The best time to travel to Qinghai Lake is July-August, but the crowds in the peak season will destroy the essence of the beauty. So I chose to travel to Qinghai Lake in the off-season to see the different Qinghai Lake in winter. The beauty here is worthy of the name... worthy of the reputation of "the south of the Yangtze River".

Guangzhou-Fly-Yinchuan

journey:

Day1: Yinchuan (1 day)

*Western Studios (half day)

It combines the local hills and desert landforms of Yinchuan, which is very distinctive. There are also three parks in it, Qingcheng, Mingcheng, and (the old Yinchuan street) a city in the 1970s. Many TV dramas and movies have been filmed here, and you can trace the remnants of the love story between Zhizunbao and Fairy Zixia in Journey to the West.

Nanguan Grand Mosque (not recommended, commercialized, still small)

*Huaiyuan Night Market

(Treat yourself for a day of fun.

All kinds of northwest snacks, I really want to eat them, I really want to be a big eater, don't have a wide eyes and a narrow belly.

MT.F palace beef pie, there are a lot of people queuing up, and it has also been on TV shows. It is delicious and cheap.

Spicy paste, fried noodles, beef ramen, grilled cold noodles, grilled lamb...all good~)

Day2: Zhongwei (Train 2.5h) (2 days)

* Tengger Desert (desert people)

*Crescent Spring (Yiwang Qingquan) is super beautiful, although the lake is frozen.

* Off-road surfing, karting, off-road motorcycles, camel riding, sand boarding, it's super exciting to slide down a super trembling high slope! All add up to a set ticket of ¥260! The chartered car was ¥60 for the past day, and I had a good time? I think it’s worth it

I went to Tonghu Grassland. In winter, there is no grass and it is not beautiful, so I took a car tour.

It's almost 4 o'clock, and the park will close at 5 o'clock in Shapotou. We didn't go into Shapotou, the project is too expensive (except for the Yellow River bungee jumping project, just like Tengger)

For dinner, go to Spicy Factor (Zhongwei), the authentic northwest hot pot recommended by the locals. It is especially good to eat sheep, beef, and fish~ Mutton hot pot, let’s get excited~

*The night view near Gulou Street is super beautiful!

Day3:

*Gao Miao Baoan Temple

(Super beautiful, as if walking into the Forbidden City~

This place is so beautiful that it is a landscape painting. How wise the local government is for the protection and maintenance of historical buildings~)

Xiangshan Park (suitable for summer and autumn)

Shopping and eating near the Drum Tower

Day4:

Take the night sleeper train to Xining (9h)

* Kumbum Monastery (built on the mountain, a large Tibetan temple building)

Riyue Mountain (closed in winter, very cold, and the snow-white peaks in the distance are beautiful)

Qinghai Lake (the lake surface is frozen, the sky is full of snow)

Live in Chaka Town

Day5:

*Chaka Salt Lake (look at the sun to appreciate the face, the weather is good to see the scenery, the salt lake without the sun is a stinky ditch)

Jinsha Bay (a relatively dirty desert with a lot of garbage, not as good as Zhongwei Tengger Desert)

The ancient city of Dangar (commercialization is serious, the overall building does not retain the ancient style, and it has been destroyed by the locals, not recommended)

Back to hotel in Xining city

*Geometry Bookstore (big bookstore full of artistic atmosphere)

Day6:

*Qinghai Provincial Museum (visit the sea Tibetan culture, which is diverse and colorful.)

*Sisyphus Bookstore & Vector Coffee (very close to the museum, European-style minimalist bookstore, worth checking in)

Go home to Xining Airport
