At the end of August during the summer vacation, Xiaowei took the children to a garden homestay appointment. I have always wanted to share it with you, the problem of procrastination, it was not until the start of school that I had time to really sit down and savor that wonderful trip.
I have been paying attention to the homestays under the brand of secluded villages. A new project of Zuoan Garden, the garden-style courtyard, tatami mats and the surrounding 10,000-acre forest park are planted with grass at first sight. It is located in Shuiyu Village, Qinglonghu Town, Fangshan District, Beijing suburb, and it only takes one hour by car. When booking for summer vacation, it can be said that it is hard to find a room. Taking advantage of the weekend and making an appointment with girlfriends, the two families started a comfortable homestay life for two days and one night.
Our family booked Courtyard No. 5, which has a sandpit and a huge tatami bed. The living room is a small tatami mat, with light blue pillows and curtains, which has a Nordic minimalist feel. Leaning halfway on the tatami and looking out the window at the clouds, green trees and hills, and the bright sunshine, my heart is instantly healed. The sandpit in No. 5 courtyard is very attractive to children!
There is a big tatami bed in the bedroom, friends who like Japanese style must not miss it~ curtains, sheets and other light blue colors reflect a simple beauty; the partition between the bedroom and the washroom is made of logs, which is very simple , there is a feeling of returning to nature; the bathroom is spacious and tidy, and the experience is excellent.
The best friend's house booked the No. 4 courtyard full of literary and artistic styles. "I like the starry sky, I like autumn light". The pure-color wind chimes in the yard, the green lawn under the blue sky, the twinkling glass lanterns, and the colorful hydrangeas seem to be living in a dream, or perhaps the original appearance of life.
The living room is made of simple wooden furniture, which retains the original appearance of the wood, making the whole living room more rustic. The chandelier in the living room is also made of bamboo, and the warm light makes people feel the warmth of home. Between the living room and the bedroom is an open study room, where the children lie on the wooden books and describe the plain flower pots, and my best friend and I lean on the tatami and whisper. The bedrooms are clean and tidy and the beds are spacious enough.
The yard is full of hydrangeas, white, red, yellow, purple, green, and blue. You can choose any color~
There is also an afternoon tea carefully prepared by the aunts in the homestay. The sweet and sour homemade lemon tea is refreshing and thirst quenching; the sweet and juicy big watermelon is crispy and delicious; the soft and sweet homemade corn balls are also children's favorite. My baby ate 3 corn balls in one go, not only the children They like it, and adults like it too. There are also some snacks that children like, such as: hand-sprinkled seeds; pumpkin sticks and so on. The kids ate with gusto, and we ate full of praise.
The natural sandpit in the yard is the children's favorite. The children took off their shoes, built castles in the sandpit, dug the sandpit, drew pictures, and the children had a great time playing in it.
The children were tired from playing in the sandpit, so they set up a small tent on the lawn in the yard and played house, which was full of childish fun. This scene is very similar to the scene where we played house with our friends in the yard of our grandma's house when we were young.

The pleasant afternoon flies by quickly, and it's time for dinner! The hand-rolled noodles made by the housekeeper, paired with diced eggplant and tomato stew, are delicious and delicious, and the children eat them with great relish. I heard that the chopstick rests for the chopsticks are made by the housekeepers themselves, using local materials, which are environmentally friendly and practical, simple and exquisite, and the aunts are really ingenious.
After dinner, it was still very bright, and the children went to the forest park with a basket to pick up pine cones and dead branches to make handicrafts. The children have unlimited creativity, and they made a "higher and taller" tree for the two of us, which is very gratifying and touching.
The sunset here is amazing. The Shuiyu Village under the setting sun seems to be covered with a layer of golden coat, which is gorgeous and moving. Under the setting sun, the mountains, clouds, flowers and trees seem to have life and become agile. Silhouettes are reflected on the surface of the water, and I am in the light.
The lotus flowers in the Wetland Park are blooming brilliantly, and a dragonfly kisses my hand.
In the early morning of the next day, facing the rising sun and stepping on the dewdrops, we came to the Wetland Park for a morning run, breathing the fresh air of nature. In the early morning, the sun shines into the misty forest, as if you are in a fairyland, which makes people have a good mood all day. Wetland Park has a dedicated fitness trail, and there is also an instrument for recording running, which is very fun. I also met a few nearby residents who were jogging in the morning, running towards each other, and we greeted each other.
After returning from the morning run, the housekeeper has prepared a hearty breakfast, which suits our appetite. My baby ate two more corn balls for breakfast, and asked to take one away. After breakfast, we took the children to the nearby Luoping Picking Garden.
We were just in time for the grapes to ripen, so decided to pick them. The picking garden is not far from the homestay, about 10 minutes by car. The picking garden is very large, with all kinds of fruits and vegetables. The price of our grape picking is also reasonable, 30 yuan per kilogram.
I heard that there are water parks and pottery museums nearby, but unfortunately we have limited time, so we will save it for the next time we come to the hotel to experience it.
