Ningxia 3-day tour (1) - Shahu Lake (July 2004)
This is the second time for me to go to Ningxia, mainly to accompany my husband and son, and to make up for the regrets I left in Yinchuan last time. I went to Yinchuan twice a month, but I didn't feel like I would visit Yinchuan repeatedly. The beautiful place will give you different feelings every time. From Beijing to Yinchuan, we took K177, departing from Beijing West Railway Station at 1:40 noon, and arriving in Yinchuan at 8:40 the next morning.
Now is the tourist season, so the room has to be booked in advance. After the stay, the tour guide we contacted in advance will come. Our first stop is the famous Shahu tourist area in recent years.
Entering the gate of Shahu Park, you will see the clear and mirror-like lake in front of your eyes. In the blue waves of the lake in the distance, there are clumps, clusters, and patches of green reeds. They were still green when they came last month. , but now they grow tall and straight, and some have spit out ears. Entering the lake by cruise ship, the boat is passing through the reeds, and the ship's side passes through the large clusters of reeds from time to time, making a rattling sound. The reeds grow really well, they hug each other tightly, so they can be so strong and straight, even in the wind and waves, they will not fall down. The yacht passed by, and the reeds swayed with the waves, like a beautiful girl in a green dress dancing. Sometimes the waves of the boat startled the birds in the reeds, and they twittered and spread their wings and flew into the air. It was still cloudy and rainy when we came out of Yinchuan, but when we got on the boat, the weather began to clear up. Looking around, the Helan Mountains on the other side of the lake are undulating, and they are even more majestic under the blue sky and white clouds. The mountains are blue and purple, and the water is green and dark green. The beautiful reeds and white waterfowls outline the beautiful scenery of the south of the Yangtze River. No wonder it has the reputation of being the top of the south of the Yangtze River.
Those who have been to Baiyangdian must know the fun of the boat passing through the reeds, and the boat appears and disappears in it. The guerrillas used this terrain to deal with the Japanese devils. The reeds here are greener, denser and deeper than the reeds in Baiyangdian Lake, and they sway with the wind, which is extremely beautiful. When you are still immersed in the beautiful scenery of Ludang, there are golden sand mountains in front of you. There is another scene there, 5000 acres of sand dunes, rolling, and the camels carrying tourists are slowly moving forward on the sandy land. The boldness and roughness of the desert sands and the tranquility and beauty of the blue lake and reeds are so ingeniously combined to become Helan Mountain. The beautiful scenic spot at the foot can not but be said to be a miracle of nature.
When your boat docks, you land on the sandy island by the lake. The sand dunes are not too high, and it is really pleasant to step on the fine sand with bare feet. It’s not bad to ride a camel once and enjoy the service of the desert boat camel for you. The camel is very docile. It lies on the ground and lets you ride on it. But when it stands up, you have to stand on its hind legs first. At this time, you should lean your body as far as possible and hold on to the mane on its hump, otherwise the camel will tear you down. When you fall down, once the camel stands up, it will walk smoothly, not bumpy like riding a horse at all. When you ride on the camel with your head held high, you can see the beautiful sandy lake, golden sandy beach, and row. A team of camels form a beautiful picture in front of you. When coming down, lean back in the same way, this time the camel bends its front legs first.
There are many entertainment items on the sand mountain, all of which are not dangerous. Sand skiing, grass skiing, slide down quickly by zipline, you can go straight to the sand sculpture garden without detours. The zip line is not too high, but it is good to slide down at high speed, with the wind whistling in your ears, and within a few seconds, you are already standing under the sand mountain. I haven't seen sand sculptures before, but I still feel quite spectacular after seeing them. The largest ones are Qin Shihuang and the Great Wall, plus some terracotta warriors and horses. The charm, scale, and delicacy make you unable to imagine how they were carved out of sand. There are Egyptian pyramids and Sphinx, the famous Sphinx; there are temples in Athens and Zeus; the heads of the four American presidents Washington, Jefferson, Roosevelt and Lincoln (the prototype is an American carving in South Dakota The statue on the 1820-meter-high granite of Mount Rushmore in the western part of the state is said to have been carved for more than ten years. The head is 18 meters high. The project is very huge. It should have been accomplished in a few months.) Huge and charming; there are also fairy tales and so on.
In short, it is great to imitate some famous sculptures with sand. It also gives people artistic enjoyment, and it also allows you to see sculptures that you cannot see. Sand sculptures can be carved with the same size as the real ones. The scale is large and the cost is low. It is really rare. sculpture garden. If you have time, you can play in detail, standing among the golden sand, clear water, blue sky and white clouds, watching the sunrise on the reeds in the morning, listening to the camel bells in the evening, boating in the blue lake, swimming in the water, and playing in the sandy mountains. enjoyment.
To Ningxia, the sand lake landscape should be the first choice. It is only more than an hour's drive from Yinchuan, which is quite convenient.
