I came back here again, a place called Yunnan. I can still find the exit in the alley I walked two years ago; I still remember that it is the direction leading to the snow mountain on the road I passed two years ago. This sense of familiarity from previous visits is just right... and this time, as a wonderful traveler, we re-travel the Southern Silk Road and get to know a brand new Caiyunzhinan.
Yunnan Post, originally the largest post on the Ancient Tea-Horse Road, is also the original origin of the name of Yunnan. The ancient tea-horse road in Yunnan, from Sichuan through Yunnan to Myanmar, India and West Asia, has a commercial avenue, which is the famous ancient southern silk road. How many years have passed, time and space have rotated, the glory here is no longer, but the imprint of history remains on the bricks and tiles...
The Silk Road in the new era has been redefined, and the slogan of the Belt and Road is even more famous all over the world. The Southern Silk Road, which was once noisy, is now rarely visited by people. It is rugged, rocky, and muddy. The team is exploring ancient Yunnan on such a road. .
Jihong Bridge is known as Lanjin Bridge in history, named after the "Lanjin Ancient Ferry" in the Western Han Dynasty. This is "the oldest iron chain bridge in the world", and it is still intact even after hundreds of years of wind and rain. On the east side of the bridge, "set up a pass along the stream, with Gongshi as the gate, leaning against the east cliff, built Wuhou temple and tax bureau; on the west side of the bridge, Gongguan is the same, leaning against the west cliff inside, building towers and remembering the creator of the bridge".
To commemorate the historical achievements of Nanyang overseas Chinese mechanics who returned to China to participate in the Anti-Japanese War and the World Anti-Fascist War, the Nanyang Overseas Chinese Mechanics Returned to China Anti-Japanese Memorial Hall was laid in September 2014. It presents to the world the history of Nanqiao mechanics in the War of Resistance Against Japan.
As the name suggests, the Yizhai and Two Country Scenic Area, a Dai village is divided into two by the national border. The one on the Chinese side is called Yinjing, and the one on the Burmese side is called Mangxiu. The culture, language, and life of China and Myanmar blend and collide here. Sitting on the swing in Yinjing, you can appear in the sky over Myanmar with a little swing.
Walking into Yunnan's unique ethnic minority - the Achang nationality, the Achang nationality in Husa is good at forging iron and making knives, and is famous for the "Husa knife". It goes without saying that the Achang people are good at singing and dancing, and the skills of the Husa knife are excellent...
"The mountains in the distance are vast, the rivers near the water are melodious, and the slopes of thousands of families are under the hills, which is absolutely better than the little Suzhou and Hangzhou." Mr. Li Gengen, the elder of the Republic of China, described the ancient town of Heshun in his poem. Walking into Heshun, you will walk into a cultural maze. On the ancient volcanic terraces, thousands of characteristic dwellings stand beside mountains and rivers, row upon row, and you can touch the mottled years and rich cultural atmosphere with every gesture.
Walking into Qiluo Ancient Town, the narrow stone road is lined with ordinary farmhouses and ruined houses. When you turn around, you will suddenly see an open world. Small bridges, flowing water, ancient trees and those brilliant buildings with blue bricks, green tiles and double eaves constitute a peaceful and harmonious picture.
As time goes by, papermaking technology is constantly updated, and in many places, paper mills have become synonymous with environmental destroyers. However, in the ancient city of Tengchong, the ancient method of papermaking is still in harmony with the environment. Generations of artisans insist on using the ancient method of papermaking in obscurity, leaving their own marks in the art inheritance.
In the rainy season in Yunnan, it is a good experience to walk into this ancient paper museum with a design style and experience the ancient papermaking process or make a pulp painting. In addition to understanding the historical inheritance of papermaking, paper In relation to the art of calligraphy and painting, one can also experience the great wisdom of the Chinese ancestors in the coexistence of human civilization and nature, and touch the true meaning of art from a unique perspective.
【Preface】
People do not travel outside to travel. Anyone who explores, pursues, and touches those unknowable situations, whether it is local or spiritual, is a kind of travel. People's cognition of this world is gradually formed in repeated explorations; and people's cognition of the charm of Yunnan is also gradually formed in the repeated explorations of Yunnan.
The history of entering Yunnan is actually a history of the discovery of Yunnan, which is as vast as smoke. It is a time and time again to enter Yunnan, let us know the beautiful place in the south of Caiyun. This time, we re-travel the Southern Silk Road as a wonderful traveler of the famous ancient Yunnan city, in order to discover Yunnan that is beyond people's impression, and also to make the city of Yunnan present a different image to outsiders.
My graduation trip alone started my story with Yunnan. That time, I came here in a hurry, just to go to more places; later, Dali and Lijiang walked slowly one by one, and I loved those scenic spots that people had never heard of. Some places are like this, no matter how many times you go there, you will never get tired of it, and you can find new surprises every time, Yunnan is such a place. This time I followed the jeep to Yunnan, and went to those lesser-known scenic spots, such as the famous ancient Dian city by the Dianchi Lake, the Bonan Ancient Road hidden in the mountains and forests, and the Yizhai and the two countries adjacent to Myanmar. Walk slowly and savor it carefully What Yunnan looked like in ancient times.

【About accommodation】
With the persistence in my heart, I waited calmly. I am looking forward to a kind of happy existence. I have missed thousands of times and looked back thousands of times, but I am just looking for a warm destination for my heart... What is the destination during the journey? It is a rest for body and mind after a day of running around, and it is a unique experience for tourists on the street to enjoy the quiet travel time alone.
If we say what is the most in Yunnan? It's not "In a Moment" that you can hear everywhere you go, nor is it fragrant bait everywhere, but inns, from brand hotels to high-end homestays, or small inns and youth hostels. In Dali, regardless of its number. But when you come to Dali, I personally recommend you to stay in distinctive boutique hotels and homestays, such as the Red Dragon Well Hotel and Tinghuatang Inn where I stayed in Lijiang this trip. The considerate service, unique location, and ingenious environment will give you an unforgettable experience. The same warm journey.
Dali Red Dragon Well Hotel:
When it comes to the most distinctive street in Dali Ancient City, Red Dragon Well is the most characteristic street in Dali Ancient City. Dali Red Dragon Well Hotel is located in the central area of the Red Dragon Well business district in the ancient city of Dali. It is a bustling location, quiet amidst the hustle and bustle. It is only a ten-minute walk from the Boai Gate of the ancient city. Both the location and the traffic are very good.
Walking into the Red Dragon Well Hotel, the first thing that catches your eyes is the screen wall of the Wu Temple in the Ming Dynasty more than 600 years ago in front of the hotel gate. This precious cultural relic just happens to be the most unique view of the hotel. Passing through the screen wall, you come to the open area of the hotel, the sunken bar counter, just like the city life in Dali in ancient times, every family has flowing water and every household grows flowers.
In Dali in July, it is the rainy season, the weather is slightly cool after the shower, it is better to spend half a day in the hotel with a wet body. Good-quality tea is prepared in the room, and a pot of hot tea is brewed. From the balcony, we can see Wuhualou not far away standing among the clouds. Sitting at the sunken swimming pool bar, facing the Erhai Lake, leaning against the Cangshan Mountain, have a cup of iced coffee, wait for the sunset after the rain, and live a comfortable life in Dali...
Dali Tinghuatang Cangshan Store:
It’s not the first time to stay at Tinghuatang Inn. I visited the main store of Tinghuatang Lijiang last winter. Tinghuatang belongs to the inn that can make you fall in love at first sight. This time I came to Dali and heard that there is also a branch here. , and immediately came to live again. Dali Tinghuatang also has several stores, including the ancient city store with excellent location, and the inn at the foot of Cangshan Mountain. Since we lived in the ancient city in front, we chose Tinghuatang Cangshan store this time.
When you come to Tinghuatang, you feel like you are in a sea of flowers after opening the door. All kinds of precious flowers are in full bloom, and the garden is full of fragrance. The owner of the inn is Brother Feng, a person who loves flowers. Like many people, he once dreamed of opening an inn in Lijiang after retirement, drinking tea and picking flowers. Later, by chance, I fulfilled my wish 20 years ahead of schedule, and opened branches all over Yunnan. Tinghuatang also became one of the top ten romantic inns on the Yunnan Lianbo list with the efforts of Brother Feng.
When you first come to Dali, maybe you will be addicted to Renmin Road, listening to the guitar humming there, smelling the aroma of wine mixed in the crowd, and you will gradually become intoxicated and do not know where to go. When you come to Dali again, you will be more nostalgic for the market at 7:30 in the morning, the fragrance of flowers at Tinghuatang Inn outside the ancient city, at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, among the clouds and mists, flowers and dreams, and the melodious breeze...
Dianchi Vigorous Retirement Town, a new apartment-style resort hotel, is adjacent to Dianchi Lake. The town has convenient transportation, and there are all kinds of food, drink and entertainment in the surrounding area. The rooms are well-equipped with internal facilities. It is the best choice for relatives and friends to travel and stay.
Ruili Jingcheng Dihai Hot Spring Resort is located in the east section of Ruili Avenue, near the bank of Ruili River. Looking at the bank of Ruili River in the distance, you can see the bamboo forest and Dai village at a glance. The interior style is simple and elegant, full of sense of technology; You can enjoy the fun of bathing in four seasons without going out.

【About Yunnan and the Southern Silk Road】
Yunnan, known all over the world for its beauty, richness and magic, has always been called a "secret land" by the outside world, attracting tourists from all over the world. The world-famous Jinsha River, Nujiang River, and Lancang River flow almost side by side to the distance here. Dangerous peaks and canyons criss-cross, rivers and streams have a long history, and lakes and hot springs are scattered all over the place, creating this magical and beautiful paradise. From Kunming, the provincial capital where the World Horticultural Exposition is held, to Dali, a famous scenic spot of "wind, flowers, snow and moon"; Yuanmou soil forest in various poses and with different forms, the "three parallel rivers" that are rarely seen in the world, and the Tiger Leaping Gorge with narrow rivers and fierce waters... These very different landscapes of mountains and rivers are like a natural museum of nature. Every tourist who comes here , will deeply feel that this is a vast, passionate, profound and charming magical place.
Southern Silk Road:
The Southern Silk Road started in Chengdu, Sichuan, and entered South Asia and other places through Yunnan, Tibet and other regions. When it comes to Yunnan, I believe that many people will be able to name Xishuangbanna, Dali, Lijiang and other tourist attractions, as well as the reputation of primitive scenery and ethnic customs. However, the beauty of Yunnan is by no means freehand. If you travel along any route, your experience may be quite different. On a "Southern Silk Road" opened by the ancestors of the Western Han Dynasty, from Bashu, through Yongren, Dali, Baoshan, Nujiang, Gaoligongshan, Tengchong, Ruili and other places in Yunnan, directly into Myanmar, and extending to Southeast Asia, the "Southern Silk Road" will have a different feeling. The post road business travel forged by thousands of years of wind and rain is still full of culture, interest and customs.
DAY 1 See Yunnan again, live by Dianchi Lake
From the first time we met, to the second time, the third time, and this time, Yunnan can bring me the joy of meeting for the first time every time, maybe because of the place I went to, maybe because of the people who came together , no matter what, every trip to Yunnan is extremely complete. After landing at Kunming Airport, we drove to the colorful ancient Dian city in Yunnan by the Dianchi Lake. This is one of the few large-scale tourist resort complexes in Yunnan, with everything you need to eat, drink, play and live.
In Hangzhou in July, the weather is hot and dry, but in Kunming in July, the breeze blows over the face, which makes it extremely cool and the mood becomes extremely pleasant. For dinner, we came to Shihexuan for dinner. The restaurant mainly focuses on traditional Yunnan cuisine, which is widely integrated with other cuisines from all over the country. The rich dishes and pure taste will whet your appetite.
In July and August, Yunnan is in the rainy season. Abundant rain brings Yunnan people the most delicious ingredients—mushrooms. All kinds of mushrooms are put on the table by Yunnan people, either cooking, stir-frying, or Soup, different ways, the same delicious, summer vacation to Yunnan, must try fresh mushrooms.

DAY 2 Entering Yunnan, exploring the origin of the name of Yunnan
Countless visits to Yunnan in history have allowed the outside world to know more about Yunnan each time, and every bit of understanding has doubled the charm of Yunnan. In the stories of coming and staying, Yunnan culture has amazed the world. Entering the history of Yunnan is actually a history of the discovery of Yunnan as vast as smoke. This time, Colorful Yunnan Ancient Dian Famous City has started a new journey of exploration in Yunnan—joining hands with high-quality cross-border brands such as outdoor car brand JEEP, National Geographic, and Famous Black Horse, to re-walk the Southern Silk Road and walk along the Yunnan The development route of civilization, exploring ancient Yunnan, discovering oneself.
Starting from the Dianchi Lake, we drove all the way to Chuxiong and walked into the Shancai Kingdom restaurant. The ingredients here are all taken from nature, just like the caravan dishes many years ago. The restaurant displays the most seasonal mushrooms. A group of people sat around a low dining table with pine needles as the cushion and authentic Western Yunnan food on the table. This is what it looks like to explore the Southern Silk Road.
Xiangyun County in Yunnan Province, where the Western Yunnan Plateau intersects with the Hengduan Mountains in Western Yunnan, is the source of Yunnan, known as "Ancient Yunnan" and "Little Yunnan". The Yunnan post in the territory still retains the original name of "Yunnan" in Yunnan Province. Xiangyun is the bridgehead for the introduction of Central Plains culture to Yunnan, also known as ancient Yunnan. In its territory, there is a dazzling pearl inlaid on the ancient Silk Road in Southwest China——Yunnan Station.
This door, that window, the stone archway in front of the house, how much rain has been heard, and how many years have been witnessed. Sunrise and sunset, people come and go, after a few years, they are still eye-catching in those places where they have stopped for a hundred years, not for anything else, this was once the largest post station on the Ancient Tea Horse Road, and the sound of horseshoes here will always echo... ··
From the bank of Dianchi Lake, through Chuxiong, to Dali, to the foot of Cangshan Mountain, in the summer flowers and gentle breeze, spend a pleasant time in Lishe Manor...
Dali Lishe Manor is located at the foot of Shengying Peak in Cangshan Mountain, with an altitude of 2100 meters. The manor has hundreds of plants and flowers, and entering it is like walking into the fairy tale world of the Wizard of Oz. The owner of this manor is a couple who have lived in the United States for many years. The man is simple and the woman is elegant. When they returned to Dali from the United States, the hillside was a barren hill. Falling leaves return to their roots, they love the irreplaceable landscape and air here, so they designed it completely by themselves, and moved the rural life of the United States to the foot of Cangshan Mountain.
For dinner, we came to Dali Songmeiyuan Restaurant. The traditional and simple signboards are full of vigorous calligraphy by famous calligraphers, highlighting the cultural charm of Songmeiyuan Restaurant. Stepping into the small courtyard of the restaurant, the house that retains the traditional Bai nationality fall into sight. Small bridges and flowing water, winding paths leading to seclusion are the best terms to describe "Songmeiyuan Food Square". The traditional special dishes of Dali Bai nationality here are a collection of delicacies from all over the Dali Prefecture. With the improvement and innovation of the chef, the characteristics of the Nanzhao Kingdom are fully displayed.
DAY 3 Hiking Huasong Forest, re-walking Bonan Ancient Road
In the early morning of Huaqiao Town, the morning mist lingers in the mountains, smoke rises from the villages in the distance, and the birdsong in the mountains rings in the ears, which wakes people up like an alarm clock. I feel very beautiful and comfortable. If it is not rainy, I really want to walk barefoot on this vast land. Maybe this is where the charm of nature lies.
Yongping in western Yunnan was called Bonan in ancient times, and the long Southwest Land Silk Road passed through it, known as the Bonan Ancient Road in history. In Yongping Shanyang Ancient Town, there are still Ming and Qing-style streets, houses, stone roads, post stations, stables and other historical relics, from which we can imagine the prosperity of the ancient town.
Walking along the former Bonan Ancient Road, the dense forest still cannot stop the pouring rain, and the rain and fog rise in the forest. At this time, the scene in front of you is like a fairyland.
For more than 2,000 years since the opening of the Bonan Ancient Road, caravans have been the main mode of transportation, providing a basis for communication between countries and regions along the route. Along the Bonan Ancient Road, there are many historical and cultural traces. For example, there is Yongguo Temple where Emperor Yongli lived as a sojourner on Bonan Mountain, and Jinguang Temple is known as "the ancient Maitreya temple of the lotus of the Qing Dynasty".
From the ancient town to Jihong Bridge, there must be a broken pass on the way. This is the only pass from Shanyang Bazi uphill and then downhill to the Lancang River. The three characters "jueluyao" are written on the arched closed door. According to scholars' research, the two sides of the closed door were written "Xiongguan towering" and "jueluyuan". The word "far" no longer exists.
For dinner, we came to Baoshan’s unique Yucui Garden. Yucui Garden has a beautiful ecological environment, charming pastoral scenery, and unique food flavor. The suckling pig is the most famous delicacy in Baoshan. The delicious gravy of the suckling pig strongly stimulates the taste buds.
DAY 4 The border line that can be crossed, feeling the profound two countries in one village
Wanding Town is a town under the jurisdiction of Ruili City, Dehong Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Wanding means "the place where the sun shines" in Dai language. Wanding can be seen in ancient books and can be traced back to the Han Dynasty. Wanding is a pocket-sized historic town, inhabited by Han, Dai, De'ang, Jingpo and other ethnic groups. It is a multi-ethnic town where the famous Nanyang Overseas Chinese Mechanics Returned to Anti-Japanese Memorial Hall is located here.
Through the memorial hall, we learned a tragic and touching history. When the Anti-Japanese War broke out in 1937, Wuhan and Guangzhou fell one after another. The Japanese army blocked almost all international passages, leaving only a border town on the border of Yunnan: Wanding. In order to preserve this channel for the delivery of war supplies, Yunnan Province rushed to repair an international highway in nine months, covering more than 500 kilometers, crossing six mountains and five rivers.
The 200,000 migrant workers who built the road sacrificed more than 2,000 people. The road was repaired, but there were not enough drivers. Tan Kah Kee issued a recruitment order, and soon more than 3,200 young overseas Chinese drivers from Singapore, Penang, Selangor, Perak, and Gujiao signed up to form the "Nanyang Overseas Chinese Mechanics Returning Service Group" and rushed to the Burma Road. At that time, the flames of war did not spread to Southeast Asia at all, but these passionate young people in their twenties did not hesitate. Some secretly returned to China without telling their families, some renamed themselves "Iron Soul", and some even disguised themselves as men and drove heavy trucks. Delivering supplies, the last third of the young people died on this road. They are also heroes who won the War of Resistance. They have never been here. How many people can know this history.
I have been to the borders of many places, including Manzhouli on the Sino-Russian border, and Fangchenggang on the Sino-Vietnamese border, but no matter which one, you can feel the solemnity and seriousness of the border, the endless barbed wire, and the warning banner. However, when it comes to Yizhai and the two countries, it is another scene.
In the southwest of Ruili City, there is a small village with a cultural and geographical landscape on the border that is rare in the world - Yinjing. The famous No. 71 Boundary Pillar on the China-Myanmar border stands in the center of the village, and the national border line winds through the center of the village, which is a typical border area of "one village and two countries". The road from Ruili to Nongdao divides the same Dai village into two, the one on the Chinese side is called Yinjing, and the one on the Burmese side is called Mangxiu. The border in the village is bounded by bamboo sheds, village roads, ditches, and soil ridges. Therefore, Chinese melon vines climb to Burmese bamboo fences to produce melons, and Burmese hens run to Chinese residents’ homes to lay eggs. It is not uncommon for border dwellers to cross the sacred border dozens of times a month without realizing it.
The culture, language, and life of China and Myanmar blend and collide here. Sitting on the swing in Yinjing, you can appear in the sky over Myanmar with a little swing. Although Myanmar and China are separated by a strip of water, there is a clear sense of the times on both sides of this boundary marker. On the Chinese side are high-rise buildings under construction, while on the Myanmar side there are beautiful natural scenery.
Meng Mao Yan is a restaurant in Ruili that specializes in Dai flavors. The building facing the street is a six-story building, and the gate has obvious Dai characteristics. Ant eggs are a famous traditional dish in the Dai family. They are not only delicious, but also have high nutritional value. However, although ant eggs are delicious, they are extremely rare. The edible ant eggs are all produced by rhubarb ants that grow on trees. When climbing up a tree to retrieve eggs, it is inevitable to suffer from the bite of ants.
DAY 5 Stroll in the leisurely afternoon of Heshun Ancient Town
Yunnan, "Colorful Yunnan" is the most appropriate way to describe this land. In this magical land, there are Yi, Bai, Hani, Dai, Lisu, Naxi, Yao, Jingpo, Buyi, Shui, Dulong, etc. There are 25 ethnic minorities. Today we are visiting the Achang ethnic group unique to Yunnan.
Walking into Husa Township, we are greeted by a very distinctive national dance - Drum Dance. I saw the elder brother of the Achang ethnic group wearing a national costume, the drum on his back was shaking rhythmically, and the elder sister of the Achang ethnic group beside him Cheer them on with their loud songs.
The Achang nationality is one of the seven ethnic minorities endemic to Yunnan with a small population. The national language is Achang language. The Achang people are famous for their hospitality, which is reflected in "receiving guests with wine". If relatives and good friends come to the house, you must invite them to drink rice wine and eat, and give everything you have to show your respect and sincerity to the guests.
The Achang people in Husa are highly skilled in forging iron and making knives, and the ironware they forge are durable. In particular, long knives, sharp knives, machetes, kitchen knives, scissors, and repelling sickles are sharp and beautiful. They are known as "Husa Knife".
Compared with Lijiang Old Town, there are not many tourists in Heshun Ancient Town, and it looks more peaceful. A person strolls slowly in the ancient town, walks through the alleys, walks through the bluestone streets, and the oncoming carriage sits in the carriage. The two tourists are looking at the plants, trees, bricks and tiles here with novelty, just like me.
Heshun Town is located 4 kilometers southwest of Tengchong City. It was named "Yangwendun" in ancient times. Because a small river went around the village, it was renamed "Heshun". In Heshun Town, there are more than 12,000 Heshun people living overseas, and it is a famous hometown of overseas Chinese in Yunnan.
The small river at the head of Heshun Village runs around the village, and two stone arch bridges are built across the river, which look like double rainbows lying on waves, hence the name Shuanghong Bridge. The two bridges are exquisite in shape, with green willows lining the bridges, red lotus reflecting the sun, and the sound of village women pounding clothes. Under the bridges, ducks play in the water and fish fly in the shallow bottom, creating a beautiful scenery of the plateau water town.
Compared with other ancient towns, Heshun has more grandeur and less commercial atmosphere; it has more ancient cultural charm and less hustle and bustle. The beauty and tranquility here are just right.
DAY 6 Walk into the Li Family Courtyard and listen to history singing in your ears
The itinerary came to the end without knowing it, and there were only two destinations left. We drove to Qiluo Ancient Town at the penultimate stop, and the Li Family Courtyard is located in this ancient town.
Hundreds of years of baptism have made it quaint and vicissitudes, with weeds growing between the bridge stones, it looks a little mottled and old, but it still maintains a solemn and heavy feeling. The saplings protruded from the corner of the wall, and the already silent ancient courtyard glowed with a different kind of vitality. These saplings are like the listeners of the history of the Li Family Courtyard, like us, but different from us.
Tengchong's hot pot is also Tengchong earthen pot. It is also a delicacy that must be tasted when you come to Tengchong. It is used for sacrifices during the Qingming Festival. The earthen pottery hot pot made in Tengchong is made with slow fire and slow cooking. The side dishes are fresh and delicious, and it is a dish with unique flavor.
At the last stop of the itinerary, we came to the Jietou Ancient Papermaking Museum. As a carrier of communication, paper has always played an indispensable role in the record and inheritance of history. Today’s papermaking technology has advanced by leaps and bounds. However, how many years ago The paper used on the Silk Road was indeed made by ancient papermaking techniques.
As time goes by, papermaking technology is constantly updated, and in many places, paper mills have become synonymous with environmental destroyers.
