Taking advantage of the three-day Qingming holiday, I will drive to Shanxi, one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation, which has a long history, rich humanities, profound Yellow River culture, numerous places of interest and magnificent scenery. Due to the sudden spring snowfall on the 5th and 6th, the order of the itinerary has been temporarily changed: Beijing → Changjia Courtyard → Qinxian Songcun → Datong Yungang Grottoes → Yingxian Wooden Pagoda → Hunyuan Hengshan Hanging Temple → Beijing. The total mileage of self-driving in three days is more than 1600 kilometers.

       On the first day of April 5th, departed from Beijing at 5:30 in the morning and drove 542㎞ along the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau, Beijing-Kunming, and Erguang Expressways. It took 9 hours to arrive at the largest manor-style building complex in China and the largest Shanxi Merchants University at 14:25. It is known as the "Changjia Manor" of the Chang family in Chewang Village, Dongyang Town, Yuci, known as the "Confucian family".

        On the way, take a short rest in the service areas of Laishuixi, Xingtang and Yuxian. There are a lot of vehicles on the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway. After turning into the Beijing-Kunming Expressway, there are few vehicles. Due to the impact of snow and fog in the northern section of Jingxing, the Luanzhuang Tunnel to the Hebei Toll Station is seriously congested for nearly 2㎞. During the period, I arrived in Taiyuan at 12:00 and had lunch at Yugang Congee and Noodles in Wanda Plaza. 13:30 to continue the journey.

        Visit "Changjia Manor" for an hour and a half. Depart at 16:00 and drive 102㎞ along the Erguang Expressway and Guangzhou Expressway. It takes 1 hour and 30 minutes to arrive at Wuxiang County, the "Former Site of the Eighth Route Army Headquarters" at 17:30. After completing the check-in procedures at the Business Express Hotel, I went to Qinxian County for a tour, and returned to the hotel after dinner, ending the day's trip.

       On the second day of April 6th, depart from the hotel at 6:00, first go to Songcun, Qinxian County, and then return to the hotel. After breakfast, depart at 8:05 and drive along Erguang, Yuqi, Jingkun, Erguang, Jingda Expressway 433 ㎞, it took 6 hours and 5 minutes to arrive at the southern foot of Xiwu Zhoushan Mountain in Datong City. It is one of the largest ancient grottoes in China and a world-famous art treasure house. The Jishan Grottoes are collectively known as the "Yungang Grottoes".

        On the way, stop at Taiyuan East, Daying, and Huairen service areas. Have lunch at Daying service area.

        The Yungang Grottoes Group is divided into three parts: east, middle and west. The eastern group consists of caves 1-4, the central group consists of caves 5-20, and the western group consists of caves 21-45. We visited from east to west for 2 hours. At 10 minutes, drive 15㎞ back to downtown Datong at 16:20, arrive at the scheduled Home Inn in Datong Ancient City Hualin Xintiandi at 16:50, check in, and come to the "Fenglin Pavilion" restaurant in the ancient city of Datong for dinner, tasting Datong cuisine.

        On the third day of April 6th, depart at 7:25 after breakfast and drive 79㎞ along the Jingda and Erguang expressways, and arrive at Fogong Temple in the northwest of Ying County, Shuozhou City at 8:40 in 1 hour and 15 minutes. The Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Eiffel Tower in Paris are also known as the world's three largest pagodas, the "Yingxian Fogong Temple Sakyamuni Pagoda", commonly known as "Yingxian Wooden Pagoda", also known as Yingzhou Pagoda and Sakyamuni Pagoda. The Buddhist Pagoda in Yingxian County is 67.31 meters high. Inside the pagoda are enshrined two sacred relics of the Buddha's tooth, which are recognized as the relics of Sakyamuni's spiritual tooth.

        Visit Yingxian Wooden Pagoda for 50 minutes, drive along the Rongwu and Tianli expressways for 58㎞ at 9:30, and arrive at the holy place of Quanzhen School, the mainstream of Taoism, at 10:20 in 50 minutes, "Beiyue Hengshan", one of the five mountains, west of Jinlong Gorge Among the cliffs of Cuiping Peak, there is a slang saying "hanging temple, half a sky high, with three horsetails hanging in the air". It is famous for its precipitousness like facing an abyss. "Hanging Temple".

        After boarding the tour, depart at 12:05 to go to the "Little Daughter-in-law Jelly Shop" in Hunyuan County, which is highly rated by the public, for lunch, and taste the famous "Hunyuan Jelly".       

       Return at 13:20 after the meal. Drive 335㎞ along the Tianli, Rongwu, Zhangshi, Lailai, Jingkun, and Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau expressways, and arrive home at 20:10 at 8:05. On the way, stop at Wangzhuangbao, Yuanyuan, and Yixian County , Hancunhe Expressway service area to rest. On the way back, there were many road constructions and accidents, which took time on the road.
