tell me about this trip

On the National Day after the first wave of the epidemic subsided, I had an extremely strong desire to travel, and people from all over the country surrounded the expressway with their luggage on their backs. I took the person in our family who was very reluctant to go out on a journey (the reasons for his reluctance to go out are: 1. I don’t want to be "sieged" during the National Day; 2. I still have annual leave so I can find an off-season trip; 3. I don’t know where to go ).

However, what we didn’t expect was that we seemed to run counter to the people traveling along the way. In order to prevent traffic jams, we fully booked the time. As a result, we arrived at the Baiyun Airport, which was supposed to be bustling but sporadic, two hours ahead of schedule, and arrived empty by plane. The vast deserts and hills of the mountains are empty as far as the eye can see. It turns out that the world is not as you see it.

Preparation

Clothes: I brought the wrong clothes all the way. During the National Day, Guangdong wears short sleeves. The guidebook reminds us to bring a thick coat in late autumn. We may have misunderstood late autumn... The correct way to bring clothes should be warm clothes, sweaters, jackets and thick coats.

Shoes: A comfortable pair of sneakers, desert trekking shoe covers.

Accessories: sunscreen mask, hat, sunglasses, flashlight, thermos cup, dry food.

Skin care products: sunscreen, mask, toner, lotion, cream, etc. (Northwest is so dry, my oily skin turns into dry skin in seconds)

Precautions

1. There is no signal in the desert, so it is easy to get lost. You must keep up with the brigade when you are playing and taking pictures, so as not to go too far alone and fall behind.

2. Some projects seem simple but require a lot of energy. There is no shelter in the desert, and you can see far away, but actually walking is very far away, and you always have to go uphill and downhill, especially uphill, which is very tiring. So do what you can and keep as strong as you can.

3. The temperature difference between morning and evening in desert camping is very large, and it can drop to a few degrees directly at night. It is very cold, so you should wear the thickest clothes. And there is no toilet, so you have to find a way to solve it yourself.

4. Desert hiking is very windy and sandy. Don’t think about makeup or anything. You don’t need to wear lipstick when your face is covered with sand. Just try to put on some sunscreen. It is best to wear a hat with a tie, so as not to be blown away by the wind~

5. When you see flowers and plants you don't know, don't touch them casually. I was once cut mercilessly by a flower. Yes, it was a flower.

Take the bus from Yinchuan to Zhongwei early in the morning.

Take an off-road vehicle into the desert.

Greenery on the edge of the desert.

The sun is out, let's go!

I also have to hurry up to keep up with the team.

Desert hiking is a very meaningful thing, and it is also very demanding of physical strength. Although it is 8 kilometers, but the desert is too tiring to walk, constantly uphill and downhill, uphill and downhill... and the wind and sand are whistling.

I didn't know what it meant to "fortify the south of the Yangtze River", but what I heard was not what I saw. I sigh that the Creator is so wonderful, the urban area of Zhongwei is actually full of trees, insects and birds are singing, and the water of the Yellow River has nourished this land.

postscript

After returning from the desert, I soon welcomed my second baby, and that winter, the whole country ushered in a second wave of epidemics. Until now, we have experienced many waves of epidemics, and we have never left our hometown. Written on the occasion of the full moon in the Mid-Autumn Festival, I will miss that bonfire and commemorate that trip.
