foreword

Tibet, the closest place to heaven.
From childhood to adulthood, I have listened to Tibet countless times. There are sacred and white snow-capped mountains, blue and clear lake Haizi, flocks of sheep, ancient and mysterious Zhang Zhung culture, etc., which make me yearn for it very much. I always dream of going to Tibet one day.
Especially in June this year, after watching the recommendation film of Zhang Zhung culture in Ngari, Tibet, my desire to go to Tibet became stronger, and I was deeply attracted by the natural landscape and cultural customs of Tibet.
By chance, I was fortunate enough to go to Tibet with some friends in July, taking the G219 Lhasa to Ali section, feeling the great beauty of Tibet, and embracing the magical Ali area. Wake up by the sun every day, accompanied by the blue sky and white clouds all the way, sometimes meeting colorful auspicious clouds and burning clouds. Experience a day of strange trips through the four seasons, feel the water and sky in Mapang Yongcuo, the ghost lake Laangcuo that is unforgettable and photo-taking, the ruins of the capital of the Guge Dynasty with a long history, and the Wuma lake with three colors. Wrong, the majestic ghostly lake-colored Lincuo, the uncanny sky tree, the plateau starry sky full of stars, and Namtso surrounded by snow-capped mountains~~.
These encounters are worth visiting once in Tibet, twice in Tibet, three times in Tibet, and four times~~

How to deal with altitude sickness

When you go to Tibet, you will always talk about high rebellion. The oxygen content in Tibet is only 70% of that in the plains. When you first arrive at the plateau, most people will feel chest tightness, shortness of breath and other hypoxic symptoms to varying degrees. But after 1-2 days of adaptation, it will gradually improve. Before I arrived in Tibet, I had acute gastroenteritis. For those who I often run to the plateau in western Sichuan, I started to feel dizzy as soon as I landed in Tibet. Especially in the first two days, I was dizzy when walking. But on the third day, the gastroenteritis healed, and I gradually adapted to the plateau, and there was no high fever anymore. Combining myself and the collection, I have compiled some high-level precautions, hoping to be helpful to those who are reading this article.

1) It is best not to go to the plateau if you are sick, it will worsen.
2) After entering the plateau, do not overeat, so as not to increase the burden on the digestive organs.
3) When entering the plateau, it is best not to drink alcohol and smoke, and eat more fruits and vegetables.
4) Drink plenty of water when entering plateau areas.
5) When you first arrive at the plateau, do not walk quickly, run hard, and do not do physical labor.
6) After arriving in Tibet, it is recommended to rest in Lhasa for 1-2 days before heading to the Ali area.
7) In the first 3 days before going to the plateau, it is best not to wash your hair and take a bath
8) It is suitable for enduring high reactions. If it is just a headache and no other symptoms, it can be tolerated moderately. But you can't hold on.
9) High reaction is divided into three stages: headache, dizziness, vomiting, and pulmonary edema. In the second stage of vomiting, you must take a good rest. If it does not improve, it is recommended to leave the plateau. Otherwise, pulmonary edema will be very serious in the third stage. The companions in the same company reached the second stage and decided to suspend the itinerary if they did not get better. Life is more important ha.

Tibet Travel - List of Standing Items

【Clothing】
The temperature difference between morning and evening in Tibet is particularly large, so it is recommended to travel in summer and autumn every year. I went to Tibet in mid-July. Combined with myself, the list of clothing items recommended for everyone is:
Clothing: One piece of down jacket, one piece of sun protection clothing, shirt, short sleeves, trousers, and sports shoes are all acceptable. In particular, remember to bring down jackets and sun protection clothing, because the temperature difference between morning and evening is very large, and places without the sun will be very cold.
Other essential items: hats, sunglasses, sunscreen scarves, gloves, a change of underwear, etc.

Be sure to bring a hat and sunglasses.

【daily necessities】
Essentials: sunscreen, lip balm, body lotion, hand cream, umbrella, etc.
(PS: I don’t have enough experience to go to the plateau, so I only brought sunscreen. I didn’t expect that after this, my lips peeled and bubbled, and my body skin was also very dry. Lip balm and moisturizer are necessary.)

【Drugs】
Tibet is very big, so you must prepare more medicines according to your own situation. Such as cold medicine, gastrointestinal medicine, motion sickness medicine, painkiller, glucose, Band-Aid, rhodiola and so on. Especially for cold medicine and gastrointestinal medicine, the portion should be sufficient. I have gastroenteritis and have deep experience. There are also high-reaction medicines, prepare more glucose water and the like.

【Certificate】
1) ID card: When traveling to Tibet, you must bring your ID card, which is required in many places and on many roads.
2) To Ali area, you need to apply for the "Border Area Pass" in advance. The G219 Tibet section is located in the border management area. You need to show the "Border Area Pass" within the validity period. It is recommended to apply at the relevant unit of the household registration before departure or after arriving in Lhasa.

【other kind】
It's a long way to the Ali area. It is recommended to bring some food and snacks on the road. Walk around and eat, and the time will pass quickly~

The first day of travel: Arrive in Lhasa

Lhasa, here I come. Enduring all kinds of discomfort caused by gastroenteritis, I finally arrived at Lhasa, which I was thinking of. Lhasa, known as the "Sunshine City", has long sunshine hours all year round, mostly sunny days. There are Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple and other scenic spots in the urban area.

There are multiple flights a day from Chengdu to Lhasa. I chose to take the Chengdu Airlines flight at noon, which took about 2 and a half hours. On the plane, I could overlook the mountains of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

A group of photos of mountains taken on the plane made me very excited.

I stayed at the InterContinental Lhasa Paradise Hotel that day. The hotel is very large. The most important thing is that there are support equipment in it. If you feel high reaction, you can inhale oxygen. The breakfast is good, with a lot of choices. For me who is dizzy, it is better to eat lightly when I first come.

The second day of travel: all eyes are outside the window, Lhasa-Lhazi

Apply for the border area pass in Lhasa, and start the journey of the national highway G219. All the way from Lhasa to Lazi. We are a group of people, mighty and mighty.

On the road in the car, it seems boring, but it is actually interesting. Playing around with friends at the back of the car, eating all kinds of snacks. Or look out the window to see the beauty of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The sky is so blue, blue makes people happy physically and mentally.

Passing through some places, there are rapeseed flowers blooming everywhere. That is, the weather on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau changes as soon as it is said. The previous mountain is still sunny and sunny, but when it is turned over, it is cloudy and rainy.

After driving for a while, it was blue sky, white clouds and dark clouds again, and colorful auspicious clouds were also encountered. The moment they saw the colorful auspicious clouds, everyone in the car screamed.

Not only colorful auspicious clouds, but also sunset glow. The sunset in Tibet falls on the mountains, like a big scene in a movie, beautiful.

Excited, I opened the first photo of this trip.

The passing aunts and sisters looked at me and smiled kindly. This kind of adventure on the way of travel will be unforgettable for a lifetime. Tibet is really a magical place.

The third day of travel: People are on the road, Lazi goes to Ali

Today is a day of driving. We traveled from Lazi to Ali, which is more than 800 kilometers. The journey is very far, but this journey, although tired, has experienced the changes of the four seasons in a day, and I feel the uncanny workmanship of nature. Perhaps, it can only be encountered in Tibet.

First, the common vegetation landscape on the plateau

Then came across a sea, everyone got out of the car excitedly and took various pictures.

And then into the desert landscape. A piece of barren, a piece of yellow.

Then there is the landscape of snow-capped mountains and grasslands, and flocks of sheep pass by.

A passenger car, driving on G219, feeling the beauty of the motherland.

As the sun set, I was running happily with my friends, feeling the beauty of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

As a result of still on the road at night, I came across a large bright starry sky with brilliant stars.

Day Four of Travel: The Holy Lake and the Poisonous Black Lake

Today's itinerary is the "wrong" to go to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. The fault is the lake. First of all, we arrived at Mapang Yumco.

It is 35 kilometers east of Pulan County in Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, and south of Mount Gang Rinpoche. The surrounding natural scenery is very beautiful. Since ancient times, Buddhist believers have regarded it as the holy land "the center of the world". It is the most transparent freshwater lake in China and one of the three "sacred lakes" in Tibet. It is also the birthplace of four of Asia's largest rivers.

"Mapang Yumcuo" and "Invincible Jasper Lake", in Tibetan, "Mapang" means undefeated and invincible. Mapang Yongcuo was first named "Ma Chui", or "Ma Chui Cuo" is the name of Guangcai Dragon King in Yongzhongben religion. It is said that Mapang Yongcuo is the most holy lake, the nectar bestowed by Shengle Dazun to the world, and the holy water can cleanse the troubles and obstacles in people's hearts. She is the perfect lake in the soul, she is the real paradise in this universe, the Shangri-La of the gods, the paradise of all things.

There is no shuttle bus to Mapang Yumco, so you can only charter a car to go there. Or take the shuttle bus to Pulan County, get off at Hall Township, and then take a free ride to Jiwu Temple in the village.

The holy lake is so beautiful that it cannot be described in words. Just crazy photos.

Embrace nature and feel the beauty of nature.

Next to Mapang Yumco is Ghost Lake. The ghost lake is Laon's fault. Tibetan means "poisonous lake". It is located in Pulan County, Ngari Prefecture, at an altitude of 4574 meters. It is separated from the holy lake of fresh water.

The scenery of the ghost lake is equally beautiful, and the lake water is also intoxicatingly blue, but it has been given the notoriety of "ghost lake" and entered into another book. In fact, Holy Lake Ghost Lake was originally a lake. After the glacier melted, the debris carried by the glacier accumulated in the middle of the original Great Lake, causing the lake bed to rise. Afterwards, global warming and evaporation exacerbated the shrinking of the glacier, reducing the amount of water supply and shrinking the area of the Great Lake. causing the lake level to drop.

Ghost Lake can be said to be one of the favorite lakes of this trip, and I can't help but take crazy pictures.

Next to the ghost lake is Gang Rinpoche. It is located in Baga Township, northern Pulan County, Ngari Prefecture. Gang Rinpoche is the main peak of the Gangdise Mountains, the highest peak in the west section of the Gangdise Mountains (between the Kunlun Mountains in the north and the Himalayas in the south), and one of the four sacred mountains in Tibet. center of".

Gang Rinpoche is 6,714 meters above sea level. The mountain is composed of Neogene glutenite. It is a steep, conical "pyramid-shaped" mountain. Many people speculate that Gang Rinpoche is a pyramid.

The fifth day of travel: Exploring the Guge Dynasty of the previous year

Today we went to the ruins of the Guge Dynasty. The Guge Dynasty site is located in Pulan County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet. The total area of the site is about 720,000 square meters. It is one of the first batch of key cultural relics protection sites in the country. The current site is more than 300 meters high from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain. There are buildings and caves of the same color as the earth everywhere. Except for a few temples, all the houses have collapsed and only earth walls remain.

There are city walls around the ruins, and watchtowers at the four corners. The whole site is built on a small earth hill, and the building is divided into upper, middle and lower floors, which are palaces, temples and dwellings in turn.
.

The predecessor of the Guge Dynasty can be traced back to the Zhang Zhung Kingdom. The establishment of the dynasty probably began in the 9th century. It was established after the collapse of the Tubo Dynasty that unified the Tibetan plateau. By the end of the 17th century, 16 kings had been hereditary. It is a local regime established by the descendants of the Tubo royal family in Ali in the west of Tubo, and its ruling scope covered the entire territory of Ali at its peak.

But with the passage of time, all that remains now is a handful of loess and foundations. The kingdom that disappeared overnight is a must-see stop on the 219 Ring Road.

The sixth day of travel: the uncanny workmanship of nature, in various poses and with different expressions

Go to Gar County today, and go to Xiayigou on the way. Xiayi Ditch is located in Xiangzi Township, Zanda County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, with a total length of about 5 kilometers and dozens of small ditches around it.

Due to the long-term weathering, the earth forest landform here presents the spectacle of "mushrooms" that are wide at the top and narrow at the bottom, and the earth forest landforms that are shaped like people, fish, turtles, marmots, frogs, birds, etc. are even more lifelike. The bottom of the soil forest here is mainly gravel and loess, and the top is the ore layer with high iron content. Under the sunshine of spring, it is patchwork and colorful.

The seventh day of travel: Yanyang Ancient Road, Zhangcang Three Lakes, Wumacuo

Continue on today and go to the Yanyang Ancient Road. Salt is one of the indispensable and important substances in daily life, and nature has endowed people in Salt Lake Township with rich salt mine resources. The people here have not stopped the pace of mining natural salt because of the high altitude, severe cold climate, and poor conditions. It not only meets the needs of the local people for living salt.

At the same time exported to India, Nepal and other places. As early as more than 1,000 years ago, there were more than 50 salt gangs stationed there. They grazing and transporting alpaca and cattle, singing labor folk songs about salt mining, saying proverbs and code words about salt mining, and transporting Zhangcang Sanhu salt To Purang, Shigatse, India, Nepal and other places, it takes about 2-3 months for each round trip. After going through a lot of hardships, I traded with merchants in the form of barter, in exchange for highland barley, brick tea, and cloth and other items needed for daily life, thus giving birth to the famous "Salt Sheep Ancient Road" legendary story, which also fully embodies the wisdom and hard work of the people at that time.

Zhangcang Sanhu pure white holy salt. There are revolutionary salt, cultural salt, economic salt and so on.
Cultural Salt: As early as more than 1,000 years ago, there were about 50 salt gangs stationed there. They grazing and transporting alpacas and cattle, singing labor folk songs about salt mining, and speaking proverbs and code words about salt mining. Salt is transported to Purang, Shigatse, India, Nepal and other places. It takes about 2-3 months for each trip back and forth. Cloth and other items necessary for daily life, thus giving birth to the famous "Salt Sheep Ancient Road" legend.

Economic salt: Yanhu Township vigorously develops characteristic industries, relying on the collective economy, and adopts a business model such as "unified mining, unified management, unified operation, unified sales, and unified dividend distribution" to vigorously develop the salt industry. Today, the annual output of salt has reached 3,000 tons , achieving sales of 490,000 yuan, effectively boosting the development of the local social economy.

On the way to Gaize, we passed Wuma Co. For us in the car, there were all kinds of screams, and lakes with three colors appeared. After searching online, it turned out that it was called Wumacuo. Put a group of photos first, haha.

Wumacuo, located in Gaize County, Ali District, was amazed by its beautiful scenery as soon as it arrived. There is a beach in the middle of the lake, which divides the lake into dark blue, light blue and other colors. And there are two lakes next to Wumacuo. At a glance, the water and the sky are all in one color, beautiful and dreamy. It is one of the most beautiful lakes on the Ali Grand Ring Road.

The eighth day of travel: Sky Tree, Selin Co, Bangor Starry Sky

Continue to Lhasa. Walking on the road of G317, the scenery is different. There are animal sanctuaries on both sides, and various precious animals come to you from time to time. And our itinerary today is to go to the Sky Tree.

The "Sky Tree" is located near milestone 2442 of National Highway 317 and was formed by the erosion of water. Seen from the sky, it is a living tree of the earth with luxuriant branches and leaves.

Selincuo is the second largest saltwater lake in Tibet after Namtso. It is located at the junction of the three counties of Shenzha, Nyima and Bangor. At an altitude of 4530 meters, the lake is 72 kilometers long from east to west, with an average width of 22.8 kilometers. The widest part is 40 kilometers in the east, and the lake covers an area of 1640 square kilometers. It is the largest inland lake system in Tibet.

Serin was a big devil who used to live in Duilongdeqing in the west of Lhasa. Every day he greedily devoured tens of millions of creatures, including humans and all animals. No one could do anything about his despotic power. On a good day after a thunderstorm, Master Padmasambhava, who has been fighting demons all the way, finally found Serin. So under the hot pursuit of Master Rinpoche, Serin fled to a vast and turbid lake in the south of Ganni Changtang. The master ordered Serin not to leave this lake forever, to repent piously in the lake, not to harm the aquatic people, and to take this The name of the big lake is "Selin Duicuo", which means "Selin Devil Lake".

The scenery of Selincuo is also very beautiful, and I can take pictures with my friends.

When you go to Tibet, you must see the starry sky. Everyone met in the early morning of Bangor to find a sparsely populated sky without light pollution to shoot the stars. Depart after 11 o'clock in the evening, and see the sky full of stars, twinkling and twinkling, and the Milky Way.

I lamented the beauty of nature. I haven't seen so many starry sky for a long time.

Day 9 of the trip: Nam Co, one of the three holy lakes in Tibet

Today I returned to Lhasa from Nagqu. The altitude of Nagqu made me worry about the high reaction, but luckily the journey was safe. On the way back, we passed through Namtso Lake.

Namtso is the highest lake in the world and the second largest saltwater lake in China. Also known as Tengger Sea, Tengger Lake. "Namtso" in Tibetan means "heaven", "cuo" means lake, and Namtso means "heavenly lake". The surface of the lake is approximately rectangular, 70 kilometers long from east to west, 30 kilometers wide from north to south, and covers an area of 1940 square kilometers. It is the largest lake in Tibet. The altitude is 4718 meters. The salinity of the lake water is 1.7 g/L, which belongs to brackish water lake. The lake is blue and clear, with a depth of more than 30 meters.

In the distance of Namtso is the Nyainqentanglha Snow Mountain, majestic and majestic. Snow mountains and lakes, quietly enjoy the happiness of travel.

Where the scenery is good, I can't help but take a group of pictures.

conclusion

In the world of mortals, occasionally we need to let go of ourselves, cleanse our minds, and let our bodies and minds return to the original state of mind. And Tibet is a good choice.

Destined, will go again.
