In a blink of an eye, another semester has passed, and the baby is on summer vacation again. The girl has been going to Beijing for several years. Since the first grade of elementary school, she has learned Chinese texts. The girl knows that Beijing raises the national flag, Chang'an Street, Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace... and has always been interested in it. We talked about going to Beijing to take a look. Then let’s make the trip this year. Although my husband and I visit Beijing at least twice a year because of our work, it still feels very different to accompany our baby this summer.

This trip, because my husband and I are more familiar with Beijing, so I was lazy and didn’t do any strategy, so let’s start the trip leisurely! Instead, it was my daughter who enthusiastically made a lot of strategies before the trip. The journey starts with a train ticket. Because I am accustomed to the fast pace of work and life, this time I strongly advocate that the family slow down, not rush or rush, and enjoy the process of traveling slowly. So the daughter who was on the soft sleeper for the first time also had the opportunity to sit in the train window and slowly enjoy the scenery outside the window.

Day 1: Nanluoguxiang, Lama Temple, Water Cube, Bird's Nest (accommodation: Guyunfang Yijing Hotel, No. 66, Ju'er Hutong)

The train arrived in Beijing at exactly 7:30 in the morning. Because the accommodation booked in advance was in Nanluoguxiang, the family of three took the luggage all the way to Nanluoguxiang by subway. Beijing’s ground traffic congestion is notorious throughout the country, so travel by subway as much as possible. In order to facilitate travel, a family of three each has a bus card. Not only can the subway be used but also the bus, and there is a deposit for the card. However, the deposit can be refunded at any transfer station. We arrived at Nanluoguxiang at about 8:00 in the morning. Most of the shops were not open yet. We followed "Du Niang" all the way to the reserved hotel. The hotel can only be checked in at 2:00 in the afternoon, so we handled luggage storage. After the formalities, just go out. I found a random breakfast shop in the alley, ate some buns and soy milk, and went directly to Lama Temple. The family who had breakfast decided to take a walk slowly. On the way, I came across a restaurant with more than 40 cats. The restaurant was not open yet. We asked to go in to see the cats, and the clerk kindly invited us in.

Finally, I dragged my daughter out of the cat and continued to move forward to Lama Temple. I rented an automatic tour guide at the entrance. Most of the attractions in Beijing have Chinese cultural heritage. Therefore, it is recommended to rent an automatic tour guide wherever you go, and listen to the explanation of the building and the narration of historical stories, so that children can also Learn more about history. Because the Lama Temple is a temple of Tibetan Buddhism, it is not allowed to take pictures in most of the halls, so we hardly took any pictures. Listening to the tour guide's narration all the way, a family of three visited while stopping and walking around for about two hours. . The daughter was already screaming that she was hungry. Walking out of the Lama Temple, I found the nearest "Yaoji Fried Liver". Fried liver and steamed stuffed buns are rare. The girl from the south also ate very happily, because she was too hungry and didn't have time to take pictures, so she didn't eat them all.

On the way back, I came across a fruit supermarket. The family was attracted by the big and fragrant Beijing peaches, and decided to buy a few. In the next few days, this peach will become the main fruit of the family of three. It is really delicious, haha!

Back at the hotel, although it was not two o'clock, the hotel said it was ready to check in. At that time, I only saw the special price room for the room I booked on "hornet's nest", but I didn't realize that there was no window. Anyway, most of the time should be played outside, so it doesn't matter. Apart from the smaller room and no windows, the hotel is still good, antique and decorated with old Beijing characteristics. The last two photos. The service of the hotel is very good, especially the security guard in the lobby. We bought watermelon and borrowed a fruit knife from him. The uncle was very enthusiastic to help us take the watermelon to the restaurant and cut it up before sending it over.

At noon, I took a nice nap in the hotel, and set off at around four in the afternoon. I originally wanted to go to Prince Gong's Mansion, but when I went out, I found that Nanluoguxiang, which was still deserted in the morning, was already full of people. It took a lot of effort to get out of Guxiang to the subway entrance, and it was already past five o'clock.

The following is Nanluoguxiang at four o'clock in the afternoon. There are so many people that it is difficult to walk.

Because it was getting dark, the family decided not to go to Prince Gong's Mansion, but to find a place to have a delicious meal of old Beijing mutton, and then go to see the night view of "Bird's Nest" and "Water Cube".

There are quite a lot of people in the "Bird's Nest" and "Water Cube" at night, but the square is big enough. The nights in Beijing in August are already relatively cool, and it is quite pleasant for the family to take a walk and take pictures in the cool. There are tickets for the "Water Cube" and "Bird's Nest" sold at the entrance, but we didn't buy them. First, we were tired after walking for a day. Second, we felt that it was enough to see the night view outside. We walked around the square for more than half an hour, and returned by the subway. Go to bed early at night to replenish your strength for the Great Wall the next day.

Day 2: Mutianyu Great Wall, Four Seasons Minfu Roast Duck

Of course, you must go to the Great Wall when you arrive in Beijing. The more famous Great Walls in Beijing include "Badaling" and "Mutianyu". Before coming, I checked with my friends. Convenience so less tourists. So our family decided to go to "Mutianyu", read the strategy on Ctrip, and booked the "Mu Bus" in advance. Arrive at the designated place in the morning, catch the earliest bus, and go directly to the Great Wall of Mu. The time was earlier, and the queue for the bus was not long, so I went straight up.

There are three ways to go up the Great Wall: car tour, slide, and walk. The slide is more exciting, and there are only a few foreigners queuing at the door. You can watch the Great Wall in the air house by taking the bus, take us to the starting point of the long-screen Great Wall, and then climb the Great Wall. Walking is actually probably climbing a hill to the starting point. So most people will choose to browse the Great Wall when they go to the Great Wall. Of course, there is also the most tyrannical way—helicopter, overlooking the Great Wall directly. This way is negligible for our family of three.

Below: The Great Wall seen from the car.

I heard that the Mu Great Wall is the steepest Great Wall, and my daughter was a little scared. In fact, it was just the beginning, and the road was easy to walk, because it was early and there were not many tourists. The family walked forward, talking and laughing, taking pictures while walking. The further you go, the steeper the steps become. Seeing "Heroic Pole" from a distance, my daughter began to have the idea of retreating.

Almost 90 degrees straight up, the height of the first step is almost half a meter, it really feels like the person above is stepping on the top of the head of the person below.

The road became steeper and the physical exertion became more and more serious. The girl started to lose her temper, but with her father's encouragement, she gradually calmed down and climbed to the top step by step. When we walked up to the peak fire platform at the highest point, we really had a kind of "heroic" pride.

With the pride of going up the mountain, the way down the mountain was much smoother. After about five hours, we returned to the foot of the mountain and took the Mu bus to return. In the car, everyone was hungry. I checked it with my mobile phone and found that there is a famous roast duck restaurant "Siji Minfu" next to the bus stop. After getting out of the car, around four o'clock, the family went straight to the store. Fortunately, I ran fast, and there was a long queue at the door of this store before five o'clock. The roast duck tastes very good, the skin is crispy and the meat is tender. Even I, who never eats all kinds of animal skins, couldn't help it, and even ate a good piece. Not only is the roast duck delicious, but their other Beijing dishes are also exquisite and delicious, which changed my impression of Beijing dishes being heavy and oily. Food, photos.

After the delicious meal, the family returned to the hotel. Only then did they realize that the transportation is really convenient. They only booked for two days, but decided to stay for another day.

Day 3: Forbidden City

The Forbidden City has already made an appointment through the Internet before the trip, and you can go in directly with your ID card. This is not the first time I have come to the Forbidden City, but it is definitely the time I have visited the Forbidden City with the most people. It is reported that during the summer vacation, the number of people received by the Forbidden City has basically reached the upper limit every day. I checked on the Internet before, and the Forbidden City is divided into three routes: the east route, the west route and the middle route. After entering, we can no longer follow the strategy. Of course, it is very necessary to rent a self-guided tour guide machine at the door. When you arrive at the first palace or scenic spot, the self-service tour guide will automatically sense and explain, so as to avoid the suspicion of idyllic viewing. Later, I found that there were too many tourists, and the self-guided tour guide was still practical. The real tour guides were everywhere and everyone was talking with a loudspeaker, and the tourists could hardly hear them clearly.

Self-guided tour guide in the Forbidden City

There are really many people, even though there are so many people, but it is the first time for my daughter to come, so our family still insists on going through the east, west and middle routes. The Treasure Hall reluctantly went in with the crowds to have a look. After coming out of the Treasure Hall, there was already a long queue at the entrance of the Clock and Watch Hall, and it was noon, the sun was shining brightly, and the family could only regret to leave. I spent about five hours in the Forbidden City and came out around three in the afternoon. For lunch, I simply ate some dry food. Walking out of the Forbidden City, I took my daughter to eat a dessert in Wangfujing to recover my strength, and decided to take a taxi to Prince Gong's Mansion to see if there was still time.

Anyone who has watched "Dream of Red Mansions" knows that many architectural styles of Grand View Garden are inspired by Prince Gong's Mansion, and Cao Xueqin himself is inextricably linked with Prince Gong's Mansion. My daughter, who is watching "Dream of Red Mansions" recently, also showed great interest in Prince Gong's Mansion. Prince Kung's Mansion does not need to make an appointment, and there is a line at the door to buy tickets. Of course, our family still rented an automatic tour guide. When I entered the mansion around 4:30 in the afternoon, I thought there would be fewer people, but after entering, I found that there were still many people, and there was a 100-meter long queue in front of the "Fu" signboard of Emperor Qianlong. The picture below is: people queuing up to see the stele with the word "Fu".

With the baby, we didn't go in line. Instead, walk between each building, listen to the introduction in the self-service tour guide, observe and experience the history and culture by the way. My daughter found many similarities with the landscape described in the Grand View Garden in "A Dream of Red Mansions" in Prince Kung's Mansion, and she was very excited. There was a "Dream of Red Mansions" cultural exhibition in Prince Kung's Mansion, but there were no people there. The three of us stayed there for almost an hour, carefully watching bit by bit.

Although it was already evening when we walked out of Prince Kung’s Mansion, the sky was still bright and the temperature dropped slowly. The family of three walked back to the hotel along Houhai, blowing the wind in Houhai. The singer's singing, when we hear something nice, we stop and listen. Walking leisurely back to Nanluoguxiang, I found the most famous "Fangzhuchang No. 69 Zhajiang Noodles". This Zhajiang Noodles became famous because Nicholas Tse came to film a food show, but after being famous, it still maintains its original appearance. There are only three foods in the store: Jajangmyeon, Arctic Ocean, and soy milk. The store will close when the sauce made on the day is sold out. We arrived around six o'clock, and there was a long queue outside the store. As long as you have a little patience, the turnover rate of the store is very fast, and the waiting time is quite fast.

The store is not big, but the Zhajiang noodles are really delicious and the portions are huge. Originally worried that a family of three would not be able to finish three servings, but it turned out that one big bowl for one person was all clean, and my daughter was more than satisfied.

After eating the noodles, on the way back to the hotel, I passed another cat restaurant, which turned out to be diagonally opposite the hotel where we were staying, but they hadn’t opened yet when we went out every morning. The daughter went in again to play with the cat for a while.

The following is taken during the day, in front of the cat's shop.

After playing with the cat for a while, I went back to the hotel for an early rest and prepared to get up early tomorrow to watch the flag raising.

Day 4 Watch the national flag raising, stay at the Great Wall Hotel, Ditan Park

I got up at 3:30 that morning, took a taxi and went straight to Tiananmen Square. When we arrived at the security check in Tiananmen Square, it was only after 4 o'clock in the morning, and there were already huge crowds of people. After queuing up to pass the security check, we finally found a place to stand among the crowd, and then we began to wait for a long time. There are too many people, and they hardly dare to leave after standing up. The human wall can really be described as three layers inside and outside.

queue for security check

The flag-raising starts on time when the sun rises. When the guard of honor comes out, the bustling square quiets down instantly, and the whole audience can hear the footsteps of the flag-raising team. When the national anthem is played in the square At that time, many people spontaneously sang together at the scene. At that moment, the pride of being a Chinese people came from the bottom of their hearts. The shock at the scene was indeed different from what they usually see on TV.

After the flag was raised, we followed the flow of people to the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, but because there were too many people and unfamiliar roads, the family of three walked around the huge square twice, but we couldn’t find the end of the line that entered the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall. Hey, after turning around twice, the sky was already bright, and I looked at the end of the line that could not be seen, and finally decided to go home! Leave a regret and continue next time.

The whole family packed their luggage and changed hotels to the Great Wall Hotel near Liangma Bridge. The room is much more spacious than the original one, and there is a free swimming pool and gym. My daughter couldn't wait to go swimming when she first checked in, and she didn't feel sleepy when she woke up at 3:30 in the morning.

In the past two days, I was frightened by the crowds at several scenic spots, so I and my husband carefully studied the strategy again. When deciding on the following itinerary, you must travel by subway as early as possible in the morning, and enter the scenic spots before the tour group arrives in large numbers.

After settling in, I saw that it was only in the afternoon, so I decided to go to Ditan Park. I thought about it on the way there. If there were too many people, I wouldn’t go in. After arriving, there were surprisingly few people, 2 yuan a piece Tickets are estimated to be rare in the whole country. Most of the park is full of old people who live nearby. The lotus is blooming and the scenery is very beautiful. Finally, you don’t have to rush to take pictures in crowded places. So I took a lot of nice photos.

After a leisurely stroll in Ditan Park for an afternoon, I returned to Liangma Bridge. Not far from the subway exit, I found a steamed stuffed bun shop ranked No. The group purchase coupons are very favorable. Three families of three ordered a 69.9 set meal. There are also a lot of snacks around, and Lu Ji bought some. The total cost is about 150 yuan, which is quite good. The food was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures, haha~~~

I was full at night, so I took the subway to the famous CCTV to watch the night view of "big underpants", then went back to the hotel, changed into a swimsuit, and swam for an hour, it was beautiful~~~.

Day 5 Yuanmingyuan, Peking University, Tsinghua University

In order to avoid the crowds, we set off at 6:30 in the morning. As soon as the Yuanming Garden opened, we entered the gate. Sure enough, there were very few people. Of course, the first thing you pay attention to when you arrive at Yuanmingyuan is its history that was damaged by the invasion of the "Eight-Power Allied Forces". My daughter had already learned that period of history at school before, and when she came to the scene and saw the strong contrast between the restored model and the scene, her daughter was still shocked.

When most people come to Yuanmingyuan, they basically go to the "diorama" in the picture above and return. In fact, Yuanmingyuan has undergone a hundred years of construction and reconstruction, and it is a rather large royal garden. This time, my husband, who has always relied on me to do the strategy, actually made the strategy himself and took us all the way. In fact, it is not the first time for me to visit Yuanmingyuan. Almost every time I come, I walk to this scenic spot and then return, and the time is up to two hours. This time we wandered around the garden for more than four hours. We didn't expect that there are so many beautiful scenery in Yuanmingyuan that we haven't visited before.

In the afternoon, I found a friend who graduated from Peking University to lead us to visit the most sacred university in my daughter's heart - Peking University. Because my friend used to be a student of Peking University and had an alumni card, we entered directly without an appointment. The alumni card must be brought in person, and an appointment must be made in advance to enter and exit Peking University and Tsinghua University. Of course, there are also many "second brothers" and "second sisters" at the gate of the school who say they can find ways to bring people in, and the asking price ranges from 80-100 yuan per person.

Peking University is indeed one of the most culturally low-level universities in China. All the buildings show a strong traditional Chinese style, and the long-known "Mo Ming Lake" is also picturesque. Lecture posters of various "big coffees" are posted on the campus, which is really enviable to the students studying here.

After leaving Peking University, Tsinghua University is not far away. I didn't borrow an alumni card, and someone at the door sold 80 yuan to take a person in. My daughter walked a lot today and said she was very tired. So I walked around the gate of Tsinghua University and took the subway back to the hotel. Dinner was yesterday's steamed stuffed bun. Unexpectedly, after eating steamed stuffed bun, my daughter came back to life and went to the hotel's swimming pool to swim for another hour.

Day 6 Summer Palace, National Museum of Natural History, Temple of Heaven

Today is the same, I also got up at 6:30 in the morning and set off before 7 o'clock. There were not many people on the subway, and the journey was smooth. When we arrived at the Summer Palace, before the garden gate opened, we ate breakfast at KFC at the entrance. As soon as the garden gate opened, we entered the garden immediately. There were not many tourists. Similarly, we rented an automatic tour guide, listening to historical stories, watching the scenery, and lamenting the luxurious life of "Lafayette".

When you arrive at the Summer Palace, you must take a boat tour on the lake. On the boat, you can watch the entire scenery on both sides of the bank. The breeze is gentle and very pleasant.

When we stayed in the Summer Palace for half a day, we left the garden at noon. All the way to the National Museum of Natural History. Because there was no way to make an appointment on the website before, this time I could only find a "second brother" at the door to negotiate the price and take us in. Naturally, each museum in the imperial capital has different responses. It is really good to visit the museums from the hottest time in the afternoon to the afternoon.

When you come out of the museum, there is the Temple of Heaven on the side. Take your daughter and go directly to see the place where the royal priests used to be. My daughter gained a lot of historical knowledge.

Seventh day, return

Today is the day we will leave Beijing and return home. It was agreed early that we would have a good meal in Beijing at noon today before returning. When I got up early in the morning, my daughter said that she wanted to go swimming. Her father took her to go swimming, and I packed my luggage in the room.

At about 10:00, we packed our luggage, checked out the room, walked around the embassy area near Liangma River, and then went to "Dadong" to eat roast duck. The dishes of "Da Dong" are really exquisite, and the taste of the roast duck is very good. We originally ordered half a duck, and then added another half.

The trip to Beijing ended happily in this delicious food.
