Haidao, a resounding and imposing name, is a new scenic spot that has become popular in Hami City, Xinjiang in recent years. Because of its geographical characteristics such as the vast Gobi desert and the Yadan group dominating the desert, it is favored by many tourism, adventure and photography enthusiasts inside and outside Xinjiang.

Haidao Road is named after it is located in the vast Gobi desert no-man's land. It is located in the depths of the Gobi 200 kilometers west of Yizhou City, Hami City. It is an ancient road between Dunhuang-Hami-Turpan on the Silk Road.

There is very little precipitation in the sea channel, the climate is extremely arid, and there are desert scenes everywhere. For thousands of years, wind erosion and mountain torrent erosion have formed a vast Yadan landform. Walking into the scenic spot, you can see various and majestic Yadan landforms standing in the Gobi Desert, some of which look like castles, some of which look like pagodas, and some of which look like mountains...it looks very spectacular.

Today, the empty desert and the peculiar Yardang are well-known far and near, and have become the ideal and yearning place for many adventure and photography lovers across the country. From 2016 to 2018, I went there three times in admiration to appreciate and enjoy its roughness, vastness, peculiarity, magnificence and sinisterness. (Pan Jingzhong, author of Jinmen.com)
