As early as those years when we were studying, we all heard a very pleasant golden song called "Night on the Lancang River" and "Golden Peacock and Phoenix-tailed Bamboo". Whenever I hear these pieces played by minority musical instruments, it always gives people an infinitely beautiful reverie. I always wanted to work hard and save money to see the distant but beautiful Lancang River when I grew up, but I didn’t expect to come here as I wished. This is Lancang River Night!
The Lancang River flows through six countries in Southeast Asia including China, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam, and is the last stop in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, my country. The Xishuangbanna section of the Lancang River is the most convenient choice for foreign tourists to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Lancang River. Therefore, I chose the night to enjoy the night of the Lancang River.
The urban framework of Xishuangbanna is built on both sides of the Lancang River. The north bank of the river is a tourist and vacation-oriented area, while the south bank of the river is the downtown area of Xishuangbanna. Whether you are in the south of the river or the north of the river, you can enjoy the exciting beauty of the Lancang River.
Xishuangjing Gaozhuang is a relatively distinctive tropical tourist area in Xishuangbanna City, relying on the Lancang River to build a tourist resort city on the border of the southern country. The beauty of the Lancang River at night is so unbelievable, it’s like entering a peaceful and beautiful place with no worries, so I have to describe it with peerless scenery!
In China, this river is called the Lancang River, but in Southeast Asian countries, it is called the Mekong River. It does not matter whether it is called the Lancang River or the Mekong River. Xishuangbanna borders Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam in Southeast Asia, so the buildings here are very similar to these countries, and because the six Southeast Asian countries have frequent exchanges, the living customs and architectural styles are basically the same, so coming to Xishuangbanna is like coming to a Southeast Asian country. Very exotic.
Stationary ships and running ships create different pictures, and the two different styles of pictures are only due to the stillness and movement of the ships. The pictures of the two styles are full of the beauty of the southern border. I like the scenery of the two different pictures, because such scenery is rarely seen in China, so I like them both.
