If it weren't for the epidemic, I would probably travel on May 1st and summer vacation this year. In the end, it was not until this year's National Day that the first self-driving tour started. The destination is set in Guiyang, mainly because of Xiaoqikong. In addition, Huangguoshu Waterfall is also a big driving force for me to go.
About car rental:
I booked a Lingpai on the eHi car rental app one month in advance, and when I arrived at Longdongbao Airport, I went directly to the eHi store in the parking lot on the first floor to pick up the car. It was really convenient. Yihi should be the most popular car rental brand for young people. There are many models and cheap prices, and it is very friendly to the student party. The point is that the cars are also very new, all new within two years, and they are easy to drive. If four people come out to play together, the average person will be able to get it done in about 30 to 40 a day.
This is the small blowhole scenic spot we saw. The reality is even more beautiful than the pictures. The river water is emerald green, just like emerald, and the vegetation is rich and dense, which is very good.
Preparation
We brought our own plastic shoe covers, raincoats and umbrellas. When you come to Guizhou, you must watch the water. In order to prevent your shoes from getting wet, you decisively brought shoe covers. Bring your own umbrella because you are worried that it will rain these days. If it does rain, an umbrella will help a lot.
We arrived in Guiyang at around 10:00 a.m., completed the car rental procedures, and drove directly to Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. The scenic spot is relatively far from the city center, and it could have been arranged on the second or third day, but we were very curious about how beautiful Xiaoqikong is, so we came early.
I saw a young lady standing on the shore from a distance, it was really beautiful.
The trees on the mountain stand upright, and they look a bit like stalactites in the cave from a distance. The water is so clear that you can see the underwater world. In some places, there are still dead trees sinking in the water, which adds a lot of beauty.
Wolongtan in the scenic spot is a relatively small and dense waterfall. The water flow is very clear, white, pouring down. Before and after Wolongtan are two completely different worlds.
The sixty-eight-level drop waterfall is also a very good attraction. There are many small waterfalls, pouring down level by level, which looks very coherent and beautiful.
The ancient bridge of Xiaoqikong is also my favorite. There are tree roots piercing through the bridge wall, and some weeds and moss have grown, which are green in a hurry. There is a wooden boat next to it, which has been staying by the river, and there is an urge to get on the boat.
The reason why the water in Xiaoqikong is blue-green is because it is a karst landform. There are a lot of magnesium ions in it, and it can absorb light of many colors, leaving blue and green light reflected into the human eye, so the scenery we see becomes like this.
Huangguoshu Waterfall
We returned to the city that evening. When returning along the road, I saw a lot of terraced fields. I didn’t get out of the car to take pictures, but just took some pictures on the highway. In the evening, I ate in the urban area of Guiyang.
The next day we went to Huangguoshu Waterfall. The Huangguoshu Waterfall is particularly large, and my favorite is the Silver Pendant Waterfall. The landscape is very grand, and the sound of the waterfall pouring down the valley can be heard from a distance.
If you want to see the waterfall, you still have to come to Huangguoshu Waterfall. Looking from a distance, the water flow of the waterfall is still very clear, but in fact the water here is relatively yellow.
The waterfall splashes and the sun shines, like a string of pearls.
Huangguoshu Waterfall is very interesting, but there are also some challenging places. For example, some places are so narrow that it is almost necessary for a person to pass sideways. Tianxing Bridge is one of my favorite scenic spots. You can touch the water by stretching your feet a little.
If you want to be more relaxed, you can enter and exit from the wisteria entrance, and there are relatively few roads to go up and down here. We came out of the bonsai mouth, and the whole process was really tiring.
Qingyan Ancient Town
Qingyan Ancient Town is an ancient town that I am very interested in. This ancient town is very famous in China. The villages in the ancient town are well arranged. All kinds of trees, plants climbed onto the walls. Therefore, the buildings are all hidden in the plants, which are full of vitality and look a little dilapidated.
This is a snack eaten in Qingyan Ancient Town. The ice cream tastes good. Some can't remember their names. However, the ancient town is too small, and there are limited places to eat, so there are more things to eat in the urban area.
It took about two hours to stroll around Qingyan Ancient Town. Originally, I wanted to find a handicraft that I liked very much as a souvenir, but unfortunately I haven't found one I like. I watched Farewell My Concubine in the ancient town. I just watched the movie and don't know much about opera.
In the evening, I visited Jiaxiu Tower. The night view of Jiaxiu Tower is very beautiful. You can find a restaurant nearby to eat, leaning against the window and looking at Jiaxiu Tower, it is much cleaner than in the square.
After visiting Jiaxiu Tower, we also went to the Little White House. It's really like a palace. It looks luxurious from a distance. It is said that this is a private residence, which is too high-end.
Eating, drinking and drinking, all kinds of delicacies in Guiyang
There are many snacks eaten in Guiyang. I did all the puzzles. Here is a silk doll, which tastes good. That is, many, many dishes are added to the burritos. Fried glutinous rice balls with sauerkraut are also delicious.
This is eating mutton noodles and Lingtou mutton rice noodles in a restaurant. The portion is generous, and the mutton in it is also a large slice. Very satisfying to eat.
I have been to Qingyun Road Night Market and Ershiqi Road Snack Street, but my favorite is Erqilu Road Snack Street. There are small stalls one by one, and there are all kinds of delicacies. Snack Street is open from 11 am until late at night. In order to eat more, I ate very little in the morning, and ate all the way here at night. But in fact, the stomach is still too small, and I haven't eaten a lot.
I ate roasted brain flowers, stinky tofu, ice powder, skewers and so on. All delicious. You can choose fewer snacks in this kind of small stalls and visit a few more. You can taste a lot of things for 30 yuan.
I ate coarse noodles in Guiyang. Many people say that the Huaxi rice noodles are delicious, but the rice noodles I ate were really average. I ate half a portion and found it hard to swallow.
Later, I found a restaurant and ate fine powder, which was delicious. Dried chilies are added to the soup, and the soup is also very enjoyable. We ate several fine powders, each with a slightly different taste.
chili sauce. Very enjoyable. We bought two bottles to take home, and put a little in it when cooking, which is very enjoyable. Because it's all chili, it's really spicy. We only put a little bit when cooking in our family.
This is a shop for silk dolls. In addition to silk dolls, this kind of shop generally also has many local specialty snacks. I think the silk baby is okay, but it is troublesome to eat, and the vegetable soup will always be exposed in the hand.
The other dishes in the store are good. The point is, this restaurant uses small meals, the price is not expensive, and you can try a few more, which is very good. The four of us ate here for a total of 70 yuan.
