Temple of Heaven Park—Beijing Natural History Museum—Jingyun Garden—Ji Xiaolan’s Former Residence Memorial Hall—Qianmen Street—Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall—Qianmen Street—Beijing Railway Station
I thought it would be easy to get breakfast in Beijing, but I didn't expect it to be so difficult. I found this KFC after walking three stops, and I was very happy. The area of the store is quite large, with two floors in total. I eat breakfast here at around 6:00 in the morning, and there are not many customers now. I bought a flatbread roll with stewed shredded pork in Beijing sauce. It is very delicious, very Chinese breakfast, and it is very in line with the taste of the Northeast. The other is a breakfast set, cheese chicken panini and soy milk, I also ordered a cup of coffee.
The area of Temple of Heaven Park is actually quite large. After breakfast, we took a walk outside. It was just after 8 o'clock, and there were already many tourists.
I arrived at the Beijing Museum of Natural History at 8 o'clock. I thought I had come early, but suddenly a lot of school buses came, including a kindergarten and an elementary school. The students lined up at the gate early. I suddenly felt that it was not the right time to come that day. It turned out that my hunch was correct. Almost every venue was rushed to visit. The students were very noisy, and there were too many people to take pictures. At the end of the visit, I couldn’t stand it and left hastily. . The background sound in the video is not removed, just to let everyone hear how noisy it is, and their heads will explode!
Tickets: Free to visit, you need to make an online reservation one day in advance. Closed on Monday, Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:00, no entry at 16:00.
The appearance of the Museum of Natural History is still majestic, anyway, I think it is very beautiful.
The Museum of Natural History has more than 100,000 pieces of cultural relics, fossils, and specimens. There are four basic exhibitions and a dinosaur world exhibition. The number of large-scale whole ancient mammal fossils in the collection ranks second in the world. Our visit started from the basement floor. The dinosaurs in the dinosaur park are all movable and have sound, which is quite interesting. There is also a dinosaur park on the first floor, which is connected to the basement floor, so we can visit together. The Aquatic Biology Museum is very interesting. At the beginning, there are small tanks, and there is a large pool in the middle. Don’t touch the fish in it, they will really bite people. Finally, I saw sharks in the submarine tunnel, 15:00 a day 00 There is a feeding show. Walking into the human body exhibition, a lot of scientific knowledge about the human body was discussed.
On the first floor, we visited the Hall of Paleo-Mammals, Hall of Paleo-Reptiles, Animals—Friends of Man, and the Prosperity of Invertebrates;
On the second floor, I visited Origin of Man, Plant World, and Magical Africa. The specimens used in the exhibitions in Magical Africa were all donated by Mr. Kenneth Behring. I also saw the specimens donated by Mr. Behring in Shenzhen Museum.
The third floor is the Discovery Corner, and there is also a 4D theater.
Because I live near Ji Xiaolan's former residence, I came here to see Ji Xiaolan's former residence, but I didn't expect to have extra gains. Jingyun Garden is located in the southwest corner of Dashilan and on the west side of Ji Xiaolan’s former residence. Because it is close to Ji Xiaolan’s former residence, I thought it was only a part of the former residence at first. Historically, this land once belonged to the west cross courtyard of Ji Xiaolan’s former residence.
Tickets: Open all day, free to visit.
As a park in the middle of the street, the area of more than 1,000 square meters is not too small, and the green decoration is very good. It can be seen that there is a big stone with the birthplace of Peking Opera written inside. It has a long history. In 1931, Master Mei Lanfang and others established the Beijing National Opera Society in Ji Xiaolan’s former residence, and this became the site of the “Fuliancheng” Peking Opera class.
The cultural background here is profound, and it is a gathering place of Liyuan culture, Beijing-style culture and other cultures. There are many introductions about Peking opera and many Peking opera facial makeup.
The gate of Ji Xiaolan's former residence memorial hall is not conspicuous. The gate facing the street is an auspicious and wishful gatehouse on the top of a hard mountain. The gatehouse is covered with dense branches and leaves, and the golden branches and leaves hang down, making the gate of the former residence even more antique.
This is a wisteria more than 200 years ago, with coiled branches and leaves covering the sky. According to legend, it was planted by Ji Xiaolan himself. If you look at it in May and June when the wisteria is in full bloom, it must be quite dreamy. It is said that Mr. Lao She often sat at the dining table under the vines, admiring the beautiful scenery and tasting delicious food.
Tickets: 10 yuan off-season.
Ji Xiaolan's former residence is a Qing-style brick and wood structure, which belongs to the architectural pattern of two-entry courtyard. The hall is spacious, bright, elegant and luxurious, and the sculptures are also lifelike.
On the front of the backyard is Yuewei Thatched Cottage
The backyard is particularly fresh and elegant. There were two begonias planted by Ji Xiaolan in the yard, but now there is only one remaining, which is still full of vitality. The promenade in the backyard is antique and very elegant. It is full of small red lanterns. My favorite is the big palace lantern with Jifu written in the middle. It must be very time-traveling to imagine holding the lanterns at night.
The bronze statue of Ji Xiaolan must have his standard big cigarette bag. Liu Shaobai lived here in the 1920s, and it was called "Liu Mansion" at that time. In 1931, Master Mei Lanfang and others established the Beijing National Opera Society here, which became the site of the "Fuliancheng" Peking Opera class.
Most of the snack bars on Qianmen Street have no seats. After all, the weather is cold, and I can’t walk while eating. I see other people eating noodles with noodles? The appearance of Wonton Hou is in an antique architectural style, and the interior of the store is also in line with the temperament of the front door, with my favorite palace lantern overhead.
Wonton Hou's spoon is very interesting,
We bought beef wontons and chicken wontons, which are quite delicious. Mixed three shreds are very different from what I imagined. I thought it was potato shreds, dried tofu shreds and chili shreds.
After lunch, come for milk tea. The clerk's service attitude is quite good, and they are also very enthusiastic, but the dining area in the store is not big, so you need to wait for a table.
I ordered the signature milk tea and signature milk green, and the clerk asked me, can you move it? I said yes, and then I took it away tremblingly, it was really heavy.
While wandering around Qianmen Street, I accidentally discovered Madame Tussauds. I only knew that there was one Madame Tussauds in Shanghai and Hong Kong, but I had only been to Madame Tussauds in Shanghai. Beijing has added a display area of the Chinese spirit in this one, and there are many Olympic champions in it.
Arriving at the Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall, the all-glass transparent appearance looks very tall.
Tickets: Free but not free, no need to make an appointment in advance, exchange tickets with ID card, I have a new collection of paper tickets, the ticket party is so happy.
The exhibition hall displays the development history of Beijing in various ways. There are four floors in total. There is no conventional exhibition area on the first floor, only some sculpture exhibits.
According to my visiting habits, take the straight ladder and go directly to the fourth floor to start the visit. On the fourth floor, I first visited Beijing's transportation exhibition area, followed by the special exhibition area for environmental protection, water affairs, and energy conservation, and the Beijing Olympic venue planning and construction exhibition area, showing how to become a low-carbon ecological city. There is also a multimedia engine on the fourth floor. It is said that there are several 4D movies, but I didn't see it. The video in the middle hall is played by time period, and you can also overlook the urban planning model on the third floor.
On the third floor, go straight to the Beijing urban planning model in the center, which is currently one of the largest urban planning models in the world. People can go up and visit, and the water flow, bridges and floors are vividly displayed.
The exhibition area of the building is mainly to look at the history of Beijing, the exhibition area of the changes of the ancient city of Beijing and the protection exhibition area of Beijing's famous historical and cultural cities. There are many antique buildings in it, and you can also watch video explanations. , "Tianqu Danque" long scroll of fine brushwork.
I only know that the Forbidden City in Beijing has a large area, but I have never had a general idea of how big it is. The solid wood model of the Forbidden City is really super shocking, and you can feel the majesty of the Forbidden City.
In the photo exhibition of Beijing history on the map, I also saw a brief list of Beijing's historical names.
The last thing I saw on the second floor was the exhibition of Beijing's urban master plan until 2035.
Back to Qianmen Street for dinner, it is said that Emperor Qianlong came across his house during his private visit to hunger in micro-clothes, and he thought it was delicious, so he named the store.
second floor
The 19 yuan a ginger crab roe siu mai is his signature, a little bigger than I imagined, without the spicy taste of ginger juice, and a little less greasy than crab roe soup dumplings;
The wonton in the casserole chicken is stuffed with fennel, and the chicken is scattered in it, with cabbage. The fly in the ointment is that a lot of pepper is added to the soup, which is very spicy.
The aunt who ordered the food asked three questions. She specifically said that spicy food should be avoided, and she also said that it is not spicy, and she only knows to charge money.
Because dinner was too spicy, I went back to Xianyuxian's house to buy milk tea. I ordered the grass jelly milk tea, but found that there was no grass jelly. The clerk said that I ordered it wrong. I had to choose the grass jelly milk tea to get the fairy milk jelly, and it could only be served cold.
Afterwards, on the way to find the National Center for the Performing Arts, I got lost, turned around, got lost again, and finally failed to find it.
The waiting room of Beijing Railway Station is really hard to describe. It feels the same as when I came here when I was a child. It’s too messy. . . The facilities are too old.
