There is no turning back in the water forest. There are signboards on the side of the road, pointing to the lower and upper directions respectively. Because Xiaoqikong has a west gate and an east gate, the tour routes of the two places are exactly opposite, so the directions are also opposite.
There were a lot of people getting off the bus, and when they walked to the entrance, they looked like a tourist group, and they opened up after walking a short distance. Some people want to stop to take pictures, some rush forward with the wind under their feet, and some even go to the side road. The area of the forest on the water is not small, so once people disperse, it seems very quiet.
This section of the road has a small slope, the river is not wide, and it seems a bit turbulent, and the passage from the upstream underground river may not be wide enough. Large and small shrubs are distributed along the river, and their roots have been washed away by the water for many years, but they still grow luxuriantly. Perhaps they have long adapted to such torrents and are happy with such a living environment.
There are also some trees on the shore, and the growth is also very gratifying. However, these trees are not too tall, maybe the environment where the root system is constantly scoured cannot support them to grow faster?
In some places, waterfalls are formed due to the drop. Although the scale is not large, the white clouds turning between the trees make the color of the trees more green. This kind of green is not thick green, but fresh with water vapor, like a piece of high-quality jadeite, and the rushing small waterfall is an unavoidable flocculent substance in jadeite, although it cannot reach the quality of ice species. , but also because of these flocculents, the jadeite has infinite possibilities of change.
Some places are relatively gentle, and you can see the bottom of the river at a glance, which can be called fine detail. Of course, the river itself is not deep. If the weather is hotter, in summer, tourists may not be able to resist rolling up their trouser legs and walking for a certain distance in the river to experience the summer shade.
There are also ferns growing on the big rocks. These ancient plants are extremely tenacious, and the humid climate is also their favorite environment.
To say that this is also a famous scenic spot in Xiaoqikong, but in fact, there are similar landscapes in many places. Although you can breathe deep oxygen and the scenery is not bad, I think it is still not as good as the section of the 60-level waterfall, so follow along After the road was over, I didn't go back and walk for a while to experience it carefully.
It was only when I walked to the exit that I saw a reminder that it is not recommended to visit this attraction for the elderly, the weak, the sick, and the disabled. Although the requirements for physical strength are not high, due to the long-term rush of the river through the forest on the riverbed, after years of erosion, there is no grain of sand on the riverbed, and even the stones have been rounded. If the infirm accidentally slips and falls, it is easy to fall into the river. Especially in summer, it is estimated that many people will not be able to resist going down the river, and it will still be a little dangerous at that time. Therefore, although Xiaoqikong lists the water forest as an essential scenic spot, it still warmly reminds tourists to do what they can. After all, although the scenery is beautiful, safety is also very important. Maybe we also have this sign at the entrance of Turtle Mountain, but we missed it at the time.
Out of the water forest, there is a large low and shallow river bed facing you, which is very wide, as if a thin layer of water has been spread on the flat ground, flowing peacefully along the gentle slope. There was a familiar booming sound in my ears, and there was another waterfall!
Cuigu Waterfall is the waterfall with the largest drop in Xiaoqikong, with a height of more than 60 meters. While still in the distance, one could see a white line pouring down the sloping rock. Because the rocks are irregular, convex or flat, the waterfall is divided into multiple water streams, crossing and shuttling among the dense vegetation, like a jade belt between the mountains. Surrounded by mountains and ridges, green vegetation, regardless of the rush of water, it is a beautiful visual enjoyment.
Only when you get close can you truly appreciate the height of Cuigu Waterfall, which really needs to be looked up to! The waterfall appears between the two mountains, after a multi-level drop, it gushes out from the pass near the mountain, and the steepest part is about 70 or 80 degrees. However, because it is descending continuously along the mountain, it does not have the majestic momentum of a thousand miles. On the contrary, it looks more gentle and free because it falls in stages between the rocks. Even though the roar is endless, the waterfall itself gives people a sense of tranquility.
Perhaps it is not as majestic as the most famous Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou, but its graceful lines have a unique flavor.

Bell Grylls, the number one survivor in the wild, joined hands with Jiang Changjian to bring many stars to survive in the wilderness. The reality show is not much to watch, but the scenery is really good.
This is the uppermost and lower Jiding villages on the uppermost reaches of the Xiangshui River, and it is a closed fengcong depression. The mountains are green, the wilderness is verdant, and the surrounding peaks are tightly locked. Because it is named "Green Valley", it is well-deserved.
There are many tourists gathered in front of the waterfall, but not many people really appreciate the waterfall. Most of them are queuing up to take a photo with the waterfall. They probably want to take the Cuigu Waterfall back to enjoy it slowly.
There is a wide river beside the waterfall, the water is very clear, and small fish are swimming leisurely in it. The vegetation is lush, but it is not a dense jungle like the water forest. The water is calm and the current is gentle, just like this enclosed depression, quiet and soft.
The wide river valley is divided into several pools either naturally or artificially, and the small island in the middle may be accessible by trails, or just isolated, which is called Green Valley Wetland. The shallow grass that can only be less than the height of the horseshoe grows in a disorderly manner. It seems that it has not been trimmed and refined, but it has a wild charm. In this peaceful land, it is suitable for such natural and unadorned wildness.
Going forward, there is a large waterfall with a small drop, which looks very gentle. Above the upper waterfall is a rather gentle pool, and there are actually cruise ships paddling along the lines of the waterfall, and the peaks are the background of this quiet waterfall.
After a section of hydrophilic plank road, it is the quiet Shangjiding Lake. The surface of the water is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the peaks, as if people can see the landscape of Guilin. Here, like Guilin, is a southern karst. Where there are mountains and water, there is a spirit of beauty. The water pool is quite large, so it can completely reflect the surrounding peaks and mountains. There are peaks on the surface of the water, and there are peaks below. The role of the mirror image magnifies the emerald color here infinitely, and even the water pool is emerald green.
Walking back to the boarding point, this time it was not a tourist bus, but an open sightseeing bus, and passed by Shangjiding Lake again. From a little distance, this depression is really quiet like a girl raised in a deep boudoir.
