheels, so gradually, some people choose to use their feet to explore the most primitive Medog - Medog on foot.

This is also one of the representative labels of Medog. As one of the top ten hiking routes in China, the Medog route is naturally the coexistence of charming scenery and suffocating environment. But no matter how many unknowns lie ahead, there are still people who choose to move forward. You have to ask why did you go to Medog?

The sentence I hope to hear is: because of love~
