Some people say that if you don't go to Xinjiang, you don't know how big China is, and if you don't go to Nalati, you don't know how beautiful Xinjiang is. Before coming to Nalati, I always imagined its various pictures in my heart. When I arrived at Nalati one morning in early autumn, I was still deeply shocked by the amazing beauty here. However, this shocking feeling has only just begun. This three-day and four-night in-depth tour of Nalati gave me a deep appreciation of its unique natural landscape and strong ethnic customs.
Nalati Tourist Scenic Area is located in Xinyuan County, Xinjiang, in the hinterland of Tianshan Mountains. It is surrounded by mountains on three sides, and the Gongnaisi River flows through it. It is a natural landform with beautiful scenery, elegant environment and rich vegetation. Nalati Scenic Area is a national AAAAA-level tourist scenic spot. The combination of beautiful grassland scenery and local Kazakh folk customs has become a famous tourist resort in Xinjiang.
Day 1: Tausani, Wusun Monuments, Panlong Valley
Taussani is Kazakh, meaning "beautiful valley". This is a window to understand the vertical natural landscape belt of Nalati, where you can see the perfect combination of snow mountains, forests, hills and meadows. Walking in here, as if you are in a natural three-dimensional picture scroll, it is refreshing. Since the weather was not very good when I went there, the snow-capped mountains in the distance were looming.

The Wusun Historic Site is the old place of the Wusun State in the Western Han Dynasty, and it was also an important town on the Northern Road on the Silk Road. After thousands of years of wind and sand, a large number of historical sites have been formed on this land: stone figures, ancient monuments, ancient temples, ancient tombs... standing here, telling the glory of the year. According to historical research, the Wusun clan lived the longest on the Nalati Grassland, and they lived in the Ili River Valley for 500 years. After more than 2,000 years of historical changes, all we can see now are the Wusun monuments left by them.
From the Wusu historic site, we came to the Panlong Valley Road, the Panlong Ancient Road, with a total length of 26.118 kilometers. The road winds and loops in the Panlong Scenic Area, and passes through the southern hillside of Nalati, connecting with the Volta Jiaota Scenic Road and the forest farm pasture road. On this Panlong ancient road, many essences of Nalati scenic spots and the best sightseeing viewpoints are concentrated. At noon on the first day, we walked the western part of the Panlong Valley Road. In this section, the distance of about a few kilometers is relatively gentle, and we can experience the fun of cycling. Riding along the Panlong Valley Road, the scenery along the way is so beautiful that Nalati in early autumn is the quietest and most intoxicating moment.
After riding back and taking a short rest, I did not come to the Yitigensai Folklore Interactive Experience Area. There are 4 traditional Kazakh yurts here, where I can learn traditional crafts such as leather goods, tapestry or embroidery from handy Kazakh girls.
In the folk custom experience area, I personally learned how to make naan. In the past, when men in Xinjiang traveled far away, the women at home would make noodles the night before, and bake a washbasin-sized naan in the big pot at home. good. Nang made in Xinjiang can be carried for a month without spoiling. Watching the naan I made baked, golden and golden, there is a sense of accomplishment after the experience, but it is also really delicious.
Day 2: East section of Panlong Valley, horseback riding, watching the sunset
Early the next morning, set off on Panlong Valley Road. Panlong Valley Scenic Area is the core part of Nalati Scenic Area. There are many mountains, deep valleys and dense forests, exotic flowers and fruits, auspicious animals and rare birds, and occasionally dotted with the pastoral style of the Kazakh Dongwozi Mountain. It has become a transcendent and beautiful mountain forest hidden in the heart of the grassland. Another world, a source of immortality. The Panlong Ancient Road in autumn is a landscape oil painting with strange lights and colorful carvings. Every plant and every tree is full of dyes.
This is the most characteristic scenic spot of Panlong Valley - Jiaolong going to sea. Standing on a high place overlooking the whole picture of the Nalati grassland, the grassland in the distance and the nearby mountains and forests complement each other, with distinct layers, rich and changing colors, against the white clouds in the sky, this is the most beautiful time in Nalati.
I experienced horse riding for the first time in my life in Nalati. I was curious and excited. It took two hours to ride a horse from the bottom of the mountain to the top of the mountain. 16 years old, in high school, taking part-time job at the racecourse during the summer vacation. However, it is too simple for the people who have lived here for generations. Local children start learning to ride horses at the age of 5, and become riders at the age of 10.
On the way back in the evening, I encountered the sunset. I have seen countless sunrises and sunsets, and the sunset in Nalati is the most beautiful. In the golden sky, there is a round of sunset slowly descending. This process is short and wonderful. The Nalati Grassland is shrouded in golden silence, and the mountains in the distance are covered with colorful clothes of sunset, and the white clouds have become like flames. red.
Day 3: experience weeding
At around 10:00 on the third day, I followed the herdsmen up the mountain to cut grass. At this time, due to the long winter, the Kazakhs began to stockpile winter grass for livestock. Every family had to go up the mountain to cut grass. Unlike the sickle we usually use, it is a scythe with a long handle made of metal. It is 1 meter long, and there is a crossbar in the middle. The blade is thin and curved, like a long crescent. Using this kind of sickle to cut grass requires skill. Under the guidance of local herdsmen, I experienced the fun of cutting grass.
Originally planned to go down from the mountain to go to the grassland in the sky, but due to changes in the itinerary, the three-day trip to Nalati ended reluctantly. But every beautiful moment here will be frozen and forever.
