The Grassland at the End of the Sky (Sequel) 3---Youzhou Canyon and the City along the River
Our car is walking in the canyon, it is really a scene step by step. The Yongding River flows in the canyon, which is green and blends with the green hills. As long as you hold up the camera, it is a beautiful landscape painting, which makes people intoxicated. I saw that the canyon is V-shaped, with steep and beautiful cliffs. Looking from a distance, its winding, deep and changeable geological structure is like hundreds of millions of volumes of books, stacked on top of each other. With the twists and turns of the Grand Canyon, it resembles A bond, dancing on the earth, is too beautiful to behold.
The total length of Youzhou Canyon is about 30 kilometers. The mountains on both sides of the upstream are steep and the water flow is turbulent. There is only one simple road dug in the middle of the mountain in the whole canyon, which can only pass one car, so this is a very skillful and courageous off-road route. Due to the inconvenient traffic, few cars pass by here, forming a quiet canyon. There is a large jujube forest in the middle of the canyon. The golden silk jujube has grown to the size of a little finger. It is just beside the road. It should be very sweet in autumn.
We walked and played, and the time passed so quickly. At this time, I saw a bridge, and crossing the bridge is the ancient village of Youzhou. This village belongs to Huailai County.
Go forward and you will arrive at the Beijing boundary. After driving more than ten kilometers, you will arrive at Yanhe City.
Beijing Yanhe City is called Yanhe City because it is by the Yongding River. It guards several mountain passes and the water mouth was called "Sancha (branch) village" and "Yanhekou" in ancient times. After the city was built in the sixth year of Wanli (AD 1578), it was called "Yanhe City". It is under the jurisdiction of Zijingguan, one of the three passes in the Great Wall of the Ming Dynasty, and is one of the key points leading to Beijing from outside the Great Wall. The small town has a long history. At that time, due to the dangerous terrain, it became a battleground for military strategists. Over time, a castle was built. Years of wind and rain have made this ancient building like a sculpture that has experienced many vicissitudes.
We just passed by and didn't have time to take a closer look. If there is a chance, we will definitely go again.
Our trip to the grassland has come to a successful conclusion at this time, an unforgettable journey. (full text)
