1. Nine carp stream? Chi stream? Silly can't tell
The first stop to the Taimu Mountain scenic spot is Jiulixi. There is Chixi Village next to Jiulixi. So what is the relationship between Jiulixi and Chixi?
In fact, these two names are common. In order to call them separately, the river is now generally called Jiulixi, and the village beside it is called Chixi Village.
Jiuli Creek is located in the southwest of Taimu Mountain Scenic Area, covering an area of 25 square kilometers. It originates from three large mountains, Taimu Mountain, Xiapu Muhaijian and Zherong Dongshan Ridge in Fuding, Fujian.
There are 13 tributaries here, with a length of 25.86 kilometers. The downstream extends to Yangjiaxi in Xiapu County and flows into the East China Sea.
The Jiuli River is curved, with green hills on both sides of the river, verdant green trees, strange rocks, and clear water, just like Wuyi Jiuqu. Take a bamboo raft from the south pocket of Longting, drift down the water, and the scenery is beautiful all the way.

Accompanied by Chixi Village and Jiuli River, it is completely natural. Chixi Village is 26 kilometers away from the seat of the Fenxi Town Government. After driving for more than 20 minutes, cross the Jiuli Bridge and arrive at Chixi Village. Next to the dwellings, the firm and full ears of rice are fragrant in the autumn wind, and the beautiful Jiuli River flows through the village next to the rice fields, adding a touch of vitality to Chixi Village surrounded by mountains.
Near Chixi Village, Jiuli River is the first choice of eco-tourism resort for tourists. Not only the scenery on both sides of the stream is beautiful, but also rafting on bamboo rafts is very interesting. "Bamboo rafts have been used for thousands of years in Chixi Village."

Xiaoyushan Island is an uninhabited island with an area of 3.28 square kilometers. The coast is washed and weathered by sea water, the bedrock is exposed, reefs are everywhere, and the sea erosion landform Very prominent, forming a peculiar landscape.

3. Taimu Mountain, the fairy capital on the sea, has colors in sunny and rainy days

Taimu Mountain faces the sea on three sides and the mountain on the other side. The main peak is 917.3 meters above sea level. It overlooks Yandang Mountain in the north and Wuyi Mountain in the west, and the three form a tripod.
According to legend, in the time of Yao, the old mother planted orchids in the mountains, and when she met a Taoist priest, she became a fairy, so she was named "Tai Mu", and later renamed "Tai Grandma". Fujian people call it "Grandma" and Wuyi "Shuangjue", while people in Zhejiang regard "Grandma" and Yandang as "Kunzhong".
According to Lu Yu's "Tea Classics", "there is a white tea mountain three hundred miles east of Yongjia County". According to textual research, the "east" is a mistake of "south", and "south three hundred miles" is Taimu Mountain.
Taimu Mountain is a national key scenic spot and a national geological park. It is majestic on the coast of the East China Sea.
It is said that the immortals of the East China Sea gather here all the year round, so it has the reputation of "Sea Fairy Capital". It overlooks Yandang, Zhejiang in the north, and Wuyi in Fujian in the west. The three form a tripartite force. Fujian people call Wuyi and Taimu two masterpieces, and Zhejiang people regard Yandang and Taimu as Kunzhong, forming the three famous mountains of Fujian and Vietnam.

It is well-known for its natural landscapes such as beautiful rivers, beautiful waterfalls, rapid waterfalls, and magical clouds, as well as rich cultural landscapes such as ancient temple stone carvings and cliff inscriptions.
The rock of Taimu Mountain is granite, which has been weathered for a long time to form more than 360 stone scenes of various shapes. Some are like people, such as Husband and Wife Peak, Two Buddhas Talking about Sutras, Two Immortals Playing a Game, Maitreya Tanfu, Novice Worshiping the Moon, Arhat Rock, Bajie Stone and so on.
Some of the mountains and rocks here are like objects, such as nine carps facing the sky, fairy sawing boards, golden tortoises climbing walls, jade monkeys looking into mirrors, golden cats fighting mice, jade rabbits listening to tides, golden roosters announcing the dawn, a piece of tile, ox-backed stones, etc.; , such as the Grandmother's Ascension Stone, Yunbiao Stone, Feilai Stone, Wangxian Bridge, etc., all the rocks are lifelike, and the scene changes with each step.
Predecessors once praised: "Grandma has no vulgar stones, all of them are divinely crafted, and everything is in the chest." Especially the two landscapes of "Nine Carps Facing the Sky" and "Two Buddhas Talking about the Sutra" stretch for kilometers. Imposing.
There are more than 100 caves of various kinds on Mount Taimu. It takes 28 days to go through all the caves, and it takes one day to enter and exit some caves. These caves have their own characteristics, and the most amazing ones among the caves are Yixiantian, Qixing Cave and General Shiba Cave.
According to the investigation of the geological department, the Taimu rock is coarse-grained granite, which belongs to the late Yanshan period and is the product of the Mesozoic Cretaceous period in geological history, about 90 million to 100 million years ago. Due to the change of the earth's crust, the ocean rises, and the three groups of east, west, north, south and near horizontal joints develop vertically, forming a series of criss-crossing cliffs, peaks, and caves.
After millions of years of wind and rain erosion and flowing water, today's abrupt peaks and strange rocks are slowly formed.
Taimu Mountain was very prosperous in the Tang and Song Dynasties. There were thirty-six monasteries in the south and north of the mountain, among which the Guoxing, Ruiyun, Lingfeng, Bajiao, and Tianwang temples were the largest. Guoxing Temple was built in the fourth year of Emperor Qianfu (877) of Tang Dynasty. There are still 360 stone pillars on the site today. In front of the temple, there are Linga pagoda and stone pool, which shows the scale at that time.
Yuhu Nunnery is the thatched cottage of Song Confucianist Zhu Xi, and Xuanji Cave is Zhu Xi's hermitage. There are dozens of cliff carvings in the mountains, such as "No. 1 Mountain in the World", "Grand View of Mountains and Seas", and "Land of Taoism and Buddha".
Qinyu Town at the foot of Taimu Mountain was one of the heroic positions along the coast of Fujian in the Ming Dynasty against the Japanese, known as "Eternal Heroic Town". In 1988, in the name of Fujian Taimu Mountain Scenic Area, Taimu Mountain was approved by the State Council to be listed in the second batch of national scenic spots.
