Qinghai not only has Chaka Salt Lake, but also a hidden treasure scenic spot in Dulan County - Alake Lake National Wetland Park. This is also the biggest gain from my trip in Dulan. We drove all the way and encountered various breathtaking scenery on the road. In our traditional impression, it seems that August and September are the best time to go to Qinghai. As everyone knows, Dulan in winter has a special charm, and its beauty is not inferior to August and September. This winter, let’s go to Arak Lake together!
Alak Lake is located in Balong Township, Dulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, with an average altitude of 4099 meters. It is the largest freshwater lake in Haixi Prefecture and has always maintained the original ecological natural scenery. The ecological structure of Alak Lake is relatively complete, and most of the rare species on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are distributed. It is an ideal summer habitat for rare migratory birds including black-necked cranes. We saw a lot of wild animals on the road in winter, including wolves, deer, yaks and cute wild donkeys. We can only observe them from a distance and watch them running in the snow to their heart's content.
In fact, Lake Arak can enjoy different beautiful scenery all year round, but Lake Arak in winter has a touching and poignant beauty. It is white, and you can vaguely see the loneliness of the pavilions and boats on the ice of the lake in the distance, as if waiting for the return of the master. A group of lovely yaks brought some vitality to Lake Alak, walking on the ice of Lake Alak, very comfortable. Although it is cold, you can still feel the charm of Lake Arak.
You must pay attention to safety when driving in the Alak Lake National Wetland Park, but our Wrangler is very powerful, and it is very stable on the ice, because the Alak Lake has been covered with thick ice, so our self-driving cars have begun to enjoy Elegant, very exciting and enjoyable.
During the self-driving journey, we passed through the highlands in the eastern part of Kunlun Mountains at an altitude of nearly 5,000 meters. In winter, Kunlun Mountains, everything rests, and the blue sky and white snow blend with the vast mountains in the scenic area. Mountains are connected to mountains, and peaks are connected to peaks, which is very vast. The sky is blue, the mountains are winding and covered with silver. I couldn't help lying in the snow, looking at the endless sky, feeling that time had slowed down.
