Departed for Tibet on July 10, 2015, and returned to Nanjing on July 21. The trip totaled 12 days. This trip is also very memorable in the history of personal travel. Because in the circle of friends, people who have the courage to travel to Tibet are not ordinary, so I am naturally not ordinary after I come back. Even though I have been back for so long, I still often recall the hard work and the excitement when I saw Daocheng Yading for the first time. So after nearly four years, through photos and memories, I continue to write this travel note. Let’s take a look at the beautiful photos of Tibet first.

Prequel:

The reason for this trip to Tibet is that when friends gathered, they all lamented that their life was approaching forty, and everyone felt that they should arrange an exclusive trip that truly belonged to the brothers as a memorial.

I am about to go to the "Heavenly Road", and I am going to one of the most mysterious places in China. My previous understanding of it was only based on the wonderful and exquisite photos on the Internet. Its high altitude, long journey, and bumpy road are all unimaginable.

Because Tibet is too far away and the altitude is too high, most people are in awe of it, so not many people have the opportunity to experience it in depth. The difficulty of this trip is no less than that of traveling abroad. After confirming the itinerary, it felt like grass had grown in my heart. After work, I was looking through various travel experiences and photos in Tibet, eager to set off for Tibet as soon as I woke up.

In order to respect this trip, various preparations were started one month in advance, and the days were spent happily in anticipation.

Precautions:

1. Not everyone will have altitude sickness, but some people say that eating Rhodiola in advance works, but it turns out that there is basically no effect;

2. Even in summer, the temperature difference between morning and evening is very large. You can wear a T-shirt at noon and a cotton jacket at night;

3. A healthy body is essential, especially to prevent colds and fevers;

4. Do not engage in any strenuous exercise, including intimacy between men and women, otherwise the heart will not be able to bear it;

5. Drinking alcohol will accelerate blood circulation and heartbeat, so drinking is prohibited;

6. People who like to drink tea should pay attention, because the air pressure is relatively low, and the boiling water there will never be heated to 100 degrees.

Necessary items:

1. A pair of wear-resistant and breathable shoes;

2. The sunlight is strong, so wear a good pair of polarized sunglasses and a sun hat;

3. Jackets and pants with cold-proof, breathable and warm-keeping functions;

4. There are four seasons in a day, winter clothes and summer clothes must be brought;

5. Prepare one or two multi-functional scarves, which can be used as a mask for cold protection;

6. Prepare some change for one piece of banknotes, because you will give tips when you stop along the way to go to the bathroom of the local people, or if you disturb others;

7. Prepare some chocolate and other snacks;

8. Prepare some cold medicine and diarrhea medicine;

9. Prepare a small emergency oxygen tank in case of emergency;

10. A large power bank.

Travel mode:

From Nanjing to Chengdu, there are guides driving along the way. After arriving in Lhasa, I will fly back to Nanjing. It can be regarded as a free trip with a car rental and a guide.

Because other friends have been to Tibet before, it is recommended that we rent a car and be led by a guide. From Chengdu all the way west, take the southern line, which is National Highway 318, to Tibet. With this way of traveling, you can enjoy the most beautiful scenery along the way. It is said that the most beautiful scenery in Tibet is on the road.

The car is brought by the guide. He drives us for navigation. It feels similar to self-driving. Four people have a car, and each person costs 400 yuan a day, which includes the gasoline fee for the whole journey. Meals, accommodation, and tickets are all extra. Solution, the cost of the guide is also shared equally by everyone. Before departure, I have fully communicated with the guide on the play requirements, as well as food and accommodation.

Within the arrival time of the established itinerary, you can stop whenever you want while driving, and look wherever you want. The angle of enjoying the beautiful scenery is up to us to play freely. Of course, the guides of key attractions will make arrangements in advance.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Now let me lead you to set off to enjoy our wonderful trip to Tibet.

The first day (7.10): According to their own time, fly to the scheduled hotel in Chengdu to gather.

Chengdu

For those who have never been to Chengdu, you can take the morning flight, and when you arrive, you can go to places such as Kuanzhai Alley and Wuhou Temple in Chengdu, and have a delicious meal of authentic Chengdu hot pot in the evening. We arrived by plane at night, so we went straight back to the hotel. (The following photos were taken in Kuanzhai Alley during a special trip to Chengdu in 2017, and I put them here for a scene)

The next day (7.11): Chengdu - Luding - Kangding, with a mileage of 270 kilometers.

Luding Bridge

Today officially departs from Chengdu, takes the Chengya Expressway, passes through Ya'an, crosses the Erlangshan Tunnel, and crosses the Yanda River all the way up to the first stop of the trip - Luding Bridge.

It is said that this is still the original appearance, that is, the cable bridge has been renovated, and it is also made like this for the convenience of tourists. Tickets are 10 yuan per person.

Those of my age should have learned such a text "Flying over the Luding Bridge" in elementary school, and everyone should still remember the content of the text. Today I finally came here to experience it on the spot. I fully felt the heroism of the Chinese Red Army back then. Our team also performed assault drills on the chain bridge several times.

The women's detachment was the first to cross the Dadu River, forming an encirclement trend with the main Red Army and regaining the bridgehead.

Kangding

Next, we began to travel in a detour between the mountains, and the valleys on both sides gradually became steeper. From here, we really started to move towards the plateau. Before dinner, we successfully arrived at Kangding, which is 2,450 meters above sea level. "Kangding Love Song" describes this land, and today we live in the city of Kangding. In the middle of the small town, the Zheduo River passes through the city, the endlessly flowing river pours down, and the sound of the rumbling water is endless, bringing vitality to the small town.

Tonight I stayed at the best hotel in the small town - Kangding Hotel (four-star), the price seems to be more than 500. After the accommodation problem was solved, I started to wander around the city and took a lot of funny and weird photos. For example, in the picture below, named "Twelve Monsters in the South of the Yangtze River", following Xu Dabai's sudden shout, they couldn't help turning their heads back, and quickly captured this moment, so they had their own emoticons.

This picture is called "We are the best".

There was a joke during the meal, and the food was not served for a long time after ordering. After urging, I learned that this place already belongs to the plateau area. Due to the low air pressure, soups and vegetables have to be cooked for a long time to be good, so I will go there in the future You must be able to fully understand.

After dinner, I found that there were a lot of tourists traveling from south to north in the town, and the town has been decorated as a city that never sleeps. Many tourists gathered here to make arrangements for the implementation of subsequent travel plans.

The third day (7.12): Arrive in Kangding - Mugecuo - Xindu Bridge, with a mileage of 80 kilometers.

Mugecuo

The first stop is Mugecuo, where you can enjoy the natural scenery of alpine lakes, forests and grasslands. Mugecuo Tibetan means "Wild People's Sea", also known as "Dahaizi". The water quality here is clear, the visibility is close to 10 meters, and the snow-capped mountains melt water is its main water source. It is a national key scenic spot, and you need to buy tickets to visit it (Ticket 90 yuan/person), you need to take a special sightseeing battery car up the mountain (can't remember the fare).

It is said to be a grassland, but it is actually a green meadow that connects the valleys. Whenever summer comes, the local Tibetans set up tents here to graze. Under the meadow, there is ample storage of melted snow, which provides abundant food for yaks and goats. The excess water flows to the Zheduo River through the streams between the canyons.

On the grassland, I also tasted the yak yoghurt made by the herdsmen themselves. The fragrant and waxy taste is simply delicious in the world.

Today's weather is very powerful, and the white clouds are always overhead, as if you can reach the same distance with your hand. In addition to the excitement, in order to enjoy more beautiful scenery along the way, I simply walked along the canyon for almost two hours before reaching the bottom of the mountain.

In the afternoon, head to Xinduqiao. The rhythm of climbing mountains and ridges starts here. On the way, I climbed the high-altitude Zheduo Mountain (4410 meters above sea level) for the first time, which is also the highest altitude place I have been to so far. When the car turned a corner and was about to reach the top of the mountain, everyone screamed "Look, Snow Mountain" in unison. In fact, what we see is the main peak of Gongga Snow Mountain, which is known as the "King of Shu Mountain" at an altitude of 7,556 meters. It is a local sacred mountain. If the weather is fine, you can clearly see Mount Kailash from Chengdu, which is 230 kilometers away. The guide said that on the Sichuan-Tibet line that has been running for many years, it is rare to see the Gongga Snow Mountain on the Zheduo Mountain. Praise our team for good luck!

On the way down the mountain, I also took pictures while walking. The implication of the following thing is not very clear, and it is mostly related to praying.

When I was about to go down the mountain, I was on the mountain next to the airport at the top of the mountain, and I saw the big characters "Kangding Love Song" from a distance. This is Kangding saying goodbye to us!

But at this time, the expected high-reflex disease suddenly attacked several female players in the team, and they began to experience dizziness and vomiting with different symptoms. According to the description of the companions later, it felt as uncomfortable as dying. The male compatriots also felt the slight swelling of the cerebellum, which felt like it was about to explode.

Xindu Bridge

The guide said without exaggeration that the most beautiful scenery along the way is on the way to Xindu Bridge. The beauty of Xindu Bridge is famous for its light and shadow changes, and it is known as a photographer's paradise. Magical light, boundless grasslands, crooked streams, rolling mountains, scattered Tibetan villages, cattle and sheep grazing peacefully...the plain scenery in western Sichuan is blooming beautifully. As you go west, there are more and more unique scenery in Tibetan areas, such as white pagodas, prayer flags, Tibetan temples, manidui, and herds of yaks. . . . . .

It's a pity that mobile phones and cameras were not working at that time, and photography skills were not good. I can only hope that you will take more beautiful photos when you go there in the future.

Staying at Xinduqiao tonight, the female team members were no longer in the mood to have dinner after they arrived, and they lay down and began to inhale oxygen, as if they were dying. After dinner, the guide specially told everyone in the team that sleeping at night will be very uncomfortable, and you will wake up every one or two hours, but don’t worry, this is a common problem for people who have just entered high altitude areas in the plains. Sure enough, when I asked the next morning, almost everyone didn't sleep well. I woke up twice in the night holding my breath, feeling as if I was about to suffocate. It was terrifying in the middle of the night. So here is a reminder to friends who are going to play in the future, prepare oxygen bags in advance.

The fourth day (7.13): Xindu Bridge - Shangri-La Town, with a mileage of 420 kilometers.

Today's driving distance is relatively long, and the only destination is Shangri-La Town. The Shangri-La town mentioned here is not the same place as the Shangri-La in Lijiang. The vertical distance on the map is not very far. This is the only way to go to Tibet on the Yunnan-Tibet Highway.

It feels like walking through clouds.

Today's weather is a bit cold, and the convoy moved forward with difficulty in the mountains and climbed four mountains (Gaoersi Mountain, Jianziwan Mountain, Kazila Mountain, Haizi Mountain) with an altitude of more than 4,000 meters. When the clouds are under our feet, all the hardships are worth it!

After turning over the last high mountain, you will arrive at Litang, and then drive from east to south, heading towards Daocheng. This section of the road must be turned back.

The dwellings of ordinary Tibetans in the canyon have improved living conditions, and new houses have been built.

There is only one family on such a large piece of land.

It is said that the large and small boulders on the mountain are all left from the beginning of the formation of the landform, and have not changed for millions of years. I wanted to find a few unique stones to bring back, but climbing this seemingly low mountain bag is also an impossible task in high altitude areas.

Daocheng Red Grass Beach

This is the real scene of the Red Grass Beach, but it is still summer, and in autumn the grass will be a piece of red, against the poplar trees, the scenery will be too beautiful to behold.

The picture below is the network download.

Daocheng White Tower

It is composed of 108 white pagodas, which are square in shape, and the base is covered with rows of prayer barrels. It is a gathering place for Tibetans in Daocheng. Every morning, many Tibetans come here to pray for blessings.

The weather cleared up in the afternoon, and everyone got out of the car to relax. It is said that the gravitational force in high-altitude areas is low, and shooting "levitation" has become an amateur activity. In fact, it is very tiring. If you can't jump twice, you will be out of breath. You can try it out.

Arrived at the destination on time - the town of Shangri-La, the famous Aden scenic spot is here. This small town is a traffic station for north-south traffic, with a large number of people, and the environment is very messy.

The fifth day (7.14): Daocheng Yading tour.

Daocheng Yading

The place I have been to in my dream will be there today, and the excitement is hard to express. After a whole night of rest and adjustment last night, the high reaction symptoms of the teammates have basically disappeared, but they are still a little tired. I was still worrying about whether I could go to Aden yesterday, but now I am getting excited again.

The Yading Scenic Area is mainly composed of the three holy mountains of Xiannairi, Yangmaiyong, and Shanuoduoji, as well as the alpine meadows and river lakes under the mountains. It is the most complete natural ecosystem preserved in China. Because of its unique landforms and original natural scenery, it is known as "the last piece of pure land on the blue planet".

After entering the scenic spot, I walked quickly for one or two hundred meters with excitement, and I was already out of breath, and I couldn't walk anymore. Only then did I remember the guide’s reminder that when walking at altitudes above 4,200 meters, you have to walk at the speed of an 80-year-old old man, otherwise you will suffer from hypoxia.

Because I really didn't have the courage to go on foot again, I chose to take a battery car (80 yuan/person). When we approached the snow mountain, we felt extremely cold. At this time, the temperature should have been below zero. Although we have taken some precautions, it can only be said that it is futile to compete with the snow mountain. One of the team members couldn't take it anymore by standing outside, so he gave up the tour and went to the rest hall to shelter from the wind and wait for us. The rest of the warriors immediately put on thin raincoats to keep out the cold, and boldly walked towards the snow mountain.

Yangmaiyong Snow Mountain

Yangmaiyong Tibetan means Manjusri Bodhisattva, representing the symbol of wisdom. The off-white ones on the mountain are glaciers, which do not melt all year round. If you are physically able, you can go all the way to the foot of the mountain. According to the speed of walking at high altitudes, it is estimated that we will have to walk back and forth for four to five hours, so we gave up decisively.

Shanuo Dorji

Shanuo Dorje Tibetan means Vajrapani Bodhisattva, which represents the elimination of violence and peace.

After watching the two snow mountains, the temperature of the body has reached freezing point. In the rest hall for tourists, there are radish and beef soup, and almost everyone buys it for one night to keep out the cold. I've also seen this soup. It's actually boiled with tap water and seasonings. It's still sold for 25 yuan a bowl, and the queue is still long.

milk river

The Gongga River, also known as the Milk River, flows the snow water of the snow-capped mountains. The snow water flows repeatedly in the granite gaps on the mountain, and the rock mass components entrained in the water are naturally deposited on the river bed, and the water becomes milky white over time. On both sides of the river are alpine meadows, which store a large amount of water, forming a natural ecological regulation system.

Chonggu Temple

Chonggu Temple means the temple at the source of the river in Tibetan. It is located at the foot of Xiannairi Snow Mountain. It is said that it was built in the Yuan Dynasty. It has a history of more than 800 years. After two fires, it is now a ruined building, leaving only the two-story building behind.

On the way, I saw a kid goat.

Two little squirrels fighting on the side of the road.

Xiannairi

Xiannairi means Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva in Tibetan, which can protect all living beings.

The road leading to Xiannairi Snow Mountain is impassable by car and can only be reached on foot. At such a high altitude, it is extremely difficult to travel on foot. Along the way, I saw too many people retreating, and now it is a great test for everyone's will. In the end, only seven of our team reached the finish line. The distance was several hundred meters long, and we stopped and walked all the way, walking back and forth for almost two hours. I went all the way to the bottom of the foot before turning around and looking up at the sacred mountain at close range.

The river is cold, and tourists pile up mani piles in the water to pray for blessings. You want to talk about how tiring walking on the plateau is. For example, if you squat down to take a photo, you will have to hold on to the railing for tens of seconds when you stand up.

This was the first time in my life that I stood at the foot of the snow mountain at such a close distance. The powerful aura of the snow mountain really shocked me, and I felt as small as an ant. That feeling really cannot be described in any words.

To enter the scenic spot, you need to take a sightseeing bus. The ticket for the scenic spot is 150 yuan/person, the bus for uphill transportation is 120 yuan/person, and the battery car fare in the scenic spot is 80 yuan/person (optional).

The sixth day (7.15): Daocheng - Litang - Mangkang, the mileage is 450 kilometers.

Today’s journey is relatively long. We set off in the direction of Litang early in the morning. When we went out, we saw snow on the top of the mountain. We had the opportunity to experience a different snow scene in summer.

A giant mani pile wrapped in snow.

The top of the mountain is a vast expanse of whiteness, and the wind is so strong that it is estimated that stones can be blown away, so life here is very precious.

The blooming flowers are covered with snow-white coats.

The locals call this plant "One Pillar Supporting the Sky", and it is also strong and unyielding even in such a heavy snow.

Litang

The meaning of Litang Tibetan is that the vast dam is like a bronze mirror. It is 4014.87 meters above sea level, with mountains, canyons, plains, lakes, snow-capped mountains, and a plateau city that integrates various landforms. Litang is also called "the world's highest city" for this reason.

Maoya Prairie

Litang is named after the vast Maoya prairie. It is praised as one of the six most beautiful grasslands in China by "Chinese Geography Magazine", with an area of more than 600 square kilometers. The vast prairie is full of all kinds of wild flowers, which are endless and spectacular.

Get out of the car for fun while driving.

sister lake

The sister lake at the foot of Haizi Mountain is 4,685 meters above sea level and is an important geographical mark on the 318 Sichuan-Tibet Line. Just after crossing the pass of Haizi Mountain, when I turned the corner, I saw the lake in the distance. The two lakes are close to each other like sisters, like two tears of an angel falling on the plateau.

When crossing the Zongla Pass, I met a donkey riding a bicycle and borrowed it to pretend to be cool. It took him 21 days to ride a bicycle from Kunming, Yunnan. He spent most of the day cycling and stayed in youth hostels at night. People with this kind of perseverance are by no means ordinary people. Hats off to them!

In the afternoon and evening, after crossing the Jinsha River Bridge, we arrived at Mangkang, officially entering the border of Tibet. The 318 Sichuan-Tibet Tour will thus open a new chapter.

Markham checkpoint.

The seventh day (7.16): Mangkang - Basu, the mileage is 360 kilometers.

Today's task is to climb three big mountains, Laoshan, Dongdashan, and Yelashan, and cross the Lancang River and Nujiang River.

The convoy set off early in the morning and crossed Mount Lau (4376 meters above sea level).

A herd of goats was in the middle of the road, blocking our way, maybe we violated their territory, and made a little comment to us.

In the middle of the valley, the field of vision is particularly wide, and you can see far away.

We crossed Dongda Mountain around noon, and after we reached the highest point, we got off the car excitedly to take pictures, because this is the first place we reached at an altitude of 5,000 meters during this trip. At this moment, we all hope that we can jump again. A little higher, I took more than a dozen photos, but none of them took off in sync.

It's still simple, let's take a big group photo.

Crossing the famous Yela Pass (4658 meters above sea level), the mountain behind is called "Flame Mountain" by the locals. It may be because there are many red rocks on the mountain from a distance.

Cross the Nu River.

Nu River Seventy-two Turns

The most famous here may be the seventy-two bends. You can drive all the way to the foot of the mountain without refueling.

Tongni Village Rice Terraces

From a long distance, I saw a small village in the canyon. From top to bottom, there is a terraced field scenery, which is golden and green. With the change of light and shadow in the sky, the color of the village is as bright as an oil painting, and it simply exists like a fairyland.

Day 8 (July 17): Basu - Ranwu Yimidui Glacier Yibomi, with a mileage of 220 kilometers.

The weather is great today. We will continue to head west in the morning. Today we will cross the Anjula Mountain (4,475 meters above sea level), cross the Grand Canyon of the Palongzangbo River, visit Midui Glacier on the way, and arrive at Bomi, known as Little Switzerland.

The weather was very good, the car was driving fast, and stopped halfway to point out the direction for everyone.

After climbing over the mountain, we came to an open area, the scenery is beautiful, let's continue to take pictures, group photos are indispensable.

When we were taking photos on the side of the road, a Tibetan child was watching us, so I gave him a photo, and kindly gave him some stationery.

ranwu lake

Ranwu Lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains on three sides, and its formation is actually a barrier lake formed by falling rocks from snow-capped mountains. The water source here is very abundant, and it is also the source of the Palong Zangbo River. The view here is wide and the light is very dazzling.

There are countless mani piles by the lake, one of which is mine. Although it is small and inconspicuous, I also pray for everyone.

Look at these two again, it's a bit too much, just stand up with a stone, and the mani pile will be formed, sincerity will lead to spirit!

Looking back at the riverside, a smile relieves thousands of worries.

Prayer flags by the lake.

Blooming rapeseed, they only bloom here in July.

Palong Zangbo River

In the afternoon, cross the upper reaches of the Palong Zangbo River. At this time, the river has just formed a posture of rushing for thousands of miles after flowing in the canyon.

Palong Zangbo River Canyon

Go down the Palong Zangbo River Canyon, enjoying the strange rocks and blue sky along the way.

Midui Glacier

Midui Glacier is the lowest glacier in China, a typical marine glacier, and its main peak is 6,800 meters above sea level. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that it was under maintenance, so we had to look at it from the outside, although it was close at hand.

The white snow mountain in the middle is Midui Glacier, I can only look forward to seeing you next time.

Pass by the 4,000-kilometer mark on National Highway 318 and take a photo to commemorate it. It also swept away the troubles of the previous high-reflex disease, and found myself again.

Along the way, this pair of temporary partners also had a great time cooperating with each other, just look at how they pose.

The snow-capped mountains outside Bomi City.

Bomi

Arrived in Bomi in the afternoon. The scenery here is very beautiful. The Palong Zangbo River passes through the city. There are snow-capped mountains on all sides. You can see the snow-capped mountains in the distance from any angle in the city. This is called a small "Switzerland", and one can imagine how beautiful the scenery is.

How can such a beautiful place lack a group photo.

Ninth day (7.18): Bomi - Lulang - Nyingchi - Announce Jiangda, with a mileage of 230 kilometers.

Today's journey is not long, but the driving on the way is very difficult. We have to pass through the Tongmai natural danger known as the "Road of Death". The guide asked everyone to get up early in the morning, leaving enough time for the road, and trying not to make any forks.

Admire the beautiful scenery in the morning along the way.

The first ray of sunlight has just hit the face of the snow mountain.

The change of light and shadow creates endless beauty.

Tongmai natural insurance

The 15-kilometer section from Tongmai to Pailong is covered with snow-capped mountains and rivers, and the mountains are loose. When there is heavy rain or melting ice and snow, mudslides and landslides are particularly prone to occur, so it is called the Road of Death. This section of the road is very narrow, the width of the narrowest place can only allow one car to pass, and there are even places where there is no way to turn, and you can only go downhill or uphill in reverse. At the most dangerous corners, each vehicle sends a commander, and the two sides cross-command, let their own cars pass in turn, and then the personnel of other vehicles line up to command, just like a zipper, one for you and one for you. Passage of one car. Our convoy was also stuck in traffic for about 3 hours before being able to pass. It was only later that I learned that yesterday a car lost control and fell off a cliff. A lot of goods were scattered all over the place, and it even crashed into the opposite car, leaving only a road. The cars in front have been blocked for nearly 24 hours. We We were lucky to stand in line for three hours. Those who have never walked before will never feel the thrill of this road, that is, when a person sits in a car and looks down, there is an abyss. After the car fell into the valley, the rescue of the vehicle was basically given up because the conditions did not allow it. I really admire the driving skills of the guides, and I like it.

Lulang Stone Pot Chicken

By the time we arrived at Lulang through Tongmai, it was already past 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and everyone was already hungry. At noon, Lulang's special stone pot chicken was arranged. The taste is indescribably delicious. I still can't forget it until now. I have never eaten food as delicious as it. I won’t say much about the natural ingredients. The guide said that the key is that the stones in this place are very special, and the elements contained are different from those in other places, so stone pots are used for cooking here. I regret not buying a stone pot and making it myself.

Namjagbarwa

In Tibetan, Namjagbarwa means the war grass that pierces the blue sky. The main peak is 7,782 meters above sea level, ranking 15th in the world in height, and is known as the father of icebergs.

When we crossed the Sejila Mountain, the weather was very strong, and the mysterious Namjagbarwa Peak appeared in front of us. Although the time was short, everyone was very excited.

It is also a custom experience to worship in the direction of the mountain.

Sejila Pass (4720 meters above sea level).

The prayer flags all over the mountains have become a unique scenery here.

After admiring the rare Namjagbarwa, head all the way to Nyingchi.

Overlooking Nyingchi City, the Niyang River runs through the entire town.

When we were about to reach our destination, we saw a rainbow in front of us, clearly welcoming us.

At night, I live in the town of Announcement Jiangda by the river. There are not many people in the town. You can meet acquaintances in any restaurant you go to.

The tenth day (July 19): announced Jiangda - Lhasa, 400 km mileage.

Today is the last day on the 318 line, and after climbing a high mountain, we can arrive in Lhasa in the afternoon.

mira p.

After crossing the last mountain - Mira Pass (5013 meters above sea level), the altitude will drop all the way thereafter.

I hope China's stock market can be so bullish.

Taizhao Ancient City

Located on the banks of the Niyang River, Taizhao Ancient City is a small town with a thousand-year history. It is the intersection of the Sichuan-Tibet Ancient Road and the Qinghai-Tibet Ancient Road Middle Road and East Road. It became an important town in the Tang Dynasty, and a post station was established in the Yuan Dynasty. Passing by here is an important sign of arriving in Lhasa.

From a distance, the ancient town looks like a castle, a bit mysterious.

There is an ancient Sichuan-Tibet road along the river in the mountains.

On the way, I met the "little cousin" of the Tibetan mastiff.

Birthplace of Songtsan Gampo

When approaching Lhasa, I passed by Mozhugongka County, which is the birthplace of Songtsan Gampo. He was the true founding king of the Tubo Dynasty, completed the unification of Tibet, and married Princess Wencheng of the Tang Dynasty. Come here for a card.

Five Colors Fragrance Stem

In order to live in a big hotel or a famous hotel, everyone still debated, and finally decided to live in the more distinctive five-color fragrant stem courtyard. This is a B&B converted from an ordinary residence, which is more distinctive. Our group is equivalent to renting out the small courtyard. After checking in, I think it is very worthwhile. Because it has a big yard, it can provide us with meals, playing cards and chatting.

After everything is settled, everyone is ready to go, and can't wait to experience the uniqueness of Sunshine City. The hotel gave every guest a khata, and everyone wore it on their bodies, so that they could experience a unique style of doing as the Romans do.

I took the bus to the city center, all Tibetan-style buildings.

Barkhor Street

Barkhor Street is also called Barkhor Street. This is the old city of Lhasa, where the famous turning road and commercial center are located. Because there is a Jokhang Temple in the middle of Barkhor Street, and there is a turning road around the periphery, Tibetans are used to calling this the Holy Road.

When they reached the finish line, the female team members began to dress up and tie up colorful braids. Can't tie up without long hair? Wrong, look at the one in the middle, the short hair is also showing off.

Jokhang Temple

Jokhang Temple is a Tibetan Buddhist temple built by Songtsen Gampo. It has a history of more than 1,300 years. It is the holy place and center of Tibetan Buddhism. It has a supreme status and is also the most glorious Tubo period building.

There are too many people waiting to visit at the gate, so they have to line up to enter, and only pray and visit outside.

There are countless people praying in the square, and the ground around the temple is full of believers, kowtowing their heads non-stop. To reach such a level of firm belief is to gain insight. Look at these three, in order to show their piety, they found another way to find a place where there is no one and pretend to worship.

Day 11 (7.20): Lhasa - Namtso (220 km)

Today I drove to Nam Co, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet. It took a day to go back and forth. After walking a section of the Qinghai-Tibet line, I could already see the Kunlun Mountains here.

On the way, I saw the train from Qinghai to Tibet. The train called and passed by, and the picture was very beautiful.

Nam Co

Namtso Tibetan means that the lake falls to the ground like a blue sky. Is this a lake or a sea? From a distance, it looks like a lake, but when you see it up close, it looks like a sea. The lake is 4,718 meters above sea level and covers an area of 1,920 square kilometers. It is like a huge mirror, inlaid on the grasslands of northern Tibet. It is the holy lake in Tibet, the second largest saltwater lake in China, and one of the five most beautiful lakes in China! (Ticket 120 yuan)

Because the altitude is too high and the lake is large, the wind by the lake is very strong. Up close it looks like it's by the sea.

ride a yak.

It looks like a lake from a distance.

Only when I arrived in Tibet did I realize that in fact, everyone has a heart that wants to fly, but everyone has different flying postures and different flying heights. Haha, let's see whose pose is the most ecstasy below.
