★Travel location: Pingyuan Ancient Town, Zhijin County, Bijie, Guizhou

Although the reputation of Zhijin Cave is great, except for the Baili Rhododendron in Bijie, which is a little closer, other scenic spots are still quite far from Zhijin. We still have a little time, and we don't want to waste it. We asked the hotel waiter and taxi driver, and it seems that apart from Pingyuan Ancient Town, we really can't find any other places to visit. We checked the map. Not to mention, the ancient town is not far from the bus station and train station. According to the time budget, we can go for a round before heading to the next itinerary.

There is a large archway at the entrance of Pingyuan Ancient Town, but it looks very new, probably because the ancient town was newly built, and we suddenly lost interest. However, when I walked in, I found the scenery of lakes and mountains. Although the mountains on the side are very short, they are also very typical karst landforms, and there is a natural cave. Although there are no man-made scenic spots, it looks simple and natural. We only found out after turning around that there is no bridge leading to the main building of the ancient town, and we need to take a scenic bus. It seems that we did not find the right place. However, looking across the lake, you can still see the houses with white walls and white walls built along the water, as if you have come to Zeguo, a water town in the south of the Yangtze River.

After turning a circle, we arrived at the gate of the ancient town. Volunteers were guiding tourists to pay attention to the official account, and then make an appointment to enter the park. There is no need to purchase additional tickets. I asked, and it turned out that this ancient town was newly built, and the construction was generally completed, and there were still some finishing work that had not been completed.

Zhijin used to be called Pingyuan, and it should have been the county center of Zhijin in history. In the Neo-Paleolithic Age, Zhijin was inhabited by primitive people, who were called Liao, Pu, and Pu in historical books, which are today's Gelao and Buyi. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the northern part of Zhijin was also within the range of the Yelang Kingdom, the southern part was the Zangcang Kingdom, and the central part was the traditional residence of the Barui tribe, the Gelao barbarian king. Although Zhijin was divided into three parts, for the feudal dynasty of the Central Plains, it was only "Southern Yi". In the Tang Dynasty, Puliqu was granted the title of King of Dian, and was soon renamed King of Puning County. Later, it went through Luoshigui Country and Bina Country. Xuanwei Division was set up in Yuan Dynasty, and Zhijin County was called Zhijin in Ming Dynasty. Until today, the name Zhijin is still used. Therefore, Pingyuan can only become an ancient town.

As far as ancient towns are concerned, we have visited quite a few, especially the ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River. They are all famous towns in China and can easily rank among the 5A scenic spots. The ancient towns in the southwest are different from those in the south of the Yangtze River. In addition to the graceful style of small bridges and flowing water in the south of the Yangtze River, there are also small hills everywhere.

Pingyuan Ancient Town is located in the eastern part of Zhijin County, with Wuzhi Mountain in the east, Huandong Road and Chiwang Expressway in the south, Shuangyan Road in the west, and Yushan Road in the north. The planned land area is 1.36 square kilometers, with a total investment of 5.8 billion yuan, a total construction area of 265,000 square meters, a building density of 7.31%, a plot ratio of 0.156, and a greening rate of 60%. It was built in 2018 and is indeed very new. Although it seems that the scale is not small, we are more interested in those small hills.

On the left side of the main road are rows of cliffs, and white jade railings meander up to the top of the mountain. On the right across the lake, there are dense buildings. Near the gate is a commercial area, but it seems that it has not yet formed a scale. Although there seem to be quite a few merchants settled in, many merchants have not yet opened.

There is a "Lou Erye" shop that looks quite large. I thought it was selling braised vegetables at first glance, and I wanted to buy some to try, but when I walked in, I realized that it was a hot pot restaurant, and it hadn't opened yet. Welcoming guests.

The archway of Jueyuan is dark wood color, dignified and grand. Along the wide steps all the way up, you can climb to the top of the mountain. Although the altitude is not low, the relative height of the mountain does not require much physical strength. The mountains of karst landforms always look rough to people like us in the Jiangnan water town. The dark gray rocks are exposed, and there is a pavilion on the top of the mountain. From here, you can see that the buildings on the other side of the lake are closely arranged. The generous black tiles and white walls have the gracefulness of Jiangnan water town.

Coming out of the pavilion, there is a flat hill next to it, and a path winds down. Going down the path, the road seems to come to an end. Looking back at the mountain, although it is not very high, it always seems boring to go back. So I made a way out of the wild grass, and sure enough I was able to go down to the flat ground. The thatched cottage surrounded by mountains still looks a little pastoral in the lush forest and green grass. I don't know what these huts are used for, and they look like they haven't been completed yet.

Going out is the main road, and walking across the side of the bridge, there is a white archway with the inscription "De Pei Tian Di". This plaque is a bit too big for ordinary people to bear, and it is probably exclusive to Confucius. Going in and seeing it, it really is a Confucian temple. Although the life trajectory of Confucius may not overlap with Zhijin, as the founder of Confucianism, his disciples have already spread all over the country. Guizhou also produced champions, and Zhijin probably also produced Jinshi.

In the square pool, there is a standing statue of Confucius in white jade, with wide robes and sleeves, long eyebrows and wide beard. It is really the old Confucius admired by thousands of students. He looked ahead and held the Jane in both hands. He didn't know whether he was meeting the emperor or preaching.

The gate of the Confucian Temple is in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It is surprising that the overall building of the Confucian Temple does not use the common vermilion, but mainly black bricks.

The National Academy is three rooms wide, and only one small door is opened, but there is another door to walk in. It is estimated that it has not yet been fully completed and has not yet opened to the outside world.

Walking forward is a flower garden, with several stone statues cast here and there, presumably they are famous people weaving gold. Rudbeckia blooms vigorously, standing out against the less lush green. By the lake, there is the charm of pink canna.

The dream is not finished in the southwest, and the clouds are stacked and the sunset is bright.

Why is the wine in the cup drunk? The water is beautiful and the mountains are clear.
