When you travel to Tibet, you must see a spectacular glacier. Ice tongues stretching for several kilometers or even dozens of kilometers, serac forests of different shapes and shapes, and ice waterfalls pouring down like the Milky Way. During the in-depth wind-collecting tour of Tibet in winter, we photographed a large number of snow-capped mountains and glaciers. These glaciers are very beautiful. To say that they are not as famous as Puuogangri Glacier, Midui Glacier, Karola Glacier, Laigu Glacier, and Rongbuk Glacier , Yalong Glacier and other famous names, many of them are hidden deep in the mountains and are little known. For example, the Xiangla Glacier in Bianba is one of them.
Not to mention the Xiangla Glacier, I guess many friends may not even know about Bianba. Bianba is a county under the jurisdiction of Qamdo. It is located at the southern foot of Nyainqentanglha Mountain and belongs to the northeast of Tibet. Jiali County is connected to Dingqing County in Qamdo City in the north, Bomi County in Nyingchi City in the south, and Luolong County in the east. Bianba is a typical plateau county with an average altitude of 3,500 meters and a maximum altitude of over 5,500 meters.
Bianba is a transliteration of Tibetan, and its meaning cannot be understood according to Chinese. It means "auspicious brilliance, auspicious flame" in Tibetan. According to legend, in 1265 A.D., in order to further strengthen the management of Tibet, Basiba, the first national teacher of the Yuan Dynasty, returned to Luosa (now Lhasa) from Dadu (now Beijing). In the mound next to it, and asked to build a Buddhist hall here. After the completion of the Buddhist hall, the meaning of taking the torch is followed, which is the earliest origin of the side dam.
Although Bianba is not well-known, it is rich in tourism resources. Sanse Lake, Jinling Ice Lake, Reyu Nujiang Big Turn, Millennium Seabuckthorn Forest, etc. are all worth visiting. There are a lot of beautiful scenery, so that every friend who passes by will understand the true meaning of "the most beautiful scenery is on the road".
Among the many side dam attractions, although the Xiangla Glacier is not well-known, there is no information on the Internet, and it is not marked on the map, but I think it is the highlight of the highlights. It is really beautiful. If the three-color lakes that are kilometers away are packaged together into one scenic spot, it is definitely a scenic spot comparable to Daocheng Yading.
Xiangla Glacier is located in Puyu Village, Bianba Town, Bianba County. It is only a few kilometers away from the famous Sanse Lake. To go to Xiangla Glacier, you have to pass through Sanse Lake. So if you want to go to Xiangla Glacier, you can directly search for three Color Lake, and then continue to drive a few kilometers ahead along the road beside the former Sanse Lake. The two scenic spots can be played together, and you can reserve about half a day for playing time.
Although I did not find specific data on the Xiangla Glacier, it looked very spectacular. The weather on the day we visited was also very good. The glacier was shining brightly under the sunshine of Yangjiang, with the blue sky as the background color, and the photos were also very beautiful.
I originally wanted to raise the drone to take a panoramic view of the glacier, but when we raised the drone to the highest point, there were still tall and majestic snow-capped mountains around. These mountains seem not to be high, but they are actually not far away from us. It is not close, and the 500-meter drone is insignificant to them. This also leads to the fact that the angles we shoot are relatively similar, and it is impossible to take a panoramic view of the glacier.
Due to the lack of time in our plan, we did not go to the innermost part of the glacier to see the blue ice. Instead, we flew a few kilometers with a drone, and finally captured a little bit of blue ice, which was a kind of comfort to us. Glaciers are actually a form of water. They are transformed from ice and snow through a series of changes. When they first formed, they were milky white. After a long time, the glacier ice will become denser and harder, and the air bubbles in it will gradually decrease. Slowly it becomes crystal clear, forming a slightly blue crystal-like blue ice. If you are interested, you can prepare more ice equipment and leave enough time to walk to the innermost part of the glacier and go to the close-up Patting the blue ice of Xiangla Glacier will never let you down.
