DAY1 Shanghai - Urumqi
To say that Kanas in winter has given me a surprise, then autumn is a matter of course. I think this place, I must come, and I should come. Of course, there will be Kanas, a place that cannot be missed in my life.
In fact, it takes a long time to fly from the eastern coastal areas to the west, and you can probably go abroad once, as a result of the vast territory.
It takes about 5 hours to arrive in Urumqi, refresh and fly to Kanas the next day.

What's more convenient than last time is that this time there is a direct flight to Kanas, which takes about 1 hour. There is also a bus to the scenic spot after arriving in Kanas, so the transportation is very convenient.

DAY3 Kanas Lake Fish Watching Terrace-Fox Bookstore-Birch Forest-Shouting Spring
Guanyutai, if you go there in the morning, it will be a little frosty, so be careful when walking.
The shuttle bus can go to the middle of the mountain, and then climb 1068 steps to get there. Although the number of steps is scary, in fact, while watching the scenery, taking pictures, and strolling, it is said that some people reached the top in 7 minutes.
When the weather is better, you can see the Friendship Peak on the border.
All the way, all the way up, overlooking Kanas Lake.
There is a sense of accomplishment when you get to the top.
"Guanyutai" is built on the "Halakite" mountain at an altitude of 2030 meters, which means Korean pine forest in Mongolian. It also has a Kazakh name called Naurkesh, which means a dromedary camel.

I talked about the color change of the lake earlier. If you have read my previous travel notes, you will probably find that the color is indeed different.

The Liudao Bay of Kanas Lake is actually six landscapes, each of which is different and has its own characteristics, but they are all fascinating. It can be summed up in six words: ancient, strange, strong, beautiful, god, and strange.
Sandaowan is what we usually reach.

How to get to Shouting Spring:
1.) Riding a horse. Riding a horse from the transfer center to Shouting Spring takes about 1.5 hours round trip.
2.) On foot. Take the shuttle bus from the transfer center to Kanas New Village, about 10 minutes, then walk to Shouting Spring, about 3 hours round trip.
My friends and I walked there on foot, the road is relatively easy to walk, and we can enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way.
I also saw many people galloping on horseback.
There are many spots where you can take pictures along the way, so you don’t need to run in a hurry. The sunset in Xinjiang is relatively late, so you don’t have to worry about getting too late or getting dark, just grasp the time.
From the plank road, you can walk to the place where there is lightning strike wood.
The main pole is black, which is the lightning strike tree. But there are two pine trees growing in the middle of the withered birch tree. The local people think this is a sign of auspiciousness, so tourists passing by will touch the trunk to show good luck.

You can also go through the birch forest. Remember that if you want to change clothes and take pictures in the birch forest, you have to go earlier. If it is late, there is no sunlight and the light is different, and the texture of the photo will be completely different.
This is probably the place where the autumn colors of Kanas tempt me the most.

Shouting Spring is 1,332 meters above sea level and has a diameter of 2.5 meters. Shouting Spring has a peculiar phenomenon. When it is disturbed by external sound wave frequency and resonates, the spring water will gushes out, causing the sand to roll up and down. Shouting Spring is regarded by the locals as the water of the Holy Spring, surrounded by colored strips symbolizing auspiciousness. According to legend, Genghis Khan once used this water to heal wounds.
Going back to the west slant of the sun, carrying the camera on foot, and N lenses, is also quite strenuous.
DAY4 Kanas Lake Sanwan-Hemu-Star Camp Fire Party
Here, you can get up later because of the time difference.
Go to the transfer center and take a bus to Sanwan. Of course, you will pass Yaze Lake first.
Located in the south of Kanas Village, it is long and butterfly-shaped, with an altitude of 1335 meters, a length of about 2 kilometers, an average width of about 800 meters, and an area of about 1.3 square kilometers. It was formed by the front of the early Kanas Lake glacier terminal moraine swampy wetlands.
It is also a wetland swamp formed by the uplift of the earth's crust. The lake and the surrounding open swamps and grasslands are home to a wide variety of birds, and flocks of wild ducks, wild geese and swans often visit this place.

Second stop: Fairy Bay
At an altitude of 1327 meters, it is the widest section of the Kanas River due to the damming accumulated by the downstream debris flow and mountain collapse. The river flows slowly. Whether it is summer or winter, in the morning or after rain, there are always clouds and mists like veils, making people feel like a fairyland, so it is called "Shenxian Bay".
I went in winter and took a time-lapse shot here.
My personal favorite is Fairy Bay.
At this time, the weather is already cold, and you can see frost flowers. It is a good choice to take pictures in the frost flowers.
Also, be careful of slipping while walking. Although there are wooden plank roads, if you run fast, you will still fall.

Moon Bay (the roadside spring water is the holy spring of the local people, you can wash your hands, do not shake or dry the water on your hands after washing, let it dry naturally, which means full of blessing and good luck). Be sure to wash your hands.
The Kanas River forms a curved and rhythmic bend here, which looks like a crescent moon, hence the name Moon Bay. Moon Bay is 1326 meters above sea level. It is an extension of Wolong Bay and one of the most charming and representative landscapes in Kanas.
This is probably the most concentrated place in the Panorama Area.
