[Introduction] I have always wanted to take a trip with my friends, and this time it finally came true!
We are always prone to get bogged down in the quagmire of tedious life and unable to move forward. But do you know that the city full of mystery in the distance has been shining golden light under the sun?
【Preface】
For Yinchuan in Ningxia, perhaps many people will immediately think of the beautiful title of "the land of fish and rice in the south of the Yangtze River". There may be many people whose impression of Yinchuan is still in the desolate scene of "long yellow sand, lonely smoke in the desert"! But through this trip, my impression of Yinchuan has changed a lot. I am deeply fascinated by such a place full of exotic customs, long cultural history and rough northwest scenery.
Have you ever experienced the spring in Yinchuan, Ningxia? Mysterious Western Xia, Journey to the West, Strange Ancient Paintings. It is really a very happy thing to meet the drunk and beautiful Yinchuan in the most beautiful spring!

Since the time for this visit is only one day, we adopted a tour route from near to far. Let's go and have a look!
◆First stop: Xixia Style Garden
Tickets: 60 yuan / person
I have watched the documentary "Mysterious Xixia" before, so I have a deep attachment to the mysterious country of the Xixia Dynasty. I have long heard that the Xixia Customs Garden is a perfect place to restore the history of Xixia. Therefore, we are full of deep expectations for the first stop of our trip. Facts have proved that Xixia Fengqing Garden did not disappoint me!
As soon as we got off the bus, we were attracted by the building at the entrance. After the explanation of the tour guide, we realized that this square is called Miaoyin Square. Buddhism can be said to be the state religion of Xixia, and Kalavinka is a kind of divine bird in Buddhism. If you have witnessed it with your own eyes, you will really feel a solemn and sacred feeling.
After entering the scenic spot, we followed the explanation and went directly to Shijing Street, which is a real street that restores the life of people in the Xixia Dynasty. There are Tongji Prison, Iron Works Institute, Tea House, Hospital for Asylum, Cailou, Gambling House and other places in the street. You can really learn a lot about the customs and habits of the Xixia Dynasty here. In fact, it can also be seen from here that the Xixia Dynasty was actually a very prosperous dynasty.
After visiting Shijing Street, I just caught up with the performance of Shijing Juggling in the scenic area, so I watched a jaw-dropping performance here. The specific effect can be seen in the picture!
In fact, the most worth mentioning is the horse fighting performance "Beacon Fire Xixia" in the scenic spot. It is said that the scenic spot spent a lot of money to create it. The horse battle performance is to restore the real scene of the battle of the Xialiao Hequ. This is also a thrilling performance. I have to say that the performers' horse stunts are really top-notch. I really sweated for them when I watched it. Always worry that they will fall off the horse. But it turns out that I was thinking too much, because their skills are skilled enough.
In fact, there are still many places worth visiting in the scenic spot, but because our schedule is relatively tight, there are still many places that we have left in a hurry without visiting. But the Xixia Customs Garden left a deep impression on me. I think if I have the opportunity, I will go to the Xixia Customs Garden again to savor the culture of the Xixia Period.
◆Second stop: Tombs of the Western Xia Dynasty
Tickets: 88 yuan / person (including tickets)
The Western Xia Royal Mausoleum, also known as the Western Xia Imperial Mausoleum, is the tomb of the emperors and royal tombs of the Western Xia Dynasty, and it is also the largest existing Xixia cultural site in China. Because of its unique architectural form, it is inherently known as the "Oriental Pyramid".
First of all, we followed the pace of the explanation and learned about the development history of Xixia. In fact, the most impressive thing is the statue in the museum, which is really lifelike, and it also introduces the important events of the Xixia period very well. Below you can enjoy the photos!
Dangxiang Migration: Because they were often robbed by Turpan, the Dangxiang clan began to migrate in desperation.
Establishing a business in Lingzhou: Because Li Jiqian (grandfather of Li Yuanhao), the leader of the party clan, was dissatisfied with being restrained by the Song Dynasty, in 1002, Li Jiqian led his troops to capture Lingzhou and established a business here.
Move the capital to Huaiyuan Town: In 1020, Li Deming moved the capital to Huaiyuan Town (now Yinchuan). After 10 years of construction, a prosperous scene of merchants and shops in the city finally appeared.
Yuan Hao's death: On the fifteenth day of the first lunar month in 1048, Yuan Hao had his nose cut off by the prince and died of excessive bleeding.
Dying secret testament: Genghis Khan was seriously ill during the battle with Xixia and lived in Liupanshan Palace. When he was dying, he made a will: After death, there will be no mourning, and when the Lord Xia surrenders, he and all the soldiers and civilians in Xingqing Mansion will be killed.
After that, we took a sightseeing bus to the magnificent No. 3 Mausoleum, which is the largest in the entire scenic area. After thousands of years, although the buildings on the ground have suffered serious damage, the cemetery’s towers and spirit towers are basically intact. The platform is one of the characteristics that distinguish the imperial mausoleum from the accompanying tomb.
I heard from the commentator that when the excavation was carried out, the tomb robbers had already robbed it, and there was a big pit. Obviously, this was a robbery pit, and the plot of the tomb robber's notes lingered in my mind.
Because the time to go is not a coincidence, Tomb 1 and Tomb 2 were not open that day, so there was no close-up visit, which is a pity. On the whole, the impression given to us by the Xixia King's Tomb is: this is a scenic spot with a lot of historical heritage. If you don't supplement the historical knowledge during the tour, it can only be a fancy tour. There are very few interactive contents in the scenic area, and they are basically explained. If you visit by yourself, you can basically finish the tour in 1 hour.
◆Third stop: Zhenbeibao Western Studios
Tickets: 80/person
After coming out of the Xixia King’s Mausoleum, we went directly to Zhenbeibao Western Film and Television City. After all, many of the movies made here are very famous. Rong's mood is also difficult to suppress.
But it happened to be noon when I went, so I had a meal in the hot spring town opposite the film and television city. It is said to be a hot spring town, but there are actually very few people in it, and many shops are not open.
After dinner, we went straight to the film and television city. Zhenbei Fort is mainly composed of Qingcheng and Mingcheng. As soon as we enter the gate, the film and television city shows us a strange, majestic, desolate, tragic and undefeated scene. The scale of the film and television city is still very large. The tour guide said that after visiting Basically, it takes more than 2 hours. So we sped up the pace a little~
First of all, we went to Mingcheng. The most displayed here are the scenes that appeared in various well-known movies. Including Cornucopia, Shepherd, Cultural Revolution Compound, Moon Gate, Guanzhong City Gate, Pansi Cave, Jiuer's Room, Longmen Inn and other scenic spots. That desolate, loess-flavored culture seems to take us into the characters in TV dramas all at once.
After spending about an hour in Mingcheng, we went to Qingcheng and went to the classic scene in "A Chinese Journey to the West". Under the door of luck, we saw the most classic picture. However, due to the strong wind that day, there were not so many "Zixia fairies" in the city. But also because of the strong wind, the desolate and majestic scene of the desert and lonely smoke in the film and television city is well displayed.
Generally speaking, the film and television city is a scenic spot that can be played for a day, and there are many recreational items in it, and it is also a scenic spot worth visiting. If you don't go to the film and television city, how can you experience the feeling of Chinese movies going from here to the world?
◆Fourth stop: Rock paintings of Helan Mountain
Tickets: 70/person
Next is our last stop, the rock paintings of Helan Mountain~~ The scenic spot is relatively far from Yinchuan City, and the time required for the tour is about 1 hour. It is strongly recommended that everyone follow the explanation.
The petroglyphs are the production and life scenes carved by the residents on the rocks of Helan Mountain to express their pursuit of a better life. The artistic modeling of the Helan Mountain rock paintings is rough and thick, the composition is simple, the posture is natural, and the realism is strong. The most popular ones are portraits of people, followed by animal figures such as cows, horses, donkeys, deer, birds, and wolves.
First of all, we went to the Yinchuan World Rock Art Museum, where there are the most representative boutique rock art catalogs, rubbings, demoulding replicas, oil painting imitations, real objects and original artworks produced at the same time as rock paintings in various countries.
Finally, we entered the Helan Mountain Rock Painting Reserve. The Helan Mountain Rock Paintings are located in Helankou. There are real pictures carved on the cliff by Chinese nomads, including portraits, shooting and war scenes, as well as texts, totems and other paintings. Most of the pictures are rough and simple, which is a great miracle of ancient Chinese civilization. Most of the petroglyphs are chiseled with tools first and then ground with other tools. Standing among the green mountains and green trees, admiring the lifelike rock paintings, I seem to have seen the labor methods of human society in ancient times, and the relationship between human beings and nature...
A short and meaningful day ended like this. Although I was a little tired after walking for a day, the friends who walked together were still very happy. Through this day's tour, we also gained a lot. We not only learned the real face of Yinchuan, but also learned a lot of knowledge that we didn't know before. We also have a more complete understanding of the history of Xixia. I hope that I will have time in the future to go outside and see more. Traveling will really broaden my horizons a lot.
