trip preparation
Traveling for the Spring Festival has become a fashion. Due to the influence of geography and climate, there are no suitable Spring Festival holiday destinations around Shanghai, and the price has risen outrageously. The hot spring resort hotel usually costs around 1,000, but it has risen to 3,500 during the Spring Festival. It is really not cost-effective.
The price of air tickets for overseas travel is also ridiculously expensive. Unless you take a few days of annual leave, you only rely on the Spring Festival holiday. The time is short and the range of choices is limited. The popular Southeast Asian island tour is also full of people. I have been to Koh Samui, Thailand in the past two years. They are all Chinese, so it’s okay to be expensive, and the travel feeling is too bad.
For domestic long distance, there are basically two options:
One is the southern islands. I have been to Hainan and Xiamen a few years ago. It is recommended to give up these popular scenic spots. However, less famous scenic spots like Pingtan Island are still worth visiting. The second is the ice and snow tour. Going to the north for skiing is too cold, and it overlaps with the return flow, so the traffic is a big problem. In recent years, many ski resorts have sprung up in Southwest China, and the temperature is suitable. Besides skiing, you can also visit some good local scenic spots. Last year, I went to Bipenggou in Sichuan Province. I skied and saw the beautiful scenery of Bipenggou at the same time. It felt good. This year I chose Wumeng Mountain in Guizhou. First, the air ticket to Guizhou is cheap, only 3300 round trip. Second, the hotel does not increase the price, which is great value.
As usual, stay at home with your parents on the 30th day of the new year, and set off on the first day of the new year. The following is the itinerary for this trip:

2018-2-17, 18: Wumeng Mountain skiing, enjoy the majestic alpine grassland scenery of Wumeng Mountain.
http://hotels.ctrip.com/hotel/11365171.html.
2018-2-20: Hot springs in the morning, shopping in Guiyang city in the afternoon, flight MU3972 from Guiyang to Shanghai in the evening, the holiday is over.
2018-2-16, fly to Guiyang, drive to Wumeng Mountain
In the morning, I flew from Shanghai to Guiyang and arrived at 10.35. After eHi completed the car rental procedures, I simply ate some fast food and went directly to Wumeng Mountain in Liupanshui.
The whole journey from Guiyang Longdongbao Airport to Wumeng Mountain is 365 kilometers. It is basically a high-speed road with good road conditions. However, after entering the scenic spot, the road is narrow and traffic jams. The normal 5-hour journey took 6 hours.
Although there is an old Aimeng tent camp on the mobile phone navigation, it can only be guided to the Tianchi scenic spot in Wumeng Mountain. After seeing the Tianchi, continue to move forward. There is a sign about 2-3 kilometers away. Go to a simple gravel road and climb up the mountain along the dirt road. , It takes about 5 kilometers to reach the hotel. The road condition of this section of dirt road is very poor. If you want to go here, it is recommended to rent a hard-core off-road vehicle, such as the 1.8T four-wheel drive Yedi we rented this time. It is completely stress-free to run.
How bad the road conditions are, let’s look at the pictures:
The entire road is covered with gravel, and there are pits in some places, which will cause great damage to the tires. Although the journey is difficult, the scenery along the way is still very beautiful.
The dirt road only leads to the tent hotel, so although the road is poor, there are basically no cars, and you can walk while enjoying the beautiful scenery along the way.
The location of the tent hotel is the highest peak of Wumeng Mountain and the second highest peak in Guizhou, with an altitude of 2860 meters. The scenery is very good, and you can see the whole Wumeng Mountain, so there are also local vehicles coming up.
Wumeng Mountain has poor geological conditions and fragile ecology. Tourists are strictly prohibited from stepping on the grass. Wooden plank roads are built in the viewing areas for tourists to walk.
There are horses, cows, and sheep everywhere along the way, creating a grassland scenery.
The center of Wumeng Mountain is the Tianchi Lake. The navigation software can only guide you here. If you go further, you can ask for directions, or call the hotel, and follow their instructions. On the dirt road to the tent hotel, you can see this Tianchi all the way.
It was 5.30 in the evening when we arrived at the hotel. After settling down, we went to the restaurant for dinner, and then rested. After all, the journey of the day was still a bit hard.
On February 17, 2018, Wumeng Mountain skied, and the hotel enjoyed the sunset.
The price of skiing in Wumengshan Ski Resort is 208 yuan per 3 hours. If you stay in a hotel with the accommodation receipt issued by the hotel, you can get a discount of 168 yuan for 3 hours. Generally, you will ski for 3 hours in the morning, finish your lunch, and then ski for 3 hours in the afternoon. Hours.
There is almost 9 kilometers of mountain roads from the hotel to the ski resort (5 kilometers of mountain roads and 4 kilometers of asphalt roads). It takes more than 20 minutes to drive one way. You can go back to the hotel for lunch and then back again. Don’t go back to the hotel for lunch on holidays because of traffic jams. Returning to the ski slopes in the afternoon is almost impossible.
Wumeng Mountain is located in the Yi nationality of Guizhou, and the staff of the ski resort are all dressed in Yi nationality costumes.
Next to the elevator is an artificial snow machine.
Leaving the ski resort in the evening, the sunset is setting, the sky is full of sunset clouds, and the sunset is infinitely beautiful.
2018-2-18, continue to drift on the snow in the morning, and go sightseeing in Wumeng Mountain grassland in the afternoon.
Continue skiing in the morning, return to the hotel at 1:00 noon, rest after lunch, and drive around the mountains at 3:00 pm to enjoy the scenery of Wumeng Grassland.
The hotel is located at the highest peak of Wumeng Mountain. There are two glider take-off points here, with a visual drop of at least 1500 meters. The mountain is a rare open land in Guizhou, which is suitable for glider landing.
The Wumeng Mountain grassland is open, but it is also very monotonous, but this tent hotel has become a good embellishment. Walking around the mountain road, you can see the tent hotel from various angles.
There is also a pool near the hotel, which is smaller than the Tianchi below.
There are grasslands, and naturally there are horses.
Go around in the mountains.
Return to the hotel in the evening to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
The sunset at the tent hotel has always been one of the major landscapes of Wumeng Mountain, and this gorgeous moment can be seen every day.
Just like that, I watched the fiery red sun disappear under the distant mountains little by little until a full moon hung in the sky.
The sky on Wumeng Mountain is pure and full of stars, but the wind is too strong, the camera and tripod shake slightly, the starry sky photos are not so clear, and the Big Dipper can be seen when looking up, which is a beautiful scenery that cannot be seen in big cities.
The tent hotel under the sunset has unique charm.
Hotel Reviews:
There are a total of 9 rooms, and it is difficult to find a room during holidays.
Wumeng Prairie Guaimeng Tent Camp is located in Wumeng Prairie Scenic Area, Pan County, Guizhou Province, near Provincial Highway 212. The camp has functional areas such as restaurants, book bars, coffee bars, bars, and multi-functional screening halls. The camp covers an area of more than 300 mu, and the surrounding ecological environment is excellent. There are alpine meadows and wetlands, wild rhododendrons, flocks of cattle and sheep, birds and wild birds, clear streams, waterfalls and rocks, blue sky and white clouds, forming an interesting contrast. Most of the employees are nearby villagers, with simple smiles, original toasting songs, bonfire dances, Ashiqie and Yi costumes full of mysterious history of the Yi nationality...Let you experience the most mellow Yi nationality style.
I stayed in room A with a 360-degree view of Wenwen. The price is 1688 yuan per day. I booked for 3 days. The price includes three meals a day. You can eat as you go. Although it is not a delicacy, it is fresh from the local area. The ingredients taste good, and you can also order according to the customer's requirements, and you can eat as much as you want. In this way, 1688 yuan includes three meals a day for 2 people, which is still a great value.
In addition, every staff member, especially the manager, is very enthusiastic and treats the guests as friends, making them feel at home.
The hotel is on a high mountain, the navigation is not accurate, and there is a section of dirt road, which tests the level of self-driving, and the parking lot is sufficient. If you stay at the hotel, you can go skiing at the Wumeng Ski Resort at a discounted price. The conditions of the Wumeng Ski Resort are very good and very fun.
2018-2-19, 20, self-driving Xifeng, soaking in hot springs
Knowing that Wumeng Mountain Scenic Area will be very traffic jam near noon, so I checked out early in the morning on the 19th. After breakfast, I set off at 9.30 to go to Xifeng Hot Spring. The distance is 386 kilometers, which normally takes 5 and a half hours. Congestion began at 3 kilometers, the reason is the same, the road is narrow, there are few parking lots, and random parking on the roadside. Check into the hotel after 4:00 pm. After check-in, buffet dinner, and then hot spring.
Xifeng Hot Spring is one of the eight famous hot springs in China. It is located in central Guizhou, at the foot of Tiantai Mountain, 40 kilometers northeast of Xifeng City, with an altitude of 700 meters and surrounded by mountains. Xifeng Hot Spring is the largest radon spring in Asia. According to reports, due to the chemotherapeutic effect, mechanical stimulation effect and thermal stimulation effect of hot springs, especially radon gas, it can increase various metabolic and immune functions of the body, and is very effective for some diseases. good curative effect.
Whether it has such a curative effect or not, it is up to experts to evaluate it. My own feeling is that this is indeed an underground hot spring with a large amount of spring water. When tourists often change the water twice a day, it is very clean. The hot spring is very refreshing, and the muscle soreness caused by skiing and climbing on Wumeng Mountain can be relieved in one soak. The hot spring is located in a valley, surrounded by mountains, the heat evaporates, it is very humid, and the environment is very good for respiratory discomfort caused by the dry climate on the plateau.
enter
I lived in a deluxe double room in the Lamor Building. The room is spacious, with first-class facilities and very comfortable. It fully meets the 5-star standard.
Staying in the hotel can use the room card for unlimited hot springs, which is very good. The water quality of Xifeng Hot Spring is very good, and it feels good.
The free breakfast may be due to the Spring Festival, the catering is average, and the hotel has a lot of parking spaces.
Continue to soak in the hot spring with the room card before 11:00 am on the 20th, leave the hotel at 12:00, go to Guiyang City, shop and eat, then go to the airport to change trains, take flight MU3972, return to Shanghai smoothly, and end the happy Spring Festival holiday.
tips
1. Local products: The most famous local products in Guizhou are the three treasures of Guizhou, Gastrodia lingzhi and Eucommia, which are packed in gift boxes in supermarkets, which are good for giving away. Then there is prickly pear, prickly pear cake and prickly pear juice, which taste good.
2. Sun protection: Guizhou is located on a plateau, and Wumeng Mountain is at an altitude of about 2,600 meters. When skiing, ultraviolet rays reflect, and under double ultraviolet radiation, it is easy to get sunburned.
