1. Haggis: If you don’t eat haggis in Ningxia, it’s basically for nothing. Ningxia's haggis can be said to be the most fragrant in the country. Locals in Ningxia would say that Wuzhong Duyousu Haggis is delicious, but it’s really not good. Most of the best haggis shops are now concentrated in Yinchuan’s Zhongshan Street, Yinhe Lane. The vocational high haggis, Najiahu haggis, and Majia haggis basically represent the pinnacle of Ningxia haggis. Of course, in addition to these restaurants, there is also the old Zhang’s Haggis in Nanmen Nanqiao, Yinchuan, which is also a bully (only sells breakfast). The old lady of Nanmen Lao Mian’s family was the pinnacle of Ningxia Haggis, but unfortunately, people have gone. The craftsmanship of future generations has also fallen!

Of course, the most delicious Liangpi is from Dawukou, but it’s far away, and it’s not worth driving there. The Dawukou Liangpi franchise store in Yinchuan is fine.

5. Cold beef in Wuzhong City Ramen Restaurant: To be honest, as far as the ramen itself is concerned, the ones in Wuzhong City, Ningxia are far worse than those in Lanzhou City, Gansu. But if you want to say which beef is delicious, then the cold beef in the popular ramen restaurants in Wuzhong City, Ningxia is much better than that in Lanzhou. It is really a must! If you pass by Wuzhong City, you must find a ramen restaurant with good business to eat their cold beef. For example, Chenzi Noodle Restaurant at the intersection of Wuzhong Expressway (ramen noodles, spicy dry fried noodles are good, and key meat is also available), Suzi Ramen, and Heji Ramen are all good.
Others include stewed native chicken in Zhongning Zaoyuan, Guyuan lamb head, and Longde hot pot. Because of the inconvenient transportation, there is still a gap between Ningxia stewed native chicken and chicken stewed mushrooms in Northeast China.
3. Important attractions (must-see attractions, if you don’t go, you have never been to Ningxia)
(1) Shapotou: Shapotou tourist area is located 16 kilometers west of Zhongwei City, Ningxia. .). Shapotou gathers Shenshan, desert, Yellow River, oasis, and grassland in one place. Its breathtaking beauty lies in the fantasy and magnificence of the romantic sand sea, and the chivalrous tenderness of the rushing river. Therefore, you must go to Shapotou in Ningxia. If you don’t go, it’s like you didn’t go to the Badaling Great Wall and the Forbidden City in Beijing, you didn’t go to Shennongjia in Hubei, you didn’t go to Zhangjiajie in Hunan, and you didn’t go to Jiuzhaigou in Sichuan.
(2) Beibao Western Film and Television City, Yinchuan Town, Ningxia: Chinese films have gone to the world from Zhenbeibao Film and Television City. Primitive, rough, desolate, and folk-oriented, the main attractions are composed of redundant film and television shooting landscapes such as Ming City, Qing City, and Old Yinchuan Street, with a very distinctive ancient town style. Generally speaking, as long as there is enough time, the western film and television city in Zhenbeibao must be visited, it is very unique. After all, it is the base of several well-known film and television cities across the country.
(3) Sand Lake: Sand Lake has long been listed as one of the 35 ace scenic spots in the country. With natural landscape as the main body, the organic combination of sand, water, reeds, birds and mountains constitutes a unique and beautiful landscape. , is a "Pearl on the Fortress" that combines the beauty of the south of the Yangtze River with the magnificent scenery outside the Great Wall. It has the majesty of the Gobi Desert and the beauty of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River. It would be a pity not to go there.
The above 3 are the must-see attractions in Ningxia. If you don't have enough time and only have one and a half days or even one day, I suggest that you must go to Shapotou and Film and Television City. The most important point: Do not go to Shapotou before going to Shapotou, you must go to Shapotou first and then go to Shapotou. It's like Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong. First Huanglong and then Jiuzhai, you will think that both places are good. If you first go to Jiuzhaigou and then Huanglong, you think Huanglong is not worth going at all.
In addition to the above three scenic spots, a series of other scenic spots such as the Tombs of the Western Xia Dynasty, Helanshan Rock Paintings, Liupanshan Forest Park, Suyukou Forest Park, etc., are not recommended due to their small audience or similarities with other parts of the country.
4. Tour route
(1) After arriving in Yinchuan on the first day, as long as it is not dark, it is recommended to go to the Western Film and Television City first, because it is very close to Yinchuan, and it will take about 2 hours to complete the tour. Then go back to Yinchuan to have dinner and stay at the hotel (Mai Zaihuo, let’s have dinner and then find a cheap hotel nearby).
(2) Early the next morning, after eating the special snacks (find above), drive to Shahu Lake for fun. It is recommended to bring some food and drink to eat in the scenic spot. After coming out of Shahu, drive directly to Wuzhong City to eat delicious food (Guoqiang grabs or Xiaoye grabs dinner, then drives directly to Zhongwei to stay after dinner, the whole journey takes about two hours). Remarks: Southerners must not eat the Shahu Big Fish Head at the entrance of the Shahu Scenic Area. It is impossible to do better than your local ones.
