430 kilometers away from the capital, Beijing, and 110 kilometers away from Hohhot, the capital of Inner Mongolia, there is a grassland summer resort, Huitengxile Prairie.

The word "Huitengxile" is Mongolian, meaning "cold mountain ridge". It is cold in winter and cool in summer, with an average maximum temperature of 18 degrees.

How cool is it? Even if I live in a yurt in summer, I don't turn on the air conditioner, and I still feel a little cold under the thick quilt.

From Beijing, the capital, to Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, where the Huitengxile Grassland is located, it takes only two hours by high-speed train. So there is a saying that "one step west of Beijing is Ulanchabu".

When you come to Huitengxile Prairie, you must go to Huanghuagou Scenic Spot, the "Famous River Beyond the Great Wall". Huanghuagou is named because the flowers in this big ditch are mainly yellow flowers. This is a winding valley, the remains of ancient glaciers.

The Huanghuagou Scenic Spot is a national 4A-level tourist attraction. I made a live broadcast for netizens that day, and my friends took pictures of me.

On the grassland full of flowers, there is a neat row of Lele vehicles, with the rotating windmills in the background.

Although it was cloudy that day, it was still like a postcard, and it was a scene in every photo. I also imagined what it would look like when the sky was blue and white.

From May to September every year, flowers are everywhere here, becoming a sea of ​​flowers.

Sitting on a small train without windows, feeling the speed of the wind, looking at flowers of various colors, and looking at the leisurely horses, it is very pleasant.

After taking the small train, take the cableway to the bottom of the ditch.

Huanghuagou is the core scenic spot of Huitengxile Grassland. When visiting Huanghuagou, the main purpose is to see the strange stones here. There are also various amusement projects such as glass bridges and go-karts to meet the needs of different age groups.


You can also rent a Mongolian costume here for 20 yuan and take some different travel photos. I also met a few wolves that day for tourists to interact with and take pictures. The domesticated wolves have lost their wildness and their eyes are no longer fierce.

There is an oboo on the top of the mountain, covered with blue hada, praying for good weather and peace in all seasons.

I took a photo on the viewing platform as a souvenir. I wear so much in midsummer, but I still feel cold. Friends who are coming, don’t forget to wear thick clothes. All the staff are wearing thick military coats.

03｜Prairie Feast Deceitful Horse Feast

The fraudulent horse banquet is the most solemn palace banquet of the ancient Mongolian people. It is an "inner court banquet" that integrates banquets, singing and dancing, games and competitions.

Although the modern cheating horse banquet has lost a lot of procedures, it is still very grand. Whether it is a waiter or a performer, the costumes and every move are quite in place.

All the tourists who participated in the fraudulent horse banquet had to wear uniform costumes. I accidentally acted as a princess that night, sitting in one of the four most important positions.

The Mongolian people have been good at singing and dancing since ancient times, and the feast of cheating horses is always accompanied by singing and dancing. This is also a feast of original Mongolian music.

Compared with food, what attracts me is these wonderful performances. The melodious sound of the horse head qin and the sound of nature "Hoo Mai" took place one scene after another.

The hottest part of the deceitful horse feast is that the roasted whole lamb tied with red silk is ceremoniously pushed up. The whole feast of cheating horses lasted for two hours, and the essence of Mongolian national food culture was fully displayed in it, which was endlessly memorable.

After coming out of the cheating horse banquet, I went back to the yurt to rest for a while, and went to watch the large-scale nomadic performance "Meeting Obao".

This is an audio-visual feast of national customs, which is highly recommended. The price is not high, only 98 yuan.

The whole party is divided into three acts, namely: "Aobao Blessing", "Aobao Love" and "Aobao Grand Gathering". The performance displayed a historical scroll of the Obo culture of the horse-backed nation, praising the open, inclusive, and indomitable national spirit of the horse-backed nation.

In the amphitheater, there are no reserved seats, first come, first served, remember to go early.

The whole performance, dance beauty, lighting, and costumes are all very exquisite, and the interaction with tourists is also very good.

The performance conveyed the Mongolian people's simple concept of worshiping nature and the unity of man and nature, aiming to let the audience appreciate the colorful and profound Mongolian Aobao culture through live performances.

05｜The bonfire party went crazy

That night, from the horse cheating banquet to the live performance to the bonfire party, it was done in one go, and the coherence was very good. It's quite exciting from nightfall until late at night.

There is also a fireworks show at the bonfire party. The fireworks light up the grassland and people's smiling faces.

Then the bonfire party began. Those who knew each other, those who didn’t know each other, held hands and circled around the bonfire.
