I have always wanted to come to Chengde Mountain Resort, the largest of the four famous gardens in China. It takes the origin of natural mountains and rivers and embraces the scenery of the south and the north. It not only has the style of southern gardens, but also follows the exquisite techniques of northern architecture. Combined with the typical royal gardens, you can visit the different scenery in the north, south, east and west of China in one day.
It is said on the Internet that people who have been there have broken their legs and must buy a traffic ticket. Curiosity drove me to check it out. In the end, I didn’t know if I didn’t check it. I found that it was 8 times larger than the Forbidden City, so I decisively used my money to buy a ticket. I sincerely tell everyone that I must buy a ticket!

At 9:50, I arrived at the main entrance of the Summer Resort to find the exclusive tour guide, and then I started my trip to the mountain~
① Palace area
First, I visited the museum in the palace area to feel its historical traces and the splendor of the royal palace architecture. Among them, in the "Danbo Jingcheng" hall, the emperor has accepted the worship of envoys from all over the world.
②Mountain line
After coming out of the museum, you will take a mountain bike to tour the mountainous area. The mountainous area accounts for 80% of the entire summer resort area. There are three stops in total (Simian Yunshan - Erma Road - Qingfeng Green Island). This is the commanding height of the Mountain Resort. The mountainous area can give you a bird's-eye view of the whole city of Chengde. It is also the best angle to take pictures of the Outer Eight Temples. If you want to see the whole picture of the Little Potala Palace and the Panchen Lama Palace, you can only come here. You can also enjoy the panoramic view of Yongyou Temple, yurts and other plains~
③ Lake line
Sitting on the "Qingque Boat", the only movable landscape in the "72 Scenes of Kangxi and Qianlong", to visit the islands in the lake area really feels like an emperor.
Starting from Zhijing Yundi, you will first arrive at Jinshan Shenshen Pavilion and then Yanyu Tower. Zhijing Yundi was built in imitation of Su Causeway, Jinshan God Pavilion was built in imitation of Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang, and Yanyu Tower was built in imitation of Yanyu Tower in Nanhu, Jiaxing. So as long as you take a boat, you can visit the three major landscapes in the south of the Yangtze River, which is a very cost-effective choice.
④ plain line
After visiting the Yanyu Tower, the filming location of Little Swallow Shufangzhai in "Han Zhu Ge Ge", you can take a plain car at the door. By the way, there are really a lot of people visiting the park on holidays, especially when I’ve been shopping until 1:30 in the afternoon, the crowds are really hot, it’s like a "heatstroke mountain resort", watching them line up for the bus really has to wait It's been a long time, fortunately, the mysterious tickets bought in advance do not need to queue~
Get on the bus from Yanyu Building and go to Rehe Spring - Wenjinge - Mongolian Yurt. Among them, Rehe is the birthplace of Chengde, so since you have come to Chengde, you must come here to see the shortest river in the world. Wenjinge is the place where Ji Xiaolan compiled the Siku Quanshu, and Yang Lan and Jiang Kun also mentioned that it is a place where you can see the strange landscape of the sun and the moon shining together.
⑤ Immersive live performance of "Dream into the Summer Resort"
Finally, I drove to the yurt located in Wanshuyuan, where a large-scale immersive live-action performance was being performed. After watching the performance, I really feel that today's package ticket is very worthwhile!
The yurt group theater where the performance is performed is the original site where real historical events took place. The moment you enter the theater, you feel like you are in a real Mongolian tribe. When I watched them surround me in the yurt and tell the history of their Turghut tribe’s return to the east, it felt like a dream through history. History was being staged around me, and events were happening around me.
Shuttle between each package, feel the different stories experienced by different people, and will be led by different tribesmen in the middle. Pulled away, immersed in the performance all the time.
There are three groups of performances in total. The red, yellow and blue colors need to be watched by tourists themselves. There is no way to watch all the plots at once. ⑥ Walk to Yongyou Temple
It is said that Yongyou Temple was built by Qianlong to pray for his mother Zhen Huan, so you can come here to pray for your family. Among them, there are copper bells hanging on the eaves of each floor outside the Liuhe Pagoda. When the wind blows, it seems to take you through time and space in an instant, and you can hear Qianlong praying for your mother.
