Since we are going to Shanxi·Taiyuan (from Chengdu), which is more than 1,000 kilometers away, then Shanxi-Shaanxi-Sichuan is the best route. This line happened to pass by on the return trip. It was the first time I took the children out, and I didn't want to rush too much, so I quickly finalized the destinations of Pingyao and Xi'an. (Actually, I have been struggling with Hukou Waterfall or Huashan for a long time. If I go alone, I will definitely go back to these two places. But I finally rejected the family, especially the children, and the transportation of Hukou Waterfall is too inconvenient; My wife doesn't like climbing mountains, and my children can't even climb them)


2. Accommodation and transportation

Transportation: The child has never been on a plane before, and she thought this would be her first plane trip, but the usual ticket price is 3-500, but it soared to more than 1,000 on National Day. I don’t want to spend these thousands of dollars in vain. Now the high-speed rail has been opened along the line. It only takes more than 7 hours from Chengdu to Taiyuan. I choose the high-speed rail decisively (2 adults and 1 child, the high-speed rail saves more than 3,000 yuan compared to the plane, and it is the best for the working class) . Here I have to lament the strength of the motherland. I think that every time I went to school ten years ago, I had to take the train for two days and one night, squeezed in a green leather car, I couldn’t use the toilet, and I didn’t dare to use my mobile phone (save the battery car contact). Today's high-speed rail is wide, fast and comfortable, and it can also be charged. I like the high-speed rail technology of the motherland.


Although the technology is advanced, the tickets are really hard to decide. Finally, after many times of waiting for tickets, I finally bought all the tickets, but none of the 5 rides was a D/F ticket, which was a little disappointing.


Accommodation: For family trips, comfort is the most important thing, and 4-star hotels are the first choice. After searching through Ctrip, I found that there are too few four-star hotels within 500 yuan for the National Day. Taiyuan is relatively good, and the price of Pingyao and Xi’an doubles directly. Pingyao is the most exaggerated, triple it directly, I'll fuck it. In the face of money, I can only bow my head. After repeated comparisons by Ctrip, the three hotels I finally chose were quite successful, and the whole family was quite comfortable to live in. At this price, I can only choose a four-star hotel in Taiyuan. I can only choose economical express hotels in Pingyao and Xi’an. This is also the first time I have stayed in Home Inns and Super 8 hotels around 500.



3. Travel account


D1-Taiyuan (arrive at the hotel, meet classmates for the first time)


I arrived in Taiyuan at 23:00 on the evening of October 1. I came to this second hometown again after 10 years. I still remember the tears in the eyes of my classmates when I saw off my classmates at the train station. I felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity. Come. The first time I went to Taiyuan South Railway Station, I was really disappointed with the design of this station. Several trains arrived in Taiyuan at 23:00. There were so many people that the 3Km around the station was blocked, and I couldn’t get a taxi. Didi queued up to 100 people, and the exit was also the same. Same situation, feeling hopeless. Because there is a child, the price of the Licheng special car was increased by 30. On the way, I chatted with my master, knowing that I attended the 10-year class reunion, and talking to me about the changes in Taiyuan, I felt sorry for the stagnation of Taiyuan. The coal industry is stagnant, people cannot be retained, and the economy is not developing well. The subway has been repaired for N years and it still hasn’t been opened. D2-Taiyuan (10th Anniversary Alumni Reunion)

The road to school is no longer the same as ten years ago. The wide and clean Binhe Road Walking along the river, the scenery is good. Although Taiyuan's economic development is slow, the environment has been getting better and better in recent years. After arriving at the school, I saw more classmates and friends who had been there for many years. Everyone was very kind. In the afternoon, the secretary and deputy dean of the 5th hospital received us and felt that they were so respected. D3-Taiyuan (snacks, shopping to Pingyao)

But the taste is really good, it feels like the most delicious haggis cut in my life, after a bowl of soup, I feel hot all over, and I feel that the two veins of Ren and Du have been opened. Women love to go shopping everywhere. After breakfast, there are still a few hours before the next train station. It happens to be in Liuxiang, and my wife started shopping mode. Neither box can stop the enthusiasm for shopping. Of course, I bought 2 pieces that are very cost-effective. The autumn clothes (it turns out that these two clothes played a big role, and the county was madly cooling down later, so it happened to be used)


D3-Pingyao


After arriving in Pingyao, stay at Home Inn (I have lived in the most expensive Home Inn 542). After watching the entrance of "Seeing Pingyao Again" at night, enter the ancient city directly from Yongding Gate (I bought the Pingyao Ancient City Pass on Ctrip before), and the entrance to the city is free. Only restaurants, county government offices, city walls, and bodyguard bureaus need tickets. The street of Yongdingmen is more populated by the aborigines in the ancient city. Although it is not as prosperous as the four streets of East, West, North, South, and South, it has more of the original flavor of the ancient city. Unlike the ancient towns and ancient cities in the south, Pingyao is more of the roughness of the north, the roughness without decoration, mud walls, brick walls, arches, unique to the north. Because I went to Pingyao in 2007, so this time as a tour guide for the whole family, the attractions to see are very clear: County Government, Rishengchangji, East China First Escort, City Wall, these 4 must-sees, and the rest is time. D4-Pingyao (Pingyao City Wall, goodbye Shanxi)


It rained in the morning, and in the rain, we visited two other attractions that must be checked in: the Escort Bureau and the City Wall. It was raining, and the wind was very strong on the city wall. My wife and children can't stand it, but I like it very much. I have liked the feeling of strong wind since I was a child. It feels like taking off when it blows on my body. The city wall can only be climbed from the south gate and the north gate. If I have time, I will walk half a circle. However, the time is too tight. I went up the north gate and walked around the Wengcheng before going down. To leave Shanxi, I have to check out another classic noodle dish: sliced ​​noodles, as always chewy and delicious; by the way, I can’t forget the taste of the oat noodles, so I ordered another one with sauce.

The north gate is outside the city wall, and the hotel is at Yongding Gate in the west. It is impossible to check out and go to Xi'an in a hurry. Due to the rain, it was difficult to get a taxi. Walked 100 meters along the north gate to the main road outside. The surrounding area of ​​the ancient city was blocked. Fortunately, a taxi was waiting for a few minutes. After arriving at the hotel, I packed my luggage. It was still an hour before the departure from Pingyao-Xi’an. I also encountered a taxi problem. I waited at the hotel entrance for 10 minutes and no car came (the train will leave in 50 minutes) , When I was about to get into a black car, an empty taxi came, and my luck was overwhelming, and I encountered an empty taxi twice in a row. The master also said on the way, you are so brave, you dare to ride in a black car (even if you have to sit for 100, if you don’t do it, you may not be able to catch the bullet train to Xi’an)


Leaving Pingyao, leaving Shanxi, Shanxi goodbye, it should be another 10 years. The 3-day trip to Shanxi, in general, is that the development is too slow, the old is too old, ZF still has a lot of homework to do, keep working hard, my second hometown.


D4-Xi'an (revisiting Xi'an, the city that never sleeps in the Tang Dynasty)


Arrive in Xi'an. Every time I go to a city, I always want to know its transportation hub. This time I went to Xi’an North, and saw one of the largest transportation hubs in Asia, Xi’an North, with 34 lanes. The overall structure is basically the same as that of Chengdu East, and the high-speed rail and subway can be transferred at the same station, which is very convenient (compared with Taiyuan South, Xi'an North, and Chengdu East, there is a complete gap between the last century and this century). Once again, I lament the power of the country, and the high-speed rail station is almost comparable to the airport. In order to find out who is more powerful between Chengdu East and Xi’an North, Baidu compared for a while, and finally concluded that the red line of Chengdu East is larger, and the construction area, stock roads, and investment of Xi’an North are larger, and Xi’an North is overall better.


The Xi’an Metro has an advantage that the Chengdu Metro cannot match. You can use WeChat or Alipay to take the bus, which is much more convenient for foreign tourists. There are almost no queues to buy tickets at the subway stations (Chengdu is far behind). For big city accommodation, be sure to choose the subway side. This time I chose to stay in Xi'an and set 3 conditions, within 500 meters, within 50 meters of the subway, and within the ancient city. I finally stayed in the Super 8 near Dacha City, an apartment-type hotel. It was a waste of my experience of looking for hotels with Ctrip for many consecutive days (I am very satisfied with the three hotel wives and children this time). Living in a hotel next to the subway with children in a big city is not very convenient. The Super 8 I stayed in this time is very close to Yongxingfang, Bell and Drum Tower, and Line 4 to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda/Xi'an North, no need to transfer, very convenient.


Put down your luggage and go straight to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Today you will mainly see the fountain of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Everbright City of the Tang Dynasty. After arriving, it rained again. In the rain, there were so many people visiting the fountain and the city that never sleeps. During the National Day, the fountain was popular songs such as I Love You China, Me and My Motherland. It is obvious that the rhythm of the fountain and the song are not well combined. Goodbye Datang Everbright City, it really has the beauty of the prosperous Tang Dynasty, although it is raining heavily, it has a different taste. First, Xi’an tourism will really be built, and two popular places, Datang Everbright City and Yongxing Square, will be built in two years, so the government must be willing to invest and spend money. Don’t talk about Internet+ all day long. Xi’an tourism is the best use of Internet+. I think the key point is the cooperation with Douyin. There is no Douyin in these internet celebrity check-in places in Xi’an, especially Datang Everbright City and Yongxing Square. The second is that the lighting in Xi'an is really good, and the prosperity of the Tang Dynasty can be seen everywhere (in fact, the Tang Dynasty is much worse than this, how can the weak light of kerosene lamps and candles compare with today's Xi'an), after 10 am in Huimin Street It feels like walking directly out of the night market (the lights are too dazzling). D6- Xi'an (return)

I also visited Xi’an 10 years ago. I feel that Xi’an has developed rapidly in the past 10 years and the urban construction has been continuously improved. This is the development track that the city should have (Shanxi is too far behind).
