After the war, the local people invested in the construction of dilapidated temples, hoping that the gods would protect the town and ensure peace, hence the name Zhenguo Temple. Still in use.
Zhenguo Temple does not have a separate mountain gate, but it is combined with the Heavenly King Hall that can pass through the hall. The Hall of Heavenly Kings is a building in the Yuan Dynasty, which is more than 700 years old.
Behind the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Hall of Ten Thousand Buddhas, built in the Five Dynasties period, inherited the architectural style of the Tang Dynasty, using large bucket arches to form large eaves.
Zhenguo Temple, the former royal temple, is now a precious architectural relic of the Five Dynasties, with huge brackets, strong columns, precious painted sculptures, and unique Buddha statues. . However, due to the distance from the ancient city of Pingyao, few people mentioned it in the tour guides, resulting in few tourists and neglected doors. I think this is also its sorrow!
