Huangsha Ancient Ferry, a 4A-level original ecological tourist attraction, is located in Xingqing District, Yinchuan City, on the east bank of the Yellow River 52 kilometers away from Yinchuan City. At first glance, the place looks ugly, but it can remind you of a series of historical stories about Wang Zhaojun—the Qingjing King of the Ming Dynasty——Emperor Kangxi. One of the eight sceneries.

In 1697, Emperor Kangxi made his first personal expedition against Galdan who rebelled on the Mongolian grassland. The military tent of the base camp was installed here, and he crossed the Yellow River from here to command Ruoding to return in triumph. Because there is an emperor crossing the river here, it has since been known as "the first crossing in the world".

During the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Guandu on the Yellow River in Ningxia included Hengcheng, Gaoya, Lixiang, Matou, Linhe, Yongkang, Changle, Xindun, Ning'an Fort, Guangwu, Mousezui, Zhangyi, Qingtongxia, and Binggou. There are 16 places, including Quanyan Mountain and Tianjiatan South, among which Hengcheng Ferry is the most famous. Hengcheng Ferry is an ancient Yellow River ferry. Because there is a place in the north of Hengcheng named Huangshazui, Hengcheng Ferry was also called "Huangsha Ancient Ferry" in Ming Dynasty.

Ningxia was once the fiefdom of Zhu Zhan, the 16th son of Emperor Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty Zhu Yuanzhang, King Qingjing. The descendants of the Zhu family once built the Great Wall and established a frontier fortress here. Zhu Zhan, king of Qingjing, also wrote a poem to describe the scenery here: the Yellow Desert is vast and vast, and visitors from ancient times visited it. Thousands of miles away, the emperor of the Yi Dynasty was in the palace, and one side was crowned with Xianqin. The wind blows the beach and the waves are dim, and the rain hits Tingzhou with new grass. Looking west at the source of the river, the sky is far away, and the turbid current is rolling from Kunlun.

No matter how far away the story is, it happened to Wang Zhaojun, one of the four beauties in ancient China, who had the charming face of falling geese. Because he offended the court painter Mao Yanshou, Emperor Cheng of the Han Dynasty gave Wang Zhaojun to Shanyu of the Huns as a marriage gift. Zhaojun goes out of the fortress, a well-known story among Chinese, the border gate of the fortress is located on the bank of Crescent Moon Lake next to Huangsha Ancient Ferry. Huangsha Ancient Ferry has witnessed an eternal story of peace and prosperity, and also witnessed a sad and sad song of nostalgia and departure.
