It's been a long time since I got up early, which is also the reason why I don't like joining groups. It is easy to cause insomnia. Fortunately, not at all this time. There is a Lohas breakfast shop at the intersection of where I live. I accidentally ordered two staple foods, fried chicken burgers and fresh vegetable sandwiches. I thought it would be a waste, but I ate them all. Crispy and not greasy. The girl next door couldn't help laughing in surprise, recommended their omelette, and decided on the next day's breakfast.

The tour group will pick you up on time, the driver and tour guide, they are very familiar with each accommodation point. About four or five people were picked up, and they started to leave the city around nine o'clock. The first stop is Qixingtan, the only county-level scenic spot in Hualien. It is a long crescent-shaped coast. This magnificent bay is the most suitable for watching the sunrise, stars and moon. The beach is composed of very beautiful pebbles. It is said that gems can be picked up. The driver specifically reminded us that it is forbidden to carry it out of the country. After seeing it, it is really necessary to remind. Looking at the distant mountains in the sea mist on the beach, the waves roll up from time to time, bringing a breath of life. There are military planes roaring past from time to time. Staying for forty minutes feels a bit too long, because the sun is very strong and there is no place to go except the beach. Fortunately, I met my first group member, a lovely girl from Taipei, Jane.

The next stop is Qingshui Cliff. Located between Heping and Chongde, it is one of the wonders on the east coast of Taiwan and one of the eight great sights in Taiwan. Qingshui Cliff is more than 1,000 meters high, facing the Pacific Ocean at an angle of nearly 90 degrees. The road stretches for more than 20 kilometers and twists and turns. There are cliffs on one side and the vast sea on the other. . Next to the Chongde Tunnel on the Suhua Highway, there are trails leading to two viewing platforms, where you can see the mountains and waters of the Pacific Ocean and Qingshui Cliff. The different levels of blue in this piece of sea water are like the most beautiful gems, which are fascinating.

After about 30 minutes, drive to Yanzikou Trail. Here you need to walk in the tunnel, and in order to prevent falling rocks, helmets are issued. On the right side of the tunnel, there are many natural caves of different sizes and uneven arrangement formed by years of weathering. It looks like a beehive from a distance. It is said that swallows often come here to inhabit and build nests, so it is named "Swallow's mouth". The Liwu River in the Grand Canyon runs swiftly among the boulders, and the entire mountain is made of marble structures. The long-term plentiful water flow relentlessly cuts the rock formation under the feet, and finally, under the cooperation of the uplift of the earth's crust, a marble rock formation with a length of tens of kilometers and a thickness of more than 1,000 meters is created. The uncanny craftsmanship of nature is amazing.

Lunch is at the Tianxiang National Salvation Mission Center, at your own expense, the set meal is not expensive, the scenery is beautiful, and the time is one hour. I met my second group member, an American Chinese boy working in Hong Kong.

The next stop is Changchun Temple, which enshrines the spiritual tablets of 212 employees who died in the line of duty during the construction of Zhongheng Highway. The building of Changchun Temple adopts the style of Tang Dynasty. It is embedded in the mountain wall according to the terrain. Fresh spring water gushes out from the mountain wall, forming a waterfall. This waterfall diverges into the stream in front of the Changchun Temple. This is the famous "Changchun Waterfall". There is a 380-step stone ladder winding upwards behind the temple, commonly known as the "Ladder to Heaven". You can reach the Guanyin Cave at the end. There are Guanyin Stone Buddha and the construction drawing of the crossing highway.

The last stop is the Shasha Katang Trail, which was originally called the "Mysterious Valley Trail" but was changed back to its original name in recent years. It means "molar" in the Atayal language. According to legend, the ancestors of the Atayal people dug up the molar when they were reclaiming land. The Shakadang Trail is built along the mountain wall. Walking on the trail, you can enjoy the clear stream, beautiful rock folds, and rich forest landscape. The Shakadang Stream is short, the water is fast, and the sand content in the water is low. Therefore, even after a typhoon and heavy rain, the stream water can still remain clear and blue. Due to the lack of sunlight in the mountains, it was like a sunset at four o'clock, and the colors were not seen, but we tasted the local sausage. Our temporary group of four (with a Malaysian girl added) only walked halfway, and we were satisfied. .

It was less than five o'clock when we returned to Hualien Railway Station. Such a rich itinerary was completed in eight hours, and there was no rush at all. Pulled the boy together to form a foraging group. Let's eat scallion bombs first, the taste is good, and we made an appointment to have dinner together in the evening and go to the night market. It was still early, so he went back to change his clothes first, and I wandered around the triangle area to see if there was anything delicious to bring.

We met at around 6:30, went to Mr. Goose Meat first, met them for a rest, and changed to Bawei Ginger Duck. It is very popular and has a special way of eating, but the taste is average. Afterwards, I went to the night market. I was too full. I just took a walk, played archery for a while, and listened to the history of the boss. He went to most of the mainland and married a wife in Shanghai. The experience was very interesting.

Go back to the residence and set the itinerary for tomorrow. Based on today’s experience with the group, I have more confidence in the quality of the local tour group. In addition, it is possible to meet interesting group members, which makes the itinerary even more fun. I also added a one-day tour of Shanhailian , mainly Ruisui Ranch, Shitiping, Skywalk. The landlord also helped to book the train ticket back to Taipei.
