"Why bother about how surging a piece of sea is, why bother about how high that hill is. I only hope that this beating heart will always be loving, so that the cold chest in this world will be like a blooming warm sun..." Xu Wei's singing started our plateau extreme challenge exploration journey. Accompanied by singing all the way, everyone was excited like never before.
When we officially set foot on National Highway 318, our first challenge followed. The first pass in Kangba, Zheduo Mountain is 4298 meters above sea level.
When I crossed the Zheduo Mountain pass at an altitude of more than 4,000 meters, I felt a little dizzy. It was a bit uncomfortable for me when I first came to the plateau, but the scenery in front of me made me forget my physical discomfort. The sea of clouds was right in front of my eyes, and I couldn't help stretching out my hand to touch the sea of clouds. What I caught was the strong wind of the plateau and the sheets of Longda. It felt very close but was far away. Smiling with friends, we are proud of our persistence. Thanks to my friends for their company and my challenging spirit for giving us a visual feast. We boarded the pass of Zheduo Mountain together, and prayed for ourselves and our family in Salonda and hanging prayer flags. The prayer flags are like a piece of brocade, and you can feel the Buddhist and Tibetan culture in Tibetan areas. Let our plateau extreme challenge check-in start here. By the way, I would like to remind everyone that you must wear a jacket and a thick jacket in Zheduo Mountain. The wind here blows to doubt life. [The first stop of check-in: Kangba's first pass is mountainous, and the challenge is successful! 】
Then we moved on and took a nap in the car. The driver brother took us to the Jianziwan Pass, which is 4659 meters above sea level. Standing on the viewing platform to see the elegant demeanor of the 18th Bend of Tianlu, everyone who was still drowsy just now woke up suddenly under the visual shock brought by the 18th Bend of Tianlu, and everyone picked up their cameras and phones for a while. Compared with the physical discomfort caused by altitude sickness, it is more exciting. This is where we will challenge.
When I was actually driving on the 18th bend of the Tianlu Road, I realized that there are so many curves that are really frightening. The twists and turns of the road have caused frequent accidents here. We sat in the back row holding a plastic bag in unanimous hand, looking at everyone's serious expressions and clenched fists, as if we were about to go to the battlefield, it's a bit funny now that we think about it. This is not only a challenge for us, this section of the road is also a big challenge for many old drivers who have entered Tibet. Fortunately, our old drivers are calm enough to give us a great sense of security. Driving out of the 18th bend, everyone was revived after a short rest! With the dawn of victory, with a little pride, as evidenced by the green hills and the clouds and mists, I have been here before. [Check in the second stop: the 18th bend of Tianlu, the challenge is successful! 】
We passed all the way and punched the challenge. Looking forward to the next challenge. In the afternoon we drove to Mount Kazila, 4718 meters above sea level. Check in on the viewing platform to watch other mountains here. The mountains are layered on top of each other, from deep to shallow, high and low, with the flowing blue sky and white clouds, just like a frozen oil painting. There is great beauty in the world, but standing here is definitely a kind of enjoyment in life. What is a day like four seasons? The climate on the plateau changes instantaneously, and the sky is still clear in front of us, but the magical rain clouds came to us unexpectedly. At dusk, we were lucky to see the fire cloud, and even the rainbow after the rain reached the sky.
After a short rest, the next day we came to Zhaga Mountain, which is 4135 meters above sea level. There are many natural caves of different sizes in the mountains. The cave is sometimes wide and sometimes narrow, and there are also stone pillars of various shapes and stone figures shaped like Buddha statues. There is a special saying about these caves: that is, drilling caves can distinguish good from evil. It is said that people who have done good deeds can pass through the cave no matter how narrow it is, while those who have done evil deeds will be stuck no matter how wide it is. Whether it is effective or not, you have to try it yourself... [The third stop of punching: the mysterious cave , the challenge is successful! 】
In the afternoon we went to Litang County Ling·Gesar Wang Jiongge Horse Breeding Cooperative. There are dozens of horses raised here, and a batch of foal cooperatives were born in May this year for everyone to feed horses and experience a different ranch life by riding horses. According to the person in charge, every August, there will be a grand August 1st Horse Racing Festival on the Litang Grassland. In between, it is magnificent. If you have a chance, let’s make an appointment in August~【Check in the fourth stop: horseback riding on the plateau, the challenge is successful! 】
On the morning of the third day, we came to Litang, known as the highest city in the world, with an average altitude of over 4,000 meters. This is not only the highest city in the world, but also the most beautiful pond for cultivation.
"White Crane, please lend me a pair of wings. I won't fly far away. I'll just go back to Litang." This last poem by Tsangyang Gyatso echoed in my ears. If you want to know more about Cangyang Gyatso, you must come to the ancient town of Letong Qianhu Tibetan Village. There is a tea-horse trade market and merchants gather here, but there is no commercial atmosphere in the market. Everyone agrees to come here to rent a few hidden houses for a period of time in the future, and slowly feel the emptiness and leisure that this kind of high-rise city does not have.
Then we visited the Kham Museum, which is the world's first wax museum built on the theme of Tibetan culture. The wax figure is really very textured, and the appearance and demeanor of the Tibetans in the Khamba area are made lifelike. I heard that the hair of the wax figure is made of real hair.
After lunch, we walked along the path next to the ancient town of Letong to the Qingliang Foguo Changchun Keer Temple on the world's highest city, which is 4014 meters above sea level. The temple building is built on the mountain, with a majestic body, giving people the feeling of looking at the sky and returning to the gods. After visiting, I leaned under the tree and waited for everyone. I watched the faltering old people support each other and walked into the temple to pay homage step by step. The sun shines on their shoulders, giving them warmth. At this moment, all the scrambles and interests are left behind, and I feel that I should not have the slightest delusion. Perhaps this is the power of faith.
In the afternoon, our group came to Gnei Mountain, which is also one of the attractions I am most looking forward to. Genie Shenshan is 4800m above sea level. "China National Geographic" once commented on Genie: "If you have been to the lonely Gongga Mountain and the beautiful Siguniang Mountain, then this mountain hidden deep in the mountains of western Sichuan , may be the last secret place of Sichuan Snow Mountain for you." There is also a big landscape in Genie Mountain - the Eye of Genie. I looked forward to it after reading the strategy on the Internet before departure. When I really saw the eyes of the earth, I felt more awe of nature. Summer is the best viewing time when there is plenty of water. So June-September is the best viewing period, everyone can act~
As I was walking, I took pictures of the scenery along the way, and I saw a temple, which immediately caught my attention. The sacred mountain in the distance, a large forest, and a winding stream made this temple very cold and vicissitudes of life. After chatting with our driver and leader brother, we found out that it is the legendary old Lenggu Temple, with an altitude of 4110 meters. Although there is a new Lenggu Temple now, the old Lenggu Temple still exudes its centuries-old charm. Its mystery makes us feel very curious, so let's go and have a look.
Then we walked 1.5 kilometers from the old Lenggu Temple to the new Lenggu Temple, which is 3920 meters above sea level. The Lenggu Temple in front of you is a refurbished Lenggu Temple. The lamas in the monastery took us to visit the big store, and we were even more fortunate to have close contact with the three treasures of Genie, doe antlers, star of Genie, and reversed conch.
For this trip, we signed up for a small group online. A few friends or donkey friends can carpool together. The advantage is that we tell the driver where we want to go, and he will take us to see it. The travel experience is the same as on the car. The comfort is better, and there are commercial vehicles and off-road vehicles to choose from. It is different from the race against time to take you to the scenic spots with the group. During this journey, we have become good friends with the driver brother, and we have received a lot of care from him along the way.
After visiting Lenggu Temple, we started our return journey. After returning to Chengdu, our trip came to an end, and we bid farewell to our past self. Although the rhetoric of purifying the soul is relatively clichéd, it has to be said that when you go to the vast world, your vision will become wider and wider, and your mood will become wider and wider. We need to constantly refresh ourselves, challenge ourselves, and completely conquer the "impossible" with fearless bravery.
