I'm A Huan, a designer who often lives in Shanghai, the magical city.
Due to the needs of my work, I often fly to various places. After work, I like to walk around the local area to experience the local nature and culture.
Recently, I was fortunate to participate in the design work of the OCT project in Tengchong. I finally had the opportunity to see the true face of Mount Lu in Tengchong! This time, I specially arranged work and set aside a day to experience the purest life in Tengchong.
The itinerary has been changing, but the beauty remains unchanged.
After a relaxing day, several people in the same company lamented that living in Tengchong is really very happy. In this regard, I decided to write what I saw on this day and share it with everyone.
Spring has just entered most parts of the country, but Tengchong is already bright and sunny.
Tengchong's magnolias, cherry blossoms and margaritas are the first to bloom.
At around 10 o'clock in the morning that day, within 5 minutes of setting off from the urban area, I encountered a field of rapeseed flowers. It was very shocking to see the layers of rapeseed flowers everywhere.
Rapeseed flowers and green wheat fields form a beautiful landscape among the fields.
Recalling that I went to Wuyuan to see rapeseed flowers, the drizzle showed the misty and rainy Jiangnan to the fullest. At this time, Tengchong is in the dry season, and the rapeseed flowers look correct and deeper in the sun.
The color of rape blossoms is as dark as raw egg yolk.
During the walk, I also encountered a strawberry picking garden. In Shanghai, it takes one or two hours to get there by car on weekends, and the journey is so exhausting that sometimes there is no interest. In Tengchong, it is not far from the urban area and can be reached in a short drive. Later, when I asked about the price, it was 12 yuan a catty, which was so cheap! Everyone decided to pick a basket and go home.
The strawberries here don’t have to be big. Small, round strawberries taste sweeter.
After picking strawberries, I ate lunch at a nearby farmhouse and prepared to go back to the hotel to rest for a while.
Before getting in the car, I found a few small stone monuments with a sense of history standing in the grass on the side of the road, and when I got closer, they turned out to be guiding monuments.
Through the text on the stele, Baidu checked it. This kind of stele is more common in Sichuan and Shaoyang, Hunan, mainly to protect the stele erector and passers-by.
They are also guide signs, but the ones in the urban area have a modern appearance. The road guides and scenic spot guides have different colors to distinguish them, so drivers can see them clearly.
In addition to the road signs, the roads here are clean and tidy, and the greenery on the roads is also very neat. The urban construction here is no less than that of other prefecture-level cities.
The street lights in the urban area are also a road and a style, which are very recognizable.
The surrounding area of the Shili Lotus Scenic Area is a lotus shape, and the road to the Cherry Blossom Valley Scenic Area is a cherry blossom shape.
After the lunch break, we went to Simola Wa Village, a Wa village with a history of more than 500 years.
"Smola" means "happy place" in the Wa language.
A total of 248 villages across the country were selected in the 2020 China's Beautiful Leisure Village Publicity List, and Simola Wa Village was on the list.
There are wooden drums in the village, and the colorful murals in the village show tourists the life scenes of the Wa people in the past.
Local proverb: "Prosperity depends on wooden drums", the murals are simple and vivid, and the architectural style is self-contained.
Villagers use their own houses to open restaurants and food stalls, and garden greening is mainly to grow edible vegetables, which are both beautiful and practical.
The courtyard greening in the restaurant can also become a delicious meal.
Coming out of the village, there are golden canola flowers on both sides of the road. In the fields, the villagers are building canals.
The stones used to build the canal are carried by mules, which saves labor and ensures the safety of farmers. A pair of mules carried a wooden frame on their backs, with stones tied on both sides, and they were still vigorous in the face of the rugged mountain road.
Mules take on the role of carrying stones, and can support five or six people in one day's work, which greatly improves work efficiency.
There are several Yunnan willows planted around Longtan in the field. Unlike the graceful willows in the south of the Yangtze River, the leaves of the willows here grow upwards, like middle-aged men.
Jiangnan wicker, dancing in the spring breeze, looks more graceful.
Yunnan willow, the willow leaves face upward, and because it is naturally light-loving, it often grows in the direction of light.
I have to say that in just one day, I felt the unique charm of nature, history, culture, and modern life in Tengchong, a blessed land on the far side.
In the construction of civilized cities across the country, Tengchong has set "a civilized person, a warm city" as a slogan, and the picture shows the city mascots "Tengteng" and "Chongchong".
Tengchong and Shanghai are actually very similar. One is an important port on the Maritime Silk Road, and the other is the necessary hub of the Land Silk Road. Tradition and modernization are integrated and intertwined in these two cities.
In Shanghai, you can see colonial buildings decades ago, as well as modern high-rise buildings
Historically, caravans were very prosperous here. Some people donated planes and built the British Consulate here. In fact, this place is very rich. Compared with the surrounding areas, Tengchong can be called "Little Shanghai".
The civilization inheritance hidden in the countryside, as well as international restaurants such as McDonald's and KFC, and the clean and modern urban construction vividly show the past, present and future of this small city of Tengchong.
Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Nanjing and other cities have opened direct flights, and it is very convenient to go to Tengchong.

In Tengchong, you can not only feel the beautiful scenery of the Dongli countryside, but also enjoy the convenience of a big city, and you can also see the humanities and the scenes that our nation has experienced.
Tengchong is really a happy place, next time I will experience it again!
