Dachaidan Water Yadan is also called Wusute Water Yadan, which is a carefully selected scenic spot in our itinerary. For this reason, we set off from Dunhuang early in the morning, passed through the deserted and desolate Qaidam Basin center with a single color, and it took nearly 8 hours to reach the destination. Along the way, there are almost no passing vehicles. Occasionally, wild camels and wild horses can be seen grazing on the roadside. On both sides of the road are boundless Yardang landforms.
Geological wonders such as Shahai Yardang, Gobi Yardang, and Water Yardang are widely distributed on the large land to the west of Dachaidan. Those earth-yellow hills of various shapes, tens of kilometers, hundreds of kilometers, are densely packed, covering the entire land and reaching the horizon. After watching for a long time, I will have hallucinations and feel that I am walking through a mirage.
oil town
We pass an abandoned oil town on the way. This is the filming location of "Nine-story Demon Tower", and now it has become a privately operated attraction. The whole town is dilapidated, and there is hardly a complete building. There are occasional abandoned vehicles on both sides of the street, and there are ruins everywhere, with slogans from decades ago painted on them. Fortunately, it was broad daylight. If it was night, it would be really scary. No one would dare to enter such a town.
Usute Water Yardang
Leaving town, we continue on our way. Wusute Water Yadan is surrounded by uninhabited and endless Gobi. The Yadan group here is carved by "wind axe" for 75 million years. It is the only water Yadan in the world and the youngest in the world. Yadan. There was no water here at first, but later the Naringrad River broke out with flash floods, and the river diverted to this wide area, forming the beautiful and magical Lake Jinel, which gradually submerged the surrounding Yardang Group, forming a spectacular Water Yarn. Dan. The water and grass in the lake are luxuriant, cutting the entire lake surface into azure blue and clear green, corresponding to the golden reeds and desert on the shore, giving people an ancient and mysterious feeling. The aquatic plants in the lake attract a large number of water birds, so people also call it "Duck Lake". The blue lake water reflects the uncanny Danxia landform, the sky is singing ducks and geese are singing, the water is sparkling, and the sand dunes and lakes form a strange and magnificent picture, which is too beautiful to behold.
It turns out that this is a no-man's land, with no villages, towns, houses, or anything. Now, the Wusute Water Yadan Hotel has just been built. It has complete facilities, considerate service, and is very comfortable. There are also some RV accommodations outside the hotel. Tourists no longer need to camp. But almost all the guests who come here are self-driving tourists.
Sit on the traffic car of the scenic spot, and we head to the depths of Yadan on the water. Along the way, the clear blue salt lake, the unique golden Yadan, and the pure blue sky complement each other, forming a spectacular water world. Here, each Yadan is like a pure land of gods in the misty heaven, reflected in the lake water, making it hard to tell which is the real Yadan and which is the illusory shadow. The boundless lake water has no end in sight, and the Yadan dotted in it is like stars in the vast universe, each of which is shining with magical light, and each has its own unique shape, like a turtle playing in the water, like a fairy Presenting treasures, like a fairy guiding the way, like a sea fleet, with different shapes and beautiful appearance.
In the depths of the scenic area, you can ride camels, fly glider, make ATVs, and take cruises. Many photography enthusiasts squat here for several days, and this is definitely the best place for drone shooting.
In the evening, my friends took their children out to watch the stars. The starry sky here is very beautiful, but it is too cold. I chose to come out to watch the sunrise the next day, hoping to see the shocking sunrise in the desert of Ningxia. It is very cold in the morning. Even in summer, the early morning in the desert still makes people feel chilly. The surrounding area is completely silent, and Yadan's faint figure, like a knight walking by day and night, makes people feel timid.
We boarded an earthen fort in the shape of an abandoned city wall on the east side, looking forward to the sunrise. When we think we can't see it appearing, it appears staggeringly in the sky. The originally desolate and indifferent land suddenly showed vitality and warmth. Yadan on the lake looks shy and reserved under the rising sun, like a bride with a golden veil, which is extraordinarily moving. A few wild ducks were leisurely looking for food on the lake, and occasionally water birds were frightened by us and flew far away with flapping wings. On the mound in the distance, there is a photographer who is framing the scene. At this time, he has become the scenery in our lens.
I met an old photographer, and he told us that he had been here seven years ago, and the water surface was bigger than it is now, and now the water surface in many places has dried up. Yes, many natural landscapes have gradually disappeared with the passage of time and changes in the environment. The beautiful scenery in front of you is worth cherishing, and the people around you should be cherished even more.
From Wusute, we have to go to Chaka on National Highway 315. The Yardang landform along the way is no longer attractive to us, and everyone is drowsy in the car. The kind driver master woke us up, this is a shooting spot of Internet celebrity. A black road seems to be sloping down directly from the sky, like an undulating black streamer falling in this vast desert, appearing in front of our eyes. There are too many photographers here who have taken too many eye-catching works. Everyone was so excited that they came out one after another to make concave shapes, pose, sit, and jump, with my most beautiful and best posture in the world. The original sleepiness has long since disappeared.
Another place that makes people frantically press the camera is Xiaochaidan Lake on the side of the road. Looking from the distance from the road, at the end of the desert, under the blue sky and white clouds, the blue lake water sets off the snow-capped mountains in the distance, so pure and beautiful. When we walked in, the lake was slapping the water plants on the shore, clear and cold, and the lake was endless, with only the sound of water flowing in our ears. At this moment, we forgot ourselves and where we were.
