【About Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area】
Baili Rhododendron is a national 5A-level tourist attraction. The large area of Rhododendron here is a sea of flowers that are naturally formed without any traces of man-made. There are more than 60 species of Rhododendron, such as Rhododendron lantana, Rhododendron large white and Rhododendron water red. Watch it once and enjoy it.
The Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area is very large, mainly divided into two major scenic spots, Jinpo and Pudi. It is said that the tour route of the tour group is generally Jinpo in the morning and Pudi in the afternoon. We are also foolishly following this order when we are newcomers, and the result is early in the morning. I was also shocked by the beauty of the crowded Jinpo scenic spot, so I suggest that you can change the order and stagger the tour groups to have a better tour experience.

Going forward, you will come to the place where the lantana rhododendrons are most concentrated, which is why this place is named "Lantana Forest". The so-called "Maying" refers to the big red tassel worn on the horse's head. The tall Rhododendron lantana trees grow all over the valley, with large and dense corollas, and the branches of the trees are like clusters of fire, dyeing this spring red and warming the hearts of every visitor.
There is also a poignant legend about Rhododendron lantana. The Baili Rhododendron Scenic Area is mainly inhabited by the Yi nationality. There used to be a beautiful Yi girl named "Soma". In the afternoon, the Baili Rhododendron was much cleaner. We came to another important scenic spot of Baili Rhododendron——Pudi.
Compared with Jinpo Scenic Area, Pudi Scenic Area is more suitable for walking hand in hand with your loved ones. There are criss-crossing wooden plank roads, shuttling through large areas of blooming rhododendrons. Walking slowly on it, enjoying the warm but not hot breeze in the spring afternoon, is very pleasant.
The most legendary scenic spot in the Pudi Scenic Area is Zui Jiuniu. The name sounds interesting. It is said that in history, Mrs. Shexiang, the chieftain of Shuixi, brought a group of Shuixi strong cattle to Zhu Yuanzhang in order to maintain the tranquility of the southwest border. Yishan Flower Valley is not far from Pudi Scenic Area. Although it is also one of the Baili Rhododendron Scenic Spots, it has a completely different style from Jinpo and Pudi. As soon as we got off the bus, we were deeply attracted by this place. There is no shadow of rhododendrons here, but it is as beautiful as Rhododendron forest.
Large expanses of green grass, the grass is full of all kinds of flowers, poppy, crabapple, crape myrtle, rapeseed, etc., yellow, orange, purple and white, the whole picture is like a moving oil painting, which is also in my mind The most beautiful appearance in the middle of spring.

【Cuckoo Lake】
This is the least popular attraction in our itinerary. Since the tourism industry has not been over-developed, this fairyland-like place is free.
Dujuan Lake is located in the southwest of Baili Dujuan. It is like a blue-green gem, dazzlingly inlaid in the land of Bijie. Dujuan Lake is surrounded by green mountains and green waters, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Whenever there is bright sunlight, there will be dreamlike reflections in the emerald green lake water.
There is also a wooden plank road next to Rhododendron Lake. The mottled shadows of the branches are blown by the breeze. It is very romantic to take a walk or blow the wind.
