Honorific words and titles: Tibetans pay great attention to the use of honorific words, and Lhasa people are more particular about this kind of atmosphere. In Lhasa and even in the whole of Tibet, every sentence has three ways of speaking, one is Mandarin, one is honorific, and the other is most honorific. This is true for nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
People of the same status use honorific words for each other, people of low status also use honorific words for people of high status, and people of disparate status use the most honorific words. People who don't know honorific words are considered to be uneducated, and if honorific words are used incorrectly, jokes will be made.
Tibetans attach great importance to appellations, and inaccurate appellations are often considered impolite. Add a "pull" after the other party's name to show respect. For example, Gesang is called "Gesangla", Tashi is called "Zashila"; teachers are called "Gera", cooks are called "Maqingla" and so on.
