At the end of the summer vacation, I took my children to visit Qinhuangdao once. This is my first time to Hebei and I don't know anything about this place. My son said: "Mom, I want to go to Qinhuangdao this summer vacation", so our family came.
I set off from my home at around 7 o'clock in the evening, and drove all the way from Henan to Hebei.
Preparation
For self-driving tours in most parts of the country, there is nothing that needs to be deliberately prepared. A family of three, a backpack, and a suitcase are full of things.
Five or six sets of clothes for each person. I brought cold medicine and fever medicine (my husband is prone to acclimatization). There was a carton of milk in the trunk, a large pack of mineral water, three packs of ham sausage and two packs of beef jerky. These are all gears for those who are hungry and thirsty at high speeds.
When we went, typhoon Lizima was almost approaching Shandong, and we were worried about the rain, so we prepared umbrellas and raincoats.
Needless to say, electronic products, iPads, mobile phones, charging treasures, and cameras are all ready.
If you need paper high-speed invoices, have cash ready. Wechat/Alipay payments do not provide paper invoices.
About accommodation
There are too many hotels in Qinhuangdao, we chose "Qinhuangdao Pulanya Hotel". It is the designated reception hotel of the National Sports Bureau.
When planning the itinerary, we decided to go to Jinmeng Bay. It just so happens that this hotel is very close to the bay, and it takes only 5 minutes to ride a shared bicycle.
This hotel has twin rooms, double bed rooms, triple rooms and family four-person suites. We chose a special double bed room (limited to grab every day, it is recommended to book early), 238 a night. Very good deal. We took a look, and at the same level, the prices of coastal hotels are basically 800+.
Overall, I think the price/performance ratio is very high.
There is a Xicheng BBQ opposite the hotel, which tastes good and is very famous. We went for a meal.
There is also Awei's home cooking that is also very good, the kind that is full of people every day.
For seafood, it is recommended to go to Lao Chuanfu Steam Seafood Square or Hongmen Steam Seafood BBQ. Just two steps away.
If you have time, you can go to Jinding Street for a stroll. It is only about 700 meters away from the hotel. There are many restaurants in it, which are very hygienic and delicious.
cost problem
We drove from our home to Qinhuangdao, the highway covered a total of more than 800 kilometers (one way), and the highway fee seemed to cost more than 700 for a round trip. The fuel cost is around 700.
The cost of accommodation is around 1200 (5 days).
It seems that it doesn't cost a lot to eat in Qinhuangdao, and it can be done within 1,000. On the contrary, it costs more on the high speed. A total of five meals were eaten at the expressway, and it cost more than 300 yuan.
Scenic spot tickets, shopping in the scenic spot, etc., are definitely settled within 1,000.

The first time I saw the beach of Qinhuangdao
It was already afternoon when we arrived in Qinhuangdao, and we didn't have time to go to any scenic spots, so we simply drove to the beach.
The typhoon was in the Shandong area that day, but because of the strong wind and the influence of the surrounding cloud system (probably this), the waves here were particularly large. It was also the first time in my life that I saw such a big wave. I was excited and scared.
Children are different, only excited. lol.
Because the waves are too big, we only dare to stand far away to watch.
After seeing the beach, I still searched for hotels in the car, booked a room at the Pulanya Hotel, and navigated directly to it.
I also thought about booking a room by the sea. I took a look, and it was either a personal inn, or a hotel with more than 800 yuan. It's just too expensive.
There is a large parking lot in the hotel, parking is not a problem at all.
You can't see anything from the door, but there are caves inside, and the decoration is very stylish.
If you are not traveling by car, you can take a bus from the hotel. There are bus stop signs when you go out, such as No. 6 and No. 19. It seems that there are six or seven routes of buses. It is very convenient to go to various attractions.
I took a look, and it takes about 10 minutes to go to the city center. Even if you go to Beidaihe, you can take a bus there, about 20 minutes.
It takes about 20 minutes to get to the train station. Very convenient.
The hall is very spacious. The lady at the front desk is also very nice to speak, and my son has said a lot to people.
Originally, my husband wanted to book a suite in their house, that is, in addition to the bedroom, there is also a guest room.
The suite is 434 (probably), the price difference is not very big, but I don't think it is necessary, so I bought a double bed room. It happened to be bought during the special price, more than 200.
The room is very large, and the inside is very clean and hygienic, very good.
You can eat in the hotel. But we woke up late the next day and didn't eat at the hotel.
Jinmeng Bay Area & Biluota Park
When you come to Qinhuangdao, you mainly want to see the sea. After the rainstorm on the third day, the weather has cleared up, and we stopped at Bi to watch the sea all day.
Jinmeng Bay Area is a very famous scenic spot in Qinhuangdao, and it is an absolute net red spot.
We rode shared bicycles there (we brought our own child seats for shared bicycles, which is very convenient), and we arrived in less than 5 minutes.
The water here is very clear. The sand is also relatively soft, which is very suitable for taking pictures. There are not many people on the beach, and the children started to play the game of chasing each other with their father.
This is the landmark building of Jinmeng Bay. It is said that many couples will take wedding photos here. But it was probably because of the rain that day, and no one came to take pictures.
After leaving here, we drove to Biluota Park.
The prepared beach tools finally came in handy. My son played on the beach for more than two hours without getting tired.
[Small Island Broken Relationship Museum] Tickets are about 30 yuan. My husband and I have no interest, and the children don't want to go, so we just took pictures.
This is the concentric anchor of the Biluo Tower, a very famous place, and there are many shells next to it.
Some restaurants by the sea. About Dongzhu, milk tea or something. The prices in the scenic area are relatively expensive, 20 yuan for a cup of milk tea. The taste is okay.
We played here for a long time at night. There is a row of log cabins next to it. But we felt that the bedding was a bit damp, so we still went back to the hotel.
Xin'ao Underwater World & Sailing Center
We looked at the map and found that the Xin'ao Underwater World is only 1.5 kilometers away from the Pulanya Hotel. The sailing center we want to go to is closer to the Underwater World, only seven or eight hundred meters away. I don't think there is any need to drive there. The husband discussed how to ride the shared bicycle directly.
The first palace of the underwater world has two floors. The deep-sea fish are on the first floor, and the second floor is a relatively large playground with some small fish. We played here for less than two hours. Children are very happy to see all kinds of fish.

After coming out from here, we went to the sailing center. This is also the first time a child has sailed on a sailboat.
The sails used for this sailing boat are also designated for the Olympic Games. There are many people who can sit on the sailboat. There are many sights to see while sitting on a sailboat.
The Jinmeng Bay I saw yesterday, as well as the Xin’ao Underwater World and the Dolphin Show that I saw that day, were all seen on the sailing boat.
After leaving here, we rode bicycles around, and got on the expressway back to Henan at 5 o'clock in the afternoon.
