Life is so strange and strange. I am like a person who has been watching the sky from a well all his life, and suddenly saw the sea. I was out of breath and intrigued at the same time. I don't want to die, I want to live. I feel a new hope. Like a stubborn old sailor, I raised my sails and set sail towards the unknown sea. My heart longs for the unknown world.

                                                                                                              --"veil"

before departure

The beginning of 2020 is very magical. I originally wanted to go abroad to meet my husband in early February, but I had to cancel all the plans. Looking at the end of April, the single business visa that took 6k to apply for directly drifted (signed) into the (certificate) (pass) period, and there was no chance of saving it. But... I have to rejoice that not going out is the right and lucky choice. In any case, mothers in the motherland are the safest.

After spending a long spring at home, taking advantage of the May Day holiday, I am no longer willing to take advantage of the huge traffic on May Day. Foreign countries are still a mess, and the first choice for travel must be domestic travel, but because the ban has not been completely lifted, we don’t want to go to places where people gather, so we only set out by car on the day of May Fourth Youth Day.

route overview

This time we chose to go south and drive to Guangxi and Guizhou provinces. Let me talk about the good tourism in Guizhou at that time~~~ As of July 31, 2020, the tickets for A-level scenic spots in Guizhou Province are all free 👍 (excluding hot spring tourist attractions and franchise projects in scenic spots), that is, only scenic spots that need to take a shuttle bus You need to buy a shuttle ticket. In 8 days, we walked through ancient towns, ancient cities, islands, Dong villages, transnational waterfalls, and the FAST Sky Eye, a heavy weapon of the great country. We saw several completely different scenery, and the experience was naturally completely different.

Preparation

The equipment for traveling in special periods is also very complete (as shown in the picture)

Essentials for daily travel: clothing storage bag, data cable bag, wash bag, hair tie, portable towel, portable slippers, portable folding hanger, hair tie, four-piece portable bedding set, disposable dental floss, disposable toilet seat , High-power waterproof sunscreen spray (for seaside)

There is also a special preparation - to save the "kids", because I have to leave early in the morning, so I carried the cats to the pet store one day in advance

In addition to the above preparations, what we never expected is that we have a lot of experience in self-driving travel, and we are worried that we are not used to the local food, so we specially brought Dafran’s special food with us-a box of steamed wind-blown fish and A can of flavored radish with chopped peppers! It's a savior of appetite

Health green code declaration method

It is best to prepare the health green code in advance during special times. We have declared the health green code of Hunan Province in advance when we set off from Changsha. We are going to Guangxi and Guizhou provinces, so the health green codes of these two provinces are also needed. The entrance of the scenic spot is generally There will be staff to guide the declaration. Of course, I think it would be better if you can declare in advance. Here are the green code declaration methods of Guangxi Province and Guizhou Province:

Guangxi health code declaration is as follows-

Guizhou health code declaration is as follows-

Scenic spot reservation method

During the special period, all major scenic spots adopt flow-limiting methods, so you need to make an appointment in advance through official channels to go to the scenic spot. When we went, the May Day holiday was basically over, so most of the reservations were made by scanning the code on the spot. Of course, I also have Check the real-time carrying capacity of the scenic spot on the official public account in advance. If you are traveling, it is recommended to pay attention to the official public account and the public account of the scenic spot in real time, and make an effective reservation in advance. Don't feel troublesome, this is responsible for yourself and others

Ways to make reservations in advance for scenic spots in Guangxi: After following the official account of "Guangxi Department of Culture and Tourism", click on "Passenger Flow of Scenic Spots" to enter, and you can see the real-time passenger flow of scenic spots, and make reservations for scenic spots at the same time (as follows)

Ways to make advance reservations for scenic spots in Guizhou: Select the corresponding scenic spot to make an advance reservation in the mini-program "Reservation for Guizhou Tour", "Travel in Guiyang" and the official windows of major scenic spots.

Huangyao Ancient Town - one of the ten most beautiful ancient towns in China

Depart from Changsha in the morning, travel all the way for 7 hours, and arrive at the exit of Huangyao Expressway at 2 o'clock in the afternoon

Huangyao Ancient Town in Zhaoping County, Hezhou is one of the ten most beautiful ancient towns in China and the filming location of the movie "The Veil". It has a history of nearly 1,000 years and is an ancient town surrounded by mountains.

⛳️Address: No. 1, Huangyao Town, Zhaoping County, Hezhou City, Guangxi Province

💰Price: 100 yuan/person for tickets, 80 yuan/person for online booking in advance

🅿️Parking: There is a paid parking lot in the ancient town. The private parking spot charges 30 yuan for overnight parking / 20 yuan for overnight parking. Free parking is available on both sides of the road in front of Huangyao Middle School. When we arrived, there were not many tourists, so we parked on the road side

🚗Traffic: It takes us 6 and a half hours to drive from Changsha to Huangyao Ancient Town for about 580 kilometers, and it takes 2 and a half hours to drive from Guilin to Huangyao Ancient Town for about 200 kilometers.

If you have watched the movie "The Veil", you must be familiar with the ancient town of Huangyao. Look for familiar scenes in a few stills

The ancient town surrounded by layers of peaks, the ancient town with dragon bridge, stone jumping bridge, stone street, etc. are all unique scenery.

We entered the ancient town from the entrance and exit next to the ancient stage. There is a purchase/exchange office at the entrance. When entering the ancient town, people will check the ticket, check the health green code and measure the body temperature. At the same time, you need to wear a mask. Tickets for the ancient town are valid for multiple days, so remember to bring your tickets with you when you go in and out.

At 3:00 p.m. when we entered the ancient town, the first thing we saw was the hundreds-year-old banyan tree, which was so strong that its branches needed to be supported by imitation wood.

Standing under the tree and taking pictures of the opposite mountain peak, it just formed a reflection on the water

I took a short break at the B&B to release Wanxing Li, and then I went out with my camera. Go to the entrance and take another picture of this ancient tree, the trunk looks more robust under the light and shadow at dusk

And near the dragon claw banyan is another view of the ancient town - Shitiaoqiao

The East Gate Tower is located next to the Visitor Center of the ancient town. The East Gate Tower is the closest to the South Snake Cave and the Dragon Bridge

Speaking of the Dragon Bridge, it is the photogenic scene in the third photo above. It should be said to be the representative scene of the ancient town. I think the best time to shoot the Dragon Bridge is when there are no tourists in the early morning. breakfast stand.

My mother insisted on standing on the bridge and asked me to take an interesting picture for her, so I simply took a picture of her and adjusted it to make her dreamy

On both sides of the road in the ancient town, the residents set up a shelf to start small businesses, and the most common ones are selling the special products of the ancient town. The special products of Huangyao Ancient Town are Huangyao Douchi, Polygonatum, and Wild Chrysanthemum. If you are looking for delicious food in the ancient town, then a tempeh feast is a good choice: tempeh pork ribs, tempeh powder, tempeh chicken and tempeh fish. In addition, the snacks in the ancient town include Huangyao tofu stuffed, tofu flower, mugwort leaf cake, camellia oleifera, etc. The peppers here are also quite distinctive in that they are round, and you can see the homemade plums drying on the side of the road. There are also many pickles on Guzhen Street, if you like, you can take some with you.

The upper floor of Jinlanju in the ancient town is suitable for taking panoramic views of Huangyao Ancient Town, but passengers who do not stay need to take pictures for a fee. The owner of the inn took me to the roof of his old house on the street, and let me stand on the roof alone to take pictures casually. Standing on it and watching the 360-degree panorama, the scenery is really good

When you arrive at Huangyao Ancient Town, you can get a brief introduction to the ancient town, which has a map of the ancient town and introductions to surrounding attractions. There are Huangyao Flower Sea and Yaojiang Bamboo Rafting around the ancient town. They are not far from the ancient town. If you are interested, you can go and have fun. We stayed in Huangyao Ancient Town for one night. When we woke up in the morning, we wandered around the ancient town for a long time before taking our luggage and driving to Beihai City, Guangxi.

【Live in Huangyao Ancient Town】

Go in from the entrance next to the ancient stage of Huangyao Ancient Town and walk through "Yi Kongzhigu", and you will arrive at the homestay I booked in advance at the corner

Walk along this small alley and you will arrive

There are three of us traveling, so I booked a three-bed room. The room is very clean on the second floor. The weather in Guangxi was very hot during the few days we went. The central air conditioner in the room works very well. The most important thing is that the host has a corgi dog called Ge Ji is quite a family member. He was very enthusiastic when he saw us entering the door. He was not afraid of people at all when he followed people and touched them casually. He was definitely an excellent welcomer. But if you point the camera at it, it won't do all kinds of dodging the camera

Beihai Old Street-Modern and Modern Architecture Yearbook

Beihai City can't be regarded as our second stop, because we went to Weizhou Island by taking the boat at 10 am the next day, so we rested overnight in Beihai City.

🚗Transportation: From Huangyao Ancient Town to Beihai City, the journey is about 490 kilometers and takes about 6 hours. At that time, the May Day holiday was the last day, and I felt that there were fewer cars on the expressway. We also arrived at the B&B near Beihai Shili Silver Beach at 3:00 pm that day. I thought it would be close to Silver Beach, so I could park my car and take a walk around Silver Beach. Unfortunately, there was a fence in front of Shili Silver Beach and the road was being built. Originally, it only took about 10 minutes to walk from the B&B to Silver Beach. After being stopped, we had to make a detour and it would be far away. We thought we would go to Weizhou Island the next day, so we didn't go to Shili Silver Beach to take pictures.

After putting our luggage in the hotel room, we took a rest. When the sun was no longer glaring, we decided to go to Beihai Old Street, so we rented 2 small electric motorcycles at the hotel, and started to gogogo by bike! My dad is hanging on my mother, and I can only hang on my camera bag......

I rode for half an hour to the old town of Beihai. When I went there, the sun was about to set, and the sky had already turned yellow. I was too lazy to take the bag and the camera, so I took it with my mobile phone~ After wandering around the beach for a while, we rode to the vicinity of Beihai Old Street. We parked the small electric motorcycle in the parking area on the side of the street and walked into the old street.

Beihai Old Street is an old street with a history of nearly 200 years. It is an old commercial street with Chinese and Western arcade-style buildings along the street.

Most of the window tops on the walls facing the street are arched structures, which can not only shelter from wind and rain, but also avoid the scorching sun.

Wandering in the old street, you must remember to try the sugar water and shrimp cakes. In the hot summer, eating freshly fried shrimp cakes and drinking cool sugar water, in the words of Changsha, it has a good charm~

Although I wore a mask all the time, my face was still red, and I applied a mask when I returned to the room

After eating and drinking enough, we rode a small electric motorcycle and walked back. It is still very cool to ride a small electric motorcycle around Beihai at night. I look forward to going to the island the next day lor~~

Beihai Weizhou Island - China Maldives

Weizhou Island is an island formed by volcanic eruption. It has sea erosion, sea accumulation and lava landscapes. It is known as "Penglai Island". It is the youngest volcanic island in China and the largest island in Guangxi. The scenic spots on the island include Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area, Dishui Danping Scenic Area, Shiluokou Scenic Area, Catholic Church Scenic Area and Colorful Beach Scenic Area, etc.

⛳️Address: Weizhou Island, located in the middle of Beibu Gulf, Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, north of Beihai City, Guangxi, it takes about 1 hour and 10 minutes by boat from Beihai International Passenger Port.

💰Price: The entrance ticket to the island is 98 yuan/person, and the ferry ticket needs to be purchased in advance. I booked a one-way general ticket in advance at 150 yuan/person, and a round-trip ticket costs 300 yuan/person. If it is a VIP class ticket, it is more expensive. There is a self-service ticket collection machine at the port for tickets purchased in advance, and it is very convenient to collect tickets with an ID card.

🅿️Parking: We are traveling by car. There is a parking lot at the Beihai International Passenger Terminal. After May Day, there are not many tourists on the island, and there are many parking spaces inside. We parked for 3 days and charged 30 yuan, which is really not expensive. The passenger port has direct bus lines to the airport and train station.

📷Traffic: The scenic spots on Weizhou Island are very scattered. The best way is to charter a car or rent a car (drive or ride by yourself). If you don’t know how to drive or ride a motorcycle, you can also take a bus. There are 3 bus lines on the island You can take the bus to Shell Beach, Dishui Danping, and Colorful Beach Visitor Center.

🌝Others: The fishing ban on Weizhou Island in 2020 is from 12:00 on May 1st to 12:00 on August 16th. During this period, there will be very little seafood caught in the sea. We went during the fishing ban period, so many seafood were not seen

If you have a history of seasickness, it is recommended to prepare seasickness medicine in advance. My mother was very uncomfortable on the boat, and she recovered slowly after getting off the boat. I have already booked the homestay on the island in advance, and the boss also arranged for someone to pick us up. The booked B&B is close to Shell Beach and the Catholic Church, which is much quieter than the B&B near Nanwan. I will talk about the specific accommodation situation later~

It happened to be noon when we arrived at the B&B. The B&B provides paid meals. The three of us ordered a few dishes casually, and we brought Hunan steamed fish and diced radish with tea oil. The food was quite delicious. . After eating, we went back to the room for a short rest. After 4 pm, the sun was not so fierce. We packed up our bags and rented 2 small electric motorcycles at the hotel, and rode to the Catholic Church and Shell Beach.

Weizhou Island Catholic Church

Weizhou Island Catholic Church is located in Shengtang Village, Weizhou Island, hidden in a green plantain forest and jackfruit forest. It is the most magnificent church in the "Lei Lian" area in the late Qing Dynasty. The top of the main entrance is a bell tower, towering Roman style The minaret and the bell tower have a stone spiral staircase with more than 10 steps, which can only allow one person to circle up to the second floor. Hanging on the top floor is a large silver alloy clock cast in 1889. It's a pity that the indoor attractions are not open during the epidemic, so you can't visit inside and can only take pictures outside.

There is also a vegetable market next to the Shengtang Scenic Area, but the price of the vegetables is not cheap. It is recommended to go to the Nanwan Seafood Market to buy seafood.

Weizhou Island Shell Beach

It is very close from the Holy Church Scenic Area to Shell Beach, if you ride a small electric motorcycle, you can get there in less than 10 minutes. We rode to Shell Beach after taking photos in the Catholic Church. The villagers charged a parking fee of 5 yuan per car. Because there were not many tourists, we negotiated the price with them and finally paid 5 yuan for 2 cars together.

Shell Beach is the beach attraction with the longest coastline on Weizhou Island. It starts from the east coast of Weizhou Island and ends at the beach where the Blue Bridge Wharf is. This is a place suitable for watching the sunrise, and you can also watch the sunset, but I recommend the Muya Scenic Area to watch the sunset. We didn't go too far on Shell Beach, and basically stayed on the beach near the entrance. The sea is very clear, but I personally feel that the beach is relatively average.

My dad likes to ride a motorboat. The locals bid 200 yuan for a 20-minute ride. Because the May Day holiday has passed and there are few tourists on the beach, we bargained with the locals for 100 yuan and rode for about 15 minutes.

Gopro put it in the waterproof case and recorded a section. It is best for surfing in sunny summer.

Before returning to the B&B after playing at Shell Beach, I saw villagers buying plantains on the side of the road. They looked small and blue, and they didn’t look delicious. The villagers asked us to try whether it was sweet or not. money, so we tasted one that was unexpectedly sweet and gluten-free, and tasted very good, so we spent 10 yuan to buy all the plantains in the hands of the villagers at that time, and gave the boss a bunch of plantains after returning to the homestay. The remaining skewer the three of us ate for 2 days. If you come to Weizhou Island and see plantains with poor appearance, remember not to miss tasting them~

On the first day on the island, after visiting the scenery near the homestay, it was time for us to ride a small electric motorcycle and set off to the other side of the island on the second day.

Weizhou Island Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area

We rented 2 small electric motorcycles from the homestay, and we arrived at the Nanwan Crocodile Mountain Scenic Spot at the first stop in the morning. Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area is one of the must-see attractions on Weizhou Island, because Weizhou Island was formed by volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago, and Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area is an excellent place to watch volcanic rocks and wonderful sea views.

🅿️Location: The southernmost corner of Weizhou Island in Beihai, small electric motorcycles can be parked in the free parking lot outside the visitor center

🚶‍♀️Distance: The whole journey of the scenic spot is 7 kilometers. You can take half of the distance by shuttle bus. After getting off the bus, walk down the mountain and up the mountain for about 3 kilometers

When you see the sign above, go down to the right and you will find the Crocodile Mountain Visitor Center. The two scenic spots of Crocodile Mountain and Colorful Beach that we bought at the entrance of the visitor center include a shuttle bus package of 50 yuan/person. Because the May Day holiday has passed, there are very few tourists in the two scenic spots. The shuttle bus to and from the scenic spot There are only 3 of us. After getting off the shuttle bus at the Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area, the first thing you see when you enter the scenic area is the 18-meter-high Weizhou Island Lighthouse.

Going down the mountain along the walking plank road, you will pass the statue of Tang Xianzu (Tang Wengtai), the author of "The Peony Pavilion", the great playwright and poet of the Ming Dynasty. Write, send to Guo Lianzhou". The sentence "the sun hits Weizhou Guo, the wind leans against the island and the ocean" is particularly eye-catching.

Go down to the bottom of the mountain and walk along the coast, and found it in the crevice of the rock

The three characters "Moon Bay" are engraved on the stone wall, and there is a big stone facing Moon Bay that is engraved with "Love in Weizhou"

I like the following two photos the most, they are good for computer screensavers

Walking along the plank road, you will pass coral sedimentary rock scenes, sea dry rocks, Moon Square and other scenic spots. If you don’t turn back in the scenic spot, continue to walk up the plank road to the mountain and you can see cacti hanging on the stone wall.

Come to the entrance and exit of the scenic spot, there is a place suitable for taking photos-hey~ I am in Weizhou, where are you?

On the way back, turn around and take a photo of Weizhou Lighthouse from different angles

Go back to the waiting area of the shuttle bus for tourists at Crocodile Mountain, show the combined ticket and take the shuttle bus to the colorful beach scenic spot.

Weizhou Island Colorful Beach Scenic Spot

It takes about 10 minutes to take the shuttle bus from Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area to Wucai Beach Scenic Area. The drop off point of the shuttle bus is the entrance of Wucai Beach.

Colorful Beach, formerly known as Sesame Beach, is famous because there are many small black stones like sesame seeds on the beach. After the low tide, Zhima Beach is exceptionally beautiful, with huge sea cliffs layer by layer, which are particularly spectacular under the sunlight. Almost all of the 1.5-kilometer-long coast in the scenic area has 20-50-meter-high sea-eroded cliffs. The 100-meter sea erosion platform is amazing.

🚗Location: Southeast of Weizhou Island in the North Sea, facing Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area at the southern ring ends of Weizhou Island

The colorful beach has a "trinity" of sea erosion cliffs, sea erosion caves, and sea erosion platforms.

Parents are also very playful, no matter what sports shoes they are wearing, they stand on the sea erosion platform and ride the waves to play in the water

Go to the colorful beach scenic spot and pay attention to the time of high and low tides. The time of high and low tides is different every day. Now many apps that check the weather can find the time of high and low tides. When we went to Wucai Beach, it was just around noon and it was low tide time. The colorful beach volcanic rock sunrise on Weizhou Island ranks second in the "Top Ten Beautiful Islands in China", so if you have the opportunity, you can consider watching the sunrise at the colorful beach. Anyway.... I didn't get up 😄😄

Weizhou Island Nanwan Seafood Market

We took the shuttle bus from the colorful beach scenic spot back to the Crocodile Mountain Visitor Center. It was already time for lunch. We picked up our small electric motorcycle in the parking lot and quickly set off for the Nanwan Seafood Market. It is about 4 kilometers from the Crocodile Mountain Scenic Area to the Nanwan Seafood Market. It takes more than 10 minutes to arrive at the Seafood Market. Park your car in the parking space in front of the market, and you can go to the market to buy seafood. Chatting with the owner of the homestay the day before, he recommended us to buy seafood at the Nanwan Market, which is relatively affordable, and there is a fair scale in front of the market. If you are worried about buying something with a small scale, you can weigh it yourself.

In the market, grouper sells for 40-50 yuan per piece, oysters 2-2.5 yuan per piece, scallops 1-2 yuan per piece (you can bargain appropriately, we took 12 small scallops for 10 yuan), and razor clams sell very well in bundles. Can't remember the fresh price.

Guangxi is the main production area of sandworms, and Beihai is the main production area of Guangxi. Sandworms are relatively expensive, but you must try them when you come to Weizhou Island. Because sandworms are very sensitive to the quality of the growth environment, they cannot survive once polluted, so they are called "environmental marker organisms". Sandworm meat is crisp and tender, containing 12 mineral elements such as calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, manganese, magnesium, etc. These trace elements can help maintain normal physiological functions of the human body and promote metabolism, so sandworm is also known as "ocean cordyceps sinensis". . If you have watched "YS Kitchen", you will definitely have an impression of sandworms. We bought about 2 catties of sandworms in the market, and after cleaning the sand in the intestines, it was less than 1 catty.

We tried to buy grouper, scallops, sandworms, oysters, razor clams, etc. in the market. We took them back to the inn and paid for the boss to help process them. They all tasted very good! I will write about the specific food later~~

Weizhou Island Muya Scenic Area

Twilight, dusk, dusk; Cliff, cliff, precipice. Muya is really a beautiful name!

In fact, Muya cannot be regarded as a scenic spot on Weizhou Island, because it has not been fully developed. This is also the place where the owner of the homestay recommended us to watch the sunset at dusk

⛳️Address: Muya is next to the Zhonghai Petroleum Processing Plant on the island, and you can see a "torch" near there. I inquired in advance on the weather app that the sunset time of Weizhou Island is 7:14 p.m., so we set off on a small electric motorcycle at almost 6 p.m.

🅿️Parking: The electric motorcycle is parked outside the Muya Scenic Area. Of course, there is also a vote of villagers waiting. The parking fee is 5 yuan/car.

In many people's shots, Muya is a golden cliff similar to the "Valley of Unrequited Love", but I went to the other side of Muya with a tripod on my back, where I stood alone to shoot the sunset on the island. It is very quiet when disturbed by people, and there is no need to worry about being knocked over the tripod. When I set up the tripod, the sun has revealed a golden halo

Before the sun has completely set, hurry up and "play"

Coconut or SUN? ? ? ?

1 minute to watch the sunset record of Muya Scenic Area

At 7:14 p.m., the sun disappeared below the sea level, and the distant sky began to turn red

After a whole night of rest, I slept well in the morning. The innkeeper arranged a car to take us to the pier. We took a boat back to the Beihai International Passenger Port. Looking at the sea view of the Beibu Gulf through the window of the boat, the small video of the whole port style is quite interesting.

After getting the car, we found a restaurant in a nearby shopping mall and had a Shaanxi-style lunch. After eating and drinking, we set off for the last stop in Guangxi Province on this trip - Detian Village, Shuolong Town, Daxin County, Chongzuo .

【Live in Weizhou Island】

I booked a B&B online in advance near the shell beach on the island. I contacted the owner of the B&B about the arrival time in advance. The boss arranged for a three-wheeled master to pick us up. We contacted the master when we got out of the Weizhou Island pier and sent us to the airport smoothly. The entrance of the hotel.

The homestay is not particularly big overall, but there are many small decorations that are very warm. Bananas, jackfruit, and papaya can all be seen on the trees in the yard.

The owner's family is from Chongqing, and the helper is a couple from Harbin. They are very friendly and can answer any questions in a timely manner. They will also give appropriate advice on the itinerary of the island's attractions according to the check-in time. The homestay provides paid seafood processing and paid dishes can be ordered. Seafood processing is priced at 10 yuan/dish for boiled seafood, and 20 yuan/dish for steamed or spicy fried seafood. The most important thing is that the seafood cooked by the boss is really delicious. And take the initiative to tell us where to buy seafood, which seafood is the cheapest and best quality to buy this season, and which seafood should not be bought as much as possible. Bring out our francaise with seafood from the island, simply! ! Absolutely!

We stayed on the island for two days, because the food tastes good, we basically either order food at the hotel, or buy seafood and pay the boss to process it. The homestay also provides breakfast. The Chongqing noodles made by the boss are delicious. Chongqing noodles are 15 yuan per serving. In addition, the simple breakfast of white rice porridge + 2 steamed buns + 1 sea duck egg is also 15 yuan per serving. The homestay provides small electric motorcycles that can be rented. The three of us rented two small electric motorcycles to ride anywhere on the island.

I booked a midsummer loft room, with three upper and lower beds for the three of us to sleep just right. The room is very clean. The weather is very stuffy now. The air conditioners on the upper and lower floors of the guest house have a very good cooling effect. The water pressure in the room was also very good. It was very hot on the island in those few days, and we basically had to take a shower and change clothes after going out. There are hangers for drying clothes in the yard. Hand-washed clothes can be dried directly in the yard. It will dry after 2 hours in the sun, so it is very convenient and comfortable to live in. The island is very humid at night, so remember to take the clothes out of the room before going to bed. Because it is not in the bustling Nanwan area, the night is very quiet, and the crowing of geckos and roosters can be heard clearly in the morning.

The owner of the homestay has a golden retriever named "Captain", 🐶 is looking for a mate~ There is also a tabby cat who looks lazy but is very good at catching mice 🐈 named "Yaomei", who is also very close.

The day we were on the island happened to be the last round of the super moon in 2020, so we went back to the hotel from Muya Scenic Spot to have dinner, and then I ran to the roof of the hotel to take pictures of the moon~

Detian Transnational Waterfall - the fourth largest transnational waterfall in the world

Detian Waterfall is located in the upper reaches of Guichun River on the border between China and Vietnam. It is three times the size of Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou. If you have watched the TV series "A Thousand Bones of Flowers", you will be familiar with this place, because it is a filming location~~~

⛳️Address: Detian Village, Shuolong Town, Daxin County, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region

💰Price: Tickets 110 yuan/person (including sightseeing cars, but we walk all the way)

🅿️Parking: Parking on the roadside in front of the hotel is free, but the people in the hotel will hint that they park at the stadium, the fee is 30 yuan/time, and the actual charge is 10 yuan/time

🚗Traffic: The drive from Beihai City to Detian Waterfall is about 380 kilometers, and it takes 5 hours to drive

The expressway is smooth all the way, and when you approach Daxin County, you can see that the road on both sides has changed from banana trees to mountains. The last 10 kilometers to the entrance of the scenic spot is an S-shaped mountain road, next to the cliff, so you must be very careful when driving.

It was already evening when we arrived in Detian. The hotel I booked was next to the entrance of the scenic spot, and there were several hotels around. The scenic spot is not in the urban area, so the price-performance ratio of accommodation and meals is relatively poor.

Detian Village is on the Sino-Vietnamese border, next to the territory of Vietnam. We slept in the hotel until midnight and there was a power outage. The power outage was good. The domestic mobile phone signal was completely gone, and we were directly connected to the Vietnam signal on the opposite side. Because of the power outage, the air conditioner was gone. The weather in Guangxi was extremely hot in those few days. I woke up early in the morning...

Because I woke up too early and there was a power outage, I couldn't find any breakfast sellers in the village, so I had no choice but to eat a bowl of instant noodles for each person. After 8:00, the scenic spot opened, and we went to the entrance of the scenic spot. Announcement and green code display at the entrance --

After entering the security check, it is the gate of Detian Transnational Waterfall~ You can see the guide map of the waterfall through the gate

Walking down the trail is the main scenic spot.

Take a close-up shot of the waterfall. It was not a wet season when I went there, so the momentum was a little bit worse. The scenic area provides bamboo rafts, which can be watched at a close distance on the bamboo rafts. The price is 30 yuan/person

Opposite is the territory of Vietnam

The boundary marker on this side of the border

At that time, I didn’t have a lens with a focal length of 100-400. I could barely capture the boundary markers in Vietnam with a lens of 24-70.

Continue along the tour route to see the waterfall more closely

At the end of the plank road, there is the Detian Temple, which is known as the southernmost border temple in China.

Panoramic view of Detian Transnational Waterfall, the left side of the screen is the Vietnam Banjo Waterfall (“Bản Giốc Đức Thiên”), and the right side is the Detian Waterfall. The panorama will be quite spectacular during the wet season.

The Detian Waterfall Scenic Area is not particularly large. At that time, it was still being renovated and expanded. The entire scenic spot can be visited in about 2 hours. We took the car from the Detian Waterfall Scenic Area, and we ended our trip in Guangxi Province~

【Live in Detian】

There is basically no choice of accommodation in Detian Waterfall, because Detian Village is really small, and there are only a few hotels that can be selected in front of the scenic spot, so the requirements should not be too high. At first, the air conditioner in the three-bed room we lived in didn’t work, so we asked the staff to change a room. We thought we could sleep peacefully, but we didn’t know that there was a power outage in the middle of the night, and the mobile phone signal was directly connected to the signal in Vietnam, and then we returned to our home in Changsha. I also received a call from the staff of the community epidemic prevention station, asking if we had been to Vietnam in early May, because the signal footprint went to Vietnam ... I really feel a bit embarrassed. In the small shop downstairs of the hotel, many of the local villagers sell Vietnamese products, and the price/performance ratio is average.

Pingtang Tianyan FAST-the most important weapon of the country

Starting from Detian Village, we arrived at Pingtang Astronomical Town in Guizhou Province, which is the world's first and the only one in China that focuses on astronomical technology. This is the third time we have traveled to Guizhou by car! Pingtang Astronomical Town is only 5 kilometers away from the FAST China Sky Eye. We drove across the Hongshuihe Bridge and entered Guizhou from Guangxi Province~

⛳️Address: Hanglong Village 312, Pingtang County, Qiannan Buyi and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province

💰Price: Shuttle bus 50 yuan/person (this is a must buy), there is a through train to the viewing platform on the top of the mountain in the scenic area 20 yuan/person one way, this is free to choose

🅿️Parking: Cars are free to park downstairs in the B&B in Star World

🚗Transportation: The drive from Detian Waterfall to Pingtang Astronomical Town is about 430 kilometers, and it takes 5 and a half hours to drive

When we approached Pingtang, we saw the road sign of the spherical radio telescope from a distance. Referring to the road sign, we got off the expressway at Tianyan Station

The first thing you see when you get off the highway is the straight Astronomical Space-Time Tower, which looks like a torch from a distance. The tower is 99.999 meters tall, very majestic!

Facing the tower is the Tianmu Commercial Street, which looks ordinary during the day, but at night there will be a skylight show, with great visual and sound effects! When you arrive in Pingtang, you must remember to experience it!

In the Tianmu commercial street, there is the deeds of Mr. Nan Rendong, the main initiator and founder of "China Sky Eye". Across the street is the Astronomical Experience Hall. Facing the Astronomical Experience Hall and looking to the right, you can see a gate of time that is constantly changing light, like a mysterious black hole, which seems to be able to travel through time and space. The most inconspicuous feature is the street lights, which look like a row of flying saucers when they are lit at night, which really fits the image of an astronomical town.

The road names in Tianwen Town are full of hope - Shenzhou Road, Zhangheng Road, Chang'e Road

The ticket/ticket redemption office is in Tianmu Commercial Street. Those who buy tickets online must remember to redeem paper tickets at the self-service ticket redemption machine first. To get to the Tianyan Scenic Area, you need to take a shuttle bus at the Astronomical Museum. The shuttle bus goes up the mountain and enters the scenic spot for about 15 minutes. It takes 15 minutes to walk from the ticket office to the Astronomical Museum and take the shuttle bus. In order to avoid delays in travel and time, be sure to exchange paper tickets.

The Tianyan Scenic Area has to go through two security checks, which is quite strict! All electronic devices such as watches, bracelets, mobile phones, keys, cameras, and power banks are not allowed to be brought into the scenic spot, and lighters are also not allowed to be brought in. There is a storage place outside the entrance.

Introduction to the FAST Spherical Radio Telescope Project

Take the shuttle bus to the bottom of the mountain, and walk up the mountain along the plank road for half an hour. Of course, you can also choose to pay for a through train (20 yuan/person) to go directly to the viewing platform on the top of the mountain. Looking down from the top of the mountain, you can see a huge "pot" in the mountain nest. Don't underestimate this huge "pot". This is the perfect presentation of our country's modern scientific and technological power!

You can rent a film machine or pay to take pictures in the scenic area. We chose to pay to take pictures. We took a film photo for 25 yuan and scanned it into an electronic version and sent it to my email. After paying, there will be a paper receipt with a contact number on it for easy contact. , It takes 3-5 days to receive the electronic version of the photo normally, probably because there are really very few tourists in the current period, I received the electronic version of the photo the next day. The weather was gloomy that day, and I haven’t looked at the photos from the film camera for a long time. I’m really not used to the pixels and colors~~ But when I got home, I still printed it out and sealed it in a plastic seal to keep as the best souvenir.

From the Pingtang Tianyan Scenic Area, take the shuttle bus back to the Astronomical Museum. After picking up the car at the hotel, we set off for the last stop of this self-driving tour. On the way to Zhaoxing Dong Village in Liping County, we passed the Pingtang Super Bridge with a main tower of 332 meters high, a masterpiece of great power and magic! ! !

【Live in Pingtang】

The accommodation in Pingtang, Guizhou is a B&B in the Interstellar Home next to the Planetarium that I booked online in advance. I booked a three-bed room. The B&B has 5 floors and there is no elevator. Our room is on the 4th floor. Through the window of the room, we can just see the Astronomical Experience Hall and Tianmu Commercial Street. We parked the car directly downstairs of the hotel, and it is very convenient to walk to the entrance of the scenic spot.

Liping Zhaoxing Dong Village - the first village in Dong Township

We started from Pingtang Astronomical Town and went to Zhaoxing Dong Village, the largest Dong village in the country and the hometown of Drum Tower culture and art.

Zhaoxing Dongzhai was selected as one of the "Six Most Beautiful Ancient Villages in China" by "China National Geographic" in 2005, and was selected as "the most attractive town in the world" by "Fashion Travel" and "National Geographic" in the United States in 2007. It is one of the "33 Tourist Destinations", and it is also the location of the Qiandongnan branch of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala in 2018.

🚗Address: Southeast of Liping County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, Guizhou Province

💰Fee: The shuttle bus is 20 yuan/person, about 3 kilometers from the entrance of the tourist center to the entrance of the main scenic spot in the village, and it takes about 10 minutes to take the shuttle bus

🅿️Parking: There is a parking lot outside the visitor center, and the parking fee is 30 yuan for 24 hours.

After the May Day holiday and the epidemic situation has not yet been completely lifted, there are very few tourists on the streets of the ancient town, and the welcome performances and Dong singing and dancing performances in the ancient town have also been temporarily cancelled, which has become a great regret for this trip

In the stockade, I saw an old man selling bamboo weaving. The bamboo weaving of the Dong people is mainly spread in Liping, Guizhou Province. Bamboo weaving crafts include bamboo hats, back baskets, baskets, fishing baskets, and sewing boxes. Bamboo-woven fishing baskets are very unique in shape. The mouth of the fishing basket is small and the lower part is larger, shaped like a gourd. It can be tied around the waist and used to hold fish, shrimp, loach, and snails.

The tie-dye shop of Dong girls in the village

The Zhaoxing Dong Village is divided into internal surnames and external surnames, and all external surnames are Lu Dong. It is divided into five major Fang clans, which are separated into five natural areas. There are five groups in total. The Fifth Regiment has five drum towers, five flower bridges and five theater stages. The village is surrounded by mountains, and the houses in the village are all wooden structures. It can be seen that the workmanship is particularly fine, and the details are very beautifully painted. The panorama of the Dong village is even more beautiful when the lights are turned on at night.

The tradition of the Dong people in Rentuan Huaqiao - blowing Lusheng and giving sweet wine. Lusheng is also a representative musical instrument of the Dong people. The skillful craftsmen of the Dong people can make all kinds of reeds by using three materials: bamboo, wood and copper, and the sound they blow out is crisp, loud, thick and pleasant. The famous "Lusheng Dance" is also a traditional folk dance of the Dong nationality.

🍚For dinner, we found Renhe, who has opened a store in the village for more than 7 years, to eat. It is next to the VIP building opposite the Rentuan Drum Tower. We ordered three dishes: signature beef in sour soup, fried wild vegetables, and scrambled eggs with local leeks. His sour soup beef is really good and worth a try. The local leeks are too old and not recommended.

At the roadside stall, I bought a local specialty glutinous rice wrapped barbecue with minced sauerkraut in it. It tastes very fragrant and refreshing (😊ignore those black hands👋)

Taking advantage of the good weather that night, I went to the viewing platform to take pictures. The viewing platform is on the mountain where the shuttle bus gets off and walks back 50m, and it takes 5 minutes to walk up the stairs. Standing here, you can see the entire village, and it is also the best place to take a panoramic view of the Dong village. It's a pity that I forgot to take a tripod when I came out of the hotel, and finally had to stand on the viewing platform and hold the night view of Zhaoxing Dong Village with a 100-400 focal length lens, but I can still see Wutuan clearly.

The next day, it was raining in the village, and the panorama of the Dong village under the rainy weather was taken at the shuttle bus

【Live in Zhaoxing Dong Village】

There are not many tourists after May Day, so the accommodation options are very large, and there is no need to queue up for the shuttle bus. The three of us came in and out like a special car. I booked an inn in Zhainei online in advance. The room is relatively large, and two 1.5m beds are enough to sleep. The scenery of the river outside the window is also good, standing at the window you can see the gate of the village.

After staying in the village for one night, I woke up and opened the window in the morning to find that it was raining in the village. The air in the village was good, but the temperature was relatively low when it rained. The homestay has a pink-clawed kitten, which is a family and mischievous little guy. When I woke up in the morning and opened the door, I jumped into our room. When we were about to leave the store, I leaned on my tripod and refused to leave.
