My Journey to Karamay (Part 1)
The motherland is very big, and the Xinjiang of the motherland is even more vast. Last winter, I went to northern Xinjiang with my cousin. After playing for nearly 10 days, I just took the regular route. I saw Tianshan Tianchi, walked to Kanas, and played water-draining. Cheng Bing also met several fellow travelers (ladies and sisters who love to travel). It is rare to have a few days of long vacation this year~ My eyes are set on Xinjiang again, and this time, what I want to see is a different northern Xinjiang—Urho Devil City, so Karamay, here I come! ! !
Since there is no direct flight from Guangzhou to Karamay, I can only choose to fly from Guangzhou to Urumqi, and then enter Karamay by high-speed train. After nearly 7 hours of flight time and more than 3 hours of high-speed rail, I finally checked into a hotel in the city at 10:00 pm. After a hard day, I went to sleep directly after freshening up.
Small suggestion: Since you have to catch the high-speed rail, it is recommended to relax as much as possible, or like me this time, buy the high-speed rail ticket 3 hours after the arrival, and then just a backpack and boarding case, so as to avoid waiting for luggage. If the plane If there is a delay, you can refund the high-speed rail ticket online in advance. Although the handling fee is still deducted, at least try to avoid losses. (The disgust within 1 hour can be ignored) If there is no suitable high-speed rail, then choose to stay in an express hotel near the high-speed rail station for one night.
The biggest destination of this trip to Karamay is Devil City, so I arranged the itinerary for this scenic spot on the second day of arrival, and today I plan to walk around the city, and then eat local delicacies to recharge my batteries for a day.
D1 Itinerary: Black Oil Mountain - Karamay Exhibition Hall - Big Oil Pao - North Courtyard - Joy Coffee
Woke up early in the morning, had breakfast casually near the hotel, and then took a taxi directly to Heiyou Mountain Scenic Area. The scenic spot is not far from the urban area, and it is only a 10-minute drive from my hotel. When you arrive at the scenic spot, you need a green code and complete masks, and the ticket is 40 yuan. After entering the scenic spot, there is a plank road, just walk along the road. The small oil marshes along the way, the oil springs are still bubbling from time to time, which is very magical.
Popular science: Heiyou Mountain is not a mountain, but a group of asphalt mounds formed by the overflow of crude oil for many years. The largest one is 13 meters high and covers an area of 0.2 square kilometers. The oil is precious low-condensation oil. There are popular science display boards on both sides of the plank road, telling you about crude oil. There is a big 1955 at the door, which is the year when Karamay produced oil, and the first large oil field in New China was discovered here.
The scenic spots are relatively single, and I just swam for more than half an hour before heading back. Finally, I bought some small souvenirs such as refrigerator magnets and postcards in the service area of the scenic spot, and ended the tour at this stop. (The service area is very cute, in the shape of oil barrels)
The next stop is the Karamay Exhibition Hall. Originally, this exhibition hall was not in my original plan, but when the taxi driver brother chatted with me when I came here, he suggested that I could choose to visit the exhibition hall at the next stop, so as to understand the whole system systematically. City. The distance between the two scenic spots is not far, about 20 minutes on foot.
The exhibition hall does not require tickets and is divided into inner halls and outer halls. The inner part mainly introduces the history of the development of Karamay Oilfield. Every time you enter an exhibition hall, you will know more about the city. The outer hall shows the offices and cellars in the early stage of oilfield development. When I came here, I have to sigh how hard the mining conditions were, and the living and working conditions of the workers were so difficult, and I felt admiration spontaneously.
Look at the time is still early, the Internet celebrity check-in place that I planned to go to in the afternoon-Ke No. 1 Well, was moved ahead of time. Take a taxi again, it is also close to the exhibition hall, and you will arrive at your destination in less than ten minutes. As soon as I got out of the car, I was so cute. A giant oil bubble like the one I just saw in Heiyou Mountain came into my eyes. When I walked in and took a look, it reminded me of the famous Cloud Gate in Millennium Park in Chicago, commonly known as "Big Bean". , there is a similar effect, but there are a lot of bubbles in Karamay~ Taking pictures of the bubbles, the distorted image is also very interesting and funny.
At lunch time, of course, I couldn’t just let it go, I found a restaurant with countless praises—Beiyuanzi, and ate authentic Xinjiang cuisine. The restaurant feels very retro, with colorful glazed headlights, and the overall decoration has a bit of European style, with a bit of ethnic style, which makes people's eyes shine. There is also a big stage in the middle of the restaurant. During the meal, you will see some folk song and dance performances with unique local characteristics. Since there is only one person, the order is not many. A roast leg of lamb, a bowl of cold chicken mushroom noodles, and a fresh fruit yogurt cup are enough.
After eating and drinking enough, I fell asleep. Hahaha, full of warmth and lust, it’s not bad to have a cup of coffee and read a book at this moment. After all, I’m here for travel, and going back to the hotel to sleep is a waste of a rare journey. I found a good coffee shop on Ctrip. It is less than 2 kilometers away from the restaurant, and it takes about 20 minutes to walk there. It just happens to take a walk after dinner.
Café uses red and white as the theme color, which is very eye-catching. Pushing the door open, you will be greeted by the strong aroma of coffee and the lazy jazz music. It seems that I have come to the right place! The decoration of the store is in a retro style, which is quite unique, fresh and refined in Karamay. I ordered a latte and a tiramisu (my cafe comes standard, hahahaha), found a small corner, and quietly enjoyed the lazy time in the afternoon.
Summary: Today is a relatively easy day. Karamay is not too hot. It is only about 30 degrees in June, but it is relatively dry, with strong ultraviolet rays and a large temperature difference between day and night. It is best to wear a coat when you go out while paying attention to sun protection and moisturizing.
D2: Wuerhe Film and Television City-Baiyang River Canyon Scenic Area-Devil City
Today's itinerary is a private one-day tour booked online in advance. I came to the designated place early to gather. In addition to the driver, there are also a couple and a young lady. I heard the driver and tour guide from the city. It takes more than an hour to reach the film and television city, without stopping halfway, and after a short rest, we set off with a group of 5 people.
The first stop: Wuerhe Film and Television City. When I came here, I heard the introduction from my little brother. The film and television drama "The Great Qin Empire" was filmed here. Tickets are required, because it is included in the one-day tour fee, so I really didn't pay attention to it. Of course, after going in, you have to pay for the game items such as dressing up and archery. The ancient city walls, small shops on the street, ancient weapons, etc. all make people feel as if they have traveled to an ancient costume TV series, which feels fresh and wonderful. After playing for about an hour, we set off again.
The second stop: Baiyanghe Canyon Scenic Area, the whole piece of wild Populus euphratica forest is quite shocking~ Unfortunately, the timing is not right, the golden Populus euphratica is the most charming time in September and October.
The third stop: World Devil City, which is also what I am most looking forward to~ The tour guide bought a package ticket for us, tickets + small train, it seems to be more than 60 yuan, because the tour guide said that the most worth looking forward to is the sunset, so we agreed on a good time , they disbanded and played separately. It is a very typical Yadan landscape. It is said that many film and television dramas were filmed here, including the famous "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", in which Zhang Ziyi and Zhang Zhen chased each other on camels in the wilderness. The small sightseeing train has a total of 5 stops, and there are audio explanations on the car. You can find all the scenic spots such as "Sphinx", "Tiananmen", "Guilin Landscape" one by one. It's amazing, the god of nature The high-level engraving and the naming of the image make the whole process not so boring.
Tip: The small train stops for 10 minutes at each station. If you miss it, there will be the next train. However, it is recommended to follow the train. After all, the whole journey takes 3 hours, and the scenery along the way is similar. Just choose the last point to take pictures.
At sunset, all the tourists waited with bated breath. When the sun slowly fell to the horizon, the entire Yadan landform was orange-red in the afterglow of the setting sun. I found a commanding height and looked around. The land is vast and the scenery is beautiful. At this moment I can only take more photos and videos to keep this shocking moment.
Back at the meeting point, it was already dark, and our group set foot on the way home.
Tips: This day’s itinerary is still quite full. Lunch and dinner are basically eaten with dry food. Be sure to protect yourself from the sun. There are basically no places with shade. Before entering the scenic spot, you must first talk to the Devil City Take a group photo with the devil's eyes at the gate, because it may be dark after coming out~
