Wen'an Haolic Hotel, a Kai Bean Collection by Hilton

At the end of 2018, at the invitation of the Hilton Wen'an Luneng Hotel, I had the honor to come to China Lvfa Health Ecological City (at that time it was also called Jingjin Luneng Lingxiu City in Wen'an County). I only remember that the weather was relatively cold at that time, and the snow-covered manor looked extraordinarily quiet .

And this time, because of the opening of Wen'an Haolik Hotel, I came to the manor again, just in time for the spring season, and experienced a healthy and energetic holiday environment.

Wen'an Haolik Hotel is located in Zhonglufa Health and Ecological City. It is the second Kai Bean Select Hotel by Hilton in Greater China after Taipei Times Residence, and it is also the first time the brand has settled in mainland China. The hotel is about one and a half hours' drive from Beijing, Tianjin, Langfang and Langfang North high-speed railway stations. It is an ideal choice for short-distance travel in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region.

Horlick is actually the name of a boutique winery owned by the owner in Australia. The six-storey hotel building is also logically presented in the form of a castle commonly seen in wineries, which is quite conspicuous in the park.

Walking into the lobby, the raised ceiling adds a bit of momentum to the original exquisite interior space. The front desk is on the right, and the background of the earth color system is covered with petals, among which there is no lack of embellishment of gold leaf, which not only adds extravagance, but also makes the whole picture more dynamic. After check-in, proceed to the guest room floor.

The sofa resting area on the left exudes the atmosphere of a European-style pastoral mansion, and the display racks serving as the background are scattered with various books and art ornaments inspired by wine.

The hotel has a total of 266 guest rooms, which are distributed on the 2nd to 6th floors of the building. The 8521 room I live in is located on the 5th floor. It is a deluxe room one level higher than the basic room type selected room, and has a small balcony more than the selected room.

The interior style continues the current trend of simplicity, blending white and beige together with asymmetrical bedside lamps and gray leather headboards. The design is subtracted, but it highlights the warmth and sense of home.

In addition to the simple main vision, other design elements of the interior space are presented through the blooming of the carpet, the carvings on the cabinet of the minibar, and the artistic paintings in the living area, alleviating the monotony that simplicity may bring.

Although limited by the area, there is no bathtub, but it has become my favorite indoor space. There are showers and toilets on both sides of the sink, and the emerald color of the background wall is the reason for my favorite. The wine elements in the guest rooms need to be discovered carefully. The hotel has planted mini succulents in the corks, which is really cute.

The hotel is also equipped with luxurious suites. The rooms adopt a modern and simple design, mainly in milky white, supplemented by dark walnut furniture and bronze metal decorations, so that guests can enjoy a pleasant and comfortable journey. Enjoy the clear water and deep lake and an oasis with unique Guwa style. There is an independent work space in the room, which integrates functionality and practicality.

Meile All Day Dining Restaurant

The other facilities of the hotel are arranged on the first floor together with the lobby. The hotel's only full-time western restaurant is named after Merlot, one of the varieties of red grapes. There is a wine barrel at the door, and it specializes in international cuisine.

The restaurant incorporates elements of the hotel's signature wine into dishes such as beef braised in Horique and grilled pizza.

The production of desserts surprised me even more, and I ate a lot. Some styles of cakes and mousses are also given wine elements.

There are also two private rooms named after the winery on the corridor outside the restaurant - "Chardonnay" and "Sauvignon Blanc".

Haolik Lounge

The Haolik Lounge next to the hotel lobby is covered with thick log floors, symmetrically distributed on the central axis with the bonsai table as the central axis, and several sofa seats with smoky blue fabric and khaki leather are arranged in the living room-style interior space. The bar is in the corner on the left.

Most of the special cocktails produced in Haolik Lounge are also based on red wine. Two hot and cold special drinks will be served in spring, summer and autumn and winter respectively-Horik Merlot Lemon Special Drink and Helik Mulled Wine Special Drink. There is also a social space called Magpie Tree Club on the first floor. The pure white grid ceiling is adorned with crystal-clear lamps, and the space combines the leisurely comfort of the sofa rest area with a sense of ritual in the conference-style seat layout. If you have enough time, you can even choose to play a game of billiards in front of the display racks with various art decorations.

The hotel also has a gym on the first floor. Although there is no swimming pool, the rich supporting facilities and activities around the hotel will add a lot to the upcoming May Day holiday.

Haolik Manor originated in Australia in 1983. After being acquired by the owner, it not only extended from Australia to China, became a high-end hotel, but also built a French-style wine castle near the hotel.

This wine castle, which looks like a French country house, has a construction area of ​​over 7,000m². It is a landmark high-end wine castle that integrates wine bottling, storage, display and sales. The teaching area, VIP wine tasting area, private wine storage area, etc. are also the highest points of the entire park.

The grape racks all around the wine castle must be very spectacular during the grape harvest season. At present, due to seasonal reasons, no seeds have been planted. For the time being, only a high-drinking "scarecrow" spliced ​​​​with discarded parts can be seen.

The modern agricultural science garden covers a larger area. In the greenhouse, modern agricultural techniques such as shallow liquid flow cultivation are used to cultivate vegetable crops such as peppers, pumpkins, and tomatoes, as well as bonsai plants such as Osaka pine.

It was mid-to-late April at this time, and I, who had never been to Wuyuan, Jiangxi Province to see rapeseed flowers, temporarily fulfilled my wish here. This is already the largest area of ​​rapeseed flowers I have ever seen, and it is indeed very beautiful.

I fell in love with horse riding in Yunnan, and I also found a reason to check in here again. Next time I come, I must go to the International Equestrian Club to experience a serious equestrian course. (Wealthy) guests can even bring their own horses here to raise and train.

There is also a tractor park in the park that is worth checking in. In addition to the "Bumblebee" we are familiar with, it is the first time I know that Lamborghini also has tractors. Friends in the same business joked that if there was a tractor afternoon tea would definitely be popular. Other activities include offensive and defensive arrows, kayaking, and cycling around the lake.

Wen'an Haolik Hotel is the first Hilton Kai Bean hotel in the mainland, and it is also the first hotel of this brand that I have stayed in.

Then we might as well look at it literally: tapestry, tapestry. It reminds me of the markets in Bali and Luang Prabang, the exquisite handmade fabrics hung behind the craftsmen on the stalls.

Although they all incorporate local characteristics, each tapestry has a different combination of colors and patterns. Just like selected brand hotels, it is a colorful collection of unique ones.
