This is the second time I went to Qinghai, I thought I already knew what Qinghai looked like.
I have been to Qinghai Lake and Chaika Salt Lake, so I thought I knew the customs of Qinghai, and then I found out that I was only passing through Qinghai. Only then did I know that the real Qinghai is like this.
Fly from Shanghai to Xining, and from Xining to Delingha, the state capital of Haixi Prefecture.
I didn't know Delingha before, but later I gradually got to know it, and I really fell in love with it.
Haixi Prefecture has a large area, almost occupying half of the entire Qinghai Province. Delingha, the capital of Haixi Prefecture, is a beautiful place on the Qingan-Gansu Ring Road. Many people who have walked through the Qingan-Gansu Ring Road should be familiar with this place. Look I have passed Chaka Salt Lake and seen Zhangye Danxia landform, but after I discovered the beauty of Dachaidan in Haixi Prefecture, I realized that the scenery in the world is far more beautiful than you imagined, but you have not discovered it.
During our days in Haixi, Qinghai, we went to Jinzihai, Dulan Ranch, Dachaidan’s Emerald Lake, and the most beautiful Yadan on the water. Although the journey is a bit hard, we can encounter something different every day. The scenery is worth it all.
Put away the sea of gold
Jinzihai was the first scenic spot we went to. After lunch from Delingha, we went all the way south and drove for two or three hours to Jinzihai. Because the places I went to were all places to be developed, the road conditions in some sections were not good. . Perhaps the beautiful scenery can only be discovered after tossing. I like the vastness and emptiness of Qinghai, which will make me feel good.
The area of Jinzihai is not very large, one side is the grassland and the other is the desert. Walking from the grassland to the top of the desert, watching the herds of cows and horses running on the grassland in the distance is very spectacular.
It was almost evening when we arrived at Jinzihai. The light was not so strong, but it was very suitable for taking portraits. We could look for some places with water and grass to shoot. Many people don't know how to take pictures when they go to some scenic spots. They really need to discover good places by themselves.
There are not many tourists here, so the place where no one is disturbed is really very comfortable. Walking in the desert in the evening, looking into the distance, chatting with the people around you, it seems that you have forgotten the time, and it is slowly getting dark like that.
When we left Jinzihai, a car came here to take portraits. The girls were very well-dressed, with a professional photography team. It must be very beautiful to take portraits in such a beautiful place.
The current Jinzihai has not been developed much, and there are not many people who know it here, so we are the first batch of tourists to set foot here. After traveling for a long time, we really like such an authentic place, maybe not as gorgeous as the decoration. , not so much famous, but the beautiful place will always surprise the eyes of others.
Put away Dulan Ranch
We stayed in Dulan the night we left from Jinzihai, and we went to Dulan Ranch the next day. Although Dulan Ranch is located in Dulan County, Dulan has a large area. It takes one and a half hours to drive from the county to get off the highway, and then go on a road with poor road conditions. , There is only one driver in our car, so we hired a local old driver who is familiar with the road conditions to drive us.
The driver was very powerful. We climbed over mountains, waded across rivers, and walked along cliffs. It was dangerous along the way, but we could really see beautiful scenery on the dangerous road.
The mountains in Qinghai are always bare. Because of the dryness and lack of oxygen, many plants cannot grow here, which also forms the unique landform here. The Dulan Ranch is very large. We drove for three or four hours, but only passed through a corner of the ranch. The scenery along the way is beautiful, and we can see many precious protected animals, such as Tibetan antelopes, marmots, etc., at night There are many wolf packs here.
The landscape and landforms here are very peculiar, with red, blue, green, and white waters. Many people think that this is a foreign country, but I want to say that many scenic spots in our country are really no less than foreign scenery.
The weather in Qinghai was not good for a few days, there will always be some dark clouds blocking our light. There is a yurt inside the Dulan Ranch. We drove to the yurt to eat roasted whole sheep. Because Haixi is a Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, it is a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural place. Dulan Ranch is the Mongolian style.
Leaving from the yurt in Dulan Ranch, it took about 2 hours to drive to the highway. We drove all the way from 4 o'clock. We were afraid that the road conditions would be bad after dark. We drove very fast, but we must also pay attention to safety. The sun is slowly setting, the light is getting softer and softer, and the grass on the side of the road is very gorgeous.
There are many dandelions and wheat fields on the side of the road. We drove all the way and parked all the way. We took pictures when we saw the beautiful scenery, so we took many beautiful photos, but it was very late when we walked through the pasture. We got to a place, maybe a town, where the driver's house was, and he got out of the car. We continued to drive on the highway and drove to Delingha, and just like that, a day passed.
Collapse Emerald Lake
On the third day, we drove from Delingha to Dachaidan. Both Dachaidan and Delingha are important scenic spots on the Qinggan Ring Road. Delingha has humanities and Dachaidan has landforms. Here is a scenic spot integrating grassland, desert, Gobi, starry sky, Yadan landform, salt lake and so on.
Self-driving itself doesn't care about the destination, but the scenery along the way. There are beautiful scenery on the road in good places. Our daily itinerary requires a long drive to a destination. The place we are going to today is called Emerald Lake. This is the place that all of us are most looking forward to, because it is much more beautiful than Chaka Salt Lake.
We drove for three or four hours to Dachaidan. After lunch at Dachaidan, we can reach Emerald Lake within a dozen kilometers. We drove in from a chemical factory, drove in, and slowly saw some lakes. The green appearance of the lake is very beautiful, and the lake becomes greener and clearer as you go in.
Gradually we can see some tourists, say more or less, after all, this is a scenic spot on the Qinggan Line. I used a drone to take aerial photos here, because there is not only one lake here like Chaka Salt Lake, there are many lakes here, so it is very spectacular from the perspective of aerial photography, like several emeralds falling on this beautiful planet.
For a long time, we have compared this place with Chaka Salt Lake. The lack of environmental protection of Chaka Salt Lake has led to the deterioration of the ecology of Chaka Salt Lake and serious environmental pollution. Moreover, tourists gather together to shoot at a certain point, so anyone who has been to Chaka Salt Lake now knows that there are many people there, and it is difficult to take a clean picture.
Not long after the Emerald Lake was discovered by tourists, the tourism here has not yet been developed. There are many lakes, which can be scattered in different places to take pictures and play. It will become a future Internet celebrity scenic spot, so the environmental protection and tourism here also need to learn from the experience of other places, so that tourists can take pictures here happily, and also take into account the large amount of garbage brought by tourists to protect the environment here.
There are not only green emeralds here, but also a red lake. Because the person who led the team had been there, we first arrived at this red lake to take pictures. The soil and salt on the ground were very loose. I accidentally stepped in and stepped on the mud. So pay attention to safety when shooting, as a lot of mud is easy to sink into.
Put away Yadan on the water
On the fourth day we went to Wusute Water Yadan, because there was no accommodation in Dachaidan, we left from Emerald Lake and stayed in a hotel in Qaidam, then on the fourth day we repeated the journey to Dachaidan, and then walked along the Along the 315 National Highway, Wanshang Yadan is on the water.
We drive by ourselves most of the time every day, because the destination is about 4 hours by car every day, and the round trip looks like eight hours, so we bought a lot of food and drink in the car, and enjoyed ourselves all the way. Get out of the car and take pictures when you see the scenery along the way.
National Highway 315 has two hillsides. There are many tourists taking pictures here. The reddish-brown desert and the road are really beautiful when standing in the middle of the road. It’s just that when shooting, it’s easy for cars to come from behind, and it’s downhill, so big trucks can’t stop, so although taking pictures here is beautiful, it’s also very dangerous. You have to look back at any time to see if there are any trucks behind.
Because we wanted to shoot the evening light, we slept late in the morning and didn't set off so early. It is also destined that we will go back very late at night. It was 4:30 when we arrived at Shuishang Yadan, and we only had one and a half hours of shooting time, so everyone wandered around and took pictures.
This is said to be the only Yadan landform on water. As for whether it is the only one in China or the only one in the world, I don’t know. These prominent landforms stand upright in the water, and they are also very spectacular when photographed. The climate here is dry, and many geckos and other creatures can be seen on the ground at any time.
The temperature difference in Qinghai is very large, so you have to wear short-sleeved, sweater, and down jacket in the morning and evening. The weather in Qinghai is also unpredictable. Sometimes it is cloudless, and sometimes it is cloudy. Sometimes we encounter bad light when we take pictures, and sometimes it comes suddenly A beam of light makes the picture look good.
The area here is very large, and it is impossible to go very far. There are some good shooting locations along the way for tourists to take pictures, and you can take pictures of the most open places in Yadan. But aerial photography can see the landform here more intuitively. The water here is not as green as Emerald Lake, but it is another artistic conception.
There are also some tourists in this place, but not many. It is 2 hours away from Dachaidan. Many tourists are unwilling to come here from the Qinggan Line, but the scenery here is very beautiful. In the future, there will always be people who are willing to come here to see the lineup of Yadan on the water. It's like there is an extra road to Daocheng Yading on National Highway 318.
Delingha
In addition to going to a long-distance scenic spot every day, I returned to Delingha on the last day and visited some museums and memorial halls in Delingha. Know something about the culture and development of Delingha. After all, we people living in East China travel to the West. We don’t know the local development. It may develop very fast, but we always look at it from the perspective of the past.
There is an astronomical museum in Delingha, which displays the nine planets of the Milky Way and the relationship between them, as well as the contributions made by astronomers in history at home and abroad. We use concrete models and some special effects to understand each planet. The quality, relationship, and size of planets can help you understand astronomy through visual senses.
Afterwards, I went to the Haizi Poetry Exhibition Hall. Haizi was born in Huaining, Anhui Province. He lived in Delingha for a period of time and left poems in Delingha. It is said that she has a senior sister in Delingha. When I was in Lingha, I missed his senior sister very much, so I wrote "I'm in Delingha Tonight".
Today's Haizi Poetry Exhibition Hall displays many books about Haizi, and people often go there to sit and read the books. The books inside are neatly arranged, and the ground is also very clean. It should be cleaned by the staff every day. If you like poetry and literature, you should go shopping.
We also went to the Photovoltaic Museum in Delingha. This is the photovoltaic museum with the highest altitude. There are many advanced high-tech displays in it. I don’t know much about photovoltaics. I heard that the photovoltaics outside the museum were bought from abroad and can follow the sun. The direction of rotation is also the only one in China.
In the direction of the airport in Delingha City, there is a temple called One Tree Temple. This temple is a typical Tibetan Buddhist temple. There is a big tree in the temple. It is said that it was the seed brought back from Kumbum Monastery in the early 20th century. Therefore It is named One Tree Temple.
There are some statues about Tibetan Buddhism on display in the temple. Sometimes people of some religious beliefs will come here to pray and worship Buddha. The temple is not big, but it has a good reputation in Delingha. Maybe tourists will not pass by here, but there are Religious people can come here to hang out.
Afterwards we went to Cypress Mountain. The highest altitude of Cypress Mountain is 4600 meters. It is not very far from the city of Delingha. It is also very beautiful. Many photographers will come here to shoot the sunset. There are many precious protected animals on the mountain. For bad reasons, we didn't get a photo of the sunset.

From Shanghai to Delingha, I needed to fly to Xining first, so I found a good homestay near Xining Airport to stay in. It said it was in Fujian, but it was actually 18 kilometers away, and it took about 30 minutes to drive. Because Qinghai is very big, sometimes 18 kilometers is very close.
The B&B is called Fanmu Shabby House. In a community, the environment of the B&B is not bad, with many trees planted around it. Hotels in Qinghai do not have air-conditioning, so you need to cover the quilt at night, otherwise you will catch cold easily.
There are many room types to choose from, such as personal room, double room, standard room, single room and so on. The boss is very thoughtful, chatting with the owner of the homestay in the lobby at night, chatting about Qinghai's tourism and development, it is very beneficial to chat with others when going out.
The hotel we stayed in Delingha is called Moshang Star Hotel. The hotel is not very big, but it is very comfortable to live in. I don't like to live in very big five-star hotels. The facilities of many hotels are not bigger than those of five-star hotels, so I can't live in them alone. The room is comfortable.
I like the Starry Sky Hotel in the Moshang, the decoration is full of literature and art. It was very late when we returned to Delingha from the scenic spot. The hotel prepared fruit, yogurt, etc. in the room, and we can eat some fruit when we are hungry at night.
Put away the food
When it comes to Qinghai cuisine, lamb is inseparable. There are a lot of pasta and mutton in Qinghai and Gansu, as well as potatoes, peppers, and large plate chicken. The mutton here is very authentic, and sometimes a mutton is killed and roasted for us.
The potatoes here are delicious, and Northwesterners are very good at making potatoes. People who like Northwestern cuisine must eat enough here. Mutton will not gain weight, but mutton is not very digestible. Southerners may not be used to it if they eat it every day. They can drink more water or prepare some fire-reducing medicines.
In addition to local beef and mutton, Qinghai also has many Sichuan dishes. There are a lot of Sichuan people doing business in Qinghai, so it is not surprising to see Sichuan restaurants here. During our few days in Qinghai, in addition to eating lamb, we also ate several Sichuan dishes. Of course, there are many cuisines from other places.

When I came to Qinghai for the second time, my impression changed a lot. I did not go to Qinghai Lake or Chaka Salt Lake. I go to some undeveloped beautiful scenery, I like quiet places, I can run on the prairie, I can think in the desert. I can take pictures on the national road, and I can go to these beautiful places to enjoy the wind.
Qinghai is beautiful, which has refreshed my understanding of the beauty of China. Not all the beauty is in foreign countries, and our Chinese land also has amazing landforms. We drove freely on the road in Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai, sometimes joking, sometimes singing in the car, looking for friends, driving a car, and traveling to Qinghai.
