Day 1 Shenzhen to Kunming

The second day Jiyi Town
When I got up early in the morning, the fog became thicker. The weather forecast indicated that the fog would continue, but I was unwilling to do so. I drove into the mountains, but the visual distance was no more than 10 meters, and I couldn’t see anything.
Decided to go to Jiyi to see the Great Rift Valley. The weather along the way is good and bad, and the terraced fields are continuous.

About 20 kilometers away from Jiyi Town, the whole road construction began. The road surface was completely dug, the red mud was churning, and the car staggered forward in the mud. It was already past 5 pm when we arrived in the town.

In the evening, the shopkeeper sent blankets and slippers by remote control, but the shopkeeper never showed up. Jiyi Town is not big, two streets run parallel, and there are not many restaurants to choose from. At the intersection of entering the town, there is a magnificent restaurant on the second floor. I remember it is called Guanfuyuan Restaurant. Seeing many locals go in to eat, we went up the stone steps and ordered a bunch of ingredients like the locals. Day 3 Jiyi Great Rift Valley
You can go to the Great Rift Valley a few kilometers from Jiyi Town. The scenic spot has not yet charged, only 10 yuan per person for cleaning.
Entering the scenic area, walking down the mountain road, and gradually approaching the bottom of the canyon, you can see that the mountain is naturally split, forming a cliff of nearly 90°. It feels impossible to reach the opposite side, but there is a natural bridge connecting it. Due to the need for communication between the villages on both sides, the ancients dug stone ladders from both sides of the canyon down to the Tiansheng Bridge, connecting them to form an ancient road. Our tour route is this ancient road that is just a few kilometers long, and it takes more than one hour to visit the whole journey.
I planned to go to Shuicheng River when visiting the Jiyi Rift Valley. Unexpectedly, this road was even more difficult. The clay made the car skid continuously, and it was already sunset when we arrived at the Shuicheng River Scenic Area without any danger. There was a billboard for the Zhu Family Courtyard at the entrance of the village, so we went to stay there.

Day 4 Shuicheng River Chengjiang

The driver and tour guide first took us to the Wuding Danxia Secret Realm Shuicheng River & Hulu Cave. The peculiarity of the Shuicheng River is that the wide water surface flows shallowly on the flat and hard river bed, and the vegetation on both sides of the river bed The dense forest, accompanied by several different types of waterfalls, is an ideal holy place for travel friends to camp.
Walking along the small road in the valley, turn a few turns and you will arrive at the gourd cave. After climbing more than 20 meters, you can reach the entrance of the cave. This is a huge open red sandstone cave. It seems that a gourd has been cut out in the middle. The huge cave wall Under the washing of running water, it looks like a mural. This is the most representative landscape of the local Danxia landform.

Today's itinerary is relatively easy. In the morning, I wandered around Fuxian Lake aimlessly.
Passing by Xiaoman Bookstore, hidden in the Vanke sales center, it turned out to be an Internet celebrity check-in point. The salesperson asked if we needed an explanation and then generously let us go freely. The environment here is quiet and the sculptures are novel and avant-garde. Raise your eyes from a desk, and experience the pure beauty of Fuxian Lake quietly.
Lunch is at the Niba Restaurant in the Old Town of Chengjiang. This is definitely the place where the locals eat. It is delicious, plentiful and cheap. Day 6 Mengzi
Strolling to Mengzi, Mengzi is one of the earliest 24 thousand-year-old counties in Yunnan. It was the largest port of foreign trade in Yunnan Province in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. The first post office, the first foreign bank, the first private railway, the first foreign-funded enterprise, the first consulate in Yunnan, the first thermal power station and many other firsts were born here.
French-style buildings abound, the small streets and alleys are full of exotic flavors, and even the style of street cafes is beyond our perception. The old-fashioned bicycle exclusive shop owner, the clerk even showed us a video of the shop owner riding a bicycle.
On the side of the coffee shop is the museum of Southwest Associated University. In 1938, the Faculty of Arts and Law of Southwest Associated University moved here. The museum completely records this unusual history.
Bisezhai is located in the center of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway. When it opened to traffic in 1909, Bisezhai was the first first-class station.

Day 9 Jianshui

Jianshui Chaoyang Gate can be called the "prototype" of Tiananmen Square in Beijing. It was originally the east gate of Jianshui City in the Ming Dynasty, and it was expanded by adding bricks from the remaining Nanzhao Tucheng. Chaoyang Gate, also known as Yinghui Gate, has a triple eaves and gable roof. After wars and earthquakes, it has been rebuilt seven times and has been preserved to this day. It is a well-deserved landmark building in Jianshui City.
Outside the city gate there is an ancient well called Daban Well, also known as Pubo Spring, which is located outside the west gate of Jianshui Ancient City. Day 11 Nuogang
Since Xishuangbanna has been closed, the southernmost point of this itinerary can only go to Nuogang Old Village in Jingmai Mountain, Lancang County.
On both sides of the road are tea forests and primary tea processing factories. The source of Pu’er tea is here. Those familiar tea names, such as Laobanzhang, Wuliang Mountain, and Iceland, are all place names nearby.
