Guo Wanlu, formerly known as Jianlu, styled Mofo, nicknamed Xiufu Jushi, is now residing in Beijing. He is a professional calligrapher and painter. Born in Wen'an County, Hebei Province in 1972, he is a member of the Chinese Calligraphy Association, a member of the Beijing Dongcheng Calligraphy Association, a national ceremony calligrapher, a member of the Langfang Calligraphy Association, and a director of the Langfang Buddhist Association.
He studied under the famous calligrapher Mr. Liu Junjing. He is currently the dean of Mofo Cottage Painting and Calligraphy Academy. Mr. Sun Boxiang, the dean of the Calligraphy Association, wrote an inscription, and the famous calligraphers Hu Limin, Liu Zhengcheng, and Liu Jingwen wrote an inscription studio plaque! Chen Lifu, a veteran of the Taiwan Kuomintang, wrote an inscription for Mr. Guo Wanlu when he was 100 years old.
He loves all four styles of calligraphy, and also studies mountains, waters, flowers and birds. Xingshu, Caoshu and Lili are the main ones, and Xingshu and Bangshu are the most famous.
