After a short stay in Hami, Xinjiang, we came to Tianshan Scenic Area on July 17. We had been here last autumn, and it was a world of ice and snow. This year, I went to Tianchi for the second time. (Cartoon does not need to buy a ticket, and the round-trip tour bus costs 90 yuan)

Leaving Yada Center, our itinerary plan is to go to Xinjiang Provincial Highway 101 to see the Yadan landform. However, the entire Provincial Highway 101 is a gravel road, and the mountain road is rugged, and some sections of the road are very bumpy. It is more difficult to drive in case of rain. We solicited the opinions of several elders over 65 years old, and everyone responded: No problem, we can do it!
101 Provincial Highway 0 km starting point
At 10 a.m. on July 18, starting from the zero kilometer of the starting point of Provincial Highway 101, two overbearing vehicles drove on the unusual washboard road.
Sure enough, the sky was covered with dark clouds and it rained heavily. The rain soaked the gravel road. On the bumpy and muddy road, the expected Yardang landform did not appear for a long time.
After the wind and rain, I was surprised to find that one step at a time, the scenery is spectacular.
Yadan in the rainy weather is shrouded in light mist, appearing and disappearing from time to time.
After gradually clearing up, Yadan looks like ravines, green meadows and brown mountains from a close view, and the rolling Yadan Mountains from a distance. It is colorful, hazy and mysterious like an oil painting.
Yadan under the blue sky and white clouds, the scenery after the rain is particularly spectacular, and the landscape of Yadan along the road is majestic and breathtaking. This is an extremely rare visual enjoyment, which can only be experienced by being there.
Yadan, which is as green as a silk carpet, has a picture-like beauty that cannot be expressed and described in words.
Provincial Highway 101 is an extremely difficult and bumpy road. It is a national defense highway built in the 1960s for war preparations. Due to abandonment and disrepair, the road condition is very poor. The infinite scenery is on the dangerous peak. Thanks to Lao Zhao and Xiao Ma, who are also drivers, photographers and planners of this trip, they chose Provincial Highway 101 and brought us into the beautiful Yadan landform where mountains and rain blend together. In the scenery of Baili Danxia, a kind of unprecedented shock and joy of being integrated with nature arises spontaneously. This is unparalleled enjoyment. Those tourists who sign up for a group and participate in a travel agency cannot feel and appreciate the stunning and beautiful scenery on Provincial Highway 101.

The original plan was to start from the zero kilometer of Provincial Highway 101. After viewing the Yadan landform along the road, we stayed at Qiaoerma that night. When we traveled three quarters of the journey, we had to divert to Shawan County due to road construction on Provincial Highway 101 ahead.
I tasted the famous dish of Shawan, the big plate chicken. The color and fragrance are well-deserved. The air-dried beef is delicious. Haha, this is only half, a total of eight plates.
After bathing in Shawan County, Dabai has a completely new look.
On the morning of July 19th, depart from Shawan County and go straight to Anjihai Grand Canyon. Anjihai Grand Canyon is also called Hongshan Grand Canyon. When the vehicle goes there, there is no sign of the scenic spot. Walking on the wide gravel road, there is a flat river in front of the car, and there is no sign of the imaginary canyon.
Get off the car and pass by passers-by, in fact, the canyon is more than 100 meters ahead on the left.
When I saw the Grand Canyon, my eyes were dazzled for a while. The flat ground about 1 meter in front of my feet was like a deep sinkhole. Shock is spectacular.
The Anjihai Grand Canyon is sparsely populated and undeveloped, so there is no need to buy tickets.
When standing on the edge of the cliff to take pictures, the chilling feeling can only be experienced by those who have personally visited the edge of the canyon. Hehe, with a sly smile, he is still a warm man at the moment.
Leaving the Anjihai Grand Canyon, Provincial Highway 101 was muddy and narrow with sharp turns due to the rain yesterday. Fortunately, the two overbearing vehicles are very powerful, not to mention the drivers are all masters. At 12:00 noon, we ended the bumpy and muddy road on the gravel road for a day and a half, bid farewell to Provincial Highway 101, set foot on the flat and comfortable Duku Highway, and drove to Qiaoerma. There are 168 road construction fighters buried there, who sacrificed their precious lives in the extremely difficult mountain and road construction. I came to Qiaoerma to pay tribute to them!
The Duku Highway is the shortest road from northern Xinjiang to southern Xinjiang, with a total length of more than 500 kilometers.

On July 20, we left Sailimu Lake and went to Yizhao Highway on the way to Zhaosu.
When I arrived in Yili on July 21, I was prepared not to see a large area of lavender, but unexpectedly, the guard and commentator of Aiduo Manor said: Ili lavender is open at least twice a year, and the first season is in May. From the end of the month to the middle of June, harvest once at the end of June. The second season is from the end of July to mid-August, and there will be another harvest at the end of September. Haha, we came at the right time.
