At that time, I was attracted by the opening chapter of "Diaogu Battlefield Essay", "Vastly vast, flat sand is boundless, and there are no people to be seen", and since then I have a little yearning for the desert.
tengger desert
Item preparation:
Quick-drying clothes (short-sleeved is recommended), quick-drying pants, sports underwear (must have for girls), disposable underwear (must be for girls, optional for boys), windproof jacket (very cold in the morning and evening), ice sleeves, magic towel, gloves, big Sun hat with brim (it is best if it can cover the neck), sunglasses (two pairs of prawns, I lost one in the desert), anti-sand glasses (not useful in the windy season), shoe covers (too lazy to wear them), Trekking poles (too lazy to take them), backpacks (throw them in the car), thermos cups (for rinsing mouth, making tea is limited to imagination), high-top shoes (important), thick socks, wet tissues (girls can wipe themselves before going to bed) ), paper towels (to wipe nosebleeds), garbage bags, fresh-keeping bags, snacks, sunscreen (it’s inconvenient to wash your face, discard it after a day of use), moisturizer, moisturizing lipstick (really dry), Huawei mobile phone (to take pictures of the starry sky), selfies Pole (to fix the phone to take pictures of the starry sky), other personal items
Shenzhen North Station
Character preparation:
Laozhen: anchor plus three-person team chief manager
Mantou: Pedestrian B plus a trio of guides
Me: A passerby who needs to be taken care of
The day before departure:
Working hard~~~
Take all the luggage and start Guangzhou (we booked a ticket from Guangzhou to Yinchuan, the price is cheaper)
The last subway train was empty.
It was the first time I was locked in a subway station, waiting for the staff to open the door and let me go.
Hard-working and honest classmate waiting at the subway entrance
First day of departure:
Get up at 3:30 in the morning (in fact, it means not sleeping);
Departed to the airport, had breakfast, checked in, and boarded the plane; I didn't sleep all night, so sleepy that I fell asleep on the plane.
Arrive in Yinchuan
Fortunately, I prepared a coat in my bag. When I got off the plane, the coolness of autumn hit me, and I was so cold that I put on my coat.
After getting on the airport bus (the local tyrants can take a taxi at will), we get off at the train station. The railway station in Yinchuan is not as chaotic as in other cities, it is very beautiful and tidy. We found something to eat in a nearby restaurant (Lanzhou ramen, don’t laugh). The taste was much stronger than in Guangdong. Western Xia).
I was attracted by the endless and magnificent Helan Mountain all the way, and felt the poetic flavor of "green mountains faintly" for the first time. The vast land meets the sky, the sky is thousands of miles away, and the blue sky and white clouds are just like a painting. We can't believe that the beautiful scenery in front of us is real. Along the way, we yelled like a countryman entering the city (the driver brother didn't even laugh at us, and drove very calmly).
We choose B&Bs for accommodation, which are generally more humane. Sure enough, as soon as I arrived at the place where I lived, the boss said that I can use the things here as I like, and I can just treat myself as the owner.
The design of the homestay is particularly distinctive, and the homestay has its own photo spot. There is a small forest (you can take a walk when you get up in the morning) and there is a hammock tea room with fruit trees in the forest.
The weather here has a large temperature difference between morning and evening. At noon, we went out directly wearing short sleeves and slippers. The cool breeze was blowing, and the blue sky was a good background board, and we could raise everything above our heads to take pictures.
The people and dogs on the street are lazy, the dogs just lay there and sleep, people sleep, play cards, play chess, we slow down and enjoy the rhythm of this city.
There are many scenic spots here, but we didn't go there (really tired). I heard that Zhenbei Fort is the place to film Westward Journey, so I went there for a walk (the happiest thing is to buy popsicles, people here really don’t like them, so it’s hard to buy them).
Strongly recommend the fruits here, which are fragrant, sweet and cheap (the streets are full in the evening, Bao Jun is satisfied).
The second day of departure (the first day of formal hiking)
At 10 o'clock, a special car will pick us up at the starting point (reminder: the desert is a dangerous place, don't run around by yourself)
After arriving at the Ming Great Wall site (the junction of Inner Mongolia and Ningxia) and arriving in Alxa, the tour guide brother enthusiastically helped us take pictures.

At noon, I arrived at the eating place (you can eat melons), and a pot of mutton soup was served. I was afraid of the smell of mutton (fortunately it was not very heavy), so I barely drank two bowls of soup. The tour guide shouted and cheered beside him, saying that he would eat more lamb, otherwise he would not have the strength to walk. I just think that shallots are delicious...
Follow the off-road vehicle to reach the starting point of the hike. (Forgot to mention, there are only three of us in our group, because we wanted to play more crazy, so we didn’t let the tour guide follow us, a bit regretful, haha)
It was the first time to touch such soft sand (thinner than the beach), and the three of us happily played with the sand (we played enough sand in this life at once).
The desert is really the same as it is written in the book, vast and uninhabited. (The tour guide lied to us that we would meet passers-by, and we didn’t even meet a ghost in three days)
Standing on the sand dunes, it seems as if you can touch the blue sky with your hands. At a glance, the end of the desert seems to be connected to the sky.
Maybe I had too much fun, and I didn’t walk a few kilometers in a few hours (more strenuous than ordinary roads, basically going uphill and downhill, the sand is too soft, it’s tiring to run for three steps when going uphill, and I’m still going downhill at any time).
The temporary driver may be rushing home for dinner, so he pulled us directly to Swan Lake (an oasis in the desert), but we couldn't walk anymore.
Strong recommendation: Riding in a car in the desert is more exciting than a roller coaster. Accelerate to the top of the dunes, cross the dunes, and rush down, and you can spit out the overnight meal.
Swan Lake: Surrounded by deserts, this oasis is surrounded by lakes, water plants, trees, cattle, camels, and well water (cool town beer, the taste is not worse than that taken out of the refrigerator), like a paradise on earth.
For dinner we had barbecue and beer (a perfect match in this kind of place), and I was wiping my nosebleeds (the climate was too dry) while eating mutton skewers (imagined by the picture).
The tour guide of the group next door (you can only meet people in the oasis) came over and asked, I heard that the three of you have signed up for three days of hiking? Seeing us nodding, the tour guide smiled and said something, you will doubt your life tomorrow (from the second day on, these four words are our mantra, plus there is nothing to love).
Dusk, camel caravan, desert, perfect match.
We lived in tents at night, and it was originally agreed that two people would share a tent (too crowded), but after we asked for consent, each person shared a tent.
The starry sky in the desert is really beautiful. Except for seeing such big and shining stars when I took the car from Xishuangbanna to Dali and passing through the mountains, I have never seen such a sky full of stars. No)
Yinhe has only been seen on TV, the first time I saw Yinhe, I really didn't recognize it (I thought it was a cloud). Later, the guide next door pointed it out to us, and as the night deepened, the Milky Way became brighter and brighter, so it became clearer.
I started to shoot the starry sky (although my Xiaomi can adjust the parameters of the starry sky, but it can’t expose, and I can’t shoot anything), and finally I can only use my tripod and Huawei with steamed buns. The background is matched with an old and invincible flashlight. Several sets of starry sky blockbusters (feeling good about myself). The moon is also very cooperative and does not appear, and we didn't see it until we went to bed.
Day 3 (Second day of hiking)
The neighbor snored and didn't sleep much all night. At 5:30, the group next door got up to watch the sunrise, and we were also woken up. Once the tent was opened, it was super cold. After shivering a bit, he came out wearing a thick coat.
The sunrise by the lake is different from the one I saw in Taishan before. It seems that there are colorful auspicious clouds, and the reflection of the lake is like a fairyland.
Today, I changed to the official driver brother, let us finish eating early in the morning, and then drove us off (too late for fear of the desert being too hot), and he went to dismantle the tent (for camping tonight).
Today we were very strong and walked more than ten kilometers (in fact, it was more than that, and we took a lot of detours). When I went to the herdsman's house to rest and eat at noon, I might be used to sitting and lying down in the desert, and I fell asleep on the bed when I was full (no hypocrisy). We didn't expect that in this vast desert, we could still drink Pepsi (although a little expensive) and popsicles (expensive).
Continue on foot in the afternoon (life has nothing to love, doubt life). Fortunately, the weather here is not as good as in Guangdong. As long as there is wind, the scorching sun above your head is like a decoration. As long as there is shadow, you can feel the coolness in your heart. (Later we sat next to a small weed, under the sand dunes, and said we didn’t want to move anymore). Here, I would like to praise the caring brother brother. Every time we walk to the supply point of the car, the driver brother will open melons for us to eat from time to time (super sweet).
I don't know how long we rested (the driver had already gone to the place for dinner), we started hiking again, and after finally turning over the sand dune, we came to the place to eat. Seeing free-range animals lifts our spirits.
A goat (with super big horns) saw me and came over (it scared me to death, afraid that it would hit me), I hurried into the small courtyard (the wall is only half the height of a person), because there is a door. As a result, the goat opened the door with its horns and walked in (I regretted that I forgot to record the video). After being scolded by the driver, it opened the door with its horns and walked out slowly (I couldn’t find it later, it should be fine). There is a black cat and a white dog (little milk dog, the cat is bigger than the dog and always bullies it) in the yard.
When I went out to take pictures of the animals outside (sheep, geese and chickens all over the mountain), a chicken walked up to me for some reason and looked at me sideways. Maybe let me take pictures. I was in an atmosphere of peaceful coexistence with animals. In the middle, the classmate Lao Zhen who walks with the wind comes, and the turkey next to him is scared so that the feathers on the tail are all spread out, and he feels that he is going to have a fight with Lao Zhen.
After eating and drinking enough, the driver brother took us to go sandboarding (it was super cool to see on TV, we were so excited)
After taking off the shoes (goggles and magic towels are not needed), the classmate Laozhen was the first to start skating, and the eldest brother pushed very hard, and she suddenly became a little person. Seeing the painful way she walked up, Mantou and I didn't want to play anymore. How cool it is to slide down (the farther the better), how painful it is to walk up (everything in the world is fair). There are also self-directed and self-acted projects such as the scene of Mr. Duck overturning his car, Mr. Duck rolling down the hillside, and Sister Xiong helplessly giving up her life to accompany the roll.
Because we are camping in the desert tonight (finally there are only a few of us), my brother found a place with the best signal for us. We lay barefoot on the sand and watched the stars (where there is no one, the sand is real clean), I opened the star map and looked at the corresponding constellations in the galaxy. The Milky Way has two brightest stars far away (our direct counterpart is Altair Vega).
Give Lao Zhen a romantic birthday surprise in the desert at night. (Secret planning for a long time)
Day 4 (Day 3 on foot)
The driver brother said that you can have breakfast after turning over the sand dune (high and far away). The three of us later brought our own snacks (a wise move) and settled our breakfast on a sand dune.
It took us more than an hour to turn over the sand dunes that the driver brother said, and finally saw Moon Lake (close at hand). It took another hour, and we sat on the top of a sand dune again, looking at the still distant Moon Lake (we couldn't walk anymore). The driver brother felt that it was a bit long, so he couldn't help but drive to find us. (See our first sentence, it’s been three hours, why are you still here?) I really can’t stand our slow speed, let us get in the car. (I met a self-driving car on the way, and the car got stuck in the sand and couldn't get out. Our driver brother drove the car out for them. We couldn't help clapping and cheering in the car, and shouted, brother driver, you are so handsome. The person in the car has an embarrassed face, hahaha).
After going to the desert road, I started the car tour in the desert again, maybe an hour (the old man became a crazy woman), I just feel that my stomach hurts (woo woo)
Back at the starting point, a big brother came over to say hello (seen in Swan Lake) and asked us if you came out, did you come out? No, you are sitting out. We grinned, and hurried to eat after eating the melon.
In the afternoon, I returned to the urban area of Yinchuan (Xingqing District). The urban construction is very good, so it is not fun at all (the Xixia District is still more interesting, but it is too far from the airport). Return the next day.
A few more photos, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, is also a touch of the soul.
The End
